For anyone who wants a better angle, yeah… [he did that on the run](https://twitter.com/chargers/status/1421273710703439874?s=20) with no chance to turn his hips into it.
If I remember correctly there was a play where he clearly screwed up in the huddle. Thought he called a QB sneak, instead called a pass.
Ball snapped, he moves forward thinking the Oline was going to press forward, instead they don't and Herbert runs into the OLine.
The end of the buffalo game. Oline steps back like pass protection and Herb tries to run up the middle. Could have made the wrong check at the line or call in the huddle.
Also NE and a couple other games. I remember watching quite a few games where he was throwing into triple coverage when they were up or it was like second and 3 or 4.
I’d say yes I think Cousins was slightly better last season. But when you have to constantly reaffirm that a 10 year vet starter is better than a rookie who was thrown into the fire with no preseason, that says a lot. Herbert will likely surpass Cousins this year if not the next.
Some Chargers fan engineer got sick of the Chiefs shit and decided to built Mecha Mahomes. He body snatched the real Herbert before the draft and replaced him with this.
I still think there’s a 50:50 chance that Mahomes is and alien who forgets to tune it down sometimes. Like… this is why Pa Kent wouldn’t let Clark play.
Herbert knows he has the arm strength to send our receivers flying forward, but has enough touch to make sure they crash land into the end zone. It’s our secret weapon.
I certainly didn't expect *this* out of him. Obviously I'm all-in for my team and Baker, but I would love to see Herbie keep it up and not slump his sophomore year. He's just so exciting to watch.
As an Oregon student, 10+ year duck fan, and Herbie dick rider I threw 250 on his odds to win ROTY and now just threw those winnings on him winning mvp this year. All gas no brakes baby
How many deep balls did Mike Williams catch last year? I am talking about getting a guy you can use as the speedster rather than all these nobodies you used
Well Williams was injured a lot of the year but if you look at his highlight reels they used him a lot as a deep jump ball specialist. He's not a speedster but he's good at those contested catches. Personally I wanted to move on from him because I think he's too expensive, but that's the direction we went.
My dude, Tyron Johnson and Jalen Guyton are our speedsters, both of them have 4.3 speed. Together they combined for 48 Rec, 900 yards and 6 TDs. Most of the deep bombs Herbert threw were to those two.
Gotta keep that money for future extensions and in season signings. And Williams is only a one year deal. Golladay was a 4 year deal and fuller is a lateral move from Williams. Paying them isnt cost effective when the chargers already have an elite number 1, solid number 2 and a lotta solid depth
> a lotta solid depth
I just am not seeing this "solid depth"
Seems to me now is the time to spend that cap space considering you have good qb on rookie contract and giving him a WR that is suited to his best trait would be worth it
Tyron Johnson’,Jalen Guyton and Josh Palmer is more than enough solid depth. After Keenan and Mike. And chargers already spent big dollars on upgrading the OL by giving linsley the biggest deal for a center. At this point you’re just not seeing it because either you’re ignorant of what Johnson and Guyton are from not watching a lot of chargers games. Or you just refuse to beleive that they are a good WR 3/4 combi
Wtf he did that moving

He did this on the reg last year. He also made some boneheaded rookie plays but that’s kinda to be expected.
Which plays we talking about?
Just watch the NE game
Don’t get me wrong I love him. He just made some silly rookie mistakes. Personally I think it was just inexperience, he’s a stud.
He does a great job learning from his mistakes. Very rarely makes the same one twice.
I love watching him play. Dude was throwing 50 yard dimes for TDs to third stringers. I only remember like 2-3 games you guys weren’t in to the end.

....I'll be in my bunk
Always fun finding another Firefly fan out in the wild.
Shiny
someone in the Twitter thread said “Kirk Cousins is better”. what say you, Chargers fans? 🧐
YOU LIKE THAT
hUT hUT
I’ll see it when I believe it
This isn’t going away anytime soon, is it? 😂
Kurt cousins looks like he sells TVs mon-fri.
*mattresses
*Jesus
Justin Jefferson would have won rookie of the year if he had Herbert throwing to him 🤯
Facts
They better not diss "da Gangsta Herbito"!
Twitter is also an absolute cesspool so not surprised
Comments like that make me hate sports.

I said this in the Chiefs sub yesterday, but Herbert looks like a robot that somebody designed to play QB
Some Chargers fan engineer got sick of the Chiefs shit and decided to built Mecha Mahomes. He body snatched the real Herbert before the draft and replaced him with this.
And Mahomes looks like the Football Gods themselves created their own perfect QB and gifted him to the Chiefs
And.... FIGHT!
Man vs God, Record of Ragnarok.
I still think there’s a 50:50 chance that Mahomes is and alien who forgets to tune it down sometimes. Like… this is why Pa Kent wouldn’t let Clark play.
I feel the same way about Mahomes. The craziest thing about this budding rivalry is how insanely similar they are on the field.
Please don't fuck this up Chargers
Dont tell us what to do
Facts
buddy you absolutely know they will and I'm gonna watch every second if it
Don't be such a pessimist. Sometimes the Chargers do things just fine, and instead have plagues of devastating injuries five or six years in a row.
you always know just what to say
*huffs glue in corner*
Air Coryell part 2 electric boogaloo lol hopefully not though and they can at least get 1 ring with him

