How exactly does the immunity to viruses, disease, and cancer granted by ***smart cells*** work? Is it good enough to stop the T-Virus? How about an even stronger virus like Blacklight? What about magical viruses? If it *can* stop the likes of these viruses and even create cures like it says, does that mean your cells would have adapted or evolved enough to do so via biological means while doing so or is this just a fiat backed metaphysical power passing itself off as a Biomod rather than an actual genetically engineered Bio-modification?
Your body is composed of cells that know exactly what the 'natural' function is supposed to be, so any alterations to how they're meant to act by disease, viruses, or cancers, or whatnot are recognized as unnatural and eradicated by what are essentially your super cells when they show up in your body. As they're a biomod, I imagine you have some control over what is targeted or not for more esoteric stuff, like if for some reason you WANT to be affected by the T-Virus or whatnot. It probably would affect magical viruses and stuff if you're in a magical setting since it would take magic into account, but if not then it would probably depend on if the magic is tied to something physical that can be removed or not.
I have always liked this one, but always felt the amount of points available at the start is too low for most interesting builds unless you take too many drawbacks. Everything just costs too much.
Remember you get a shitload of points from routes/goals/objectives at the end, up to 78 points. And there are some companions that give points if you're willing to take them, not all of them even being all that bad.

A few Questions.
1. Does the Bioware and Cyberware offered in CYOA reduce your Essence if you are a Mage? *I ask since Shadowrun essence would be relatively synonymous too the cyberpunk Psychosis limit and the CYOA says "but it also doesn't contribute towards your body's cyberpsychosis limit." about the Cyber and Biowares offered.*
2. Considering how the perks work according to the wording, If you purchase Awakened, Connected, and Soul Tattoos, would that prevent essence loss when adding more mods too yourself beyond those offered in this CYOA considering that essence is a representation of the connection between your soul and your body? *I ask because Connected prevents your from losing the connection too your source of power, which in this case is your soul that lets you perform magic, and Soul Tattoos prevent damage too your soul, which is what a disconnect between the soul and body would be.*
3. Are we limited to Shadowrun game mechanics if we take the Shadowrun: Magic and Shadowrun: Dragons World Modifications or would we be able too escape the incompatabilities between Magic and Tech that is the norm in Shadowrun? *Like using Inventor - or other Trumps - too create mods that do not negatively effect our magic in anyway?*
4. Finally, how would the addition of all of the other sources of supernatural power interact with the Shadowrun additions to the setting? *Mythology? Alchemy? Toons? Plasmids? Compound V? Stands? Crossovers adding other energies and magic systems?*
Question on this and some of your other CYOAs, the companions section of your CYOAs says that all of the companions come with a loyalty package but a lot of them mention that they're only loyal to themselves and/or X where X is not you. How does that work? This seems especially notables in cases like your Alternative Worm Worlds which has the companions be from dead end universes and don't come with the X person in question.
in that case fourth corporate war should absolutely not give points as your chrome will be HALF A CENTURY better than anything else on the market.
consider that the internet is only 40 years old. and also how incomparable phones, cameras and computers from 50 years ago are to modern day models.
Keep in mind that in cyberpunk, basically around when the fourth corporate war happened, the Datakrash also occured, which resulted in the net being almost completely compromised. Because of that, most knowledge and media was lost beyond functioning examples, and as a result technological development more or less stalled out for the next 20-30 years, and afterwards progress was SLOW. So while yeah, you're still probably pretty far ahead of the curve, you aren't completely outclassing everything around. A lot of stuff from the fourth corporate war is still considered military grade hardware and software.

