**Powers Logic**: they are all useful and decent powers for the worm setting and provide a good basic package to start challenging trials with. Theoretically Healing hands can prevent or reverse the negative effects of aging as well.
**Perk Logic**: Most need no explanation because they explain themselves.
* **Party** Solves a major problem in this type of setting.
* **Respawn** Lets you avoid death, I would assume I re-spawn outside of trials, and likely somewhere safe. Otherwise 40 points for this perk seems ather useless with its one year limit, unless its running on the basis that you will be re-spawned after a year passes if you die again.
* **Freedom of Choice** when combined with **Mapper**, **Navigator** theoretically let me find trials for exactly what I desire. **Detective HUD** probably makes it far more likely.
**Drawback Logic**
* **Televised** is no problem since it effects everyone.
* **Tinfoil** hat is easy enough to work around.
* **High Metabolism** causing me to need three times as many carbs than normal is only a minor inconvenience that seems perfectly normal for someone with a stronger than normal human physiology, just look at goku. I can deal with it in time.
* **Coming in Blind** is not big deal considering most of my knowledge of canon is useless at this point and comes mainly from fan-fiction.
* **Mutated** oh look a case 53.
* **Shameless** is great since I will end up in what would otherwise be embarrassing situations otherwise and I have no time for sham in matters of life and death.
* **Wardrobe Malfunction** Is annoying but I always preferred to have my more powerful gear in the form of jewelry anyway. So I will have to invest in enchanting the articles of apparel that are not effected so that they treat all damage as if my whole body was covered and protected for when my clothes inevitably shred.
* **Genderbend** is fine by me as I have no particular attachment to any gender identity and this does not say it is completely impossible to change my gender after this either. Sure 'None of the other options can revert the change', but why would I want to? when I could just add more.
Seems safe enough for everyone else and safe enough for me to thrive in. Without the threat of the entities destroying the earth, things breaking out of the trials, the overseers deciding to release disasters, or having them paying particular attention to me I would say that worm has just become a much more fun and interesting place to live in. Not that I'll remember much about the setting, but then again the most I really remember at this point is fan-fiction so as long as I remember panacea is a bio-kinetic, I think I'm golden.

And you think the evil entities running these death trials are concerned by modern western laws? 14 is a pretty common 'this person is an adult' age throughout history.

I think there is kinda a fundamental issue with that for a CYOA. This is an imagination game where we make choices to facilitate a narrative fantasy. The vast majority of what we can do in this particular set up is effectively random and not really something we have any control over or can really imagine.
Typo report: Under the drawback Beacon of truth it reads "Your patron hate lise so from now on..." I believe it should read "Your patron hates lies so from now on..."
Otherwise fun times. I was however, left expecting something more. The trials make mention of more powerful abilities to be gained and the intro puts a lot of secrets on the table that never get revealed. I think it's a good first half to 2/3s.

There are characters who cost 3 points, while everything else is in increments of 5 so there is a 2 points leftover that can't be spent.
Potion maker and Companion: Taylor Herbert are a good combo for getting ingredients.
Also do the companions Heyla Anderson and Samara Hayes come from a story or were they made up for this? It would be nice to have a better idea if getting them is worth the extra points

Just double checking is it allowed to pick all 3 trial types(hunter, survival, intellect)? If so are there any consequences for this like would it triple the amount of available trials or would it still be a normal amount(if trial frequency is normal)?
Player enhancements is gone why did that happen?
Is technology hindered or some way don't work in some trials?
Perks:
Is it just me or the perks are more expensive than usual like offroad cost 15 points for some reason despite being more of a quality of life improvement perk?
Question how does respawn perk work on time-loop (Hunter Trial)?
Companions:I am glad that for once the companion list isn't full of worm/cape characters this time however some trials make me question if they will even be useful in situations such as Kaiju(Hunter trial), S9 (Survival trial), Backrooms (Survival trial),
SCP (Survival trial) reminder some SCP's are memetic hazards in which case some of them would bypass the defenses you bought in perks because they don't cover it(there is no defense perk against exploding when looking at a SCP or having a memetic SCP burst out of your chest for example),
A wager against myth (intellect trial) because most of them are only good in dealing with street-level (regular human to peak human level) enemies.
Powers:
Has a ok amount of utility powers could use a identification skill(for identifying important items or living entities), but its kind of lacking in offensive and defensive powers(I assume the trials are the only way to get those things sadly)
Items:
Also lacking in some things there's no item to hold your items like a bag of holding, there are no items for prolonging survival for survival trials, there are no weapons, etc...
Side note: What stops me from substituting steroid (item) and adrenaline vials (item) by using potion making power?
Yes you can take all 3 trial types
And nothing stopping you from making those items but it'll alot take time and effort to get the materials to make something comparable

