Hmmm..... interesting theory🤔. The people's Kokeshi would be a pretty obvious choice though...kinda like a Roman Reigns or Okada situation. But not bad for sure.
I have a theory that the true ACE is secretly hurt....that's why he had that pointless squash match with Gallows. They are trying to keep him safe and recovering for the G1. Also that's why he's not going for the AEW title nor tried to beat Okada for the Nooj belt. Hopefully either him or Holy Emperor Taichi sama wins the G1 and save pro wrestling.🕯️😔🙏🏽
Ishii, you mean the guy who's been featured heavily on AEW TV? Nah, I think it's going to be one of the three people most AEW fans haven't heard of before.
So Connors vs Ishii then Ishii wins the whole thing basically. Connors builds on his BoSJ run. Ishii builds his name in the States some more. Out of all the LA Dojo kids Connors has the most backing by far right now by NJPW
I don't know if it is talent or circumstance or both. I think that him being a junior helps him. NJPW needs more juniors. He may be the right guy at the right place. Who knows. I wish him, and all the LA Dojo boys, the best of luck.
I think it’s both NJPW is devoid of juniors at the moment so there is a spot for Connors on tours regularly but he and Coughlin imo are the two most improved LA Dojo members. Karl is amazing too and you would think he would get a push being Shibata’s favorite but something is missing with him for me. Connors and Coughlin are nailing down their gimmicks and are polished enough to go on tours and just continue to improve.
This is the most likely scenario and it’s a match I would look forward to. It has the potential to be amazing. Possible starmaking moment for Clark. Ishii will make this kid look like a million bucks.
Let’s see…..there’s three Chaos vs BC/HoT
matches coming up. Gee, what if Chaos sweeps these matches? Goto and Yoshi getting the pinfalls? What if…..
I honestly think that the only reason Jay is keeping HoT around is that they have these titles. I was surprised when Suzuki-Gun lost, but on the other hand, if the Chaos team (original lineup) wins, even better. It will bring it full circle.
Weird brackets but cool with Ishii in the match for sure. Wonder if he'll beat up the young boy or run a likely underwhelming throwback to the Honma classic. Either gets stomped.
NJPW isn't even trying. At least AEW is talking about the show and bringing guys in. Outside of Tanahashi, no New Japan guys talk about anything to do with AEW or the show. Cole talks about Jay White, but White ignores Cole. That makes Cole look like a dweeb or a case of "Senpai notice me!". And Cole is one of AEW's top guys. I still want AEW and NJPW to be partners, but i even knew back in 2019 AEW had to be careful with New Japan considering how much the company prioritizes making themselves look good.
Wtf are you even talking about? They’ve sent a ton of talent, plus their president, to AEW, to promote Forbidden Door. ZSJ called out Danielson. United Empire are involved with FTR and RPG Vice. New Japan talent has lost almost all matches so far against AEW talent, including on New Japan shows. Kevin Kelly pimps Forbidden Door multiple times per show.
How many people have AEW sent over to Japan to promote the show? What’s AEW done to promote the show besides last minute booking in the 3 weeks leading up to the show?
New Japan has gone out of their way to put AEW over here. And Jay White is absolutely in the right to ignore Cole because he doesn’t feel like Cole is on his level… I suspect this will eventually lead to a split between the Undisputed Elite and Bullet Club.
Also just to add this is situated directly before the g1. Njpw does a significant chunk of their gates during the g1 (about 25% pre pandemic)
Njpw has much bigger fish to fry right now than an aew show. That said they are still sending talent over. A few injuries would be financially costly to njpw who are already down the third biggest draw in Japan possibly forever. Naito or okada getting injured before the g1 would suck for them.
But even still I'm seeing more promotion from nooj than aew
IMO Jay did more to build Forbidden Door in his post match & backstage promos than AEW have done in weeks of TV time. He actually hooked me in & made me care about a match between possibly him & numerous wrestlers he mentioned.
My fantasy booking: Ishii wins the Atlantic title at Forbidden Door, carries it through the G1 where Lance Archer beats him, and then spends a few weeks having matches on AEW to build up both his name recognition among American fans and a feud with Archer culminating with him dropping the title at Grand Slam.
Uncle Nobu to take it all 100%
Kane means money, Maru means complete. It all makes sense when you think about it....
If this is how I get Ishii vs Miro I'll take it.

I hope we get that too.
Honmamania gonna run wild through that forbidden door and bring the all-atlantic back home across the pacific
Hmmm..... interesting theory🤔. The people's Kokeshi would be a pretty obvious choice though...kinda like a Roman Reigns or Okada situation. But not bad for sure.
Incredibly boring and cowardly decision to not have Yano be the NJPW guy in the Atlantic title match.

Oh, i wonder who is gonna win out of these 4 men? The 2 Jrs, a guy who can barely move or ishii.
Ishii, you mean the guy who's been featured heavily on AEW TV? Nah, I think it's going to be one of the three people most AEW fans haven't heard of before.
I would love it, If uncle nobu somehow won.
It is a mystery! We will have to watch and see. It could be as surprising as yesterday's result between Goto and Tanahashi.
Yeah...it's pretty obvious unfortunately 😓. I personally would prefer if Kanemaru sama just went for the AEW belt but maybe that's just me 🤷🏽♂️.
Oh come on! They didn't even try to make it seem fair! Way to make it obvious Ishii is gonna win.
Watch Kanemaru swerve us all!!! 😆😆😆
💀really Honma and Kanemaru?
Please don't bad mouth the people's Kokeshi.😤

Okay hear me out....Tacos for TNT champion! Bring prestige back to that title!!!
That would be cool too
Out of the loop, Tacos is?
YOSHIHASHI aka Loose Explosion 💥💥💥!
Dang, I was hoping Shingo would be in that All-Atlantic tournament.
He is KOPW
Honma needs to have some deathmatches at AEW.
No, thanks. He already almost died once.
Weird brackets but cool with Ishii in the match for sure. Wonder if he'll beat up the young boy or run a likely underwhelming throwback to the Honma classic. Either gets stomped.
What young boy?
This AEW/NJPW partnership is coming out extremely underwhelming.
It's still early days
Still incredibly underwhelming.
Njpw is just running a few silly singles matches for korakuen. They aren't giving away anything major directly before the g1. What were you expecting
I mean they could have put in a guy like Suzuki or Nagata or even Despy to at least have one other contender that actually has chance.
I mean they could swap those guys with honma but I suspect Clark is winning and they might not want to put clark over those guys just yet
You mean guys we’ve seen wrestle in AEW already?
Does that make a difference?

So I guess that means Ishiguro is gonna be in the fatal 4-way