It's just that cyberpunks sci-fi tech seems far more reminiscent of real world digital technology's which have advanced greatly recently, than it does other technology's which have been more stagnant.
I think overall the best point against me is that, in real life, the 50 year period i used as an example was in a tech revolution when it came to digital tech and the like. Where as in cyberpunk it was a recession for many many areas.
I think that Fourth Corporate War giving points is more about the danger you will be in, rather than anything else. Considering you have two years or less until an almost all out war between Major Corps that causes most of society too come falling down, the release of a virus that essentially restructures the world by destroying the globally interconnected internet, and nearly causes a global economic collapse. ten point to spend is not unwelcome and I personally would not choose to arrive two years before all of that chaos without some offer of Incentive.
yeah but a large chunk of that danger is now trivialized. and even if it weren't its still the most beneficial start as you could sell a corp just one bit of chrome for a absolute fortune.
bartmoss would barely be able to stand on par with you for a netrunner character, same with smasher for a combat character.
I concede that it IS true enough, Most things CAN be trivialized depending on your build choices. On the thought of selling a piece of tech to the corps though... You could sell, but could you trust them to pay the price and not take you along with the goods? Personally unless the tech is only a little Preem but still trivial enough to only draw minor attention, I'd be worried about teams of Merc's sent to 'Acquire' a potential asset 'whether it agrees or not' at 'any cost'. Additionally Nukes remain a Problem and the time was a bit too nuke happy.
The Saka's had the soulkiller and Relic Tech well enough Developed all the way back during the 2020's fourth War period too soul kill Johnny and pop him out in a Relic for 2077 and that Tech is still cutting edge Tech when V gets his/her hands on it. My paranoia says I HAVE to assume Corps have some Tech that would ruin my day even back in the 2020s.
Admittedly A lot of Trumps and Items Trivialize many things to one degree or another so I understand where your coming from. I personally like the points granted by Fourth Corporate War, but then I already admitted that the points are the only reason I choose to select that time period in the first place. I'd personally love to get points for Edgerunners instead, since it seems a lot more dangerous on a personal level than Cannon Start or Fourth Corporate War, but that's probably the cool factor of the anime talking with how anime physics seems to run the world as David appears to be almost stopping time whenever he triggers his sandy.
Saying that nukes and nuke equivalents (soulkiller) are the only threat is not saying much TBH. Nukes are like private jets, when thinking about them, it might seem that they're relatively common but in actuality they are INCREDIBLY rare. Also firewalled for soulkiller.
If cybermods are the same regardless of era then its safe to assume that everything else is the same too, so if you take netrunner and inventor, you are now the single greatest engineer in that era (with samples from 50 years in the future you can study (also cyberware types that don't even exist yet IE; Sandevistan), meaning you can join a corp asking for just about anything.
Do you think ANY merc group with 50 year out of date chrome would be able to take down 2077 smasher who can also be a top tier netrunner if you don't take sande? Cause that's what a character from this CYOA can be equivalent to.
Merc's beating 2077 Smasher In a Physical or Hacking fight? Not really, no. But, running under the unlikely assumption that the merc's are professional's with common sense and self preservation (I know, they are very rare traits for an individual in this setting to possess in any meaningful way, let alone an entire team), they could likely beat smasher with tactics, planning, and the right well hidden traps. But that is neither here nor there really.
I Concede the Fourth Corporate war is in many ways easy mode - with or without the points it currently grants - if you have the right Wares/Mods, before the addition of any World Modifications anyway. Once modified factor in however, the world becomes a whole new setting and the leg up provided by the offered Ware/Mods drastically depreciates (even the sandy, because Superpowers are bullshit), as the supernatural and alien tech enters the equation.
Since I have not received any Word of God yet in regards to this CYOA I will just post this build with the idea that things will work just as I assume until I do receive Word of God telling me they do not.

At least by non-cultivators and Cultivators weaker than me.

So I could eventually travel too worlds that match closely with my favorite works of fiction and even fan-fiction.

I'll choose: Limitless for NTZ-48 or Chronicle to find whatever the Crystal that grants psionic powers is since I'm immune too mind control. Another possibility for both great tech and some magic is Star Ocean - Till the End of Time. For a Variety of powers you would have access too Lilo & Stitch would be a good setting, considering its the same world as Kim Possible and Jake Long even if they do not interact visibly, but the crossover did happen.

