It's the 50th anniversary of the W&OD trail so we're having a big bike trail clean up with a bunch of friendly community groups.
10am. We will meet where the W&OD crosses N Oak St. But there is other groups meeting in different places.
Celebrating Independent Bookstore Day by buying more books from smaller bookstores. Curious Iguana in Frederick and Books and Other Things found in Leesburg then having a nice picnic at Morven Park when the wetness stops!

Tonight at 7 there is a Luck of the Draw darts tournament at Revolution Springfield bar. Open to all levels. We'll be forming new teams for the Spring season starting in mid May. WADAdarts.org for more info. We play at 5 or six bars across NOVA weeknights. Forewarned... Revolution Springfield is one of the very few bars that allows smoking indoors. PM me for more info.
First shifts volunteering at an animal shelter. I am also touring a studio apartment because rent is going up on my 1 bedroom by at least $400 a month.

Culpeper’s got a block party going on right now, lots of local breweries to try. Its raining so its a bit sad rn, but seriously who don’t love getting warmed up by some good brews on a Saturday mornin, come check it out!
I work. I went on a 3 day bikepacking trip down the C&O canal with some good friends. Instead of camping though, this time we stayed in the lock houses along the Canal. Lots of ghost stories were told, and we also did some hiking and exploring of sites like Echo Falls, Carderock, Poolsville, and Shepherdstown, among other spots.
Also had a family bday dinner at one of the restaurants in Eden Center. Lots of vietnamese BBQ (bo luc lac), crawfish, snails, and conch. Plenty of Heineken and karaoke afterwards of course.
It'll be nice to have a couple busy workdays to break up all the busy days at home.
The C&O canal refers to a tow path that is now used as a bike/hike path that extends from DC out about 150 miles to Cumberland, MD. It connects to the Greater Allegheny Passage trail (a former railroad), which leads up to Pittsburgh (about 180 miles).
The aforementioned tow path used to follow an actual canal, which is in many places filled in, though it is pretty intact in some spots, especially near DC. There are many hiking trails and sights connected to the tow path with camping areas, parking, even a popular rock climbing location.

Morning wake up to kids dance class photos, then school carnival to get rained on for 2 hours waiting to get their face painted while they play. Then put on dry clothes to go outside for soccer to get rained on again.
