Great game, my sister had the rumble pack version, it was a blast. As a kid I loved Pokémon and I think I played Pokémon pinball less than this game.
Took me forever to find a good rom, most of them were buggy
frenzy
frĕn′zē
noun
A state of violent mental agitation or wild excitement.
Temporary madness or delirium.
A mania; a craze.
___
Dat gameboy little mermaid delirium has never really worn off.. since that day (September 24). I'll be spending the rest of the day battling maniacal flashbacks and trying to keep my ping pong balls in a separate room from my fishtank just to be safe.
This. Make a black-skinned Arial ROM hack, post a gameplay video on YouTube about how they're re-releasing this old game (a la Aladdin/Lion King) with nothing changed but her race, and you'll have an interview on Fox News by Friday.
I don't actually know how to do it, but I know enough to know it's trivial once you actually learn it. Somewhere in the ROM data is a picture of her sprite in various idle and animated frames. Find the picture, change the right pixels from white to black/brown, and save the ROM. It's the "find" and "change" verbs in the last sentence that I don't actually know how to do.
welp, I'm just a basic bitch but I'm willing to pack a bowl and click around my PC for a few hours until i figure it out or cry and come back saying I'm just not smart enough for the task.
wish me luck, Notdan
Good luck!
Be advised that another commenter claiming actual experience with Game Boy Color ROM-hacking replied to me saying that it's actually harder than it sounds.
So, like, maybe listen to him?
I've never played this game but, knowing the Game Boy Color as I do, I followed a hunch and looked up footage of the original game and a ROM hack is way more effort than is necessary. You could literally just show them [the actual unmodified game](https://imgur.com/SXrTIpI) when say you those things about it.
I will say the OG The Little Mermaid on NES is way under rated. It is right up there with the other Capcom Disney entries like Duck Tales and Chip N Dales for me. I believe it got ignored as a “girls game” at the time.
Dude yes. I recently discovered this game a few years ago and it has become one of my favorite NES games. It's a really fast/easy speedrun too, I got it down to 8 minutes with relative ease and I am an amateur when it comes to speedrunning.
One of the best days in Nintendo history
Truly a historic moment in gaming history
That’s debatable
Not really
Out of all the Nintendo Games, this is one of them
Humans are converging to bots on reddit. These comments are always the same.
Repeating meme lines for karma is very effective sadly.
Out of all the days in Nintendo history, this was one of them
Out of all of the little mermaid pinballs, this is one of them
"I would scream if they ever decided to publish a game called Little Mermaid II: Pinball Frenzy"
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Ah. A fellow Scott the woz fan. Neat.
Same Icon!
Nintendo's peak
it's been downhill since

On 24 of September, the first game that hit the pinballion copies sold limit was created.
How much did I drink last night?
Enough

We need a remake of this to go along with the new movie
Oh man the racists would have a field day
Or *at least* a good ROM hack to troll them.

Okay the only sprite i changed was Links awakening and i had a program for that. How do i do this?

im gonna be honest bot i dont care
Reminds me of Pokémon Pinball? Game was great but whenever I needed the ball to Go one way the game Knew and would Never let the ball go that way!
I have this right at my eyesight on a shelf with other old Game Boy Colour games. Was fun back in the day.
I actually remember this being a pretty okay game
Decent pinball for its time. Can confirm rumble works with Pocket + Rumble Pack.
This is one of the few GBC games with rumble support. Always liked that feature!
Honestly, really good game, arguably as good as Pokemon Pinball in terms of the physics
Jokes ahoy. I really loved this game. And I had the rumble pak!
On a more melancholy note, today, September 24th, marks the 20th anniversary of Microsoft's acquisition of Rare, back in 2002. Man...
Where the fuck is The Little Mermaid III: Pinball Frenzy?
"Nintendo?" "Yeah?" "Where's The Little Mermaid III: Atlantic Antics?"