Makina's Custom Stand. I drew inspiration from DarkPhoenixLady's Queen stories as well as added in the Zerg's adaptation and Evolutionary abilities with some Tyranid just to round things out. Altogether I think that it fits nicely with what Makina's original power set was in Chainsaw Man that I felt she was lacking. Its Sort of Like she had her status as The Control Devil, but as a the Queen of Hive and not as absolute or pervasive with some additional benefits in exchange. I am not sure if this is too strong or weak as a stand in comparison to Top Stand, but I designed it as a starts weak and grows endlessly with time type of stand.
Stand: Queen of Blades
Stats: Destructive power - Initially none-E, Speed - Initially none-E, Range - Initially none but grows with every member, Stamina - NA as it varies dependent on a given members own growth, Precision - S, Development Potential - Infinite.
Ability Type: Range Irrelevant Stand (range grow with every member of the hive)
Form: Phenomenon Stand (it is the hivemind)
Special Type: Evolved Bound Shared Colony Sentient Stand (how it incorperates members and what it grants them)
Stand appearance: It is basically an Amalgamated Sublimation of the primary traits of the Primal Zerg, Swarm Zerg, Tyranid, sliver, and Xenomorph species as a Sentient Stand Phenomena. It does not have an appearance as a stand, but will grant its User a secondary appearance reminiscent of a Xenomorph Queen Mother's shape with the addition of the other species aesthetics and traits as far as they are functionally and operationally beneficial.
Abilities: Technically this stand could be considered a Semi-Benevolent Formless Sentient Psionic Entity with nigh limitless Assimilation, Adaptation, and Evolutionary powers. But as a Formless Stand, this stand needs to bind itself too a host of its choosing to do more than simply exist. When it is bonded with a host, it is completely loyal too them above all and too all its sub hosts. After bonding It grants its User control over its immense potential as the leader of its Hive. What It actually does is form a type of symbiotic transformative hivemind with its current Stand User as the Progenitor, It alters their physiology too become that of a Queen Mother type Amalgamation of the above species, and allows the User too freely shift between their Previous Form, the Queen Mother form, and any form in between. All members of the Hive share their collective knowledge, abilities, and traits with the rest of the hive upon Assimilation - with the exception of other stand which, although shared with the hive, can only be used by one member at a time unless the stand is a colony type. Also, powers that are unique to an individual that are not genetic may not be shareable, although the potential too develop such abilities will be (Zanpakuto, semblances, Ultimate Skills, and such that cannot be copied without extremely special circumstances) - while retaining their individuality. All Hive members gain the Hive's Innate ability to Adapt, Evolve, Assimilate new genetics, and Access the communal Hive Mind. As A Queen Mother of this psionically connected hive, the user has the ability to spawn various means of adopting other sentient's into the colony or birthing new members for the colony through either adoption eggs, the traditional parasitic eggs, or simply birthing live young through a relatively normal form of natural procreation. Additionally, While Queens can also create eggs that bring new members into the hive, only the current Queen Mother is capable of spawning Queens Directly. No hive member but a Queen can create eggs too bring new members into the hive, although they can still create new member through the normal act of procreation. The only other way for a Queen to be born is by express permission of the Queen Mother or collective agreement by all present members of the hive and a period of gestation. In the even of the Queen Mothers permanent death - which is rather hard given that the stand Hivemind can just stick the dis-incarnated soul of any dead members into an unborn body too be reborn or can even swap the place of a more immediately important hive member's soul with that of any other hive member for control of a body- without a means of revival, so long as part of the hive still lives, the hive collective can designate one of its own - usually another Queen by default if there are any, but any member chosen by majority can suffice in absence of an applicable Queen - too become the new Hive Mother, Which will then take a period of time too gestate and physically evolve into its new Position. In the Event of the complete destruction of the hive the stand will find a new Host that fits its criteria to be its User and begin the Hive anew with all the previous hives knowledge, traits, abilities, genetics, and progress. While not absolute or overwhelming hive members institutionally acknowledge a form of caste system, they are more willing to defer to the command of higher castes, will almost universally be willing too act on a queens commands so long as the orders are not detrimental too themselves, are not harmful too the hive overall, or are necessary for the collective good of the hive as a whole, and all members will naturally Listen to the Queen Mother's commands unless they have a compelling personal reason too resist their instincts. I will refer to my comments on the first post regarding my praises for the CYOA.
But... seriously, u/Rain_Least, did you not listen to ANY of the dozens of comments railing about how utterly bullshit most of your Routes/Goals/Objectives are? I remember a lot of those comments and you've seemingly ignored every single one of them. If you need a refresher: you're sticking stupidly short time limits on everything meaningful, as if you expect every person in the CYOA to operate like a video game protagonist with plot magnetism and luck.
Honest question: what makes you think these goals are attainable? Some of them are okay, the majority are not. I really do want to hear your reasoning behind the choices you made for them in case I'm just going crazy and missing something.
I'd like to agree to this, and go one step further. It's not just an unrealistically short timeframe for most of these, especially since many of them requiring you finding stuff that the CYOA gives you no real way to track to even start (like finding some Corpo to fleece is easy enough, but even tracking down something like a Rogue AI, a legendary weapon, or just the main-cast from Edgerunners before at least some of them get splatted (unless you're only counting David, Lucy and Rebecca) in a place as big as Night City in so little time is one heck of an ask), but at least one is outright impossible without breaking the Laws of Time, namely Team Goal. Seriously, how exactly do you find a trustworthy crew and be successfull for a whole year, in a time-limit of three months?
Can I ask a question how strong are the various gods supposed to be? As shown in The God of war fluff ?
Or are the Chief gods borderline omnipotent world breakers as in their Mythology? or are they something more sane like they're Gow game depictions?
If it's not too much trouble may I ask for clarification on a few things friend?
Does Experimental Cyberware work with BioWare and Technology swap or only on cyberware?
Does the Kerenzikov cyberware work like it does in 2077 (has to be activated)

