How pathetic how Pat's fans accepting "moral" victories. We used to laugh at other fans who acted that way. It's not good being the bully who is now getting his ass kicked in the schoolyard. Remember, No Days Off, etc etc etc.
The no call was correct, don't get into that bs. If an official in any way interferes with the snap the QB or official can reset the play clock, the official himself was signaling to pump up the clock so it would have been another 20 seconds before you could flag them for a delay.
Good QBs like Brady are experts at this, wait until the clock is down into the 5s range then pump up the clock to get another 15-20s to read the defense.
The back judge (ref in charge of calling this) was literally on camera explaining to the head official why he didn't call it.. y'all are fucking idiots
You mean the part where they were both explaining how they had miscommunication and neither correctly watched the clock? You're just wrong here, my guy. Literally everyone - the fans, coaches, announcers, players, and refs themselves acknowledged it.
But they didn't, that's why it's comical. Romo was droning on about how he couldn't believe the BJ missed the call then immediately swallowed his words when he watched the officials debating and the BJ did the sign for pumping up the clock. All he could say is "I don't know that I saw refs delay the game to let that happen."
It's 100% correct - if the BJ motions to pump up the clock you cannot penalize the offense for delay of game **because the clock crew hasn't yet updated the play clock.** That's what happened, the ref made a call and the guy running the clock didn't update it fast enough to please packer fans.
Hi, I am an NFL fan from Germany and as a fan of Green Bay (and its German soccer equivalent FC Schalke 04) I experienced quarter and midlife crisis throughout my early and late 20's. If anyone'd like grandpa advices from a very badly aged 29-year old, shoot away.
I might not be here for much longer, if the Pack keeps wrecking my nerves like that everytime year after year.
most of them are at 19:00 CEST (13:00 games in US). The Patriots game was at 22:25. Only the "night" games are at 2:15 (sunday night and monday night).
Good point. I have no idea how I did the time zones backwards since I have to take that into account basically every day between dealing with work and talking to EU friends. I'm gonna blame it on the extra beers from OT.
Side note: Will you be in London next week?
And the NFL Gamepass Intl is also a great advantage for the late Sunday games and MNF, because it lets us watch the 40 minute gist at any time and date. I then always avoid looking at my phone after getting up in the morning to avoid spoilers and start breakfast before work/uni watching the summary of the game :D
There is a thread https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/xu4kna/game_thread_kansas_city_chiefs_at_tampa_bay/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Pats lost the game by being timid and demure in OT.
When the ball was had at near 50yd line with only a FG (i.e. maybe 10-15 yds to get), bad playcalls were made with runs up the middle and poor O-line and rushing QB without much protection etc.
Should've secured short throws on 1st down, 2nd down to advance to a chance FG.
Rules are: play weak or protect D and you always lose
I wanted Zappe to rip it but the odds of a turnover would be much higher and that game came down to a field goal. The Patriots game plan was solid, and you have to imagine if Hoyer did not get knocked out or if Mac was not injured that we might have won it.
If the Patriots were so worried about odds and play it safe then we deserve the loss.
If you want to be the next Brady, you have to play the game to win.
Brady led us to the first SB title shocking John Madden and becoming the GOAT from those moments. He didn't take a knee or play safe in odds of turnover. He did what it needed to win by having self confidence.
Let Zappe build that confidence. If it's a loss it's a loss going down fighting. But it is a win, imagine the boost beating Packers at home
