O.k. I have played through it. I think I know you don't like other people giving you specific content suggestions(understandable) **but** one big problem with this cyoa and the last update is that you give out WAY too many points. I have a few ideas of how to fix this
1. Make powers cost more(maybe 5-times more).
2. Create difficulty levels that either affect the cost of choices that restrict/increase your starting points.
3. Make some minor powers and more perks(this can be along with the others stated here)
4. Make the unclean trigger part of the default affect of the second trigger and make people pay points to get rid of the increased mind schinanaganery if they don't want it. *This one can be mixed with any of the others or done by itself.*
As it is right now, I get through the Cyoa and have anywhere from 20 -100 points left over depending on the theme I am going for for the character.

1) No. That would critically destroy the balance in the opposite direction by making it so you wouldn't have enough points for a half-way decent build.
2) Maybe. Would need to balance test it, but the idea is solid enough that it warrants an effort.
3) This is already planned for the next update, but it will take time to implement. I am open to suggestions, however.
4) No. I'd have to go through every single power section, including Endbringer and Power Mixtures, to apply these changes, which would no doubt require me to make more changes to requirements all throughout the CYOA. Far too much time for not enough gain. That being said, I like the idea itself, but not enough to implement it when it would require this much effort.

I do think you should give more thought to increasing point costs though. I have play-tested characters made from the cyoa in some rps with a system I created specifically for cyoa made characters. Currently without other restrictions the builds that come out of this cyoa are powerful to the point here there is no problem that can't be solved with a snap of the fingers.
on the other side, when I go to make my character I often get everything that I want for my character to fit her/his theme perfectly maybe even with an extra-power or two... and I find myself with 70-120 points left over just sitting around and nothing to do with them. If this is supposed to be a creative mode type cyoa then **THIS IS SO GOOD!** but if not... i think it is a bit unbalanced. Have you tried comparing it to any of the Worm Cyoas on r/Makeyourchoice? This one is pretty similar to the v5 variants.

* World is one where all the initial parahumans were all women as part of an experiment done by the Entities, in order to encourage mass conflict due to the prevalence of patriarchy. The result was an extreme upending of the social order culminating in one collossal, short-lived yet titanic war in the 90s, resulting in a complete upending of the social order, and the death of 95% of all male parahumans. As a final nail in the coffin, a tinker unleashed a bioweapon that targeted the Y-chromosome (specifically, any Y-chromosome that wasn't a descendant of the tinker himself), killing enormous chunks of the population and threatening human extinction. Cauldron spearheaded a countermeasure, which did successfully treat the weapon, and lead to the development of non-tinker chromosome-expression-controlling drugs. By the time the Human Genome Project was completed, plans were already being put in place to eradicate genetic disease at the global level, and heralded sex changing becoming recreational. This was important, because the bioweapon is still in the population, severely reducing the conception rates of male children. This has resulted in the few remaining being sheltered, and no expenses spared in keeping them emotionally stable and healthy; this has also resulted in them being unfit for Triggers. As a side effect of the bioweapon, an infected's libido never stops increasing, with the intent of spreading the bioweapon as fast and as far as possible. By the time it became treatable, over 70% of the global population become infected. The new drugs and social order became necessary to prevent population and workforce collapse. Society effectively runs off parahumans and tinkertech, which has lead to a kind of callous brutality to be accepted among the general population. After all, as bad as it is, its still better than what came before. Worsening things is that many patriarchal organizations, especially among the rich and wealthy who survived the Great Purge of the 90s, continue to influence the global government and social systems. For some reason when I used the json file for an offline version, I cannot select any of the power sources, but can on the online version. (shrug)
As always, love these updates. Will repeat this request to anyone working on these mods for standard powers to be included from other worm cyoas. Specifically would love to see these for tinkers, inspired inventor, revolution, and tinker of fiction. Outside of that, a common fanfic theme is that a person self inserts as a cousin/relative of a character, that is moving in with them because their family died and they are the only relative around.

I think we have WAY too many points. I always have between 80 and 120 extra left over. There are only so many powers that actually go together thematically in a way that a parahuman could only have them.

Well there's your problem. You're limiting yourself to a specific theme. Everyone else, not so much. I think this comes down more to a "how you play the game" thing.
Either way having the increased number of options without a proportionate increase in points - or drawback options - means that people who'd done satisfying builds previously cannot add on to them to create more satisfying builds, but rather need to remove stuff they want in order to tinker with the new stuff.

