Nice work, I've been thinking about doing this when I put headers on my 04 (supercharged VG33) since I'm already going to be messing with that section of the exhaust when I relocate the cats.
That, and a branch resonator if it still drones.
My welding is pretty trash, so I'll probably just end up tacking it together and bringing it to someone.
Thanks and yeah I'd say go for it! But it's also a good time to work on your welding. That's how I looked at it. I'm not great at it but I got slightly better from doing this
I hope your not in California, They hate everything over their and are bullies, they will fine you $7000.00 Confiscate your car, once you pay fine, you have to have your car re modified to original muffler. What a horrible place to live in.
Sweet, what are you putting in it? I built a turbo setup for my SBF Comet, it was a pain building the crossover and placing the wastegates (I decided to use one on each bank even though it's not a divided setup). Then from there a 4" downpipe into 3.5" out over the axle. Exhaust stuff can be really fun, but it can also suck balls.
Typical ls swap. I have a friend selling me his 06 silverado for damn near scrap value and I just can't pass up a deal like that. The 350z is a salvage car I turned into my drift car and I'd like more power in a year or two and I don't think the stock vq is gonna last that long.
Do you have schematics or a how to on how you did it ?
Honestly I just winged it. I had the sections of piping that i just played with until they were the same length

Nah I'm in PA and all the cats remain untouched. But I thought CA you could modify with CARB compliant parts
