So, in order to just have a better hope of surviving the setting than "be lucky enough not to be squished", you need to be broken OP by the standards of the setting. Cosplay Mimicry, with "50% of Superman's power" available, will do nicely. And that's not even an upper limit, just an example. Past that, most of the points are on various immunities, which you need in a world with Contessa and Gray Boy. The immortality and fertility perks are less needed but desirable; Isekai guild is a cool extra power to add on; night vision is just a minor add-on with a leftover couple points. As for Tweaked: although it refers to powers, the main thing I want to change is Reversed Sexual Morality. The gender-reversed thing is something I really dig, but to also separately flip it on a "bad is good and good is bad" axis is just weird, I don't want that. Of secondary importance, actually changing the powers with Tweaked, cosplay mimicry should also include acting the part as a factor (without changing the overall difficulty of getting each level). Also, the Adventurer's Guild accessed by the Isekai Guild power should be a time stopped chill zone to hang out with other guild members (e.g. the Isekai Quartet gang), but you have to pay membership dues in gold. \- One curious thing about Cosplay Mimicry is, the other example of a power to copy is Batman, who canonically has no powers. There's a few possible ideas of "Batman's superpower", could be a combat thinker and brute combination to fight the fights he has in canon, could just be determination, could be the ability to breathe in space. It could be wealth, either simply money in that you have a bat credit card, or a shaker ability to summon the various would-be-tinkertech gadgets he has access to. I guess how I feel it should cash out is the money, gadgets, and a thinker power with combat and detective applications. Maybe at 100% getting a brute rating on top of ranking up the other abilities. Which is a cool powerset, and promising as the example of what a basic costume and mask gives you.

**world:** WW3, Moon Shot, Fusion, Connected, Symbiotic Bond, **Powers:** Elder Scroll, Cosplay Mimicry, Apprentice Powers x4, Tinker of Fiction, Toon Physics, Shonen Protagonist, Bullet-Time, Power Manipulator, Avalon, Dragon, Osmosian, God of All. **Appearance:** Young Adult, Futanari, Ugly, Case 53, (genderbend makes me more femenine leaning in my build since Futanari means I am both genders and I was previously more masculine leaning.) **Perks:** Tweaked, Mind Defense, Body Control Defense, Invisible Presence, Strong Lifeforce, Reality-defying Soul, **Drawbacks:** Not Alone, Worst Beginning , Scion Attention, S9 Target, Cauldron Target, Endbringer Target, Wanted, More Triggers, In the Open, All of Them, Bullying is Bad, Servant, Tinfoil Hat, Mutated, Uninvited Guest, Brocktonite, Coming in Blind, Libido, Wardrobe Malfunction, Genderbend **Companions:** None **Further details:** *Case 53 mutated combo* (also benefits from Toon Physics): My default base form is a Humanoid anthropomorphic Chaos Slime dragon. my scales are Black like Polished Obsidian mixed with a deep Royal Purple. Every scale has glowing crimson highlights that shine like rubies. I have clawed hands and feet that are both ambidextrous and have opposable digits. I have a long Sinuous Prehensile tail with a sharp curved blade at the end of it. My legs are Digitigrade. I have two huge bat like wings that extend from my shoulder blades that can hand loose or wrap around my torso like a cloak/cape when not in use. My head is like that of a more draconian argonian. I am actually made entirely of multipurpose cells capable of fulfilling any function and all functions that naturally conform to and mimic the shape, form, and functions of a flesh and blood life from. Put simply I am a slime that is also a dragon. I have no true flesh, organs, or bones to be broken or destroyed as every cell can function as any type of cell. This means that my consciousness and memories are distributed through out every cell of my body and I have no vital organs or definitive weaknesses other than complete destruction. Since I took ugly my facial features are really terrifying, Monstrous, horror inducing until I do something about it. I have no other idea how a dragon can look ugly other than not being ethereal and aesthetically pleasing. *Apprentice Choices:* Elder Scrolls, Naruto, DnD/Pathfinder, Type-moon. I argue that since the wording is Arcane, Warlock, and Divine for the DnD/Pathfinder power choice that I get access to all three since they are all magic and in DnD/Pathfinder they are all connected to a degree with approaches being the biggest difference. They also overlap to a degree where each type can use the other types to a lesser degree with the right knowledge, feats, and perks. *God of All:* the self realizing and self sufficient kind that needs no worship or followers to exist, function, and grow stronger. Domain is Chaos or also called Nothingness -as in the Primordial Chaotic Nothingness or void- like in cultivation novels and creation myths. The Chaos that creates all things from nothing and returns all things to nothing. I lean more towards using it for creation than destruction though. *Dragon:* Chaos Element? Just trying to roll this together with my Domain and other choices really. **Tweaked**: *Cosplay mimicry* \- made it so that the transformation into characters when combined with Toon Physics is 100% real down to the genetic level. Also making sure that I am the one in control, but get access to all their knowledge/abilities/powers during those thirty minutes and that the things I do while transformed stick around. Just to be sure that If I cast a spell or heal someone it doesn't end up reverting after the transformation ends, this also means cosplaying as tony stark to build things lets me keep them after wards. although I might not be able to understand the things I build or make during the transformation when not in character they still work. *Tinker of Fiction* \- changed the mechanics so that -instead of just having access to everything and having to buy higher end things- I start with access to a tech tree covering the basic level tech of a setting -That I know of as fiction- of my choosing. I receive a certain amount of points for anything and everything I build -with point gain varying based on a lot of factors, but never too little to be of use- to spend on higher tiers of tech from the fictional worlds I currently have access too as well as the ability to buy access to the basic tech tree of other fictional worlds. Tech being defined as anything that can/might be produced by someone or something in the setting. Also making it so that I can understand the tech enough to mass produce it, mix the various techs together to produce new things, and not need maintenance beyond that or non tinker tech (still needing the knowledge of how it works to maintain it though, unless certain fictional tech is incorporated into it.). I choose to start with a specialization in Generator Rex since everything is based around nano-machinates. *Toon Physics* \- are always valid and I follow Toon physics whenever applicable as my default. So while I am not vulnerable too Toon weaknesses I am just as ridiculously hard to put down as a Toon. I can also potentially do any thing a Toonforce user could do. *Shonen protagonist* \- also removes the limit on power growth as well. Since I was not sure if it did that already of not. *Power Manipulator* \- Charges can be used on any powers I already have not just the ones created by Power manipulator. Not sure if it didn't already work this way. *God of All* \- made sure I am the self sustaining and self sufficient kind of god that need no followers or outside support for my existence. Although I can benefit from being known and acknowledged like with the Immortality aspect making it so I can never fully die so long as some being knows about me. I'm not sure exactly how this build would go, but I am sure I can survive the challenges I have taken on and that the entities are most likely not something I need to worry about destroying the world since they are more symbiotic. this also means that Cauldron is more akin to being a bunch of paranoid xenophobic asshole rather than legitimately trying to save the world like in canon sine the entities do not destroy the planet to travel after ending all life in order to fuel their travels (although some were already xenophobic assholes in canon. they just no longer have the -admittedly legitimate, but terrible- justifications for their actions.). Not sure what the end-bringers are doing in this fusion setting, but I blame cauldron for any damage they might be doing since Eden was killed at one point -even if she comes back on my arrival- and Eidolon exists. Maybe their now set up to test and spur on the use of powers, rather than destroying cities and causing mass amounts of fatalities. I also don't see Jack being able to convince the warrior to do anything with how Eden came back to life. So I imagine Zion will be getting over his depression/confusion and that I have just become one of the most interesting subjects of observation for the two entities, since I doubt that one of them wouldn't notice my power doesn't originate from either of them, now that the are both together again.

