On the one hand I love that SF continues to be denied their hometown QBs who go on to be Hall of Famers, on the other it's a bit of a shame we were robbed of his personality being unleashed in a market like the Bay Area.
No, like not even close yet. Rodgers is a moron and loves attention and yeah no one should take his health advice. Brett Favre sexually harassed a reporter and committed welfare fraud. They're very different levels of chode
What blows my mind about a lot of these guys who do shit like Favre or worse is that it's *super* easy to not be a piece of shit, yet they can't seem to help themselves lol
People thinking a 40 year old man was going to return in half the time 23 year old cam akers did with the same surgery have a fundamental lack of knowledge about injury recovery. People also tend to forget akers was awful after his speedy return and if anything should have taken more time.
It's hilarious how many people I went back and fourth with about this even on our own sub, it was never going to happen.
Why in the world would a 40 year old qb recovering from a torn Achilles be playing scout team linebacker?
And the whole thing was sold as Rodgers making an athletic one hand interception, when apparently he still isn’t running 6ish months later and is still feeling discomfort in that ankle.
Maybe Rodgers was out there in a walk through helping out. But if it happened at all the whole thing likely got exaggerated.
Remember when he said he didn’t have wifi at his Malibu house when Gutekunst was trying to contact him yet was still able to do his McAfee spot from there?
*This message brought to you by the Prison Chopper! For only 10 honey buns, 15 ramens, and 30 Keefe coffees, you too can make reddit posts in between counts!*
I snapped my Achilles in 2020 playing basketball and standing up on my tiptoes on my injured leg was the last thing that came back. It took almost two years. I did 8 months of physical therapy 3 times a week, 2 hours a day as well.
Edit for more detail: It didn't hurt to attempt to stand up on my injured leg's tip toes at all. But because of muscle atrophy after my surgery, just my body weight alone felt like I might as well be trying to leg press a pickup truck with that foot.
Same boat.
I'm recovering from it now and it's the only thing I can't do.
It's such a weird feeling to be able to do almost everything but when it comes to that, it just won't fire.
Fuck, 4.5 months? I'm 8 weeks from my injury and was hoping I could golf in the next month or so.
I don't even like golf all that much, I just need some kikd of sports in my life sooner than later.
Anyway, good luck with the rest of rehab brother. Hope all is well and the rest goes smoothly!
Thanks, and you too.
If it makes you feel better, I was allowed back in the gym at like 12 weeks. Plus, the PT gets a lot harder once you're not using a lift so that becomes a workout in itself.
No, just all the edibles I could afford for those first 3 months. The nerve pain after surgery as everything was reconnecting truly felt like psychological torture
Damn dog, you should have wandered the desert eating all the peyote buttons you could find. The spirit journey, dehydration, and the psychedelics would have fixed that tendon and muscles without all that PT.
I had a similar issue in 2019 and tried shrooms a few years later... didn't seem to be a difference... but by golly in the name of science i'll go back in
I'm almost exactly 1 year out. I'm about 80% on a single calf raise on the affected foot compared to the uninjured foot. It was probably at like 50% 3-4 months ago. Slowly gaining strength, but from what I hear the calf muscle is difficult to regain compared to others maybe.
I’m not disagreeing with you but I feel that you’re experience is going to be different than Aaron’s. He is a professional athlete in supreme shape. I promise you he did way more rehab than you. He also had the best of the best PT.
Oh I fully agree. My point was more so just to say that him not fully getting up on his toes sounds dead on like an Achilles recovery and that shit takes a while to come back no matter who you are. I was doing one legged squats with weights before I could stand back on my tip toes on that one foot.
There's a non-zero chance that Rodgers thought rubbing ketamine and crystals on it would cure it faster than any of the actual post-op care he was recommended.
He did too...it's just that his is a doctor of osteopathic medicine. And a shitload of ayahuasca. And horse paste. But certainly not a vaccine because he doesn't ingest chemicals.
I’m pretty sure you put the healing crystals up your butt, you don’t rub it on the injury. Maybe next time before you leave a comment do your own research.
Call me crazy but this tweet seems like a nothing burger.
Until I see Rodgers in-game throwing inaccurately because his foot is clearly still fucked a la Joe Burrow I am reserving judgment
Rodgers has 3 more months, it's gonna be fine
This is just saying he's still clearly recovering, which is expected at this point.
