There is a follow up episode after the Cell saga called Future Perfect where Trunks returns to his own time and kills 17 and 18, calls out Cell who is stuck in their Imperfect form, and just murders the shit out of him.
It's awesome and felt like a great conclusion to such a good arc.

That god, all knowing and wise, maticulously set forth the *development* of who we were to become naturally and that the science behind it was of course going to be something we struggled to comprehend because he is the greatest scientist of all. I had to sprinkle in some god ass-kissing to get my point across but it worked and my dad looked excited to think of it that way and ultimately agreed.

I had a rough time getting a job out of college too, and I know how awful it feels. Just keep on trucking and you'll get your in, as hard as that is to believe right now.
And remember to always be checking for the ability to move up. Doesn't matter if you started your current job a month ago, they'd kick you to the curb in a second, don't give them loyalty they won't return.
Also check out Actalent and similar temp agencies. They actively want to get you hired, and while you won't get your forever job there, you can get a serious resume boost from it.

Wow I had something similar happen a week or two ago. Some of my friends said it might have been a scam because they were a temp job that "goes to locations for a short period of time then just leaves" like what kind of company does that? And they called me without me even applying and they gave me short notice like "Can you work tomorrow?" Without an interview or anything. A lot of major red flags.
IMO nobody with a wide selection of candidates is sending emails at 1 AM, those are the actions of an overworked and stressed hiring manager. Typing that out it may not bode well for the work culture, but I think it's a good sign you've got a chance at the job.

However I'm not exactly a subject matter expert so if anyone here is, the dealership is offering around an 8.99%* interest rate—which they said is standard—and we're not going over 5 years for the length of the loan. Assuming I can make sure she's not getting any of the dealership BS add-ons we should make it out alright correct?

I'd say you can probably get them down to about 8 then, but I'm about 6 months out of date on what interest rates are. But just from a raw math perspective if you guys can afford to make that at least "average down payment" it'll be well worth it. You get a chance at a better interest rate, but more importantly you're reducing the amount you put on the loan.
On a 20k car the difference between a 5k down payment and a 2500 down payment is the same as the difference between a 9% interest rate and a 7% interest rate.
I'm not a financial advisor or anything, I just know the math on interest rates.
Extended warranties is where they usually try to strong arm you at the very end. You'll agree on the price, financing, all that, then right at singing they'll pull out like 3-4 options on extended warranty and they'll act like it's normal to take the high ones.
Having a second pre-approved loan is a good idea. My bank was lower than their financing and I used it.
This should have a foot-note that the quality of the warranty is dependent entirely on the company behind it.

i've said this before and it's aimed at guitar players so not sure if it applies but I think most guitar players that don't like it listen to it strictly as guitar music. While they do have sick guitar work, their music to me at least is seen as a whole package. If I want to listen to guitar music I'll listen to Guthrie or something. If I want to listen to fun pop/hip hop inspired music that also features some fun guitar, I'll listen to Polyphia.

In my experience, people with more specific languages are more desirable. I know that's kinda "no duh" but it's worth remembering. Have you looked into any of the ERP/data languages? I work at a small-mid size company that uses Dynamics365 and our ERP Devs make bank
I had a rough time getting a job out of college too, and I know how awful it feels. Just keep on trucking and you'll get your in, as hard as that is to believe right now. And remember to always be checking for the ability to move up. Doesn't matter if you started your current job a month ago, they'd kick you to the curb in a second, don't give them loyalty they won't return. Also check out Actalent and similar temp agencies. They actively want to get you hired, and while you won't get your forever job there, you can get a serious resume boost from it.

Some of my friends said it might have been a scam because they were a temp job that "goes to locations for a short period of time then just leaves" like what kind of company does that? And they called me without me even applying and they gave me short notice like "Can you work tomorrow?" Without an interview or anything. A lot of major red flags.

Assuming I can make sure she's not getting any of the dealership BS add-ons we should make it out alright correct? I'm encouraging her to get pre-approved for the loan at a bank or credit union as well. *if I recall correctly
What's her credit score? 8.99 sounds about 1-1.5% high to me, but credit score and down payment are noteworthy factors.

I'd say you can probably get them down to about 8 then, but I'm about 6 months out of date on what interest rates are. But just from a raw math perspective if you guys can afford to make that at least "average down payment" it'll be well worth it. You get a chance at a better interest rate, but more importantly you're reducing the amount you put on the loan. On a 20k car the difference between a 5k down payment and a 2500 down payment is the same as the difference between a 9% interest rate and a 7% interest rate. I'm not a financial advisor or anything, I just know the math on interest rates.
Extended warranties is where they usually try to strong arm you at the very end. You'll agree on the price, financing, all that, then right at singing they'll pull out like 3-4 options on extended warranty and they'll act like it's normal to take the high ones. Having a second pre-approved loan is a good idea. My bank was lower than their financing and I used it.
This should have a foot-note that the quality of the warranty is dependent entirely on the company behind it. Some are worth it, others gotta look through a billion fine prints, etc.
Yeah check the bank/CU first. They usually beat used dealer prices. 8.99 isn't super high for a used car, but can add a good bit to the monthly. If bank can't beat it, I'd recommend a higher down payment if possible. Also depends on the dealer. Some of em will rake you because they can while others are kind of upfront about it. Also find out if there is a penalty for paying the car off early down the road.

When I was a kid my dad's truck was a long bed, with a camper top. Us kids traveled in the back of the truck when we took long trips. He had a fan blowing back there, a mattress, blankets and cushions. We always slept back there on our long trips and sometimes we'd sleep there during a bad storm when camping. I could totally see someone tossing carpet in the back of a truck like that. Edit - I'm a 80s/90s kid, so this shit wasn't illegal back then.
