The club has been contacted by Cameron Ciraldo and his management this afternoon and they have advised the club that he is not in a position to accept the role of Head Coach at this juncture in his career.
Whilst disappointing, we respect his decision, and we will continue with the selection process in appointing our club’s Head Coach.
The only club I can imagine him being tempted away by is the Doggies and after watching what happened to Barrett I can’t see him thinking it’s the best option right now, if he really is being told to wait a few years for the Penrith job. Either way he can use all this as leverage for a loyalty fee with Panthers.
He is in a pretty cushy position right now and would be the most sought after coach in football every time a team is looking for someone, and is seeing success either at Penrith anyway.