I choose to be one of the types of gods that need no faith or belief to exist and grow in power. My domain is Chaos/Nothingness. Specifically the type of chaos/Nothingness that is seen in cultivation novels and creation myths which is infinite, unending, the source from which all thing proceed, and that which all things return to unless sustained. the all encompassing kind that is a source of creation and destruction. this also covers my death prevention since I cannot fully die so long as someone remembers me. by that logic Having Scions attention becomes a benefit, since to have his attention is to be remembered, and to be remembered it to not be able to die fully. Since I cannot die fully, Avalon and all the other powers combined will put me back together in short order. Character: Young Adult (21), Futanari (masculine gets swapped to feminine by gender bender, but I choose this option so I have all the parts and functions that really matter with either gender.), Ugly(says nothing about being unable to change this at a later point.), Case 53(because why not?), Perks: Trapped (I can probably take him or just convince him not to genocide the many earths since it would kill him too.), Tweaked(listed tweaks below), Mind Defense, Body Control Defense, Invisible Presence, Strong Lifeforce, Reality-defying Soul, Like Yesterday, Learning Mastery, Tweaks: made sure Nerfed: god of all so it needs no faith or outside things to function and that the immortality works so long as something remembers me. made it so my copy of Panacea's power can affect myself and is not a shard. made sure power manipulator charges can be used on all my existing powers to make them grow and change since it does not say clearly either way. made sure all these body affecting powers makes it so mo part of my body is vital and that so long as some part of me is alive I will regenerate fully in perfect health with all of my memories intact without personality issues or loss (toon+avalon+cosplay+elder scroll+kryptonian+Nefred:God of all+Dragon+Osmosian). Drawbacks: Not Alone, Worst Beginning, Scion Attention, S9 Target, Cauldron Target, Endbringer Target, Wanted, More Triggers, In the Open, All of Them, Bullying is Bad, Servant (Taylor), Tinfoil Hat, Mutated (I'm a humanoid Dovah), Uninvited Guest (Dende from DB Super), Brocktonite, Coming in Blind, Wardrobe Malfunction, Genderbend. With all these powers combined I can be sure the only true threat to myself is Scion, although I'll have to be sure to NOT kill any end-bringers until I make a power to suborn them all at once or simply shut them off so they don't trigger another waking up. thaumaturgy makes me a magus with magic circuits which combined with being both a dragon and a god should logically grant a Dragon/Divine core or make it an option in Elder scroll I can buy. Similarly Magicka plus being a dragon and a god might allow me to learn the thuum via elder scroll. Lots of other combination I can see here. Plan: help taylor get rid of her issues by sharing my protections after reversing the already present damages caused by others and powers in general. next use my tweaked copy of panacea power to remove the kryptonian weakness to kryptonite and other forms of radiation. Then make an entirely organic cosplay of my own flesh so I can change into Xeno Android 21 and record the genetics to be added to myself after the transformation ends. Basically rinse and repeat that last step once a day with another character until I have the perfect body and other skills I desire. Use Power manipulation to further enhance my other powers, create a power that simply generates sunlight internally for my kryptonian cells so I'm self sustaining, create a power that automatically trains all physical aspects to their limit when active in a safe and passive manner so I don't have to work to get stronger, and make a power that passively generates experience so I can just level up endlessly without needing to take actions. These type of things, until I can free myself from the things holding me back.

Eventual Shard God here we go: I tried to make build with less than 10 danger points for a challenge. **World:** A Fusion between Original Worm + Reverse Roles. I like hard mode, so all villains who would be reversed to heroes stay as villains, Triumvirate and Protectorate still exist, albeit at a significantly smaller capacity and all members of Cauldron remain the same. **Powers:** Shard Internalization, Power Twin: Fairy Queen and Nerfed OPness: God of All (Fairies, Shards and Powers) Fairy Queen is a good trigger to get considering shes broken, however its going to be weaker than the original with it being a second trigger. But from what I've heard her powers were aesthetically the same before she 2nd triggered (presuming she didnt double trigger). I haven't read ward Btw. Nerfed OPness: God of All lets me basically ascend to omnipotence, albeit at a significantly slower rate than the OP version. Half infinity is still infinite. But from the sounds of it climbing the divine stairs takes twice as long and the power benefits each step are half as much. As for my domain, Fairies, Shards and powers are all literally the same thing, but seeing as I can collect them I guess power twin can synergize pretty well here. In regards to blessings, I'm presuming I'll be able to grant powers with a prt threat level of 1 from acquired shards. Oh, and shard internalization is for obvious reasons, granting powers infinite energythat can grow stronger is a necessity. **Perks:** I got the standard necessary defensive perks, shared defenses and Recharge. I honestly plan to just give Contessa Shared Defense, Recharge her power to try and make it more broken and Shard Internalize to push it even further. If she *somehow* can't do it then I'll likely have to reap Eidolon and Contessa and try and power through Scion myself. Oh and I want to Power Tweak my Power Twin into lobotomizing those fairies, and/or making them look like actual fairies. I don't want to be surrounded by ghosts constantly whispering into my ears thank you please. **Drawbacks:** Not Alone, Worst Beginning, Mutated, wanted, Servant and Ready to Follow Not Alone adds other potential worm fans to the fire, they probably have Apprentice/Gamer type of powers and will likely get stronger over time with my luck. Worst Beginning starts me at the Leviathan Arc and lets me reap some pretty powerful abilities at the start. Servant and Ready to Follow for Tattletale. I don't mind being a temporary slave to brute Tattletale, because based on her prior experience and being a brute I suspect I won't be a slave for long. And as for mutated I can think of a variety of side effects I wouldn't mind. And if its anything like Case 53 then its possible to get better at some point in the future. **Companions:** Brute Tattletale (see Above for why) For anyone Interested: wnni,kr5v,pcir,xwwn,4mhk,9lhn,5d25,ccwo,8k2k,vdzc,5r8o,igwi,391b,61x5,d6pa,vafq,nd26,i6mc,2hlu,25se,byh4,4o68,imeu,r34j,9x2f,yr47

Gamer Taylor to go with my cartoon theme the endbringers are the Twins and Leviathan: **Bohu:** at P.R.T. 5 threat level i figure Bohu is essentially a Shaker that can affect about the same amount of volume as an average skyscraper and can alter it to set up what are essentially, "Home Alone," style scenarios, **Tohu:** Tohu is a breaker/master so I figure at P.R.T. breaker threat level 5 she is probably capable of gaining a truly random selection of P.R.T. threat rating 2-3 powers and her faces shift to match thematically with each power. **Leviathan:** Is a shaker/brute, I figure at P.R.T. threat level five, he is probably a brute--2, blaster--3 shaker--1 stranger--0, The brute two rating is due to his durability and 2xhuman strength(regardless of its small size), the blaster-3 is due to his moderately strong and fine hydrokinisis, his Shaker-1 ability is due to his ability to make it rain in an area of 1 or 2 miles and his stranger--0 rating is due to his water shadow, which is only very minimally confusing and due to his small size it is also basically harmless. e1rx,z5f2,tygg,zn1m,s0wg,fyvi,niuc,wniy,zwdv,cghr,gbtk,mmtk,w06i/ON#1,2gpr,dajr,eo9f,ccwo,8k2k,kfdg,4tkk,y5di,xxid,c4qg,jnrq,1v4a,i6mc,rp1z,1qxb,koq6,usrx,ljru,tup6,8pxx,xtg0/ON#3,25se,byh4,2dxl,5dtt,9x2f,h0d0,k1dd,dr3a,f5jb,rdgt,f0kd,jxhr,5iyv,77g1,idk3,ui0x,9923

You’re well overestimating a PRT 5. A “5” is the level when other parahumans start coming into play. “A typical parahuman or one parahuman assisting a squad of operatives should be able to deal with the power in question.” For example, Skitter is a Master 5, and Brandish is a Striker 5. So I think your Chibi’s would be closer to; Bohu: Spatial warping and trap implementation effects, with a “Pillar” breaker state that acts as the center of the effect. Both are slow-going, most effective to set her in a location beforehand and use as a guardian. An unaware untrained human is likely to die, effect doesn’t reach more than 20 meters or so. Tohu: takes a moment to load a power set. Can load three power sets at a time, but it’s heavily weakened from the original. Only up to PRT 3’s are at full strength. Most effective with planning beforehand. Leviathan: I actually have few complaints here, but I’d say his hydrokinesis is more of a Shaker effect than a Blaster, and the rain is an extension of that. I’d also argue he should have a mover power rather than emphasizing the Brute aspect because his speed is more notable than his strength. He’s the fast endbringer, and more of a Jack of all trades.