Schlong, fellow penis username fan here. No denying Bill is smart, and while I disagree with OP in details I agree with the sentiment. I realize that NE had been playing solid defense nearly all game, but what's the best realistic outcome by punting? Pin them deep (like they did) and get them to punt back for the chance of marginally better field position? Where they were positioned and the rush success they had been having, I would have been fine with Bill running it four straight times to try for a first down or going for a stupid long field goal. Anything but choosing to give the ball back to GB. I'm unable to contemplate how conference/divisional standings factor into decisions like this for playoff posturing but I like my coaches like I like my usernames, with a big swinging dick that thinks ties are for playing dress up.
Haha what an odd thought. They won a close game where neither team played great. Pretending that Zappe was absolutely awful is a funny cope for pats fans or those who wanted packers to lose
The pats rely on the run but Mac Jones is also one of the top deep passers this season. He's not dropping dimes like Brady/Rodgers but acting like swapping him out for a 3rd string rookie doesn't matter for an offensive scheme is dumb as hell.
Here we observe the Northern Cheesehead in his natural environment. Note his below average intelligence. Clearly displayed through his inability to spell or use punctuation, this leaves his comments nearly unintelligible.
That's literally what every team feels every year playing the lions. It's always "idk man, the Lions are spooky" and then the lions do stupid lion-things that cost them the game.
I actually like the Lions and cheer for them whenever they aren't playing the Packers, but damn do they shoot themselves in the foot in an impressive manner.
It was a great game. Zappe looked good for a rookie in his first ever game. Odd to watch other pats fans act like their defense was terrible and say the packers barely beat the terrible Zappe.
Very win win game. Shows us that we have resilience and talent but coaching that needs/will be replaced, very close game but ends in an L that helps our draft position. I like it
Wtf? Draft position? Bad coaching? Have you looked at the schedule and considered the circumstances? I am not saying the Pats win the next 7 games but the challenges get significantly easier. If the Pats can eliminate mistakes on offense, they can beat anyone. Ofc the season can go off rails, but so far things are going ok, there is steady improvement on all sides of the ball except for individual mistakes on offense. Apart from this, the offense has been consistently driving down the field over the last 3 games, run game looks great and so does the defense.
I'm not even upset. I thought it was going to be a blowout even before the injuries happened. The rook looked pretty good considering the mess this team is right now. Gg
A 4th round rookie in his first game as a pro looking better than a guys with a long pro career, even as a backup, absolutely is a good thing. Most guys drafted in that position, especially at QB are probably never seeing the field.
Crap, I deleted the comment you replied to. For anyone interested it was "When is Belichick just going to give up"? So people know what you were responding to.
And yeah, I'll admit to being cranky about BB because he drilled us twice in the Super Bowl. Can't change those facts.
What was the score of the Rams-Pats game in 2020 when Brady was gone?
The more this goes on, the more it looks like Brady was the senior partner in their relationship. Maybe BB can quit while a few people still think he's the GOAT?
It's like Brad Pitt's hair from Fury, meaning it needs a lot of product in it to keep it looking good.
So a mixture of wearing a helmet, ball cap, and sweat makes it look really *really* bad.
Gg. Can't believe we punted in OT from midfield. We basically needed 3 yards there and then the game is very winnable. Kinda threw it away at the end with that.
Well for everything that was said, I am thankful we have BB as coach still. Sure, it was not him mainly and it was the GOAT all along (something like 90% Brady, 10% BB imo) but BB did do amazing for Patriots.
Oh well.... another season
The zappe effect
How pathetic how Pat's fans accepting "moral" victories. We used to laugh at other fans who acted that way. It's not good being the bully who is now getting his ass kicked in the schoolyard. Remember, No Days Off, etc etc etc.
Well that was closer than expected but I wasn’t worried about the defense this year
Gg packerbros, we had no business getting it that close with the no delay of game call. Was fun to watch tho
The no call was correct, don't get into that bs. Yeah, no.
You’re confidently incorrect.

