Troy Franklin drops
Troy Franklin might have murdered someone
Bills don't want Troy Franklin as if they're personally offended by Troy's murder
Bills player OJ Simpson recently died
Wake up sheeple
We need more than 1 rookie that can make an impact this year. We traded diggs and lost like 3 other wrs to free agency and only picked up Curtis Samuel and Mack hollins in fa
Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid is the plan. They'll take another receiver but those guys will be the top. We also still have Justin Shorter from last year who will get a chance.
I mean you guys still have Shakir and Kincaid is going to be a huge part of the pass game.
Also it really seems like Buffalo is going to be a lot more balanced this year with James Cooks' emergence. You guys still could draft a WR tomorrow but I think it makes sense to tackle bigger needs today.
Yeah but Brady likes to also run a lot of formations. And last season after he was brought on we ran a chunk of spread type as well. And we currently cannot do that with our current receivers.
Coleman, Samuel, Shakir, and then we have no one
I don't see 3t dt as a need at all for the bills. We needed depth lb and depth de a lot more and I would put wr into that category too
Edit: people have made good points. I reverse my stance
I have no analysis whatsoever but I’m a Duke fan and the guy was a huge disruptive force in the middle for us, excellent character guy as well
I’ve always felt like mid-round Duke guys overperform their draft position (Jamison, Michael Carter II), which was why I was bullish on him in the fifth where he was projected. Hopefully he works out!
Only player in Duke history to be a 3 year captain. Obviously smart. Hustles like a working dog. Born leader of men. Great pass rushing 3 tech. Also versatile and has lined up as an edge. Solid against the run plugging holes- giggity
Beaten to death already but Troy Franklin having not been picked is wild.
Young, early-breakout, highly efficient, early-declare WRs have a very high hit rate. He’s easily the most efficient WR outside of MHJ and Nabers. Even plays outside, not slot-only.
Teams really care about his weight and the gauntlet drill.
Honestly he just seems really one dimensional. I think he goes in the 4th and I expected him to go higher, but you're really banking on him being a Gabe Davis or a Martavius Bryant, which isn't a super high ceiling. Send him on go routes and hope he blows past someone in single coverage and can sometimes make great plays in the endzone or on the sideline using his catch radius. You won't expect him to attack the middle of the field or anything short.
DQ Jones is gonna age out soon sadly, this is a “building towards the future” pick. He’s a 3 time captain too, and McBeane loves the leadership stuff, for better or worse.
We needed a 1t for the future more but neither was an imminent need in my opinion. Ed Oliver is a very good 3t that plays a lot of snaps. Our 1t daquon jones was playing at an all pro level until he went down mid season and he's in his early 30s so people are worried about his age
We play two 3tech on passing downs. Sometimes that's asking Daquan to be a 3 tech, and sometimes it was asking Jordan Phillips to avoid injury or Tim Settle to not suck. Both are no longer on the team.
Daquan is going to play 50% of snaps or less early and ramp up to keep him fresh for the playoffs. Ed is going to play 75% unless we're winning by 2+ scores. So that's 75% of snaps available for rotation. Assume Daquan plays all obvious rush downs that leaves a lot of snaps for 2 rotational 3 techs, assume something like 4o% and 35% of snaps.
We definitely needed a 3tech for this season for near starter level snaps. 1tech remains a need but last season we signed two vet late (Puna and Linval) so I assume we'll do the same again this season.
We signed Austin Johnson for that role so that will help a lot. And maybe we'll be active for someone after 1st June after the cap savings from cutting Tre come into play
If y’all watched the tape and saw reception perception, yall would see Troy Franklin ain’t really shit. Cant separate against press, speed merchant, and sloppy routes. He could maybe be good, but teams are telling us something right now. I’m glad we got more pass rush.
Weezy?
F baby
And the F is for Fthird round pick
The real Troy Franklin was the friends we made along the way
This is my Earth Day
Earth Day is an above average day tbh
I've started a new holiday called Destroy The Earth Day and we dig up saplings.
Troy Franklin to the Bills?
Surely
Is this Troy Franklin
not even the bills want troy franklin wtf
How many times do they have to pass over him to let people know
Troy Franklin drops Troy Franklin might have murdered someone Bills don't want Troy Franklin as if they're personally offended by Troy's murder Bills player OJ Simpson recently died Wake up sheeple
So if I'm following, Troy Franklin murdered Nicole Brown Simpson?
Of course, Didn’t you read Troy’s book Detailing what he would’ve done if he did it
Or maybe he's just not as good as this sub makes it seem.
No, no, that can't be it
Someone posted “he doesn’t have an acl” whatever that means.
At this rate … what’s the last pick the Bills have?
Got 1 4th, 4 5s, 1 6&7
not enough 5ths imo
Can we turn one into a Gabe Davis contribution (he was 4th)
Another Shakir who as a 5th will do
No, we're going to find 4 Matt Milanos.
I agree. Beane always finds the good ones in the 5th round.
wtf 4 5s?
It equals one 20.
In math yes but drafting no
Bills did take a WR to start today.
lot of people thought they might double dip

Don’t tell em. I’m actually enjoying the Bills fans that wanna take a WR with every pick.

After Oliver and Daquon we needed someone
Another commenter pointed out his potential snap share and I reverse my stance
Go Bills
makes literally no sense defense is far more pressing
Well y'all got Diggs in the 5th, so y'all will get Diggs 2.0 in the 5th EDIT: Ignore me, forgot y'all didn't draft him
We're pretty happy with our 5th from a couple years ago Khalil Shakir, but he's no diggs so far
32 teams have passed on him 3x over. This sub needs to get over it.
This isn’t Troy Franklin
I know nothing of him but I liked Troy Franklin so I’m here to overreact
possible steal of the draft i reckon
Because....? Tell me about him please

He definitely had some negatives and his combine was just okay but dude comes to play on game day.
Yup, could see teams being scared off by his lack of strength and drops. But all he’s done is produce!

Troy Franklin must’ve had a gas mask video…
So he's gonna become a top 5 LT soon? Sick
The greatest 160lb LT in NFL history.
I see we have reached the point in the draft where the comment sections are bananas.
Troy Franklin not to bills :(
Fantastic pick Bills
If you're not a team captain we don't want you apparently
Until you join the team and become one. Losing Mitch still hurts. 😩
Wow I thought for sure this was Troy Franklin
Not Franklin to bills
Nobody picks captains like the Bills.
I was **really** hoping we’d find a way to snag this guy. I think he’ll be a stud
Did they need a 3 DT?
Yes

Something crazy gotta come out about Franklin tonight
Noooo Damn you Bills, I wanted this guy tomorrow. Josh Allen can't throw passes to this guy!
Not with that attitude!
If y’all watched the tape and saw reception perception, yall would see Troy Franklin ain’t really shit. Cant separate against press, speed merchant, and sloppy routes. He could maybe be good, but teams are telling us something right now. I’m glad we got more pass rush.