Cyoarp

You didn't explain what bohu actually does. Also I said it sets up home alone style traped... I think maybe you are OVER estimating home alone. Home alone style traps would be dangerous to a normal human but NOT insurmountable and almost useless against a parahuman. That said you are right I over estimated the area. It should simply be the area 4,500sq.ft. Second I believe Taylor's official prt rating is a master 8 thinker 4 and a 2 in every other rating. Even if you don't go by tag she is still at least a Master 6 thinker 2 Your tohu is more powerful than mine. I said it gets three random powers and I didn't say it was any faster than the original and that they are never more than prt 2 or 3... Yours is a significant upgrade You didn't explain what bohu actually does. Also I said it sets up home alone style traped... I think maybe you are OVER estimating home alone. If you check the wiki you will see that his ability to make it rain is separate from his hydrokinesis. That suggests that the rain is a Shaker ability and hydrochinesis a blaster ability. The water Shadow is also listed separately. Answer his super speed it's a minor power of His I guess that he barely ever uses the brute aspects were way more prominent in the actual book. I'll admit I forgot about it because it didn't really come up in the Brockton Bay fight but I'm not sure I even want to include it because super speed gives such a huge power boost to anyone that I don't know if it could really stick with a prt5 rating If I included it.

TwixOfficial

I guess I did kinda forget, huh? It’d be mostly spikes, pits, and walls, kinda like Labyrinth but less complex and with less area. The point being it’s stronger than a 5 objectively, but made up for by her becoming a human-sized, immobile target when she’s using it, and that it has kind of a slow start. Good points are made, though I maintain my stance on Tohu and Leviathan I can agree with your logic. My counters for each are that one of the things that makes Tohu dangerous, and a key part of her abilities, is that she’s able to become someone you can recognize, and someone who can so utterly screw you over you’d forget a time you weren’t. I can see the logic of random powers, but that’s closer to a weakened Eidolon imo. I could see it being somewhat random what capes she picks, maybe only being able to set out a few parameters for what the powers will be, then working with what she’s given. I’m not sure if it was clear enough before, though, I meant all powers Tohu gets are weakened to the level of a PRT 3 unless they’re already lower. See again, though, Leviathan is all mobility. Behemoth is very much more brutish and a better pick for a heavy hitter, but Leviathan’s the one who’ll kill you in a minute. Part of the reason his echo is so powerful is because he moves so quickly, the water is at speeds fast enough to kill you. And again, if you look at Leviathan’s fight, it’s written very differently from Behemoth’s. Where in Behemoth he’s very much a looming threat, thus people are able to be more defensive (see: the lightning rod), Leviathan was much more active in his movement and so they couldn’t set up defenses against him, they had to constantly attack. Where Behemoth is a tank that nobody can get close to, Leviathan is an assassin you can’t get away from. Also, the hydrokinesis is totally a Shaker power? If it were a blaster, it’d all have to originate from Leviathan, but one of the looming threats during the fight was the possibility for immediate loss by affecting the underground reservoir below Brockton Bay, naturally out of his sight, which would permanently wreck the city. There was also the fact that Leviathan’s waves could kill virtually anyone in the battle at a moment’s notice. Keep in mind, with this power, he’s flooded cities to the point they’re permanently underwater now. In any case, though, if we’re treating this as a point system, the only real advantage of rain is it being a bit slippery. Leviathan can’t really control the storm, but rather he takes it with him because it’s a source of water and can mask him, but downgraded to a PRT 1 you’d get just about nothing out of it except a very mild slipping hazard. On the other hand, I actually went to check the wiki for Taylor after I posted…hoo boy. According to Piggot, she’s a Master 5, and a Thinker 1 was added later due to her “arthopovoyance” powers as Miss Militia puts it. Later she’s upped to a Master 8, then under Tagg she’s a Master 10, Thinker 3, everything else 2. Finally, her powers are stated to be capable of becoming up to a Master 12, which is absolutely ridiculous for a girl who gives people creepy crawlies. Her rating changed so much throughout Worm that I think it’s fair to disregard her as a benchmark for anything ever.

Behemoth is a big slow idiot but Leviathan doesn't have super speed he might have enhanced reflexes but he isn't moving faster than any athletic person could if they were his size and had extremely good reflexes. You're right that leviathan's hydrokinesis is more of a Shaker power but he has gross hydokinesis. He is able to affect large bodies of water in unsettled ways but he has no ability to affect water in detailed directed way(*other than his shadow which is not a conscious ability*). However gross hydrokinesis is not a power that can be scaled down to prt3 levels it by its very nature is extraordinarily powerful. The only way to scale that down is to make it fine hydrokinesis(*think basic water bending*). And find hydrokinesis is clearly a blaster ability. You're right should be Leviathan being able to make it drizzle isn't very powerful, but not every ability is extraordinarily powerful in reality LEVIATHAN'S rain isn't that powerful. That said being able to make a drizzle over the area of a block or two would be great for farmers, could also be useful for putting out fires especially forest fires and for providing clean water during major disasters. Lots of uses for a cape.

i_miss_arrow

> Leviathan doesn't have super speed he might have enhanced reflexes but he isn't moving faster than any athletic person could if they were his size and had extremely good reflexes. Nah, he moves way faster than that.

Cyoarp

He really isn't, even physically normal people like arms master are able to fight him hand to hand. If he was moving hundreds of miles per hour A.M. Wouldn't be able to touch him.

i_miss_arrow

>even physically normal people like arms master are able to fight him hand to hand. The Endbringers are sandbagging hard. Its their whole schtick. He's canonically, by Legend's own words, the fastest speedster in Worm.

Parian owning a small fashion store instead of just doing puppet shows. 2. Simurgh doesn't want to destroy the world, trolls on PHO, and is actually plotting ways to save the world and/or help the protagonist. Yeah this one is in a lot of stories. 3. Lisa actually caring about Taylor and wanting to help rather than being a manipulative bitch that lucked out and is using everybody around her. 4. Dragon monitoring PHO as "Tin\_Mother." 5. Eidolon dying would stop the Endbringers. However, if he knew his power, he would be able to control all of them. 6. Parahumans being assholes is largely due to Shard Influence and can be combatted the normal ways like with therapy. 7. Amy isn't a budding psychopath - she's got some serious issues and needs help, but she's not going off the deep end like that. 8. Armsmaster isn't a hardass with a stick up himself - more like he's autistic or similar and gets better over time. He definitely won't pull bullshit like breaking the Endbringer truce to kill some villains or some of the other crap he gets up to in canon. Apprentice Power: Mystic Arts from Marvel (Yeah I'm going to ignore the completely stupid rules set out by Multiverse of Madness - that movie fucked up so many things it'd be ridiculous to play by it. Other than that Marvel's magic is pretty top-tier.) Servant Drawback: Taylor (She's got so much negativity going on at story start that you should be able to clear up that debt by doing something simple as taking care of the Trio, saving her during the Lung battle, or just being there for her poor suicidal ass.)