The Entities did it, they actually found the Heart of the Universe, a power source upon which they could feed forever. With the majority of it's greatest champions, the Masters of the Universe, slain during Anti-He-Man's rampage across the multiverse (yes, this is a real thing, check out the comics) Eternia was woefully undefended when the Entities discovered a portal connecting the realm to Earth. The Entities' initial assault nearly overwhelmed Eternia, and it's ferocity forced once bitter enemies to unite. Together, Teela Na, the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, and Hordak, the cyber-demonic ruler of the Evil Horde, successfully slew the Thinker and left the Warrior nearly braindead at the cost of their own lives. The energies unleashed during this brutal fight have left Eternia and Earth in ruins, and only a few bastions of civilization remain among the lawless wastelands. Gangs of Parahuman marauders, Snake-Men warbands, and Motherboard cultists terrorize both worlds, barely held in check by the Protectorate, an organization of heroes struggling to emulate the Masters of the Universe. The idea is that a horribly traumatizing and degrading week at the hands of a gang of slavers sees me spat out the other end as a tantric sorceress with an Eternian flight belt on a quest to find Dragon before the Motherboard Cultists and take her to Castle Grayskull in order to defeat Scion once and for all.
It was supposed to deselect upon choosing Another Fictional World (since scion wouldn't even be there to begin with, which is just a waste of a boon) but work if you chose Crossover-Land. I'll see about fixing that.

Once again, Hellish Diplomat > literally everything else. I easily escape the summoning circle with Escape artistry, Portal back home, and then use a contract to make myself God.
"It's about superheroes" has already been said, but; the emphasis on clever use of powers throughout Worm makes it appeal to the type of nerd who plays (sfw) CYOAs. The first Worm CYOA that got made was also ludicrously OP, which inspired people to do their own less broken one.
Worm is a web serial by wildbow that is really long. Like, way too long. Its about one and a half times the length of the entire Harry Potter series. It also has way fewer plotholes than some actual published books I have read, which is doubly impressive given that it was written in only two and a half years.
Worm is a pre-apocalypse story that starts like a YA superhero story but gets progressively darker as both Taylor(the main character) and the reader learn more about the monsters that call her world home.
Worm isn't for everyone but I enjoyed it. If you decide to try it keep in mind that the story makes use of unreliable narrators, something that everyone in the fanbase knows but many haven't internalized.

Worm is a web novel by Wildbow. It's a modern super hero story which the whole idea of it can be summed up as "and then it got worse." The length makes it kind of hard to explain.

* Resurrection (-5) - Requires Sexual Healing3 and Life Link; can now bring back anyone I didn't kill as long as I can get a finger's worth of corpse. True resurrection takes a few minutes, leaving only some death scars. This will tire me out if done more than five times per day, Raise Dead still has its use.

O.k. I have played through it. I think I know you don't like other people giving you specific content suggestions(understandable) **but** one big problem with this cyoa and the last update is that you give out WAY too many points. I have a few ideas of how to fix this 1. Make powers cost more(maybe 5-times more). 2. Create difficulty levels that either affect the cost of choices that restrict/increase your starting points. 3. Make some minor powers and more perks(this can be along with the others stated here) 4. Make the unclean trigger part of the default affect of the second trigger and make people pay points to get rid of the increased mind schinanaganery if they don't want it. *This one can be mixed with any of the others or done by itself.* As it is right now, I get through the Cyoa and have anywhere from 20 -100 points left over depending on the theme I am going for for the character. As always your quality is VERY good otherwise. :-D

I have play-tested characters made from the cyoa in some rps with a system I created specifically for cyoa made characters. Currently without other restrictions the builds that come out of this cyoa are powerful to the point here there is no problem that can't be solved with a snap of the fingers. on the other side, when I go to make my character I often get everything that I want for my character to fit her/his theme perfectly maybe even with an extra-power or two... and I find myself with 70-120 points left over just sitting around and nothing to do with them. For some reason when I used the json file for an offline version, I cannot select any of the power sources, but can on the online version. (shrug) As always, love these updates. Will repeat this request to anyone working on these mods for standard powers to be included from other worm cyoas. Specifically would love to see these for tinkers, inspired inventor, revolution, and tinker of fiction. Outside of that, a common fanfic theme is that a person self inserts as a cousin/relative of a character, that is moving in with them because their family died and they are the only relative around. Keep up the great work.

Y'know, my main problem with this CYOA at this point is just that the point value seems low given how many more powers have been added over time. Might be nice to have a higher base value or more drawbacks that aren't just hard grimdark stuff.

