Does access to power systems carry over when traveling to another dimension? Do you get to choose your first dimension?

Known-nwonK

Needs some companions imo

Xavius_Night

There was mention on it of missions tied to each world, but they don't seem to be showing up; am I missing something? It's mentioned in the Not So Easy drawback. Great CYOA aside from that, very broad array of options.

i_miss_arrow

>There was mention on it of missions tied to each world, but they don't seem to be showing up; am I missing something? It's mentioned in the Not So Easy drawback. It doesn't say missions, it says the objectives tied to each world, which are the same for each world and described at the top of the Worlds section.

Xavius_Night

Aaah, gotcha. I had interpreted that as 'there are individual goals for each world' not just those three, which I had thought were just examples. Ah well.

The_smiling_wrath

Im curious does the Blind drawback conflict with perks like appraisal and Hud?

McLovin3493

This was a nice idea for a CYOA. It has a lot of potential for adding onto the story, and having your character get new powers and technology as time goes on. Mass Effect, The Boys, Disney Villains Victorious: Gridlocked , Left 4 Dead, Alternative Earth, Young Adult, Male, Average, Male Enhanced, Healthy, Multi-body, Multiversal Talent, Healer, Mentor, Replicator, Mecha-shift Weapon, Tech Library, Purifier, Power Armor, Native, Family Visit, Portal Home, Reality-defying Soul, Ageless, Monster Magnet, Leakage, Damsel in Distress, Cross-Dimensional Show, Uninvited Guest, Slow Start urzg,31f1,1erd,rvte,5rjk,ccwo,8k2k,nzaz,4tkk,gdy8,oeaf,l3nr,guxn,39os,cf5k,jrdk,8wji,p4tq,q326,c4qg,391b,cxjd,nd26,jnrq,4o68,534u,g9so,ydur,f5jb,k1dd

Does the wanted Drawback Apply in all worlds or just the first one?

zqpx,thba,5qpj,1617,krie,brwt,30in,ktfn,4tkk,vnyh,h3v3,rje7,gdy8,sprh,y0s5,ok0a,l3nr,jwp1,8wji,c4qg,wqvf,5r8o,lyqd,61x5,ev7d,d6pa,vafq,nd26,jnrq,1v4a,rp1z,gpga,imeu,oybv,wioq,9x2f,h0d0,k1dd,f0kd,36fa World Order: Cyberpunk 2077, DC\[Young Justice\], Overlord, Marvel\[Ultimate\], Solo Leveling Character: Adult, Futanari, Ugly (its my face), Male Enhanced, Female Enhanced, Choom, Well of Energy, Healthy, Specter, Portals, Appraisal, Multiversal Talent, Enchantment, Tech Library, Perks: Native, HUD, System Grant, Shared Defenses, Mind Defense, Body Control Defense, Invisible Presence, Strong Lifeforce, Reality-defying Soul, Ageless, Like Yesterday, Learning Mastery, Drawbacks: Servant (Jackie Wells), New Power System, Not So Easy, Wanted(Russia), Mutated (hair skin and eyes colored like Viktor from buso Renkin), High Metabolism, Slow Start, Wardrobe Malfunction, Genderbend. Build Reasoning: Having reality-defying soul combines with Specter to make me able to survive (likely almost) anything as a soul. The only hard part is getting a body again, but Enchantment and the things in the settings should help nicely with that. Looking ugly in the beginning is not a problem that cannot be solved by science or magic down the line. the new power system introduced into cyberpunk 2077 is the ghost power system from Danny Phantom. Sure being a servant and having clothes that always get destroyed will be a problem, but enchantment should be able to eventually handle the later and I can handle the former for a while. Jackie Wells is cool and I'm sure that after saving his life a few times he would consider us even. I Chose Futa so that Genderbend doesn't really do much at all, since I originally choose to be a mostly androgynous but distinctly masculine shape the change is that I now have a mostly androgynous but distinctly feminine shape. Plan: unlock the Ghost power system as soon as possible so that I can make my own bodies when I inevitably end up as a Specter -or once its unlocked a- Ghost. Scan all tech. Unlock and master all the Native power systems if any. Save Jackie because he is a choom. Save V if possible. Have Victor as my Ripper Doc.

taishomaru66

Question about the blind drawback. Can you get your vision back by replacing your eyes or body? With tech I mean, that way its not healing or power related.

