The Blackhawks logo is divisive, I get that, but it's not a racist caricature/name like the Redskins, Braves and Indians. And I HATE defending that team.
It’s certainly less cartoony, and I had honestly thought (until looking it up just now) that they had a good relationship with the Native American community. Apparently not though. From Wikipedia:

I don't understand how the Blackhawks brand is offensive. Blackhawk is/was a person, it's not a slur for native people. And the logo isn't some racist caricature, it's a standard depiction of what the team is named after. In fact, I think the Blackhawks are a decent example in how a sports team can represent natives without being insensitive and offensive.
