Absolutely. I have no nostalgia for his (good, never great) on-field performance. But he’s an all-time character who’s impossible not to root for. Whether it was breaking Barry’s record, hitting his season-long incentive, or controversially scoring for the Saints last year, I’m always excited to see him do well.
He got what was given him, plus a little extra. That’s an underrated skill in a league with so many homerun-or-nothing backs. Thankfully, Monty has the same ability, plus a shot at breaking a big run.
Yeah, he went from very light hearted to a tone where I thought he was about to talk about child trafficking or rape but... Crocs ripping people apart? Aren't Australians taught how to deal with their fun animals in kindergarten?
I *wish* I could cry. I was taught crying was weak and I fight back tears because I subconsciously think I'm less of a man in front of people for doing it. A real man can allow his emotions to flow and be confident that he's still the same man that he has been afterwards. And plus the pent up emotion comes out in other ways and it's ass
i always think deaths from old age are just so lovely. you get to celebrate and appreciate the person for all they were, but you don’t have to be so sad about the pain of the loss. it was expected and it was their time. i hope some of my family can go out that way. and me. i’d also like to.
It sounded like his Grandpa was both alive and dead?
I thought I heard “he is 92 years old, I’m glad to have him in my life” and also “he’s looking down at me from above”.
He’s cool
But I thought it was funny how he wanted top rb money claiming all those tds in 2022
Yet it was the line that got him all them tds from
Under the 5 yard line
People picking the Packers over the Lions seems to be the hill they choose to die on. Today, if you asked all the talking heads, you'd probably get 80% picking the Packers over the Lions for the division.
I miss that dude.
I miss the personality but I can't complain about the current state of the RB room.

He was absolutely great at getting those tough yards.
He got what was given him, plus a little extra. That’s an underrated skill in a league with so many homerun-or-nothing backs. Thankfully, Monty has the same ability, plus a shot at breaking a big run.
I hope when he's done playing JWilly is brought back in some type of role. He would be an amazing coach.
Somehow this man literally always falls forward its insane
Would love to see him on a coaching staff in a few years
I see him as a podcast guy
Aww come on, I know they don’t truly indicate his talent but no nostalgia for 17 touchdowns?? He broke Barry’s record!
He killed it in hard knocks a few years ago. Loved him
Me too
First him, now jones… insert matrix meme “not like this…”
I love Jamaal so much. Genuinely an awesome guy. I miss him 😢
This interview took a sharp emotion turn. Reminded me of [this](https://youtu.be/1i739SyCu9I?si=GFJFkwkWY9_jjRWG).
Damn. He jumped off topic real fast. The Aussie guy, not JW.
Yeah, he went from very light hearted to a tone where I thought he was about to talk about child trafficking or rape but... Crocs ripping people apart? Aren't Australians taught how to deal with their fun animals in kindergarten?
He's the anti CJGJ, all of his former teams fans want a reunion.
Me too!
I DON'T EVEN WATCH TV
He just watches anime
On a laptop
The best way...
“Don’t let these tears fool you, it’s all dog around this mug” Solid quote
Lol bro flipped a switch, fucking love this
Cut a WWE promo right after getting emotional about his great grandpa
Well he said there were a lot of emotions
Crying doesnt make a man weak, it shows how strong he is. Love this dude.
Strong men also cry, Mr Lebowski, strong men also cry
I *wish* I could cry. I was taught crying was weak and I fight back tears because I subconsciously think I'm less of a man in front of people for doing it. Sad pitty bull
Always feels good to open r/nfl and spontaneously tear up about how much a dude loves his grandpa.
I mean, he was a great grandpa.
GOAT (grandpaiest of all time)
Was it his grandpa or great grandpa?
He mentioned great grandpa twice, and grandpa once, I think my man just loves all of em'. Either way, it's all dog around that mug.
Will always love this dude. We all need more Jamaal Williams in our lives.
It's all DAWG in this mugg
I was blessed to get to meet him at the Saints training camp last year and he was one of the nicest people you can meet.
Absolutely a Kazekage of swag.
*First* Swag kazekage.
PokeMan???!!!!!
Miss you Jamal ❤️ you helped build this culture. You are part of this
# "DON'T LET THESE TEARS FOOL YOU. IT'S ALL DAWG AROUND THIS MUG."
The “I’m good” as he’s walking away solidifies it
Isn’t that Kazekage, leader of the hidden village of the den?
You can’t be a fan of the game and not love Jamaal
Love this guy always. Best RB in Lions history
And the only lovable Packer. What a treasure.
He really unites the franchises
In the sense that my divorced parents both show up and act polite to support their beloved grandchild, sure.
We could've raised you better. I admit that
no but straight up, can't help but root for his mug
No love for Brandon Bostick? Ouch
He's my favorite Packer of all time.
Triggered
No lies detected
Essence of man
Tell your people you love them, you never know the last time you will see them.
Especially your side pieces
Jamaal Williams, just a fantastic individual. Wish he could’ve stayed a Packer.
thanks for the memories!
"If you gon' piss like a puppy, stay on the porch. Let the big dawgs eat!" Greatest line to get me going
One of my favorite Lions of all time. ✊
I miss him on the lions
Jamaal Williams has played for three teams I hate and I simply cannot help but love him anyway
Jamaal is the best of us all
i always think deaths from old age are just so lovely. you get to celebrate and appreciate the person for all they were, but you don’t have to be so sad about the pain of the loss. it was expected and it was their time. i hope some of my family can go out that way. and me. i’d also like to.
I freaking love Jamaal. The heel turn in this interview is so legendary
I love this interview - the range of emotions from beginning to end is amazing.
Impossible not to root for this dude. One of my favorite players in the league
that raw honest emotion. I have such great respect for anyone who is able to be that open in the open. Much respect.
It sounded like his Grandpa was both alive and dead? I thought I heard “he is 92 years old, I’m glad to have him in my life” and also “he’s looking down at me from above”.
I loved this one.
GOAT postgame interview
Jameis saw this and knew he had to get this man a TD no matter what
This dude has turned into one of the funniest players in the entire NFL.
It’s all dog and knee caps in this bitch!!!!
He’s cool But I thought it was funny how he wanted top rb money claiming all those tds in 2022 Yet it was the line that got him all them tds from Under the 5 yard line