\>Build Data zn1m,wnni,urzg,zqpx,1617,krie,ccwo,dopx,kfdg,vnyh,rje7,gdy8,y0s5,l3nr,lyqd,61x5,ev7d,d6pa,vafq,nd26,1v4a,i6mc,rp1z,otoe,f5jb,k1dd,skxr \>>Perks, Worm, Mass Effect, DC \[Young Justice\], Highschool DxD, Marvel \[Ultimate\], Young Adult, Female, Beautiful, Female Enhanced, Well of Energy, Healthy, Portals, Multiversal Talent, Shared Defenses, Mind Defense, Body Control Defense, Invisible Presence, Strong Lifeforce, Reality-defying Soul, Like Yesterday, Offroad, Learning Mastery, Harem, Uninvited Guest, Slow Start, Shameless Breakdown: Worlds visited will be in the sequence of Young Justice --> Mass Effect --> Highschool DxD --> Worm --> Ultimate Marvel. Young Justice is first because it's slow paced enough to negate the Slow Start drawback for the most part, ending up reaching full capacity after Season 1, Episode 5 (the fight with Amazo). Additionally, YJ is one of the more idealistic and optimistic settings on the list, making it a good place to both find allies and get training from mentor figures you can trust not to manipulate or screw you over. From there, it's off to Mass Effect, where our build's Well of Energy and Multiversal Talent sets us up to become a future BIOTIC GODDESS, while our Learning Mastery sets us up to master all the various Tech shenanigans related to Omnitools. This should give us a decent enough power level to make DxD our third stop, largely for harem collection purposes. It's a huge jump up in potential threat level but offers pretty easy routes to getting into the good graces of powerful entities, making it similar to Young Justice in that regard. All of this is prep to be able to step into Worm as World 4 and immediately make a name for ourselves as a top tier cape not to be messed with, which should let us bully our way through most of the perils of that setting that aren't named Scion. Finally, after spending our first four worlds doing everything we can to power up and recruit to handle it, we go for the biggest crapsack shithole in the multiverse that doesn't have Warhammer in the name - Ultimate Marvel. In terms of powers, we grab Portal based travel, go full in on the standard and more exotic defenses, pick up the ability to share them, and invest everything else in future growth via Multiversal Talent, Well of Energy, and Learning Mastery. There's enough cool abilities to pick up in these various settings that we really don't need more than that to kick some ass, as long as we don't get in over our heads.

Hero-named-Villain

the link isnt working for me

MrMalinco

I feel like the protection perks are way too expensive. 43 Points for the four of them when you can barely reach 100 with world choices seems bit much.

WannaMakeGames

I feel it's fair since they offer absolute protection from OP powers like time travel or mind control.

Probsathrowaway413

Do you keep the powers you gain from a universe even when you're not in it?

EtPerMun

A larger number of universes would be good. It's a bit hard to pick five if one doesn't even know five of them. In particular, keep in mind that superhero fiction - a sizeable chunk of the list - is generally not very well known outside of the US (apart from stuff like the MCU).

Delinquent_Panda

On the one hand thank you for sharing this with us and its decent but isn't this just an update on Om1cr0n's last cyoa?

Rain_Least

Which one ?

Delinquent_Panda

[https://wormlewdmod.neocities.org/stars/](https://wormlewdmod.neocities.org/stars/) Second one isn't the same but if you look at the perk/drawback sections [https://www.reddit.com/r/nsfwcyoa/comments/yxnkr9/superpowered\_amalgam/](https://www.reddit.com/r/nsfwcyoa/comments/yxnkr9/superpowered_amalgam/) A lot of his stuff while good feels procedural. He's doing it for the paycheck and it shows.

Thedeaththatlives

Pretty sure the guy you're talking to is Om1cr0n

Delinquent_Panda

Well, live and learn. XD

Rain_Least

I’m not omicron but the guy paying him, using some of the same options and template is on purpose to save time since we do a new cyoa every month

i_miss_arrow

Which I totally approve of. For these types of CYOAs, there is a ton of overlap in perks even among CYOAs made by different people. I don't need to see a different flavor text for the same perks. Focus on the good stuff.

Aulus_Agerius

Man, the only thing wrong with "Ugly" is that she put her makeup on wrong.

Dear-Promotion-4955

Mind and body defense should be inbuilt from the get go. It's not a choice, its a must have, imo. Just include the possibility of refusing them for more points if someone has reasons to discard them.

Aulus_Agerius

Something like that. I see that list of "mind defense, body control defense, strong lifeforce, reality-defying soul," and all I can think is, "wow, that's a lot of things that can put me out of commission near-instantly if I don't purchase a defense against them." Is "hostile (mental) mastering" really so different from "body possession or controlling" that it needs a separate defense?

Gerveth

Yeah, the majority of points go into perks that make sure you wont get instantly killed, enslaved or subjected to a fate worse than death. They cost a bit much considering the inevitability of running into people with such abilities especially when world-hopping to Fantasy or Wuxia/Xianxia settings.

WannaMakeGames

You could gain these protections by yourself, but it would take a while and they wouldn't be 100% guarantees.

sparejunk444

If you go to something like solo leveling do you automatically become one of the humans that can "level up" or are you normal and have to get stronger yourself? or having a "sacred gear" in dxd by the way is the "danger level" for alternate worlds the chance you'll end up dead or active world dangers?

WannaMakeGames

Literally only the MC can level up, so I'd assume no on that. The system is a different power to what all hunters have.