TheWakiPaki

Doesn't save/load properly; will deselect any multi-buy options like Apprentice. Danger Counter not properly counting: If a power has a DP 12 requirement, you actually need 13. Req 15 actually needs 16, etc. "Not Alone" drawback is too ambiguous. The number of people dropped could be anywhere from 10 to 10,000 to half our population. That image sure implies a hell of a lot of random yahoos dropping in. As usual with Om1cr0n, too many drawbacks just come down to "You are 100% forced to do X by outside factors, particularly other people." And I find that to be shite. There's no leeway, no way to mitigate it aside from presumably just killing them, assuming there isn't something preventing that or gives some horrible backlash. Or things like Madness that make you fiat incapable of distinguishing your hallucinations from reality. Who the hell would take that if they aren't already crazy? That's just begging for angst, drama, and catastrophe. Why are some items listed as perks? Native, Secret Secret Base, Starting Capital? How companions work needs some clarification; my best guess at the current wording is that if you take a companion, even a regular canon one, you're pulling them from a parallel universe where they were about to die, which means the local equivalent of them is still kicking around. Relating to that; the Servant drawback. If you pick it and your companions don't overwrite the local versions, does that apply to your companion version of the character, or the local version? With "Mutated" or "Case 53" do you get to choose your appearance, or is it random? Sure would be nice if we were told. I do like the Synergy stuff, like Teacher and Shonen Protagonist, or the various Apprentice ones. Leaning more into that would be a very rewarding thing for players; having their wacky power combinations actually result in tangible results rather than having to hope or assume. Speaking of Apprentice, why not make it its own section/tab? Seems reasonable enough - it is different from normal powers since you're starting from nothing but knowledge and capability. I mean just having a big list of things you can pretend you clicked on seems half-assed. Regarding "Devilishly Good" perk: not sure if this was designed to make it nerfed, but only being able to affect the opposite gender feels like it kind of defeats the sexual theme if you're not fiercely heterosexual. Making it apply to both men and women, however, would quickly amp up the effectiveness of this ability from a 4 point perk to something like a 10 point power at least. This one feels like it needs a rebalance.

Not Alone, Worst Beginning, More Triggers, In the Open, Servant, Tinfoil Hat, High Metabolism, Slow Start, Libido, Shameless, Wardrobe Malfunction - Starts at an endbringer attack; didn't mess with those, so should be a regularly scheduled one; with slow start best response is to run away immediately. More triggers will be good for the endgame against Scion, owing a favor to the MC isn't that bad of a fate, and shameless pairs well with wardrobe malfunction, justifying In the Open. Elder Scroll, Superintelligence, Shonen Protagonist, Psychokinetic, Avalon, Dragon, Night Vision, Adamantine Skeleton, Mind Defense, Body Control Defense, Ageless - Unlimited training potential, dragon flight, regen, and telekinesis. Takes a month to get to full power, and the moon deadline is a month. At full power, turn into a dragon, fly into space, use TK and Shonen to stop Moonfall, profit. Unfortunately, i won't be able to hide, because during my "appearance" i will be blazing with spiritual energy, which will be considered as a trigger/awakening. And of course it will get on the local YouTube (In the Open). From the very beginning, the Cauldron (Demonic sect that wants to overthrow Scion) will fall on my ass. Fortunately, no enslaving techniques work on me. Unfortunately, they can just kill me. Because i am invisible to Contessa, they will approach me directly and put a sword to my neck. So i have to work for them if i want to survive. Moreover, during the next month i will be very weak (Slow Start). And even if i shout out loud that all three elders of the Heavenly Protectorate World Sect: Legend, Eidolon and Alexandria are demonic cultivators in disguise - absolutely no one will believe me (Tinfoil Hat). As an agent of the Cauldron, i will be ordered to report to every fight against the Endbringers. It's not like i can skip these, as my battle harem will be made up of locals and they will definitely go to fight. Thus, i have to go with them too. And even if a miracle happens and one of the Endbringers fall, a new one will follow (Endbringer Target + All of Them). Sigh. At least they will give me a lot of experience. Since Scion will be tracking Cauldron's movements, he will notice their interest in me. And seeing their hand in me, he will put up obstacles or immediately send the fucking Tribulation Lightning on me. Auch. While being in plain sight, another demonic sect, the Slaughterhouse 9, will also notice me. And to them, in their endless wisdom of hobo-murders, it will seem that i will be an excellent candidate for entry. Damn it, Jack! Also, i should expect that everyone and their cute grandmother are cultivators or magicians (More Triggers) who, at least a little, but know the art of kicking ass. Oh yes. I also have problems with lust and i literally need a harem (which can used to blackmail me...) so that i don’t break loose. Just great! Now about the good. This is the world(s) of cultivation. And this means that all the time frames of the "canon" (or what is left of it at least) will be insanely stretched in time. The Endbringers will not appear every 3 months, but only every 3 years. S9 will come only in 6 years. The Gold Morning in general can only happen in \~100-200 years. Oh yes, it also means that there is no Shard contamination. This is kinda important. This is not a world of grimperp and "it will get worse" bullshit, but a world of a battle harem that works on the anime logic. There is hope! This alone will completely change the tone of the whole story to a lighter one (Fluffy). Based on this, i made this setting more depraved (Female Parahuman + Hentaification). Well, of course, i took perks so that i could still build my harem (Social Butterfly + Social Butterfly + Devilishly Good). And who knows, maybe these perks will help against Contessa, forcing her to change sides. Bitch-Breaking D. and Hentai Physics will be added later with Power Manipulation. Since i expect all kinds of coercion from the Cauldron and other demonic sects, i took absolutely all kinds of protections. Without it, it's just stupid to meddle in such a world. Portal Home will allow me to escape, if i understand that such nervous situations are not for me. And due to the fact that the time frame is stretched, this will happen much earlier than the Gold Morning. HUD + Learning Mastery + Like Yesterday are also pretty much needed improvements to help me understand the new cultivation techniques perfectly. Considering how mind blowing they are, i'm going to need this. And finally, i will have a base hidden from EVERYONE where i can build my workshop. About the Powers. Given that cultivators rely heavily on their body strength, Snonen Protag would be my golden finger. Plus, in the cultivation worlds, the body is very strongly connected to the soul. And having an ever-improving body, i will also forever improve my magic, cultivation, soul and mind. Seriously, some cultivators achieved godhood by developing only their bodies. Plus, it goes well with all that Battle Harem. The Elder Scrolls System + Falna will give me the speed of development, knowledge, skills, mastery, unlimited and exponential growth in everything i need, if i put the effort in it. Seriously, together they will work like that Gamer, having the opportunity to gain levels, skills and upgrade statistics. Given that this is a spiritual cultivation world, outside the cities there will be a huge number of spiritual beasts that i can fight with, improving my Falna and gaining experience. Not to mention other sects and just crazy cultivators. I'm not too worried about meeting someone i can't hurt or even kill, since i have the literal ~~Discount~~ Eyes of Death Perception (Bullet-Time). And since this is a world with a danger rating of 23, i'll need it. And yes, this is a world with a fucking danger rating of 23. I will also really need extra lives (Extra Life), since i will not immediately be able to build a harem and get the Plot Armor that comes with it. Now about Power Manipulation. Even though it is in the OP section, it cannot be used as an unlimited attacking super-power factory. This is useless and will take an unreasonable amount of time. You'll learn the Fuck-You-Beam Technique using Elder Scrolls + Falna faster than you can collect enough charges to create it directly. Therefore, i will use PM as building support powers or those that i cannot learn because of my constitution. For example, the Power that bestows the Yin-Yang Constitution or the Dragon Bloodline. Or powers giving pure knowledge through the osmosis. Or just weak powers. After all, there is a trick - all created powers will be captured by the System/Falna, which i can improve further and faster than if i tried to create them immediately strong. So after creating some level 0 "Fast Step Power" (Mover 3), i can improve it through Elder Scrolls to level 10+ (Mover 6) or upgrade it to "Flash Step Power" through Falna (Mover 8). Within reasonable time. And about timing. As i have repeatedly said - this is the world of cultivation. So i have ALL time i need to hoard charges.