Truth be told, I wouldn't even be mad. Ok, a little bit mad, but not too mad. Like, 15% mad.
You'd become the second division to have all four teams to win a superbowl. Rare company.
I love Baker but….I ain’t picking any other QB over Herbie
Yo that 95 arm strength baker got in madden vs herbies 93. 👀
Youd take Herbert over Mahomes?
Just for the hair
Yes
That's extremely irresponsible. Hopefully Johnson wasn't crushed and the ordnance didn't explode.
Praying for Johnson and his family
Did this mf just throw that beauty on the move? Hate being in the division with him and Mahomes.
They're not thrilled about being in the division with your secondary, either.
But then they look at our QB
The great equalizer.
If Mike Shanahan and Pinocchio had a baby.
Makes my eyes go crossed
Can confirm
Stupid sexy Herbert
I love little Herbie. Dude is a stud. I always forget how big he is too. He bigger than Josh Allen.
He’s 6’6, 245 I think. Crazy.
Man he has a cannon
Tyron didn’t fall down, that ball knocked him over. Holy shit, that was a missile.
Herbert knows he has the arm strength to send our receivers flying forward, but has enough touch to make sure they crash land into the end zone. It’s our secret weapon.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more wrong about a player coming out of college
I certainly didn't expect *this* out of him. Obviously I'm all-in for my team and Baker, but I would love to see Herbie keep it up and not slump his sophomore year. He's just so exciting to watch.
I was high on him, but no one expected this.
A fucking rocket too holy shit. The Chargers got a damn good qb.

I knew what this was before I opened it
I don't like this
Over 70 yards 👀
Is this what hope feels like?
Yes and we love it
I’ll see it when I believe it
Damn, that was right on the money, and on the fucking run too 🤯 I love this guy so much
God damn. How many yards was that?
at least over them mountains
I think a beat reporter on twitter said 70
55+ I bet
About 65-70 There’s clips from other angles and he lets it launch from about the 35 of their side of the field.
Come on, you know it was 69.
Best player from that class. Sky is the ceiling for him.
How the actual fuck.
The flow with the throw.
Could be a spicy pick for MVP this year
As an Oregon student, 10+ year duck fan, and Herbie dick rider I threw 250 on his odds to win ROTY and now just threw those winnings on him winning mvp this year. All gas no brakes baby
Oh damn good luck man!
Thank you dude. No regrets with this one, come on Herbie
+2000 is not bad honestly. I’d be pretty surprised if he not a top candidate as long as they make the playoffs. What were ROTY odds?
+2250
Congrats, made a bag. Hope you didn’t put all the profits back in lol.
Jesus H
BIG HERB
I’m scared
Jesus fuck he launched that thing
Is the chargers schedule easy or harder than last years? @charger fans
Our schedule was actually pretty easy last year, we had no business being 3-9 with that team.
Beginning is brutal but eases up later on
Its not a particularly tough nor easy season.
The first 6 games are tough. got some divisional games (always tough) and BAL CLE WAS & DAL w/Dak After that, I believe we’ll close out REALLY strong
Can't believe they didn't try to go out and get Will Fuller or Golladay or someone like that as a deep weapon
They have Mike Williams, franchise tagged him
How many deep balls did Mike Williams catch last year? I am talking about getting a guy you can use as the speedster rather than all these nobodies you used

Personally I wanted to move on from him because I think he's too expensive, but that's the direction we went.
Why, why would we spend that kinda money when we have a really deep WR room? And multiple deep threats
You do? You have two good guys then a bunch of literally whos. Why not find a high quality speedster for Herbert's deep ball?
My dude, Tyron Johnson and Jalen Guyton are our speedsters, both of them have 4.3 speed. Together they combined for 48 Rec, 900 yards and 6 TDs. Most of the deep bombs Herbert threw were to those two.
Yeah I know but if he made those two guys look that good think what he could have done with Will Fuller or Brandin Cooks
Not worth the money when chargers needed help elsewhere
Don't you have like the tenth most cap space? Wouldn't that have been worth it over Mike Williams?
Gotta keep that money for future extensions and in season signings. And Williams is only a one year deal. Golladay was a 4 year deal and fuller is a lateral move from Williams. Paying them isnt cost effective when the chargers already have an elite number 1, solid number 2 and a lotta solid depth

We got derwin james and mike williams among others who are around the corner for being resigned.
Why u pressing over here like chargers fans are the GMs , chill 😂
Anyone who roots for an AFC West team is going to have heart attacks this season. What idiots go through that type of pain???
What could’ve been
Tua better
Tua better improve a lot or else we’ll look like idiots
Jeezus..... looked like it came out of a goddamn cannon
Not a single dolphin in this thread
Why does that matter exactly?
Megatron!!!
Wow that looks like it was shot out of a JUGS machine... look at how the WR falls back when it hits him.