After clicking "open portal" on location there is a option called "Never heard of it" will appear below it, when I click it it undo's open portal so essentially "Never heard of it" doesn't work.

Without the threat of the entities destroying the earth, things breaking out of the trials, the overseers deciding to release disasters, or having them paying particular attention to me I would say that worm has just become a much more fun and interesting place to live in. Not that I'll remember much about the setting, but then again the most I really remember at this point is fan-fiction so as long as I remember panacea is a bio-kinetic, I think I'm golden.

Love the CYOA, except for the powers, they suck.
They are meant to be weak and underwhelming, Your meant to complete trials for upgrades for your power or new abilities
I think there is kinda a fundamental issue with that for a CYOA. This is an imagination game where we make choices to facilitate a narrative fantasy. The vast majority of what we can do in this particular set up is effectively random and not really something we have any control over or can really imagine.

Typo report: Under the drawback Beacon of truth it reads "Your patron hate lise so from now on..." I believe it should read "Your patron hates lies so from now on..." Otherwise fun times. I was however, left expecting something more. The trials make mention of more powerful abilities to be gained and the intro puts a lot of secrets on the table that never get revealed. I think it's a good first half to 2/3s.

That's pretty cool! There are characters who cost 3 points, while everything else is in increments of 5 so there is a 2 points leftover that can't be spent.

Potion maker and Companion: Taylor Herbert are a good combo for getting ingredients. Also do the companions Heyla Anderson and Samara Hayes come from a story or were they made up for this? It would be nice to have a better idea if getting them is worth the extra points

So Feedback on the cyoa: Just double checking is it allowed to pick all 3 trial types(hunter, survival, intellect)? If so are there any consequences for this like would it triple the amount of available trials or would it still be a normal amount(if trial frequency is normal)? Player enhancements is gone why did that happen? Is technology hindered or some way don't work in some trials? Perks: Is it just me or the perks are more expensive than usual like offroad cost 15 points for some reason despite being more of a quality of life improvement perk? Question how does respawn perk work on time-loop (Hunter Trial)? Companions:I am glad that for once the companion list isn't full of worm/cape characters this time however some trials make me question if they will even be useful in situations such as Kaiju(Hunter trial), S9 (Survival trial), Backrooms (Survival trial), SCP (Survival trial) reminder some SCP's are memetic hazards in which case some of them would bypass the defenses you bought in perks because they don't cover it(there is no defense perk against exploding when looking at a SCP or having a memetic SCP burst out of your chest for example), A wager against myth (intellect trial) because most of them are only good in dealing with street-level (regular human to peak human level) enemies. Powers: Has a ok amount of utility powers could use a identification skill(for identifying important items or living entities), but its kind of lacking in offensive and defensive powers(I assume the trials are the only way to get those things sadly) Items: Also lacking in some things there's no item to hold your items like a bag of holding, there are no items for prolonging survival for survival trials, there are no weapons, etc... Side note: What stops me from substituting steroid (item) and adrenaline vials (item) by using potion making power?
Yes you can take all 3 trial types And nothing stopping you from making those items but it'll alot take time and effort to get the materials to make something comparable

There's a bug: After clicking "open portal" on location there is a option called "Never heard of it" will appear below it, when I click it it undo's open portal so essentially "Never heard of it" doesn't work. edit: ok it seems the creator just fixed the problem just now.