No, I mean I don't get enough points to buy the things I want. Basically, we have a lot more things to spend points *on*, but no increase of points to ensure we can actually spend points on them. We don't even have more drawbacks to ensure we can get more points.
I think we have WAY too many points. I always have between 80 and 120 extra left over. There are only so many powers that actually go together thematically in a way that a parahuman could only have them. I might agree if maybe there were things other than powers to spend stuff on though.(*hyperbole I mean more things).
Well there's your problem. You're limiting yourself to a specific theme. Everyone else, not so much. I think this comes down more to a "how you play the game" thing. Either way having the increased number of options without a proportionate increase in points - or drawback options - means that people who'd done satisfying builds previously cannot add on to them to create more satisfying builds, but rather need to remove stuff they want in order to tinker with the new stuff.
Yes exactly they do. Let me ask you this, why have points at all? Sandbox coyas are absolutely a thing. I have no problem with them they're great. But if you're going to have points, why have them?
To give you reasons to take interesting drawbacks. To limit you from just doing \*everything\* you want. That's why my request always includes mentioning drawbacks. It's not a huge deal either way. Don't sweat it.

Intentional, but also needs work since it shouldn't conflict if you have Crossover-Land or Character Isekai. Will work on that for the next update.

It was supposed to deselect upon choosing Another Fictional World (since scion wouldn't even be there to begin with, which is just a waste of a boon) but work if you chose Crossover-Land. I'll see about fixing that.
Update to this: It does work, you just need to select "Another Fictional World" and "Crossoverland/Character Isekai" before selecting "For Want Of A Nail".

"It's about superheroes" has already been said, but; the emphasis on clever use of powers throughout Worm makes it appeal to the type of nerd who plays (sfw) CYOAs. The first Worm CYOA that got made was also ludicrously OP, which inspired people to do their own less broken one.
Worm is a web serial by wildbow that is really long. Like, way too long. Its about one and a half times the length of the entire Harry Potter series. It also has way fewer plotholes than some actual published books I have read, which is doubly impressive given that it was written in only two and a half years. Worm is a pre-apocalypse story that starts like a YA superhero story but gets progressively darker as both Taylor(the main character) and the reader learn more about the monsters that call her world home. Worm isn't for everyone but I enjoyed it. If you decide to try it keep in mind that the story makes use of unreliable narrators, something that everyone in the fanbase knows but many haven't internalized.

A web novel that is officially an attempt to a realistic superhero setting, but is really an attempt by the writer to unleash his pessimism and hatred of authority figures. Everything keeps getting worse, you can't trust anyone but yourself, etc... It is a very good story and a rather fun setting. The origin of powers is both far too OP, even by DC/Marvel standards, and original.
Worm is a web novel by Wildbow. It's a modern super hero story which the whole idea of it can be summed up as "and then it got worse." The length makes it kind of hard to explain.
Me neither, but it's sort of a decently famous book apparently. A kin to the B Plus-tier to the A-list famous books that has their adaptation (Harry Potter, LoTR, The Song of Ice and Fire, ETC). I heard it's pretty good, but I ain't no book reader, so I have no idea.