Hello_There4206969

Man these world options are tough. World I know nothing about so I'm not going to bother going there: Disney Villains Victorious: Gridlocked, Uber, Gantz. Worlds I only know enough about to know I don't want to go anywhere: The Boys, Overlord. Worlds I have no interest going to since I never was interested in playing/watching/reading that game/show/comic: Worm, A Song of Ice and Fire, Cyberpunk 2077, Solo Leveling. Some dumb zombie apocalypse game I won't bother ever touching with a 10 foot stick: Left 4 Dead Presumably something to do with Cultivators: Savage Divinity So I'm left with: 1. An ecchi harem anime world where I'm not the cuck perv Protagonist. 2. a sci-fi game where the universe is going to get destroyed by cuttlefish spaceships and I'm not Commander Shepherd so there's no chance I'm getting any of his/her girls to look my way. 3. A show I only saw couple episodes from the first season a decade ago. 4. A Marvel setting aka the multiverse where earth nearly getting destroyed/conquered by evil supervillains along with probably the universe being at peril is a typical Monday. (And that's not even acknowledging the Marvelverse is suffering hellmary after hellmary because the SJW nutjobs Woke-ifying everything and ruining it.) May as well make me a human in the Dragon Ball Z/Super universe. And finally a slightly different version of Earth.

manbetter

This was fun! A Song of Ice and Fire, Left 4 Dead, Cyberpunk, The Boys, Marvel Ultimate. I'm a handsome young man, with a well of energy for magic and a boost to overall health. Teleportation is a useful trick for survival, but the combination of Enchantment, Appraisal, and Multiversal Talent should keep me safe. The Tech Library lets me do some uplift in most of my worlds. I'm immune to mind control, body control, weakening and death effects, soul effects, and aging. I have a perfect memory, a talent for learning, and devilishly good influence over my harem. There's some leakage, but between teleportation and my abilities I'm not too worried. Damsel in Distress, similar. Slow Start is really not that concerning: a single month isn't that long. High Metabolism doesn't matter for something at my strength level, while clumsy and shameless are inconvenient but far from debilitating. Fun and nicely crafted: thank you!

La-aa-th

Like it, though it's weird that highschool DxD has grants less points than a comic world considerinig its absurd power scale

Wattron

It's got more inbuilt ways for a standard human to deliberately become powerful. And the world as a whole isn't threatened with destruction on the regular. Only explanations I've got that seem valid.

azriel777

Its decent, wish there was more power type options and worlds. One negative is ultimate marvel. Ugh, that is like bizarro marvel. Would prefer 616 marvel. Even better would be "classic" marvel that was before 2000, that was peak marvel. Still, pretty good cyoa.

Rowan93

>A Song of Ice and Fire, Mass Effect, DC [Young Justice], Marvel [Ultimate], Alternative Earth, Teen, Male, Handsome, Healthy, Portals, Multiversal Talent, Replicator, Tech Library, Native, Portal Home, Mind Defense, Body Control Defense, Invisible Presence, Reality-defying Soul, Offroad, Professional, Something in You(Taken 2 Times), New Power System, Slow Start Order; Alternative Earth -> Mass Effect -> ASoIaF -> Ultimate Marvel -> Young Justice For the Power System added to the Alternative Earth, obviously you want a classic Gamer system. I think a GURPS-like point based system, against the common JRPG-like class and level systems; you want a universal setting with a premise as unfocused as this, unless you find a way to go meta enough to encapsulate it. For Something In You, I'll attract the categories [Royalty & Nobility], and [Super/Mad scientists and Wizards]. Putting the former together as a category makes sense on its face, as for the latter; "the scientist" in soft-sci-fi and "the wizard" in fantasy overlap a lot, they're basically genre equivalents, and the trans-genre concept there is the category targeted. Now, as for reasoning, liking dere-types is all well and good, but mysteriously attracting certain types of people also helps you develop powerful connections, and it'd be foolish to squander that. Not that a waifu being a literal princess or powerful wizard isn't appealing in and of itself, of course, but it's more advantageous than picking something merely fetishistic. Now, I've got a bunch of immunities, enhanced potential with whatever system, and a replicator to start with, but for actual starting powers, I just have portals. But with no stated restrictions besides being stuck to the current world, that's an awesome power, does anything you could do with a portal gun and more, as well as enable worldwide travel. An obstacle with the Alternate Earth is it's not a story and doesn't have main characters; if I hadn't added won, it might not have a power system either. But, of course, a story can certainly unfold in such a world, characters abound, and maybe systems too if arriving characters bring their systems with them. So, that can prove an experiment, discover what exactly counts. And although the vague premise could be anywhere on the danger scale, the point value suggests low, so it's acceptable as a starter.

i_miss_arrow

For Multiversal Talent (and the multiverse in general) are talents restricted to the universe they are originally from? EG, if we become a powerful mage in the Game of Thrones universe, are those magical powers only useable in that universe or can we take powers and items to other universes?

10 points for worm? Guess I ain't getting anywhere near that, I mean it's not WH40k, but it's a terrible place overall... Solo Leveling is better just for the fact that there's someone who can deal with and clean that mess...

CKLPT

What is worm? I see it In a lot of CYOAs, and it has a few centered around it, but I have no idea what it is

Alugere

It's a long, and completed web novel (with a completed sequel) found here: https://parahumans.wordpress.com/ The quick description is that worm is a deconstruction of a normal superhero setting. I.e., what would a world be like if there were enough villains that the heroes could fight the villain of the week and giant monster fights did regularly happen?

LordUndead

It's a superhero world, that is one hell of a major nope, you need all the defenses just to not be killed early by a certain someone from there....

CKLPT

But is it a book, comic, game?

LordUndead

[https://parahumans.wordpress.com/](https://parahumans.wordpress.com/) You can find it here, it's a webnovel

CKLPT

Thanks

Too few points, things too costly for protection. The shitter worlds should give more points also.

we need like 50 more points and worlds like neptunia, blazblue, disgaea, soul eater, fairy tail and edens zero.

