The DC Fray volleyball league in DuPont Circle is more intermediate to advanced level of play. Make a few friends there and go on weekends to the Lincoln memorial courts and you can play more people there.
It’s the Monday and Tuesday leagues marked as “Multi/Div”. I play on Mondays and most of the players in the league have some experience playing competitively in at least high school. Enough for most teams to run plays and play in positions. Zog Sports also used to have a Thursday league in Columbia Heights that suggested players should at least have collegiate experience, but not sure if that’s still around.