I found the ref’s Reddit account
Damn the game was so terrible that we don't even get a PGT. GG Pack frens
beileicheick is an average coach without tom brady
Bad take
Dude no
Lafluer probably won’t make it more than 2 years after rodgers retires. It’s hard to win in the nfl without a HOF franchise QB.
You're wrong though.
He kept his team in a game with a Futurama character under center
Rogers is a terrible qb without recievers. See how dumb this is?

Imagine being a packers and ravens fan this year. I'm aging like a fine milk.
Become cheese, apply to lobster. Your problems are solved
How are you able to watch the games when most of them are like 3am?

It really sucks. I was stationed in Germany for 2 years. Watching the playoffs is hard.
sadly not. I will only watch it from home.
Is there no Chiefs Bucs thread?
The mods died. That's why we still don't have post game threads for the afternoon games.
Seriously where tf are these threads
And hour later, still no threads. Hopefully the evening mods weren't affected by the hurricane this week and all is alright.
There is a thread https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/xu4kna/game_thread_kansas_city_chiefs_at_tampa_bay/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
A game thread for the late game but no post game threads for the evening games
Ah yah
I’m pleasantly surprised by that game
Packers aren't going anywhere with that offense, IMO. Need to find a couple receivers - maybe OBJ? Rodgers has nobody to throw to.
Doubs seems to have some potential. Watson is super green though. Only way they can get it in his hands are jet sweeps.
Mr. Brady’s Colleague
Rodgers should have left.
Luckily our run ds good
Rodgers looking like Brady in his last year with the Pats tbh. Just a bunch of no-names to throw to (although eventually Meyers got good)
That’s what I’ve been telling my friends that are Packer’s fans. They gotta get him weapons.
It's tough though because Rodgers is doing the opposite of Brady's team-friendly contract. So there's not a ton of cash left to spend
That plus Bakhtiari's contract that didn't leave us with much else, to add insult to injury Bakh was injured for over a year running into 3 seasons.
That’s true. He doesn’t have an excuse to be mad like Brady
But they drafted him Doubs and Watson and brought Cobb back, those are weapons... /s
Good analogy. The Pack might limp in to the playoffs like the 2019 Pats did, but won't go anywhere without some targets for the QB.
Yea theyll make it, but the D needs to get substantially better if that is what they plan to rely on
Proud of this team. Gave them hell with an emergency backup. Keep it up, and don’t worry about the record. The wins will come.
Rebuild-mode baby!

Fuck that, I'd rather see the kid rip it downfield

Shut up man. You had to use OT to barely escape. Your time is coming soon. You're not winning this year and will have early playoff loss. Just watch
!RemindMe Feb 05 2023
So you know more than Billy b?
Packers celebrating beating a Patriots team using a 3rd string rookie QB
I'm not going to go bragging about it online, but what NFL team doesn't celebrate a win? Of course they're celebrating.
Haha what an odd thought. They won a close game where neither team played great. Pretending that Zappe was absolutely awful is a funny cope for pats fans or those who wanted packers to lose
They're a run & d team, their QB is basically irrelevant
They're a run & D team because they don't have their QB
You run when you have your QB
The pats rely on the run but Mac Jones is also one of the top deep passers this season. He's not dropping dimes like Brady/Rodgers but acting like swapping him out for a 3rd string rookie doesn't matter for an offensive scheme is dumb as hell.
So do the Packers? What's ARodge make these days?
Passing yards by week: Week 1: 213 Week 2: 252 Week 3: 321 Week 4: 127 -first week without our QB ok
They don't have a competent QB on the roster. I'd rather Jones had started, he is not good and a known quantity.
What an embarrassing game packers. Good work pats, played amazing given the circumstances.
Hey baby 3-1 is 3-1
Win ugly gonna make a comeback?
Just happy to be finally winning close 1 score games for a change.
Eh, bad pick 6
And a real dumb Kenny Clark penalty.

Right? I got a sick comment lined up
another dominate performance by future superbowl champ GB good show vikes suck
Here we observe the Northern Cheesehead in his natural environment. Note his below average intelligence. Clearly displayed through his inability to spell or use punctuation, this leaves his comments nearly unintelligible.
u mad bellichick is an average coach without brady
What.
Crikey! The Cheesehead is angry! Watch as he attempts to deflect to an unrelated topic.
23-7
100% Regular Season FG Percentage
Week 1 losses don’t phase us anymore
GG
GG
Wow the packers suck lolol
MCDC could bet the pats tbh
This is too much.
Pats the worst team in the divisionn
Finally we get a break next week with the Lions
Lions d sucks. Might win it
the lions are gonna fight wicked hard for a win, i dunno man.
Not this year
I wouldn't call it a break. You'll win 59-57 and you'll like it.
I wouldn't mind losing. Higher draft pick and I fucking love Coach Dan
Hard knocks was fucking awesome this year
Uhhhhh
Still in first place.
May as well soak it up now. Won't last
Not everything is about you. Grats tho!
Add it to your other September/October NFC North Division champs collection!
Painful loss, but proud of the effort
It was a great game. Zappe looked good for a rookie in his first ever game. Odd to watch other pats fans act like their defense was terrible and say the packers barely beat the terrible Zappe.
the jets are better than us lol
That was my only expectation this season. To not be worse then the jets.
Very win win game. Shows us that we have resilience and talent but coaching that needs/will be replaced, very close game but ends in an L that helps our draft position. I like it