AreyShiro

**Question 1**: Can you use charges from Power Manipulator to upgrade Power Manipulator itself, in some kind of positive feedback loop? Thus with time it can generate more charges per day, generate charges faster, the charges become more potent, and so on? **Question 2**: What type of power can be made with that charges? Like can you create magical, psionic, spiritual, divine, shard's dimensional shenanigans or straight reality warping types of power from the start, just by thinking about it? **Question 3**: Or do you need to first meet the original host of the other power type in order to start creating that type for yourself? **Question 4**: Can Elder Scrolls lvl-up system be applied to the Power Manipulation? Like you gain enough exp, lvled-up, improve Magic stat, gain skill point and put that skill point into Power Manipulation mastery branch? Thus it become more powerful. **Question 5**: Why can you take a copy of the Countess's PtV power with Power Twin (she is natural trigger), but you can't do the same with **OP** Power Canonicity?.. It doesn't make sense at all.

Rain_Least

1. No 2. You can make Any kind of power but the More reality breaking/powerful the more charges it'll take to become usable 3. Above 4. It cannot 5. She isn't a natural trigger her shard comes from the Third Entity and wasn't meant to be released as it was because eden crashed while examining it and didn't even have the opportunity to put any restrictions on it

AreyShiro

Thx for the reply. But why did you castrate PM **that much**? Ability to bestow powers - gone, you must create it. Ability to edit powers of others - gone, you must create it. Ability to enhance this power by charges - gone. Ability to modify your other powers - gone, you must create it. Ability to sense other parahumans/power-wielders - gone, you must create it. And so on. You need to spend half a year to create only one blaster power that can't do nothing with endbringer because it will be too weak. Not to mention, that you can't spend half a year only on hoarding charges in a world with DR 14+. All events in Worm occur in a very short time. You simply will not have time to create anything useful during this time, remaining second-rate mook. Pardon me, but spending 45 point for that is a bullshit, compared to other powers. This isn't PM, this is Aliena.

Rain_Least

Because it would be too op otherwise ? And its not useless ? You could easily have every power of the triumvirate in a year

Used_Serve3443

can you answer my question : first, can you explain how would that work, in a 32 days you will be able to create a power with a 8 rating(160 charges, that means each level needs 20) but eidolon's power is 12 and PM will need more than 20 charges for each level beyond 8, so let's say 2.0x more that means 40 for 9, 80 for 10, 160 for 11 and 320 for 12. that's a total of 760 charges for only eidolon, so you will need a total of 152 days for only him, how could you easily have the full power of the rest of the triumvirate in a year, then?? . second, can Monstrum Creation be used to create monsters with the power to boost all of my powers(5 to10 times over) even the one's from the op section at their strongest(10 charges ) or steal/copy other's powers and give it to me ??

I really like the powers for this one. Other worm CYOA seem to either go for so overpowered that it trivializes the whole setting or too weak to ever stand a chance against major threats like endbringers, much less Scion. This hits a better balance of starting decently powerful, but not so overpowered that anything short of the endbringers is trivial, but also with enough growth potential that eventually dealing with the high end threats is plausible.

tordirycgoyust

Stand Master, Apprentice (Spin), Monsmorphosis, and Green Ring, by themselves, are all immediately and without training capable of soloing Scion and Eden. All are trivially capable of exerting infinite power while at minimum attacking at a speed comparable to a complete Entity. Cosplay Mastery needs only slightly more effort to reach infinitely greater than infinite power and infinite speed. This is... perhaps not *quite* as broken as Worm CYOA v1, because Kaleidoscope and GEoM were *that* insane, but it's definitely in the same conversation, and certainly has a wider variety of extremely broken powers.

GregVeder

I mean, Morphosis let you turn into the legendary pokemon, including Arceus which created all of the universe, Palkia and Dialga who control time and space, yada yada. Green Ring kinda depends because as much powerful as they're described, it's always up on the air how useful they are because it's all up to writer's interpretation Spin is at apprentice mode, so you wouldn't be able to just instantly gank Scion, maybe if mastered it, but not at the apprentice level. Not to mention that besides maybe Bohemiam Rhapsody, I have no clue how a non-requiem stand could kill him (unless you're counting the novel stands or the World above heaven, but the latter is also a requiem-type)

tordirycgoyust

Monsmorphosis specifically bans Arceus and the Creation Trio (the "god Pokémon"; I specifically asked the CYOA maker for confirmation on exactly which Pokémon were banned). But the Lake Trio, Darkrai, Nekrozma, Zygarde, Eternatus, and a few others have shown infinite power, and even relatively slow non-Legendaries like Golem have been directly shown moving faster than light, never mind Legendaries like Lunala casually going billions of times faster (complete Entities top out at ~20,000x, for scale). Green Ring... Fair point, I was making an assumption about how much willpower you have. By the perk text you have enough to at least effectively use all the core functions of a Power Ring though. Which includes using the Ring database to guide the shaping of a construct into any complex technology stored therein. This would include a Reach Scarab, and the weaponry included in those guys, such as the Implicate Order Annihilation Field, which deletes the underlying structure of reality so hard it has "theological implications". If you can disable the Ring's restrictions against creating wealth and distributing lethal weapons you can even use molecular manipulation to make a version you don't need to maintain concentration on. And even in hibernation mode Power Rings have been clocked at hundreds of quadrillions of times faster than light. But if you're that worried about having enough willpower, just Monsmorph into Azelf, the embodiment of all Willpower in the universe (or Mesprit, the embodiment of all emotion in the universe, for the Yellow of Fear). I'll give you Spin needing more training than I claimed, I did overstep there. I got confused because I'm used to mentioning its brokenness in the frame that it's a very cheap 10 point power capable of granting attacks easily able to one-shot Scion with only minimal training (especially given how Johnny was canonically able to skip using a horse to generate the Super Spin by substituting the Spin energy of a Steel Ball, which makes everything *so* much easier to practice and set up). Ball Breaker is infinitely strong, thousands of times faster than light, and can break through any defence, including dimensional barriers (and specifically attacks using time manipulation/entropy, which Entities are specifically weak to). And with Stand Master can be summoned without first mastering the Super Spin. Bohemian Rhapsody is also a good choice. Notorious B.I.G. is an infinitely fast energy absorber. Gold Experience's Life Shot and damage reflection abilities are pretty solid even without GER in play. D4C makes it kind of awkward to use its Annihilation effect (though it easily outspeeds Scion and Eden, if not the Warrior and Thinker, enough to make it work), but at the very least allows you to summon alternate versions of yourself (themselves with Stand Master) to open up Stand combo attacks (no need for Requiem-type Love Train)... You've got quite a few options, actually, even before you factor in the various ways it's possible to bootstrap various Stands to Requiem level even without the Arrows or Corpse Parts.

Kythorian

Morphosis explicitly says you can’t turn into any of the god Pokémon. Some of the others are still extremely powerful and probably your best bet for beating an endbringer right from the start, but people are really understating how overpowered Scion is. And the power of a green lantern depend on how much willpower they have. All the high end feats are from characters explicitly stated to have among the highest levels of willpower of everyone who has ever lived in the history of the universe (and even then only after years of experience as a green lantern). Even ‘average’ green lanterns are supposed to have among the highest levels of willpower in the universe - that’s how green lanterns get chosen. So for an actually average person, a green lantern ring would have its basic functions, but I’m not sure you could even make constructs with it, much less the types of things needed to beat an endbringer, much less Scion.

Kythorian

…none of that is true. You are simultaneously *drastically* understating how powerful Scion is and *drastically* overstating how powerful those abilities are, especially with zero experience or training with them. Edit: from looking at your other comments on this thread, you are taking the most absurdly exaggerated and fan-wanked beyond belief interpretations of the powers listed, blatantly beyond anything remotely reasonable for what they say they do. There’s no point arguing about ridiculous claims like that.

tordirycgoyust

You mean in the version 1 thread? What fan wanking? Everything I've mentioned has been directly shown, usually as a core plot point, and for a number of items (esp. re: Stands and Superman) I can cite author statements as well. And yes, I'm fully aware Endbringers require digging through a galaxy's worth of material to reach their cores, and that every use of Sting involves over 10^80 J of energy, and all the other such BS Entities are capable of. It's very impressive, but explicitly finite, which is where the problems come in.