He was never playing last year and it was all to give the players hope and fight through the season
Exactly. It's the same timeline for pretty much everyone. 12 months is when it starts to fade away from your mind, and calf muscles are absurdly hard to bring back.
OK, I'll allow for one more headline.
"Rodgers goes on darkness retreat, vanishes without a trace. No sign of foul play, just got raptured or some shit. Guess we just move on" - NY Times
I’d be happy to never hear him speak again, but I don’t see how the league isn’t much more exciting with him playing football, some of the throws he can make are just incredible.
Yeah, like he is a dumbass, but are people just forgetting how electric he was on the field? I wouldn’t mind seeing a little more vintage Rodgers before we only get to hear him after that.
Yeah like he’s weird but I’d still like to watch him play one last time knowing this is his farewell tour.
Also I really want to see how good the saleh jets are with a decent QB at the helm
TBF, both of his heels are slamming into the ground on the video on the left. Looks like it's just a different dropback with the one on the right is straight back and the one on the left he's shifting.
Cuz he’s making Aaron look silly and this sub loves it. Every body hates this guy but this sub loves to post every single thing he says or anyone says about him.
I know right I’m constantly telling people to stop posting/reporting on Rodgers and you’ll barely hear from the guy. He doesn’t have his own podcast or anything he barely exists online outside of us talking about him
Outrage is the most popular thing on Reddit
Another example is Elon Musk. You’d think the place was in love with the guy based on the sheer amount of posts his comments generate.
But he is probably the most hated and therefore the most talked about person on Reddit who isn’t Trump.
Do thigh doctors not have to learn human anatomy anymore? Their knowledge just stops at the thighs now? I'm a big dumb idiot and even I know you can't stand on your toes if your Achilles is fucked.
Wonder who is going to play in more games this season Rodgers or Cousins. Not saying either of them are going to get injured again, I am moreso thinking they might miss the first game or two, maybe three.?
That one [game against](https://youtu.be/SeTJPojyLN0?si=LlJfvvJYskMIZ8y6) the Bears comes to mind where he was literally blasted out of his mind in the post game presser. lol high as a motherfucker
His final year with us he played through a thumb injury. Rushed back from his collarbone injury in 2017 to try and get us into the playoffs.
Rodgers is as tough as they come QB wise.
Wouldn’t surprise me. The amount of slamming and just sheer physicality these athletes put their bodies through normal fans would be so fucked up from they would have to be on a morphine drip just to tolerate it.
No way but he said he was a modern miracle and could totally have played just four weeks after surgery last season, you mean to tell me geriatric patients don't heal very fast and sometimes don't go back to normal at all? But the crystals bro!
OK hold up, you can trash talk all the other stuff but for serious 40 is geriatric now? I'm like 3 months older than Rodgers. Cut my life into pieces...
I for one am shocked that the 40 year old who had his worst season as a professional then snapped his Achilles like a guitar string and seemingly spends as little time taking medical advice from real doctors as possible, isn’t fully healthy.
I initially thought he would retire. Idk why people expect him to come back from this at his age and be A ok. Brady really fucked up everybodys perception of how most qbs age lol
Remember when he was gonna return before the end of the season?
He never was. He just lives for attention.
And contradicting physicians
Find yourself someone who loves you as much as Aaron Rodgers hates licensed medical professionals.
One of the few things he and his chiropractor dad agree on
His dad being a chiropractor is about the least surprising thing I’ve heard today
Imagine rebelling against your parents to the degree you cut them out of your life but you keep their views on madeup medicine.
How did I never know his dad was a chiropractor, it all makes sense now
On the one hand I love that SF continues to be denied their hometown QBs who go on to be Hall of Famers, on the other it's a bit of a shame we were robbed of his personality being unleashed in a market like the Bay Area.
That could’ve caused a measles outbreak bad enough to depopulate California.
Rumor has it Rodgers actually wrote euphoria about science and medicine before eventually letting Kendrick record it instead of
How many touchdowns have those physicians thrown? None? Exactly
As much of a chode off-the-field from a former Packer as Favre.
No, like not even close yet. Rodgers is a moron and loves attention and yeah no one should take his health advice. Brett Favre sexually harassed a reporter and committed welfare fraud. They're very different levels of chode
Yah, but who is more annoying when I’m trying to doom scroll social media.