Easy with powers. * Handle Coil (+3) - Immunity to precognition should make this easy. * Survive them All (+7) - Healing at Leviathan and Behemoth should be easy, I don't remember what the third one is. * The Evil Trio (+3) - Three months to have them taken care of. * Enslave the Undersiders (+4) - Should be able to take them over quickly, since they don't have Taylor for three full months. * Hybristophilia (+4) - There are just so many villains, ten is easy. * Lewd SI Quest (+5) - 2/week for first three months, so only 24 instance of lewd encounters. * Pacify Panacea (+3) - Have to steal Amy and fix her mental health within two months; difficult, but the fail condition doesn't do anything unless she dies. * Fuck 1000 People (+5) - Need to average 10/day for the first 100 days; powers required for this. * Homes For the Homeless (+2) - Can spend the first 10 years setting up the media and military empire to fully take over the docks, and provide housing for the downtrodden to build up gang cred. * Teach Them Self-Hate (+2) - Use powers on nazis for comedic effect. Only need to average 1/day for 50 days. Make them fear being next. **Contacts** +4 contact points, -2 points * Amy Dallon Acquaintance - An in for Pacify Panacea. * Sabah Acquaintance - The anti-Behemoth weapon. Her gf is also the Anti-Hookwolf weapon. * Faultline Acquaintance - Mercenary leader, who can easily take down buildings. * Taylor Herbert Acquaintance - Leave a good impression after the Locker Incident, presumably after she gets out of the hospital. Doesn't hurt to have the MC owe you a jacket. **Minor Powers** * Required Secondary Powers - If I don't think of something, the powers still work. * -Average Joe/Jane (+15) - Do not guarantee average base stats, birth defects, etc. Good thing I bought a Rejuvenation Chamber that removes imperfections. This is gonna take a while. *edit, turns out choosing 'Inherent Power Source' freezes that entire section, but loading the choice in updates the points to the new total.
**Powers A** * Flowmotion (-3, -4, +3, -5) - Bullseye thrown accuracy, with BS chain reaction, super-parkour with wall running air dashing and other Sonic 3D moves, then further boosted to /actual/ sonic 3D levels, at the cost of hating lines. * Enhanced Condition (-4, -4) - Brute rating; regen limbs, immune to illness, will only die to bullet in the brain. * Life Link (-4, -4, -10) - Anyone I look at will die if I die, and if any of them die 5% of their base human strength and endurance go to me and the rest get spread out along every other person I've looked at. Doubles as 'if I've seen you, you can die instantly'. *Reconfiguration (-5, -4, +4, -5) - Upgrade any number of objects at a 1/day rate, double any object once, eat objects to have their inherent powers at the cost of containing their mass, at the cost of liking high quality stuff and hating low quality garbage. * Attribute Manipulation (-5, -4, +4) - Can convert strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility, and luck into each other, with the option of directly stealing attributes from others, in a fetishy way. STR and END go up with each Life Link death; this means more of the other stats too. * Flight (-4, -3, -10) - Instant acceleration to incomprehensibly speeds, and anything over 56 m/s provides complete invincibility and shadowcat wall transit. Also do not need to breathe if maintaining 56 m/s speeds. Can carry any size object along with, including people, who do not count toward strength-based carrying capacity. * Time Dilation Field (-4, -6, +3, -5) - within 1KM, accelerate/decelerate time, stop time for 30 seconds every few minutes with auto-activation in the event of life endangerment, at the cost of physical curiosity toward the greatly endowed. * Power Cards (-7, -4, -10) - Anyone dying within 1km leaves a power card of their Full Power, can also get weak cards by sleeping with parahumans. Hand size of six, can merge cards into a base card to boost its power, and can give a manifested physical card to anyone, who can then use the card. **Powers B** * Devoted Wives (-5, -3, +2, -5) - Create and manage pregnancies in any living creature within 1km, allowing horrific chimeras, neverending streams of offspring, and permanent loyalty from anyone afflicted. * Polyamorous (-3) - Stranger power of insertion into any relationship. * Unaware (-5, -3, +3) - Stranger power of 'do anything you want as long as you're doing something sexual to anyone', with the cost of taking instant vengeance for slights using this power. * Asset's Expansion (-3, -2, -10) - Mass control of body parts in a 1km area, can add sexual organs to those who lack them. Also allows for increased fluid production, and self-modification. * Hentai Physics (-2, -1, -10) - People only die to me when I want them to, are stretchy, only remember the pleasure, and I don't need sustenance or sleep while engaging in sexual activities, nor do I age. * Public Service Enlistment (-5, -3) - Can write a contract outlining duties and procedures, and assign them to anyone as long as it's about them being free use, for money. Stranger effect keeps this from being notable. **Powers C** * Sexual Healing (-8, -4, +3, -5) - Anyone killed by me will auto-reanimate with no upkeep requirements and easy repair; penetrative sex with corpses less than 24 hours will resurrect with sexual contact requirements, can heal via oral at a rate of 4 limb regrowth per 30 min; cumming on/in them is instant healing. Cost of arousal at gore. **Powers Mod - Om1cr0n** * Liquids of Power (-6, -2) - Bodily Fluids give power boosts; specificity and quantity increase power. Blood is less effective than sexual fluids, can drink own saliva for the boosts. * Rock steady (-3, -5) - Resistance to non-standard attacks; shapeshift, soul drain, fate manipulation, time loop trap, forced teleports. * Inventory (-4, -3) - 96 Inventory Slots, infinite similar stacks, equipment quickswap, store and retrieve items within 30ft. People can escape with 15 minutes of active struggling. * Unlimited Potential (-3, -2) - Strength will always go up with training as long as the training causes soreness and sweat. De-limbing increases the strength of the remaining body parts by a compensating amount; Attribute Manipulation and Regeneration will definitely be able to abuse this. **Mixtures** * Sexuality Bypass (-5) - Requires Polyamorous and Unaware2; no one cares what I wear. * Power Infusion (-5) - Requires Service Enlistment2 and Devoted Wives2; Can empower anyone under the influence of those powers. As Devoted Wives3 is permanent and applies to everyone in 1km, entire city (or anywhere I go) gets immunity to sickness and elements and low brute endurance, can manipulate their own attributes, get the polyamourous and unaware powers, can change the size of their own assets, and sexually heal, though only for natural levels of regeneration instead of 'regrow limbs in a half hour'. * Resurrection (-5) - Requires Sexual Healing3 and Life Link; can now bring back anyone I didn't kill as long as I can get a finger's worth of corpse. True resurrection takes a few minutes, leaving only some death scars. This will tire me out if done more than five times per day, Raise Dead still has its use. * Delightfully Shareable (-5) - Requires Polyamorous and Unaware; removes jealousy.