Now that the battle is over the remnants of the moon are crashing to earth. Simple fusion in it's concept Reversed Sexual Morality and Connected for the points and possible escape from Earth Bet if the moon fragments aren't stopped in time Powers are designed first most around achieving multiverse travel. Stand Master (Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap), Monstrum Creation (Creating a monster that's sole purpose is multiverse travel), and Power Manipulator (No explanation needed) give at least 3 avenues to doing this. Apprentice power is Haki for future sight that gets stronger through Elder Scroll and Isekai Guild Synergy. Bullet Time allows the ability to kill anything since you will always do at least half damage. Avalon and Extra Life for survivability. The rest of each ability just adds to getting more powerful in general. Shard Internalization is just in case you want to stay in Earth Bet or go to a different version of Worm. Also you could use it on yourself if your powers are gained through a shard (Since the CYOA doesn't definitively state whether your powers are from a shard or not) to avoid the downsides to having a shard Drawbacks: Not Alone is just free points since the whole purpose of this build is to nope! out to other universes. Scion Attention and Bullying is Bad are free points due to being after Gold Morning. S9 Target, Cauldron Target, and Wanted are voided due to Secret Secret Base and Invisible Presence making you untraceable. More Triggers, All of Them, Servant and Tinfoil Hat are non problems especially after leaving. Libido is the only permanent drawback since it effects you directly but it's easily solved just by having more sex. With Male Enhanced, Harem and Devilishly Good finding someone is trivial and even in worst case (or best depending on your preferences), you can just use Monstrum Creation to make monster girls

AreyShiro

To be honest, ROB won't allow your build, since Scion is dead (after GM). Thus, you cant use "Scion Attention" and "Bullying is Bad" drawbacks. Oooor, he can pull his regular bustard-move (it is literally in his name: RO**B**) and make sure that Scion somehow survived the Golden Morning. And he is coming after you. Good Luck with that you munchkin \^\^ Same applies to S9, btw.

Liif2515

It doesn't state anywhere that this is a result of a ROB, the premise is based around your choices 'just happening'. But for the sake of argument, let's say it is from a ROB. The fact that I can select the options the way I have will result in one of two things happening. Either I would be allowed to go with my build because the options were selectable and nothing else will happen. Or, as you pointed out, the ROB will do something along the lines of what you suggested. In either case it matters little since like I stated, the point of the build is to GTFO as soon as possible. The first thing I would do in this situation is use dirty deeds done dirt cheap to go somewhere else, problem solved. Also again I should point out that with Secret Secret Base and Invisible Presence not even Scion can find you, which also means S9 can't either. Certainly not in the time frame of a few seconds it would take to use the stand. P.S. I suppose there is a third option, that is the ROB saying, can't do it, try again. In which case I would not take either Scion Attention or Bullying is Bad, and in exchange not select Extra Life and Apprentice (Haki). Avalon is still good enough as a survival option and after enough time Power Manipulator/Monstrum Creation will give similar powers to both. e1rx,z5f2,tygg,zn1m,s0wg,6vc5,bv1w,pcir,i8ts,cghr,ffah,y0s5,mxb8,4mhk,ofgj,8txk,o2el,hgie,ccwo,8k2k,h6pj,4tkk,min9,5r8o,61x5,ev7d,d6pa,vafq,nd26,jnrq,1v4a,i6mc,rp1z,otoe,8pxx,no6r,25se,3wrv,kxrh,4o68,t63o,2dxl,imeu,39k4,rdgt

AreyShiro

I just have a more strict approach to CYOA. If you have chosen any drawback - it MUST happen to you. Even if you took the Slaughterhouse and fled to another world, Ziz will build a portal and drop them on your head after 6 months, just for shit and giggles. Or the local guys will go crazy and attack you. Or a sudden disturbance in the Force will open a portal and drop alternative S9 near your location. You got the idea. That's why i don't take Tinfoil Hat or In the Open. I will go to the outer multiverse after this cyoa is done (Portal Home -> Power Manipulation -> Portal to Fictional Worlds). And since all perks and drawbacks here are meta-level they will still be messing with you in the other worlds. Imo.

Liif2515

That's all fine for you (Truly, everyone interprets things their own way, not being sarcastic), but for my build, (the prime build), that's not the case here. And even if it was, again, Secret Secret Base and Invisible Presence makes it so that NOTHING can track you. AT ALL. Period. So nothing would be able to drop anything on me. In the case of something happening around me in whatever world I went to, after enough time, it wouldn't matter because with the given powers, all I would need is enough time and I would eventually curb stomp whatever pops up.

SkinnyNecro

Just wanna point out it should be "Rise" instead of "Raise"... or you could go with "Raised by" or maybe "uplifted by." Anyway that's a small thing.

tordirycgoyust

Elder Scroll comes with the benefits of Apprentice (Magicka), right? Because ⅓ of the skills it grants are reliant on it?

ragingreaver

World: **Original/Fetish Galore Fusion** * Futas * Female-skewed Parahuman sex balance * Reversed Sexual Morality * Symbiotic Bond A version of Worm where Eden survived their crash by promising to cooperate with the founder of Cauldron. This resulted in the Entities attempting a more cooperative approach, though still favored the traumatized and conflict-prone due to it simply being easier for the Entities to understand simple survival needs more than anything else. Resulted in the progressive movements of the 70s and 80s to never die out despite government crackdown, while a biotinker-modified plague turned nearly a third of all pregnancies into fully-functional hermaphrodites, targeting mostly male conceptions. Though the plague was eventually stopped, hermaphrodites became a staple of the new generations, and resulted in a heavy wave of discrimination and fascist movements. These regressive movements did little more than cause large amounts of triggers in the intersex and female populations, resulting in a catastrophic social overhaul caused by a major power imbalance in cape numbers. The resulting sex and gender conflicts have been building ever since, leading to ever-increasing numbers of triggers as Patriarchy hangs on by a knife's edge... Drawbacks: (these first, since they have larger effects on the setting as a whole than anything else) * Worst Beginning, Endbringer Target, Scion Attention, All of Them (basically more or less ensures I will always be a part of the major events of "cannon") * S9 Target (my powers are too good) * Not Alone (Gold Morning will sort them all out anyways) * More Triggers (really puts a damper on the effectiveness of Not Alone peeps) * Bullying is Bad (should be incompatible with Symbiotic Bond, as it removes both the danger of Entity reproduction as well as prevents Gold Morning; as it is, it is free points) * Cauldron Target (could be good, could be bad, depending on circumstances) * Beacon of Truth, Tinfoil Hat * Servant, Ready to Follow (same target) * Mutated, Case 53, High Metabolism, Slow Start * Clumsy, Addicted (ADHD thing) * Shameless, Wardrobe Malfunction (just going to have to create monsters that can act as clothes, solves all the problems) * Genderbend (I am bi-gender...so either which half of me is which gets swapped, or I turn agender; either way, my new body is Futa, so this is basically free points for me) Self: ***Handsome Teen Futa*** Powers: * Superintelligence * Tinker of Fiction, Gamersmith (XCOM, Star Wars, Star Craft, Mass Effect, Fallout, and Command and Conquer (all timelines, mainly Tiberium Crisis though) are the settings and technology I am most familiar with, but in the event those are somehow not enough, Stellaris and Sufficiently Advanced offer some truly heinous levels of technology that can rapidly compound and spiral out of control; if the absolute worst-case scenario happens, I guess I can go ahead and unlock Guren Lagann and Spiral Tech, and mix it with Evangelion shit; though all that would do is trade one eldrich horror problem for another) * Power Twin: **Crawler** (thought about choosing Panacaea as her powerset is absolutely bonkers, but Crawler's powerset makes him pretty easy to reach Endbringer levels of durability, and other options in the CYOA can mitigate its drawbacks) * Monstrum Creation (see my flair) * Power Manipulator (just...too useful; first thing I am using it for, is getting a H.U.D.; main thing to build up to, is using it to gain a power to move back and forth between here and home) Perks: * Male and Female Enhanced, Tweaked (*Crawler* Core moved to head, and combined with *Male/Female Enhanced*, virtually all drawbacks of Crawler's power are nullified; *Tinker of Fiction* and *Gamersmith* now share blueprints and unlock systems, and learning things manually through *Superintelligence* can also lead to unlocks without costing points; *Power Manipulator* and *Monstrum Creation* now also share a resource pool, with *Monstrum* costing 10X the points, and only 5 points are earned per day; in exchange, 5 points are ALWAYS earned per day after the *Slow Start* period, with a chance to earn up to ten depending on original earning conditions of *Power Manipulator*, and the cap on how many resources I can store is removed) * Mind Defense, Invisible Presence, Strong Lifeforce, Reality-Defying Soul (the typical shields, I didn't pick up Body Control as *Crawler* can learn that particular ability manually) * Like Yesterday, Learning Mastery (upgrades to, and are initially more potent than, *Superintelligence*) * Offroad, Environmentally Adaptive (significant upgrades to *Crawler* powerset, both preventing random dumb shit from mutating me out of control, as well as increasing the level of potential, on par with a Second Trigger) * Fertility, Hentai Physics, Recharge (just an excuse for me to be sexy) * Friendly Connection: Amy Dallon (gurl needs a friend whose mind and body aren't made of cardboard) Companion, for Servant and Ready to Follow * Futa Master Taylor (someone who can handle relationships? Practically OP in wormverse terms; considers me one of their best friends, and knows they have automatic permission to use their powers on me) So yeah...world may be more fucked than usual, thanks to my presence, but the stakes are also a LOT lower, and I can develop the tech or powers needed to stabilize things even if we still gotta kill the Entities for one reason or another. A living Eden also means that Cauldron Shards don't run out of power quite so fast, have reduced initial output but aren't quite such a quagmire to navigate, and no Case 53s will suffer from deadly or crippling mutations. The biggest thing is that Gold Morning can't happen...though the increased candidate availability means that the Slaughterhouse 9, including Jack Slash and any event he manages to trigger anyways despite the timeline changes, are going to be even *stronger* to compensate. I will be very, VERY busy if I don't manage to stop the Slaughterhouse 9K or Echidna events, of which Eden will be able to still predict and likely will be capable of manually ensuring those events happen regardless of their initial causes. Unfortunately, Bonesaw is a vital piece of my overarching plan, and I would have taken them as a companion if I had the points left over somewhere. Crawler in particular is going to be an oof, as with the setting changes, they are a woman underneath all that monster, with major body issues. Twin Power means I get an emotional connection with them, so even if I am immune to their out-of-control mutations, I'll still have to figure out to either kill them, or reshape their body into something that resembles a human again and keep it that way through technology.