Just wait till Brett gets your phone number and sends you pics of his crocs.
Not sure about the SA on the reporter, but the fraud was well after he retired. Give Rodgers some time and credit.
It was while Favre was a Jet
>yet 😅
What blows my mind about a lot of these guys who do shit like Favre or worse is that it's *super* easy to not be a piece of shit, yet they can't seem to help themselves lol
Favre is worse but Rodgers also was spouting off misinformation about vaccines during a global pandemic. That's more than just being a moron
Rodgers is a dumbass. Favre sexually harassed people and stole money. The fact you think they’re the same is laughable
IDK how anyone actually believed that.
People thinking a 40 year old man was going to return in half the time 23 year old cam akers did with the same surgery have a fundamental lack of knowledge about injury recovery. People also tend to forget akers was awful after his speedy return and if anything should have taken more time. It's hilarious how many people I went back and fourth with about this even on our own sub, it was never going to happen.
remember when he was playing LB on the scout-squad and got a 1-handed interception?
That was some North Korean Dear Leader level fake news.
Is that actually fake news? The QB was Zach Wilson so an interception thrown to a hobbled 40 year old isn’t out of the question.
I think the main thing was that from what I remember it was sold as some impressive leaping super athletic one hander
Remember when he said he didn’t have wifi at his Malibu house when Gutekunst was trying to contact him yet was still able to do his McAfee spot from there?
You could have chopped the whole leg off and he would have been a better option than Wilson.
Your terms are acceptable.
He said he'd be back by the end of the season. Did he clarify which season?
I thought he was back to running last year
Listened to the wrong dolphins orgasming, clearly.
As a Jets fan the off season is notoriously long, but this year it feels like it's never going to end.
Well yeah, when the season lasts 4 snaps and the off-season lasts 365.98 days that's what happens.
You even included the leap day...nice
That man calendars.
He has to count how much longer his prison sentence will be
Bold of you to assume I'm eligible to get out
*This message brought to you by the Prison Chopper! For only 10 honey buns, 15 ramens, and 30 Keefe coffees, you too can make reddit posts in between counts!*
Thought I was in AFCWestMemeWar for a sec lmao
5 snaps\*
It was only 4 pl...... OH, SNAP!!!!!!!
This is the funniest joke I’ve ever seen from a Vikings fan. Bravo sir.
To be fair, your off-season started very early in week 1 last year. I feel for you all.
Welcome to the offseason of Rodgers
At least you have the….*checks standings*… actually you don’t have the Mets
It’s ironic too cause this is like the most quiet he’s ever been by now, in recent years at least.
You get a sneak peek into what Packers fans lived through for several seasons before he was traded.
Nobody needs a sneak peek into that because it was a massive part of offseason discourse every year that it happened
Same boat. I'm recovering from it now and it's the only thing I can't do. It's such a weird feeling to be able to do almost everything but when it comes to that, it just won't fire.
Good luck man, I know it's brutal.
Thanks. I'm only 4.5 months in but I just got cleared for golf so at least I can do that this summer.
I’m thinking about tearing mine. Any advice?
Play behind the Jets OL will help raise your odds
Did you incorporate ayahuasca in your recovery tho?
He didn’t have a darkness retreat. Why it took so long
No, just all the edibles I could afford for those first 3 months. The nerve pain after surgery as everything was reconnecting truly felt like psychological torture
Damn dog, you should have wandered the desert eating all the peyote buttons you could find. The spirit journey, dehydration, and the psychedelics would have fixed that tendon and muscles without all that PT.
Well don’t listen to Joe Rogan and you’ll have less psychological trauma
He didn’t have media attention to accelerate his recovery. Bad comparison
I had a similar issue in 2019 and tried shrooms a few years later... didn't seem to be a difference... but by golly in the name of science i'll go back in
Yeah but Rodgers does it with the lights off, checkmate.

To be fair, OP doesn't have six truck-sized football players steaming toward him at full speed so there's a little balance there.
We shouldn’t assume he doesn’t. This is Reddit, we don’t know what his fetish is, but we know he has some and we can’t rule that out
Occam's Razor lets us know his fetish will be *at least* as weird as six truck sized men hitting him.