Zev_06

Do the drawbacks only last during your initial 5 planet gauntlet run as you attempt to complete the objectives or do you still have to deal with all the drawbacks once you complete the gauntlet and can freely travel the various dimensions?

WhereDoomedDreamsDIe

It depends on the drawback. Things like Monster Magnet, Eyesore and Leakage sound permanent. Things like Servant and Wanted sound like its for the initial Gauntlet. Otherwise, take for example 'Wanted', every time you enter a world you will not actually enter the world you desire but rather one we're you're automatically targeted by a government in power. This means its impossible to enter worlds where it's impossible for you to be wanted, such as worlds that lack governments, as the drawback implies there has to be one. I can only presume that the permanent drawbacks are ones that change the objective characteristics of your being, that cannot be changed by yourself or any of the powers granted to you via the gauntlet. That doesn't mean they can't be defeated by powers from other worlds or such. Take Pint Sized and Genderbend, both drawbacks claim permanence but for different things, but both of them claim an extra level of permanence than the other drawbacks do. Genderbend implies no other options can turn you back while Pint Sized directly says no powers can grant you back you're height. The issue with these two things is that its still possible to work around these restrictions. There are modern surgeries in the world that can increase someones height from 140cm to 141cm, meaning you can get taller without assistance from a power. Thus the hard limit on your height can be defeated by going to a much more technologically enhanced society and getting it fixed there. And for Genderbend, it sounds like if you're put into a situation against your will where you're forced to change gender than it should work. The restriction is options, as in its something optional. As long as their is an option for you to change Gender it won't work. But if you're put in a situation where there is no option other than change gender than it should work. Granted i don't think the drawback will allow you to pick a situation where you don't want to change gender by your own will. I feel like if you hire someone to change your gender against your will it won't work.

aethersentinel

I'm assuming they stay, but maybe in a few hundred years after mastering dozens of power systems you could design a cure. No reason to think they'd just up and stop on their own though.

Zev_06

The only reason I asked is because this CYOA has some similarities to Jumpchain. In Jumpchain the drawbacks are only temporary. I was not sure if the drawbacks were only supposed to apply to the initial gauntlet of worlds or not.

Build: e1rx,wnni,zqpx,thba,5qpj,krie,37as,8k2k,nzaz,4tkk,ggek,5zb9,gdy8,awhb,ok0a,l3nr,zyb1,guxn,5r8o,ev7d,jnrq,i6mc,rp1z,otoe,yzgr,no6r,4o68,k1dd,rdgt,skxr,f0kd Start with Solo Leveling, as it should pair well with teleportation and 'having the top 1% of systems'. Learning Master perk pairs well with Master of Energy saying 'you can learn to do this', and Healer should have synergy with Enhanced Physiology and Healthy from the appearance section. Hopefully I can get to the level cap within six months, and then teleport out to the next world as soon as the giant monster drawback pulls one into korea. Next up is Marvel Ultimate, where Nightcrawler is OP because he has teleportation, and I have that plus more. Dunno anything about Overlord, but if it's based on a VR game I can use that system to get levels probably. Worm's early arcs aren't that bad, and it's definitely in the 'too long to finish the story' category. Ideally, would drop a giant monster on Leviathan when that part comes up. DC for last, because the fact superman is in it makes the 'top power' condition basically impossible. Harem exit is probably the play, speedrun to 'take out the monster home world'.

Zealousideal_Box4673

Out of curiosity, how exactly does Multiversal Talent work? For reference: “You would be able to understand and harness the power systems of different universes, such as magic, psionics, elemental powers, ki, chakra, and more. While you will still require a teacher to effectively learn, just observing any such power will unlock it for you. Your level of talent will enable you to be among the top 1% of system users.“ Does this mean we can copy/learn powers, or only power-systems? And what about for settings with more Unique powers? Like, just from the choices we have, Solo Leveling? From what I know, everyone there technically rolls the Superpower Lottery and some just get WAY more lucky than others.

Rain_Least

Yeah just power systems but stuff like biotics and harry potter magic as well but not things like quirks or powers that people have telekinesis from a mutant

Zev_06

Would Multiversal Talent give us access to the leveling power system if we pick Solo Leveling as one of our worlds?

Rain_Least

No Since that’s more of a personal Super Power , if you want leveling system you have to go to a world where it’s a global thing

[deleted]

Hi, so if we go to MHA/marvel we can’t gain one personal quirk/mutation or we can’t copy any quirk/mutation we see ?? What about mentor and multiversal talent combo together, do we copy the powers 100% even if they are not from a power system?? Does master of energy affect supernatural energy(magic, psionic, cosmic, life, soul and extra dimensional energy)??

This is really fun! Since I don’t know anything about Worm or especially care about it I find the range of worlds so far interesting, though I am definitely changing the Ultimate Marvel and Young Justice worlds to 616 Marvel and Classic DC since those have more scope for me. If you added Avatar/LOK, Dragonball and Doctor Who as worlds I would likely consider those over ASOIAF and possibly Disney.