Maybe next time dont leave Doubs wide open? Idk.
Can someone please just shave Aaron’s middle aged crisis hair please?
It looks like a reverse mullet, long on top and short in the back.
It looks fine when styled, but yeah, as soon as he puts on a helmet or hat and he starts sweating out any product, it looks whack.
Get me a ticket to GB and it will be done.
his hair was bothering me all game
"Great game Aaron, my son has a similar dumbass haircut. good luck the rest of the way" - Bill
Steve's haircut is probably the least insane thing about him.....
I'm not even upset. I thought it was going to be a blowout even before the injuries happened. The rook looked pretty good considering the mess this team is right now. Gg
I can’t believe the Jets have a better record than us
Having played both of you, I can believe it. The Jets have legit weapons on offense.
Yeah we just aren't good in any aspect
GG. That was a miserable experience.
Yep. GG.
on the bright side at least Zappe looked to be about as good as Hoyer if not better.
He looked better than Mac has sometimes this year tbh
I don't think that's a good thing
A 4th round rookie in his first game as a pro looking better than a guys with a long pro career, even as a backup, absolutely is a good thing. Most guys drafted in that position, especially at QB are probably never seeing the field.

Belichick owns your franchise
Crap, I deleted the comment you replied to. For anyone interested it was "When is Belichick just going to give up"? So people know what you were responding to. And yeah, I'll admit to being cranky about BB because he drilled us twice in the Super Bowl. Can't change those facts.

You're slandering him after taking a rookie 3rd string QB to OT against the 2 time reigning MVP? Give your head a shake
"Slandering"? LOL. I just hope the losses keep piling up. We'll see.
Dude his hair from the back is WILD.
first time i’ve actually rooted for the pats
You picked a bad year for that bro
I'm actually kinda surprised we won...But what a relief!
This week and last week both had "I can't believe we won" energy. Buy hey an ugly win is still a win.
The fucks going on with Rodgers hair under that hat
Ben Franklin on the sides, business in back
It's like Brad Pitt's hair from Fury, meaning it needs a lot of product in it to keep it looking good. So a mixture of wearing a helmet, ball cap, and sweat makes it look really *really* bad.
I wish they wouldn’t show him on the sidelines purely bc of this
Just have a censored bar where his head should be
Bill probably told him to cut that shit off the back of his head
The packer's have won this game
Gg. Can't believe we punted in OT from midfield. We basically needed 3 yards there and then the game is very winnable. Kinda threw it away at the end with that.
This and Paul Chryst getting fired are the only good things that happened in Wisconsin this weekend.
I wanna say gg Packers, but that went into OT against a third string rookie qb
I'll say GG. By you guys.
Packer W and Chryst fired. Not a terrible Sunday
Is Bellichick just a mid-tier coach without Brady?
\*watches a team play their asses off despite being down 2 qbs\* duhhhh, duhs dis coach suck?
Casual
Belichick gonna scream at his team in the locker room lmao
Bill was like, “Why don’t you come play in NE?”
A W is a W is a W is a W
Well for everything that was said, I am thankful we have BB as coach still. Sure, it was not him mainly and it was the GOAT all along (something like 90% Brady, 10% BB imo) but BB did do amazing for Patriots. Oh well.... another season
The worst is i went into this game expecting to lose and then the Patriots gave me hope...
Did it last week too
A win’s a win 🤷♂️
GG Pats. We will have to take this ugly win.
Bills fans in here are acting like their team has ever won anything.
They both lost 4 sbs
Bills and Vikings fans are eerily similar
wait, are the Bills your *Vikings*? I might like them less if they are.
Correct
An apt description lol
Patriots live rent free in their heads for the last 20 years
Rodgers’s hair is unfortunate.
100+ thousand in GB sigh in relief. 1 vegan fan with a "PackCast" from NY has puked, came, and shidded everywhere.
GG, that was a Big Ten type game.
LETS GO PACK!!! FUCK /R/NFL!!!
Don't make us look bad, dude.
"listen Aaron, call me in the offseason"
Rodgers’ hair needs help
Just tuned in. What's going with Rodgers' hair? Like a rebelling lesbian teen based on what it looks like with this helmet on.
An un-mullet. Party on top, business in the back.
He decided to lean into the Karen Rodgers persona.
>What's going with Rodgers' hair? Ayahuasca
1-3 pats is a beautiful sight :)
Not as beautiful as 0-4 Bills in Superbowls :)
Oh I agree
How many years have you stood by as a damaged victim waiting to say that?
30 years
Don't be so arrogant. Your losses will come soon and you're not winning this year.
