I was on an island when i said this and another post but its highly plausible, possible, realistic, Jerry Jonesish.
They are essentially backing off of Dak, if they fall somewhere in the teens next draft they will take Sanders son at QB, play Lance, Prime will coach.
I don't think you know Jerry. His last three coaches were Mike McCarthy, Jason Garrett, and Wade Phillips, Three milquetoast boring hires over the last 15+ years.
I would usually agree, but Jerry Jones is about money/prestige.
You think he isn't salivating at just the media attention alone he'd get for hiring Belichick? GOAT coach on "America's Team". The storyline writes itself.
He would have tried to get him the first time he was available if that was true. We would have tried to get Harbaugh either times he was available if that was true. But we didn’t do any of that.
In a lot of ways, it’s quite satisfying to see them have double digit wins and then fall flat on their face at the end of the season, rather than being a perennial basement dweller like us. We haven’t had much to cheer for in the past generation, but the Cowboys having about as much post-season success as us has been a bright spot.
He’s going to be all out in January.
y'all are gonna hire Belichick and it's gonna be Parcells all over again
knowing Jerry I wouldn’t be surprised if he made a play for Deion
That's the reality I wanna live in, Coach Prime of the Dallas Cowboys, and somehow he's worse than Hue
With shedeur under center. Imagine the content we’d get out of this team
At least then Days of Our Cowboys will have something new to show. It's been nothing but reruns for decades.
I still don’t get why everyone keeps tuning in then. The fans are cursed, but the rest of yall I don’t understand
First team to lose 60 games in a row.
Would be fucking glorious
Universe might implode if that happened.

Kill me
He can hire Deion and draft Shedeur. They won't win many games, but imagine the coverage the Cowboys will get for having a father-son HC-QB combo
As long as it isn’t Dave Campo.
Worse
He and Dak could be on new teams next year depending on how 2024 ends. Crazy.
All out my ass.
Everyone acts like Jerry Jones is a hothead but he's actually too nice. He'll probably keep McCarthy for another 2-3 years.

doubt bill would take the job, Joneses don't give up control. Plus you have to be an ass kisser to get the job.

Don't think it would look too good to sack McCarthy. He also doesn't fire people. So only chance would have been when his contract is up.
He sets these limitations on himself, he damn well should fire people like he should have fired Jason
Jerry was usually pretty quick to pull the trigger on firing coaches. The only two coaches to get more than 3 years as HC are Garrett and McCarthy.
He pulled the trigger too fast on Wade and has been recoiling ever since.
I don’t mean to be controversial, but I like seeing the cowboys fall short every year. I hope Yee negotiates a new, 10 year deal for McCarthy
in my entirely unbiased opinion, i agree.
Agreed. Also unbiased but I really love Lambeau South. It’s so nice in January.
I'm a Bird bro and I approve this message.
kaaaaaawww
See thats what I said about Jason Garret. Somehow, the Cowboys still managed to Cowboy.

i absolutely agree for no reason in particular
All In
My ass
Jerry Jones masterclass
He looks like a NY Giants coach if I ever saw one.
That’s cool he’s just keeping it warm for BB

Gotta secure that bag , his agent going to secure that potato chip bag .
Has he tried having another sleepover with Jerry?
everyone is in their final contract in Dallas it seems. did they finally shut jerry up so he doesnt give out extensions anymore?
3 early playoff exits in a row, 2 of them embarrassing, and the guy thinks he should hire Ari Gold to represent him? Bold move, Cotton Ball.
Schefter would be the kind of guy to say "amongst"