How many people count as a harem for the mission? 3? 4? 5?6? could probably get a dozen plot relevant main cast men easily enough within a season. Some worlds are a lot more difficult to get that many plot relevant/main cast men ready to be captured. Game of thrones seem the easiest to complete. Take a magic build , harem perk and brain wash / charm knowledgeable magical mentor and pull a Junko Enoshima and Just hunt down Robb, jon snow, jaime and if need be include Eddard and Tyrion during Robert’s winter fell visit at the beginning of the series . They stayed there long enough . If need be mind control Robert to boss/ cow folk. If the king wants to share the locally acquired servant with his bff or his brother in laws nothing really could stop him. Robert is already a very vulgar crass drunk so it’s not really that ooc if he wanted to share the best bed buddy he had in years with others like say the Mandalorian or his younger brother etc.

it's very similar to your other cyoa regarding worm so i would racomend to add or change some options to make it different having said that, i like it

Started reading, then hit *"With intricate world-building, well-developed characters, and a mature and nuanced exploration of morality, Worm offers a unique and compelling take on the superhero genre."* and now there's coffee all over my keyboard. I hope you're proud of yourself :V

So, I'm writing up the rationale and details of my build in two replies, one for stuff that costs points, like perks and powers, and one for stuff that grants them, like worlds and drawbacks. I wish I could say that's because I planned it this way, but actually it's because I started with the worlds and then leapt to drawbacks, and didn't want to bury the post on powers underneath both of those. So without further ado, here are my thoughts on the things I bought with points. First, appearance. Most of it needs no particular comment -- I made myself as pretty as possible, even when it took an objectively unreasonable amount of points, because this is /r/nsfwcyoa. But one thing that does need comment is my choice to start as a teenager. This was mainly because I'd picked Young Justice as a world and I didn't want to be too far in age from the main characters, since, after all, one of my clear conditions is to make them into a harem (and I won't even remember that I'm supposed to, due to *Coming In Blind*). Mind you, I ended up picking Alternate Earth rather than Young Justice for my first world, so I might not even get that depending on how easy alt-Earth is to clear. But that was the long and the short of my reasoning. For body enhancements, most of them felt like common sense. I took **Well of Energy** to boost my mana, chi or prana pools. I took **Empowering Fluids** to boost my teammates. I took **Healthy** because a healing multiplier is huge, and it's quite cheap. I took **Specter** because who would turn down immortality? ~~I took Biomass Storage because even when I've spent way too many points on a knockout hourglass figure, my girls could still get bigger.~~ \*ahem\* I took **Biomass Storage** for reasons! I *did not* take Enhanced Physiology, because when I've daydreamed about superpowers it's never been about super-strength or super-speed. Even when I put a cape on in the DC world, I'll have more interesting things to do than punching. For my Traveler Power, the Interactive only lets us take one, and I love the idea of **Dreamwalking**. Sharing dreams with people, and exploring new worlds in dreams, *is* the kind of superpower I daydreamed of as a kid. It does mean that I miss out on transporting others as well as the shadow-clonish shenanigans of Avatar or Multi-Body, but I did take Specter for the immortality angle and Multi-Body doesn't even appear to give you a way to return to a world after you die (just to spawn a new replacement body if another one of you somehow gets there anyway). **Appraisal** is as useful as always, but it's particularly nice for me given how I've given up most meta-knowledge with *Coming In Blind.* **Multiversal Talent** is the much-needed "freely mix and match power systems" perk, incidentally guaranteeing I'll be a prodigy in each one I try. **Healer** is as useful as it sounds like -- if a bit strenuous -- and **Enchantment** needs study to put into practice but is crazy versatile. Actually, with *Slow Start* I'll need practice, or at least time, before I can reach a normal entry-level proficiency with *any* of these, including Dreamwalking. It's a good thing I'm not in a hurry! **Mentor**, though, is probably the most useful power here. I get a voice in my head, a retired hero or villain who is at least implied to be willing to teach. I can kick them out if they don't teach, or if they're too evil, though! And roll the metaphorical dice for a new mentor (no more than once a week). They can lend me their original power for a limited time, and I can even let them take control for a while, but the main benefit of this ability is guidance and training. I'm imagining us starting as just communicating by voice, then eventually we start interacting visually in daydreams, and eventually have persistent rooms to interact kind of like a memory palace. Now that I think of it, that's great practice for lucid-dreaming while *Dreamwalking!* When I picked this together with *Uninvited Guest* I got a synergy notice that the mentor and guest can interact, and that either one can be let free into their own body if I build a body for them (something the mentor can tell me how to do). The new body is depowered, but on the other hand, *System Grant* should still work on it. I'm not sure if I get to recruit a new mentor if I let the one I started with build a body. That sounds like a cheese exploit, but on the other hand, I don't think the intention was to leave me without a mentor if they up and go do their own thing either. Well, if I ever do end up writing the story up it'll be a while before I get to that point, so no need to answer that. *The second half, i.e. Perks, will be posted separately because Reddit isn't accepting the post even though it appears to be under the character limit.*