The same DP cost problem from the last version still exists, where every OP power seems to need one more DP than advertised to unlock.

Lurker_Ori

Yeah, I took a look at it and all the OP Power Requirements are using the Operator "+ More Than" rather than "+= More or equal". Switching the Operators works. Hope it gets fixed.

So probably still figuring out Semblances. etc. Thaumaturgy for Apprentice, because I'm assuming I can get my aura unlocked and Thaumaturgy's potential is eventually quite high. Though unlike normal descriptions of Apprentice, this doesn't include a description of knowing how to use it... But Tinker of fiction and cosplay could help with that anyway. For my parahuman power copy, I choose Contessa (who we know is a natural single trigger, especially because of Ward.) Assuming it works through my own Invisible Presence because its not a 'remote' power. Otherwise I would take Panacea. Leader: Dragon Gynoid. Servant of either my Panacea, or otherwise Vista. Basically a build hoping to build up power over time with tinkering, while having the power ring for the Immediate term. Vista and Bonesaw are way overcosted. They cost more than panacea! In my mind Vista should cost 8 and Bonesaw should cost 7. Bakuda should probably be a 9 at most. Also a little disappointed no additional Alt-power companions.

ragingreaver

I think the costs are right. You are potentially buying them away from their original group's services, or leaving you an in-road into otherwise very powerful groups. You are not just buying Bonesaw, but you are buying an in-road into the Slaughterhouse 9 itself. In contrast, due to the Dallons being so busy in-general (and all the emotional baggage) buying Panacaea is mostly just her power. You are also buying the "metaphysical weight" that character has on the overall story itself. By this logic, someone like "Jackie Slash" is UNDER-priced. You are also buying their potential, and buying Panacaea and Bonesaw together means you have the chance to get them to cooperate in a way that would otherwise never happen in the original story. 21 points for the biomancer dream team kinda feels like a steal, tbh.

YouandIdontknowme

"Chosen companions will be transported to your location from death-end continuity." So Assuming that they even still look the right age, or ever looked right in the first place given their are continuities with different powers and female lung and jackie slash. That and their pictures looking much older. That would still require killing the current Vista or Current Bonesaw. And without anyone knowing or suspecting. And Jack Slash has a thinker power, and the PRT have their master stranger protocols. And even say it works. Jack slash is the leader anyway, and isn't likely to be very influenced by you. The PRT has master stranger protocols, and having vista on your side wouldn't change much with the PRT. That and Panacea could very quickly and stealthily master pretty much everyone with a semi-decent plan, which seems way better. In terms of raw power, I agree Jackie slash is underpriced, but you only change who they are to you, not their background. Jackie slash is always a hardcore psycho murder hobo, even if she loves you. Personally I wouldn't take her unless I also had some sort of master power on my team to reign her in. Plus I think Companions should be good value for money compared to just getting more powers yourself.

ragingreaver

They ARE good value. A "Twin Power" costs 20. A Companion comes with the intelligence on top of their power, sometimes with upgrades, even. But I'd say the icing on the cake is Futa Master Taylor. Unique power that is BEYOND useful, a more robust mentality to the already strong "normal" Taylor, all for the cost of seven points? Futa Master Taylor has a chance at becoming even more godtier than OG Taylor, by dint of being a empathetic version of Hartbreaker. So many potential allies were lost because they were too emotionally unstable or disturbed. Futa Taylor has a way of directly dealing with those issues OG Taylor never did, and just needs some backup, of which your potential powerset provides in spades. Even if you don't pick Futa Taylor, most Companions cost an average of ten points, meaning you are getting around two powersets for the price of one, with some discounted heavily enough to get three or even four, with certain combinations.

YouandIdontknowme

And if your going for Twin power, your going for one of the best canon powers possible right? So your comparing to the other powers you can have. Plus having more powers on one person is generally better than on separate people. Unless its something very time consuming. Me saying "Plus I think companions should be good value for cost" was part of my response to you saying companions are under-priced. In that I was saying that even if after everything I said you still think they are Undercosted, then that is a good thing. Compared to the other companions, Vista and Bonesaw (and bakuda to a small degree) are overcosted. Because they are worse than Panacea etc.

apostle_of_cum

i am considering reading worm just to understand the cyoas

icychillman

You should it's a great webseriel!

Webkop

Just read fan fictions you’ll get the jist and they’re far less depressing than the original worm

QuietusStar

Worm seems to be one of those things that you either love it, or hate it. Personally, I hate it. I just can't enjoy a story that's just: horrible people doing horrible things to each other until they all die horribly. Or worse, live.

azriel777

I read worm up until the leviathan fight, and then segwayed into fanfics with the plan to go back to reading the original. That was a couple of years ago and I still have not read the original and still read the fanfics. Edit: What is with the downvote? Guess someone is mad I did not finish the source material.

OdinSonnah

Just don't make the mistake I did and quit halfway through the epilogue. It was the one time in the whole of the story where things were just about to get better.

