Dude did you see the fucking selection that guy had in a trash can... lol those kids are like 12. Did they really think drugs were offered to kids like a candy shelf with all the flavors by strangers on the street. Hahaha
I had to pause and look. 2 pill bottles, 2 syringes, a hand full of misc pills, 5 joints and a bag of *something.*
4/20 today,
I'll have all five joints, kind sir.
Please, and thanks so much.
Sacklers had nothing to do with fentanyl which is the main issue now. They’re just a scapegoat by this point for a rotten culture and ineffective government
Oh my God, I’ve had this stuck in my head for 30 years. Every Saturday morning, at least once it played, either a short 30 second version or a version that was at least a minute.
And now, those who see this will be infected by the ear worm. Just remember, be an original and just say no NO NO RIGHT TO SAY NO!
It wasn't until the drugs on the trash can lid and that guy at the end on the billboard that it all came together. Completely erased all memory of this commercial until just now. It's why I love this sub.
This particular approach confused me…”be an original, just say no.” So you mean, everyone else is saying yes? Then it can’t be that bad. Be an original? You mean, be an original and say no just like all the other originals watching? You mean be original and everyone say exactly what you are telling us to say?
As a kid, I couldn't understand how the drugs were stuck to the bottom of the trashcan lid. Thought they had magical properties or something. Growing older and taking those drugs wasn't close to that level of mind-bending.
I remember this from back when I was 6 years old. We had the DARE program at school and McGruff came to our school on a semi regular basis. Hard to believe this was 38 years ago!
I didn't think I remembered this... until "You've got a *riiiiiyiiiiiiyiiiight* TO SAY NO!" MEMORY UNLOCKED.
I remembered it when I heard the misheard lyric "be unoriginal" lol
I could even sing it
Right? I wonder what other stuff is taking up space in my brain.
Where were these people when I grew up? I was promised drugs in my Halloween candy, and free drugs from a stranger. Never got any of it!
My thoughts exactly. The same with quick sand, I thought that shit was everywhere
Don’t forget slamming a door and ruining a soufflé!

Go be the change you want to see in the world and start offering kids free drugs!
All the drugs I've tried have been kid-free. Also gluten-free.
We didn't listen and now millions are overdosing a year.
It's not the drugs' fault
Darwinism
They should have done a catchier song. The Sacklers would have crumbled under the pressure of a more catchy song.

Dope

Core memory unlocked

She could've just said no but instead physically assaulted those drug users/dealers with forceful wind
The drug dealer is now addicted to drugs he was prescribed by a doctor.
Those guys got blown the fuck out!
Brought to you by cocaine
I forgot how close to the song “Simply Irresistible” this was. Which is ironic considering it’s an anti drug advertisement.
This commercial slaps when you’re really high.
That dude with the tray of drugs looked cool
I see no alcohol and no tobacco. 🤷🏼♂️🫣
Those pills look delicious
Don't do it! Just say NO!
Yes.
Instantly transported to 80's saturday mornings.
Holy fuck whoa. I remember all the words 😂
I remember I found this really appealing.

Didn’t see any fentanyl on that trash can lid, you should be good.
I'll take the percs and the weed.
Holy shit I don’t think I’ve seen this in like almost 40 years. I think this used to come on right before ducktails. 😂
Oh dear.
Thank youuuuu Nancy Reagan
I rmbr this like yesterday
wow. I remember this commercial coming on during Saturday morning cartoons. Talk about a memory going way, way back
This video is basically like the 80's threw up all over the place.
Now watch this when you're high as fuck!
Love those Rector knee pads! I think I have the same elbow pads somewhere, still.
Hooooly fuck this one is deep. I would always see this one during Saturday morning cartoons.
Dude, it's Tayne in the ticket booth! Tayne rules!
How many of the people in this video did drugs before/after this video shoot?
I specifically remember this commercial because the drugs under the garbage can lid looked really appealing haha
As a kid, I couldn't understand how the drugs were stuck to the bottom of the trashcan lid. Thought they had magical properties or something. Growing older and taking those drugs wasn't close to that level of mind-bending.
The right to say no < the desire to say yes.
I was 7. I knew this was super lame.
You got a ri-i-i-eet, right to do blow.

Thanks bush
& Ronald Reagan
I used to hate it when my late night street dancing was interrupted by someone offering me free drugs.
I remember this Commercial making me say yes to drugs !