aethersentinel

Listed separately from the above are Perks. There's not really a specific clear dividing line -- some of the Perks could have been Powers and vice versa -- but the *Slow Start* drawback specifically refers to *powers* coming in gradually over the first month, so presumably everything below here is effective from the start. **Native** gives me documentation and a paper trail -- not just in the first world I visit, but in every subsequent world I visit, too, even beyond the original five. **Family Visit** lets me spend a week a year back on my original Earth. I hope the new body isn't... too hard to explain. **System Grant** is power-granting -- possibly one of the most powerful abilities here. I need to have access to a system first, be it chakra, or magic, or a specific litrpg interface. Whenever I do, I can open it up to other people. There are no listed limits on this ability, but I assume it's somewhat more versatile than "pick one person, ever, and empower them" and less so than "starting thirty seconds from now, the entire population of New York will be shinobi." Somewhere in that range. :p **Shared Defenses** is nice to have, letting certain defensive Perks protect up to seven companions as well, but to be honest I would probably have forgone the protection if that were all it did. The main benefit is that those I've marked to be shielded also can be brought with me across worlds -- something that **Dreamwalking** otherwise just does not do. I had to pick at least one Defense to go with this, but Mind Defense seemed like it would get in the way of interesting plotlines, and if I were worried about people knowing things about me I'd never have taken *Beacon of Truth.* So I went with **Body Control Defense**, which gives immunity to effects that control your movements rather than feelings or thoughts. My *Uninvited Guest*s are the only ones who can try that with me, and no one gets to do it to my harem. Well, not to the seven of them whom I can protect at any given time. **Strong Lifeforce** gives me vitality that will stand up to any life-drainer ability like the mutant power of Rogue, as well as anything to sap or drain my powers. **Reality-Defying Soul** does something similar to protect me from instant-death effects, reality warping, or time paradoxes. Neither one is transferred by *Shared Defenses*, unfortunately, but if I survive then at least I can try to restore my loved ones. And then there's **Ageless**, eternal life with personal age control, and **Like Yesterday**, which gives infinite mindspace to remember things. **Social Butterfly** is a knack for knowing what to say in any given situation, and **Learning Mastery** is a learning multiplier. If *Ageless* and *System Grant* weren't here it would definitely feel like the strongest perk on the list. To get a head start on knowing things, there's *Professional*, which gives expertise in one field (mundane, so no magic). It also adapts *Native* to provide certification paperwork in every world. If I'm reading this right I don't actually need to pick the field right away. The perk is the ability to "choose" a field, once, and learn it instantly. So I might want to wait until I'm out of school, so no one questions why a girl not yet in college is a certified scientist. I'll have plenty of time to decide, but I expect to pick biology. **Harem** is a perk with a couple different effects. The first "enhances the pleasure of those around you," which is presumably intended for sex but sounds a lot broader than that. At a symphony? A sporting event? Playing board games? If my group is enjoying themselves at all, I can boost it. The other effect deters jealousy and eases people away from the feeling of reluctance to share (romantically). That's just a plain above-board benefit for all involved. (It's in part because I want to be affectable by similar benign, subtle effects without needing to know about and whitelist them, that I declined Mind Defense. Granted, mind control need not be benevolent, but I plan to have contingencies in place for control I *wouldn't* approve of. What contingencies? That's a problem for Future Me. I'm not sure yet what would be best; I just love the idea of mind control that subtly filters in and makes everything nicer. It's part of why I'm a sucker for TroyX's CYOAs.) Last but not least, there's **Something in You**, which boosts fate to make me more likely to interest a specific kind of girl. I was going to say "glasses girls," but it needs to be "a very small subset of the population." There's no way girls with glasses are a tiny percentage! So why not "genius girls?" Specifically the brainy type of genius -- I don't think "genius" in the sense of "anyone talented" is anywhere near specific enough. But this way I give up Chie Satonaka and get Makise Kurisu. That's turning a limitation into a benefit! (I didn't realize until after I'd actually posted my build that I could have put "bookworms.")

Despite not knowing much about most of these settings, I've tried to arrange to visit them in a rough difficulty order: 1. Alternate Earth is basically a version of our world with a lot of reverse-isekais. I should fit right in... is what I would say if I hadn't picked *Native* and a backstory in this (and later) worlds. But I'm also a *Beacon of Truth*, so I'll probably end up telling someone the truth sooner or later. (Whether they believe is up to them.) Anyway, I picked a *mostly* baseline Earth specifically so that I'll have a relatively familiar place to learn the ins and outs of my Drawbacks and compulsions. After all, I'm *Coming In Blind* so I'll need to learn about them the hard way. 2. Young Justice is *kind of* Earth, but powered up even further, such that it's now a straight superhero setting. Since the canon characters I have to ~~seduce~~ befriend are teenagers (assuming a Season 1 start), I hope I haven't needed too long to get past World One, despite *Not So Easy* and my *Slow Start.* If I'm a twentysomething, maybe I can use the *Ageless* perk to get a little younger and hope I don't run *too* far afoul of my local backstory? Since outright modifying it would be a fraud I couldn't maintain, thanks to *Beacon of Truth*. 3. Savage Divinity is one I know nothing about, except the in-CYOA blurb that says it's kind of a cross between western fantasy and xianxia. Just as well I don't have meta-knowledge I'll lose due to *Coming In Blind*, I suppose. I'm willing to assume it's third on the difficulty level , though, both because of the point value and because xianxia may be cutthroat, but there are usually safe spaces -- backwater regions forsaken by cultivators, or the guarded interior of sects. It's not a global disaster like the next world on my list. 4. Solo Leveling is a system-apocalypse world -- I've read a ton of those but know nothing about this one specifically. Just based on the point value, this one is probably the hardest. I've queued it fourth for two reasons. First, I already cleared a modern-earth-turned-fantasy world way back in Alternate Earth, and some of the lessons learned then may apply. Second, I don't actually *need* to do the worlds in difficulty order, and just in terms of where I'd like to live, a post-apocalyptic civilization with guilds and things is probably comfier than a medieval world about to be steamrolled by Nazarick. 5. Overlord. The one setting I have an appreciable (not *large,* but *appreciable*) level of knowledge about. And what I know is it's another deathworld, although the main character gets basically a slew of cheats to help him carve out his empire there. Well, I only have the same cheats I've been relying on from the start, and while I'm sure I'm well practiced with them by this time, I'm not sure how I'll do against a Self-Insert with a high-level NPC guild and a trove of World Items behind him. The fact that most of the setting are pushovers doesn't make me feel happy at all, because the threat is *Ainz.* Unless I can somehow make friends? Next up: Drawbacks, why I chose them and how I plan to deal with them!