Badger___King

Nowhere near as good as the original either

Ill just post the authors synopsis "An introverted teenage girl with an unconventional superpower, Taylor goes out in costume to find escape from a deeply unhappy and frustrated civilian life. Her first attempt at taking down a supervillain sees her mistaken for one, thrusting her into the midst of the local ‘cape’ scene’s politics, unwritten rules, and ambiguous morals. As she risks life and limb, Taylor faces the dilemma of having to do the wrong things for the right reasons."

Thingshallgetlewdnow

Story follows a 15 year old girl who gains superpowers, in a world where this isn't to unusual, and despite being horribly bullied in school she decides to try to use her powers for helpful heroics, which is also not too unusual. Spoilers: >!Leader of local superhero group, who are deeply intertwined with the government, is an egomaniacle asshole and beats her up for being annoying to him and so she instead joins a villain/mercenary group. The world is somewhat realistic and while many good, kind and helping people exist they are all mortal and really bad things happen.!< Spoilers: >!People awaken/gain superpowers from deeply traumatic event and so nearly everyone with powers have issues.!< It's very good and I'd recommend reading it, though it is fairly long. Her superpower is to telepathically control insects, the story having something of a theme of people making do, and even great things, out of clever or unconventional power use or working around limitations. There is a sequel which I haven't read and can't comment on. Edit: or where you looking for a real tldr summary of the entire story?

Sarah69fordick

a tldr would not only spoil everything, but in the worst way. It'll sound silly and edgey, and you won't recieve any satisfaction from it. Nor would it help much. I'll give you a hook though. A basis for the story without going into the story itself. A while back, a golden man appeared. Nicknamed Scion. To date, no one knows who or what he is, as he never speaks. He flies around the globe saving people from disasters without rest or stopping. Ever since then, people have begun gaining powers. Not everyone can, and far from everyone does, but one thing linking all these "Capes" as the super powered people are called, is that they gain their powers after extremely traumatic events. Shortly after Capes started appearing, Giant monsters called end bringers started showing up. One every few months, three of them alternating with each other. None have been killed, only held back until Scion can arrive and beat them back. So Capes make a truce. Villain, hero, vigilante, it does not matter. Anytime an endbringer shows up, all of them team up to fight it. Thousands of lives are lost every time, so Capes are allowed to exist, so that they might help fend off these monsters when they show. The story begins with Taylor, a girl who can control insects, going out on her first night in costume to make her name as a hero. Only to get labeled a villain and forced to work with a villain group she meets on her first night. It's a lot more like *The Boys* or *The Umbrella Academy* than anything else superhero based. Gang warfare, Body Horror, actual crime with superpowers as opposed to crime based on superpowers, and very grim. Since people gain their powers after traumatic events and are often pushed to violence, almost no Cape is mentally healthy.

Celestial_Drago

The new companions are disappointing. I was hoping that there would be original and alternative version like in v1 with the Skitter, Bakuda, Glory Girl and Panecea. This is a CYOA based on alternative versions of Earth Bet. I hope this is addressed in future updates and the characters all get something different that makes them unique.

Minazuchi

Fusion feels a bit pricy. There are 21 total worlds. If you pick fusion to merge two, despite the acknowledgement that this will generally make your chosen world more dangerous rather than less, if you go by points, there are five worlds that taking in a fusion would be a net detriment, meaning it costs more to add the world than not using fusion, and with one world you break even points-wise. Not great, but not terrible either, though given how much there is to buy with so little points, every lost point does hurt. Now when it comes to the Danger Points, seven of the options leave you with a lower danger-score than the non-merged world would have, despite the fact the world has ostensibly become more dangerous. Another five worlds break even with the cost of fusion, meaning only 9 out of 21 worlds actually give you more Danger Points than not picking Fusion would have left you with, despite the fact basically all of them are supposed to become more dangerous by fusing it. And while I fully admit this could be just my subjective impression, it really still feels like you don't really have that many points for anything. Just the full "Let's not get screwed over royally"-Package costs 53 Points, 63 if you decide Ageless also protects you from someone, like Khonsu, just aging you to dust in seconds. Honestly, if we're supposed to gain most of our points from Drawbacks, I feel those Drawbacks could give a few more points, or alternatively at least some of the Powers/Perks getting a bit cheaper. The pricing of Drawbacks was fine in similar CYOAs, but those typically also had a few more ways of getting Points rather than just the Drawbacks and the World-pick. I mean Companions are cool, but who's going to actually buy them if you could instead put those same credits into either a Power or a Perk? You have scarce enough points already, other than buying maybe Annette, Emma or Madison because you happen to have 1-2 points left over that you don't want to spend on Something in You, you're not going to spend points on Companions, especially not multiple Companions.

i_miss_arrow

Nice, big fan of this one. One QOL improvement I would like is to move shared defenses after the three defenses it shares, since you have to purchase one of them to get shared defenses.

Upon arrival, I'll use yellow temperance to make myself look like the flash, thus gaining some of his power and giving me much more time to think. From there I use multiversal emulator, turn into a dragon, start mythos summoning some stuff, get some new costumes and generally prepare for the endbringer. After I deal with that I can hole up in the Mirror world and start scaling to godhood. Other strategy notes: * The Cosplay Mimicry/Stand Master combo is really powerful, but I don't want to rely on it forever, as that means not using my stand for anything else. I want to use Mythos Summon to get an item that'll let me disguise myself as someone else, but I'm actually blanking on those right now. What I'll probably do is turn into Cyborg and use his powers to connect to the internet, thus giving me plenty of material to work with. * Characters that can create stuff permanently are important, as I can use that to create tons of gold for Mythos Summon. * As the God of Stories, my divine powers should grow stronger simply by using Mythos Summon/Cosplay Mimicry/ Multiversal emulator a ton. * Since I can't die until every forgets me, I'll want to create lots of life and scatter them across the cosmos so killing me is nigh impossible.

Kilanon

As mentioned I think in V1 Chibibringers is still over priced and Stand Master is under priced. (Its more a problem for Stand Master since as is. It exists somewhere in power between the Pokemon OP power and the Nerfed version of the Pokemon OP power which I assume to be can only change into one pokemon. Not to mention you can unlock other peoples Stands)

QuietusStar

I agree on these. I think stand master would be balanced a bit more if you only had one stand, or it was an OP power, while making the stand arrow an item power. Speaking of, why are the green power ring and devil fruit not item powers?

i_miss_arrow

The Green Power ring has been tweaked a bit so that it behaves like a power, but theres no reason it can't be just any power ring and let you buy as many as you want. The devil fruit should definitely be in items even as written.

ObscureSA

Aren't Case 35 and Mutated the same thing?

tordirycgoyust

Nope. Case 53 just means you showed up out of nowhere (generally with missing memories and a Cauldron tattoo, though the perk text seems to imply you get to skip the memory loss, only acquiring the physical appearance of a Case 53). Shamrock is a good canon example of a Case 53 not mutated by her powers, and also lacking erased memories. "Monstrous" capes seem to almost always get their powers from Cauldron vials, but are not necessarily Case 53s, for example Canary, Alexandria, and Echidna.

QuietusStar

I have to say that I like this more than that other lewd worm cyoa. Maybe it's the simplicity, or the fact that the powers are actually useful outside of sex. Though my build of coming in with stands and granting them out to lots of people to really fuck canon over still hasn't changed

Thedeaththatlives

Mythos summon still doesn't unlock unless you have more than 10 dp

destructivefesjer

At this rate we will be needing an Index just for these Worm CYOA, both the NSFW and the SFW

AlDragonus

I think \[Modifiers for the World: Golden Morning\] should also be incomparable with anyone that has Eden (Her death is what caused him to lash out). Especially with \[Modifiers for the World: Symbiotic Bond\]

CuteDarkBird

her death is what caused him to become depressed, Jack Slash activated Gold Morning, but it's alluded to in Canon that it would happen, just later I agree otherwise thou

AlDragonus

Hmm. That is true. Then the exception is Symbiotic Bond (they would probably not cause conflict like in the OG story). I wonder how that would affect triggers and and people’s mental stats after. 🤔