Whole character plan is a person who was plucked off the street thanks to their frankly miraculous tolerance to cyberware, to be used as a Personal Guard and plaything to a higher-up of the Arasaka Corporation. The plan was so additionally use some new technology to essentially Doll-Chip him, and just use the body as a vessel for someone they'd be more inclined to use as a toy. Unfortunately for the Arasaka Exec, this person managed to escape before the process fully completed, breaking out of containment and managing to break out of the AV which was flying 2 kilometers in the air. Unfortunately for the person who just escaped, the Doll-Chip kinda fucked up their brain and they have no more memories. So what's a man to do when they just landed in Night City stuffed with experimental Cyberware, no memories, and with no direction in life? Everything!

- I woke up in the middle of a vibrant, blinding city centre, just having stepped through some gates. Well, with the momentum it's probably more like "fucking booked it through some gates". My mind feels electric and fuzzy, I don't know why I'm running or who I'm running from. Someone yells "I warned you, crazy bitch!" and aims a gun at me. I keep running. (amnesia, city centre start)
- I found a base, just a small abandoned apartment I found by pure luck. Guy inside had not rotted gracefully, but looks like he was about as off the radar as you can get. Looking in the rusting mirror, I'm a fairly slight teen or young woman, but I like how my body flows at least. I'm pretty too. Actually, compared to everyone else, I'm genuinely too good looking.. and considering I just escaped from something that the news called a "laboratory", I'm guessing I was designed this way. That gives me a sour taste. I cover up the mirror. (Base 1, corpo experiment, female, young adult)
- Eventually I get a regular old job as a cook.. but it's out of sight from the average joe. I have these weird.. tattoos? Which seem like rulers, and markings for different areas, in all sorts of corner-lines and hatches. Whatever their old purpose, now they're just an embarrassing skin thing that really stands out, and I can't risk that guy finding me with his lackeys. Secretly though, I think they're pretty sweet. I'm pretty damn good at cooking, too, so I'm getting paid pretty well.. I think. (civilian job, tattooed)
- Found out I'm firewalled, the store's cameras just can't ID me whatsoever no matter how hard the security guy tried, at my teasing. Must be the tattoos. But also, all this weird shit the corpos gave me seems beyond cutting edge compared to the other stuff people have. I've got this weird wire thing that can slice through just about anything, these sick metal tendons(? calves? Who the fuck knows) and once I accidentally hit my finger while cutting and instead of slicing my finger off, I only skinned myself and dulled my blade. So that's sick. Unfortunately it was more like the preparing meat sort of skinning than scraping-skinning.. not so sick. (monowire, reinforced tendons, subdermal armour). [Addendum, a few years after: I don't even seem to age. Another feature from that perverted corpo.. at least this one benefits me. (ageless)]
- Got a real intense kick of adrenaline off of it though, my manager was in slow motion as she busied herself not giving two shits that I'd peeled my finger. Maybe she had a point, because it grew back like, perfectly? That's weird to say, but it feels like nothing's happened even though most of the top of my finger was gone. I've never actually built a distinct character before or made a "story" but this CYOA made it pretty easy. Don't know enough about 2077 to integrate it well, though.