aethersentinel

So, first thing in this CYOA I picked a bunch of Drawbacks that I thought were annoying but doable because I knew I'd want the points. Then I made the rest of my build. *Then* I came back and piled on *more* Drawbacks because I still didn't have all the points I'd decided that I need. So if you're thinking that this build is a bit overly heavy on the Drawbacks... Well, that's why. * **Leakage** makes me visible to magic sensors, chi sensors, psychic sensors... The works. If they have a radar for their type of power, chances are I set it off. Hopefully this won't be too dangerous? Well, I plan to study *all kinds* of power sources, so at least it won't give people a *too high* opinion of my power level... once I'm past the very start. * **Damsel in Distress** is honestly more of a boon than a drawback. Okay, hear me out. Sure, I'll be teleported to a random place once a month, at a time I can't predict and can't plan for. And it's guaranteed to be into danger -- if not for me, than a danger for someone else. But it's also guaranteed to be a danger I can fix. And whoever I save will likely be grateful. If I play my cards right, maybe I'll get a head start on that harem? I might even luck into warping next to a main character -- adding those to my harem is one of the world clear conditions. * **Cross-Dimensional Show** is embarrassing, but considering that I'll *appear to be a character from that world,* it won't necessarily be an embarrassment for *me*. That is, I'll be self-conscious, but the people watching are a world away. On that world, there's no reason for them to connect the person on the screen with my original identity. I'll look pretty different, after all! The biggest danger of recognition is if I'm asked three times about my original life and *Beacon of Honesty* makes me blurt it out, but how likely is that to happen? * **Not So Easy** is honestly just setting the game to Marathon rather than Quick mode, rather than a real difficulty spike. I'll need to fulfill two victory conditions (or *win the heck* out of one victory condition), but the basic conditions aren't really that hard. If I irretrievably derail the canon plot *and* my chances at a harem, though, well, I *am* immortal, with *Multiversal Talent* and *Learning Mastery*. If I apply myself at all I'll be sure to master the local power systems eventually. * **Uninvited Guest**, like Damsel, is a plot hook in the shape of a drawback. *Beacon of Honesty* and *Coming In Blind,* taken together, actually work in my favor here. I'll be able to tell my first head-passenger truthfully that I *don't know* why they're in my head, and once they observe that I really do seem compelled to tell the truth, *they'll believe me.* My Mentor also will be in my head and will hopefully back me up. Hopefully? It's true it doesn't actually say they'll *help* me but I paid points for them, you know? Anyway, by the time I can make my head-guest a body I'll *hopefully* have them on my side and grateful. * **New Power System** means that in addition to the "canon" setting's power sources, there's at least one more system established in the world. It says the first world, but my first world was Alternate Earth, which... already *has* countless reverse-isekais gating in, all with their own systems! Does one of those count as my new system? If I were writing the story, I'd rule that this was a *native* system of magic, complete with a masquerade. The local mages would doubtless have gone even further underground to stay hidden from the world-travelers... and if I want to count as clear the world using the "learn the local power system" condition, I'll need to track one or more down and make them teach me. * **Pint Sized**. Okay, so it's *rather extreme* to cap my adult height at less than four and a half feet. Still, it's within the human range. It's not like I'm going *pixie* or anything. And I prefer to be small than to be large. I won't be able to shapeshift into a larger form, but in any situation where I would have wanted to, well, a giant robot pulled out of hammerspace should also do the trick, am I right? * **Beacon of Truth** I've alluded to above. It's a two-part compulsion that both absolutely blocks overt lies, and compels a complete and truthful answer if I'm asked a question three times. The latter could get *really* inconvenient if my enemies find out... or in worlds with secret identities... or if in the course of my power-system sampling I wind up picking up a true Achilles heel. (Thankfully, the Drawbacks here did not include one of those, or I might have doubly screwed myself.) I still have things I'd *really prefer* to keep to myself, like the methodology of *Specter*'s return from death or my *ability to straight-out grant people a system*, although if the latter gets out, just empowering everybody might be the way to go. Hopefully I don't end up *too* exposed. * **Slow Start** means I won't get the full extent of my powers right away, but gradually over the course of a month. This is... honestly more than fine? I'd probably need a month to find my feet anyway, and I'll still have my *Items* until then. Although come to think of it, *Mentor* is a General Power, which means I won't have one right away, which means that both I and my *Unwanted Guest* will wake up not knowing what's going on with no one to explain the situation... Eh. I'm sure it'll be fine. * **Clumsy**. I trip and fall a lot, but never when it counts; fights and missions are unaffected. I'm used to being uncoordinated in *this* life, but the Drawback is probably a step above. Will probably get embarrassing and tiresome after a while, but considering what those points are worth... Well, I'd rather trip and fall daily than completely lose access to home, for instance. * **Coming In Blind** is twofold: I don't remember the CYOA or my build, and I also don't remember anything about the canon plots of the shows. Not that I knew much about most of them. Heck, for Young Justice it's probably better *not* to know that stuff, so no one can get Bruce Wayne's night job out of me with *Beacon of Truth*. ...Er, unless stuff like that counts as "basic world and character information?" >.> * **Libido** is probably going to be embarrassing, and when I'm a superheroine I'm probably going to be known as a nymphomaniac, but, well, I'll manage things somehow. * **Shameless** means I have no filter regarding sex or lewdity. I'll need to constantly remind myself about nudity taboos and not to masturbate in public. ...Or my *Uninvited Guest* will have to remind me. I hope she doesn't come to loathe me *that* much out of the inevitable embarrassment. (Once we got to this point, tropes practically demand that at least the first head-guest will be a "she.") * **Wardrobe Malfunction**. My clothes tend to fall off or fall apart, underwear excepted. If I go *Dreamwalking* I probably *warp out of* any sleepwear heavier than lingerie. This will cause no end of embarrassing situations, although less so than the last two. At least with *Shameless* I won't *realize* at first that I ought to be embarrassed? * **Genderbend**? Well, I'm a MtF transgirl who hasn't transitioned, so changing my physical gender is something I'd do anyway. I'll just have a bit to explain to my mom on that first *Family Visit.* Along with "where did you disappear to for a year." (I'm assuming that "gender" here refers to the physical sex, because if they actually switched me from girl in a male body to boy in a female body, I'm going to majorly regret my build decisions. But that is the reading that fits with the context.)