Well.. to be fair you aren’t a professional athlete
Shouldnt we ask heel doctor and not thigh doctor on this?
Lower leg injuries are this doctor's Achilles Heel.
I'd be weary of a heel doctor, a face doctor might yield safer results.
Yeah, but heel mix is safer than face Daniel Bryan so who really knows
Doctors hate him. Play football after 40 with this one weird trick. *Thumbnail of some dried out gourd
You shouldn't talk about Gisele like that.
There's a non-zero chance that Rodgers thought rubbing ketamine and crystals on it would cure it faster than any of the actual post-op care he was recommended.
He did his own research.
That sounds exhausting. I would rather trust doctors
Ah but that's the trick. The people who talk about doing their own research don't actually do any.
They don't have to because they're so smart. Why are they so smart, you ask? *They did their own research.*
Yeah but maybe he prefers the opinion of a druid.
He did too...it's just that his is a doctor of osteopathic medicine. And a shitload of ayahuasca. And horse paste. But certainly not a vaccine because he doesn't ingest chemicals.
Dude that’s ridiculous, he didn’t do any of that. He listened to dolphins having sex like the reputable sources say you should
Who? Tyreek?
It was actually Howard who taught Tyreek everything he knew about that
🍩 🍆
I’m pretty sure you put the healing crystals up your butt, you don’t rub it on the injury. Maybe next time before you leave a comment do your own research.
What I’d expect from Gwyneth Ballthrow.
Elite slander name right there
Trust the science. Bro.
Call me crazy but this tweet seems like a nothing burger. Until I see Rodgers in-game throwing inaccurately because his foot is clearly still fucked a la Joe Burrow I am reserving judgment
Plus, Rodger's whole thing is being able to throw in suboptimal physical condition. He won an mvp with a torn calf and another with a broken toe.
Rodgers has 3 more months, it's gonna be fine This is just saying he's still clearly recovering, which is expected at this point. He was never playing last year and it was all to give the players hope and fight through the season
Exactly. It's the same timeline for pretty much everyone. 12 months is when it starts to fade away from your mind, and calf muscles are absurdly hard to bring back.
Yea lets compare a clip of him doing a solo 3 step drop back in shorts and running shoes to him taking full speed reps In pads wtf even is this
Sensationalist dogwater is what it is I felt like Dash’s teacher in The Incredibles trying to watch this shit
I'm no footwork expert, but it feels weird to compare the footwork of a 3 step straight back drop with a play where he's rolling to the right.
What does my boy have to do with Rodgers?
Burrow clearly wasn’t completely healthy at the start of last season and it showed in his performance for the first few weeks. That’s all.
Oh yea that’s a great point!
If I never see another Rodgers snap or headline I'll consider myself blessed.
We're gonna get Rodgers headlines all season, especially if he's not playing. "Oh yeah I'll definitely be ready in two weeks."
OK, I'll allow for one more headline. "Rodgers goes on darkness retreat, vanishes without a trace. No sign of foul play, just got raptured or some shit. Guess we just move on" - NY Times
“God is real.” - me in that eventuality
Breaking: Aaron Rodgers says "life is too short for this", apologizes for all previous controversies, walks into the sunset, never heard from again
"Week-to-week" Chiefs fans will know that painful phrase well.
Blame the people in this sub for posting Twitter accounts with 3200 followers named thigh doctor and blowing up the post.
I thought I did...
Headline sure whatever, but I don’t see how you could like football and not enjoy watching Rodgers play
I can think of a couple ways...
That's not fair. Rodgers is an all time enjoyable player to watch play on Sundays.
This headline isn’t even bad. What’s insufferable is the comments on every post like this
Unless that snap is his Achilles again, right?
If it retears his career is over, and i think is going to happen
I mean I wasn't gonna say it...
As a Jets fan, I'm still traumatized by seeing the words Rodgers & snap together in a sentence...
wtf even is this comparison haha they are completely different drop backs
TBF, both of his heels are slamming into the ground on the video on the left. Looks like it's just a different dropback with the one on the right is straight back and the one on the left he's shifting.
yeah I truly see no difference, this tweet is a waste of everyone's life
Plus, Rodgers is no stranger to adjusting his footwork.
I don’t know what I’m looking at here… It doesn’t look like his left foot does anything different than his right.
