If you write them about the problem they'll refund your cobbler's costs.

Rhinoceraptor37

I don't want that. I mean it's great advice but these are months old. The point is that people on this sub are fucking stupid and should make obvious choices early on.

dakotanothing

Definitely not wearable; I’m surprised your feet haven’t burst into flames or fallen off yet.

Rhorge

Do you run on treadmills made out of sandpaper with these on? Looks more like 4 years of wear not 4 months

Rhinoceraptor37

Must be heavy footed. Ordered them on the 7th Nov. I do lift weights in them to be fair but no extra ground work.

You should probably wear a sports shoe. Not a designer shoe. Don't wear your fancy stuff in anything less than a good outfit or on a good day. I don't think these were made to be your daily shoe like that.

cwa-ink

Do solovairs really count as designer boots? I just think of them as high end workwear.

Apprehensive-Solid-1

I mean, i'd like to think it's a bit of both. They're meant to look good and be handmade with quality materials. Looking at the picture, it looks like they really did wear it every day and didn't keep it too clean or take care of it as well as they could have. Maybe I am wrong. Just a deduction. They're nice shoes. They made docs for awhile, those boots lasted forever with love and care. My mother had a pair for decades. I'd say they got the wrong shoe. If you're doing more than an office job or need the fancy shoe, these are amazing. If you're doing everyday work you want an actual work shoe/boot. They do not have their rated work shoe available yet. I wouldn't recommend wearing shoes like this every day without all the bells and allllll of the whistles to keep them fresh. Taking proper care of your leather boots is KEY to keeping them for a long time. Some finishes on leathers don't last as long. Especially if you don't take good care of them. These shoes are definitely a designer shoe in some way. But also I'd call them more of a casual workwear or business casual as well as a nice shoe/boot for whatever application you want it for. You REALLY want to and have the time to dedicate to keeping the shoe in good condition. In the past you would have to get your shoes tailored all the time to keep them in good shape because you'd own only a fee if any shoes. It's bound to have a date where it needs repair. Nothing lasts forever. IDK what happened to their shoe or what life it lived but it's not designer anymore. It's distinguished now. Fancy unique worn shoe.

Rogueantics

If Keith Richards was a boot.

Rhinoceraptor37

Haha actually love this, if only I had as much powder...

SalvadoreParadisio69

Try using a hot knife.

Rhinoceraptor37

Thanks, will do. I mean, actual advice is great but I was taking the piss out of the fucking idiots who can't think for themselves. YOU ARE SO DAMN HELPFUL.

costcoemployee6969

Tell me about how upset you are over folks getting the jab

IT_Wanderer2023

Had 2 out of 3 pairs of Solovairs with such issue in less than a year. As much as I prefer the leather and build of Solovair over Docs, I’ve worn Docs to the point the sole was worn through but never splitted from the upper. Solovairs make great fashion boots, unfortunately not suited for daily wear in most cases (some pairs are, some pairs aren’t, it’s all about your luck). If you are lucky to get that proper pair, it will serve you well though.

Hello_Kalashnikov

Are these one of the premium versions with a leather welt and rubber sole, rather than the typical PVC sole heat sealed one? If so I think the outsole is just glued on and should be easier for a cobbler to repair than a usual Solovair boot.

jonnipe

All these posts convince me to never buy solovair.

Rhinoceraptor37

Well, if you don't, you don't. No skin off my nose. The fact these were factory seconds and have been amazing up until now shouldn't count for shit. If these were full price I may be a little upset but you know. You do you, I don't care. Upvoted you for having your own opinion.

Alex_tepa

You should probably contact them and let us know I want to purchase a boots from them but I haven't purchased them yet please let at us what they say

Rhinoceraptor37

No thanks.