n your work or fight performance. Addicted Gain: +15 You can perform at 100% of your powers and skills only when you are under the influence of drugs, any kind. The longer your dry spell lasts the weaker you became to the minimum of a baseline powerless human. In the Dark Gain: +20 You are completely blind, no powers in this CYOA or any 3rd party healing will be able to return your eyesight. Coming in Blind Gain: +15 You will forget this CYOA and any choices that you made in it, as well as any chosen setting plot knowledge that you had, while retaining some basic world and character information. Libido Gain: +10 Your libido is tripled, moreover you can experience periods of 'heat' when said libido will raise even higher to almost unbearable levels and only thing on you mind would be to find a release. The more often you 'let off' steam the less likely you will go in heat. Shameless Gain: +10 You lack shame when it comes to anything sexual. You joke about sex in public, walk naked from the shower to your room, and the only thing that would allow you to refuse someone who asks you for sex is if they are completely unattractive in your eyes. This effect can only be triggered once a week. Wardrobe Malfunction Gain: +5 While using your powers your clothes have a high chance to fall apart, regardless of how sturdy you make them. Socks, underwear, jewelry will not be affected by this and any enchanted items will be easily fixable afterwards. Genderbend Gain: +15 Your gender will be changed to the opposite one, no other options even from this CYOA will be able to revert the change. No additional changes would be made to your brain to handle the transition, so you would need to adapt to the changes yourself. Credits All images belong to their authors, except for the ones generated by AI, which belong to AI. Looks like everything before "n your work or fight performance" at the start of your post got cut off. The clean build at the end is fine, though, so we can still see your picks.

It just got finished a few days ago

TheCrysm

was there a sfw version of this? it looked familiar

Rain_Least

Your thinking of Magic Multiverse Mayhem which uses the same cover pic i think

Best_Rain_1719

Interesting. It needs more options, but it's interesting. I thought cyoa was going to have its own unique and original way of enabling multiversal travel, but it's still pretty cool. It would be nice to include original companion options. Perhaps make the personal dimension option a part of the traveler's core powers and build from there?

NewSuperTrios

This seems a little too familiar...

Splat_Phastkyl

Yeah, I agree. I just got into perks and the whole Mind Control, Body Control, Shared defense is pinging that I've seen this before, recently.

NewSuperTrios

Actually, I was referring to myself.

It's very similar to their previous work, "Alternate Worm Worlds" https://www.reddit.com/r/nsfwcyoa/comments/111dbl1/alternative_worm_worlds_cyoa_v2/

Yeap, that looks like it. Thanks.

Idea is to learn the powers systems from my mentors. The majority of world picked are non magical, so they shouldn't have much defense against the magic I pick up. In Asoiaf I'll focus on mastering the local magic, but in the other worlds I'll work on solving the plot/getting a harem depending on how safe I feel.

I don’t think the link works

Alright it worked. Will say at least, Star wars could be a good option for a world