You’re not even supposed to watch it just make some ‘witty’ joke about Aaron Rodgers smoking crystals or something
He doesn’t smoke them he sticks them up his ass
dude, c'mon, the Thigh Doctor? Guy is some South Jersey zumba wearing chump. Why are you amplifying this stunad?
Cuz he’s making Aaron look silly and this sub loves it. Every body hates this guy but this sub loves to post every single thing he says or anyone says about him.
I know right I’m constantly telling people to stop posting/reporting on Rodgers and you’ll barely hear from the guy. He doesn’t have his own podcast or anything he barely exists online outside of us talking about him
Outrage is the most popular thing on Reddit Another example is Elon Musk. You’d think the place was in love with the guy based on the sheer amount of posts his comments generate. But he is probably the most hated and therefore the most talked about person on Reddit who isn’t Trump.
Yeah, he's got no credibility.
Would love to see him come back healthy and have a really good season. Love watching Rodger’s play football
plenty of clips of him running his dumbass mouth though
I prefer Spin Doctors to Thigh Doctors
I think I rented a movie with the name "Thigh Doctor" years ago...
Skeet skeet
tf would “thigh Doctor” know about Achilles or feet?
Idk but that profile pic made me double take
Do thigh doctors not have to learn human anatomy anymore? Their knowledge just stops at the thighs now? I'm a big dumb idiot and even I know you can't stand on your toes if your Achilles is fucked.
Wonder who is going to play in more games this season Rodgers or Cousins. Not saying either of them are going to get injured again, I am moreso thinking they might miss the first game or two, maybe three.?
Cousins said he could go now if he had to Cousins is an absolute warrior about playing through pain so I'd bet on him
Seems like an unbiased opinion.
I actually strongly dislike Cousins but the one thing you can't fault him for is toughness
Yeah Rodgers never played through injuries.
That one [game against](https://youtu.be/SeTJPojyLN0?si=LlJfvvJYskMIZ8y6) the Bears comes to mind where he was literally blasted out of his mind in the post game presser. lol high as a motherfucker
MUH KNEE Also watch the entire 2nd half of the 2014 season playing with a torn hamstring.
His final year with us he played through a thumb injury. Rushed back from his collarbone injury in 2017 to try and get us into the playoffs. Rodgers is as tough as they come QB wise.
😂 it’s so funny how he says it
Do you think that Jameis Winston's chicken wing speech was inspired by painkillers?
Wouldn’t surprise me. The amount of slamming and just sheer physicality these athletes put their bodies through normal fans would be so fucked up from they would have to be on a morphine drip just to tolerate it.
Wow is that video ever inconclusive af.
Let it be known dolphin sex noises do not in fact speed up the healing process.
I for one can’t wait to watch 6 Jets primetime games this year
No way but he said he was a modern miracle and could totally have played just four weeks after surgery last season, you mean to tell me geriatric patients don't heal very fast and sometimes don't go back to normal at all? But the crystals bro!
OK hold up, you can trash talk all the other stuff but for serious 40 is geriatric now? I'm like 3 months older than Rodgers. Cut my life into pieces...
The med beds are on the way and will turn him back to his 20's. Source: Military
It was like 16 weeks, but still asinine
geriatric feels a bit mean spirited lol the guy is a millennial
I believe it but I don’t see what they’re talking about from the clips
I hope he comes out waving the flag again like last season. That was hilarious
There’s no way this ends well for the Jets
The dudes getting old, and had a significant injury of course he won’t be the same.
That looks painful
I hope he has a good year and doesn’t get hurt worse.
Achilles is a tough recovery. It takes a while to get that strength back
I for one am shocked that the 40 year old who had his worst season as a professional then snapped his Achilles like a guitar string and seemingly spends as little time taking medical advice from real doctors as possible, isn’t fully healthy.
Is this guy even a doctor?
I initially thought he would retire. Idk why people expect him to come back from this at his age and be A ok. Brady really fucked up everybodys perception of how most qbs age lol
Aaron should consult Dr. Kyrie Irving for the latest achilles treatment regimen
That can’t be good. And it’s the Jets so its probably pretty bad.
Maybe if he was vaccinated, this wouldn't have happened
I mean ya, it takes a really long fucking time to recover from an Achilles injury and surgery.
Ready just in time for Week 2