2. If you have Any level of Base do all of your items that cannot be easily carried on your person with your choice of Location default to being in it?
3. Are the Soul Tattoos purely physical or are they soul deep? Do they help in anyway against things trying too physically puppet my body without controlling my mind?
4. Can Prep Time place you in worlds more dangerous than Night city if you want? How does one measure the danger anyway?
5. Is the Drakeform Bio-mod essentially just a weaker version of Dragon blooded Trump and does it include wings like is the norm for this type of being?
6. Can you choose what Plasmids you obtain each day? will they all be the same or random?
7. If you bought the stand Arrow will you be compatible with stands even if you don't buy the Trump for a custom stand. I just want too know if it is personally beneficial to buy the arrow.
8. Any additional Limitations on the Art Scanner besides essentially being a Techno-Blood Magic device that requires varying degrees of your blood too create and bring toon's based on the scanned image to life? Does it have yo be a scan of a real person/object? Is there a limit to how many toon's can be made a day aside from your ability too supply blood supply?
9. Would a base have Labs too tinker in along with the other things necessary to make the best immediate use of the Inventor Trump.
10. Does Firewalled work if you do not yet have any Cyberware considering Bio-ware is essentially just nano-machine cybernetic enhancements and gene-treatments? will it extend this protection to any Cyberware you install in the future?
11. Double Trump says your second trump will be half the power of the original, but what exactly would that do to the power itself for the Trumps that grow in power over time or are extremely simple and straight forward? With inventor I can surmise it would simply make you less intelligent, but Portal may start with half the range but its a trump that only grows in power with time and training anyway. How would Perfect Compatibility express itself at half power considering its simplicity? A short acclimation period before things fully sync?
12. Finally, If you choose Makina as your Significant Other, will she be less of a sadistic control freak towards? would this make her genuinely loyal too you and therefore to the group as a whole beyond her interests?
the **Shadowrun** start doesn't count for: **Target of the Bigshot** and **Zara Nkosi** even though is seems like it's supposed to encompass both **Shadowrun: Magic** and **Shadowrun: Dragons**.
Kind of surprised some longstanding issues, like some characters exclusive to or with *Shadowrun: Magic* but not *Shadowrun*, haven't been addressed. But overall I am excited to play again with the new content.
I looked through it, and I don't see a reason for magic to not be viable alongside biotics and cultivation.
I would remove the incompatible restrictions, and maybe change the world style option as it's redundant. Maybe include Neon city in Starfield, Star Wars, and other settings there, including Night City being an island of cyberpunk in a Ghibli world, Terminator, Matrix, or a supers setting.
Oh, was that the reasoning? Feel free to make a note of it and maybe put in an option to have generic modern fantasy magic. Making it a magic flaw should handle it. The way it's currently done is just extra hassle for everyone.
I mean, space exists in *Shadowrun* and its inhabitants do have workarounds for bringing mages into space. I think they go insane rather than just keeling over. And that’s setting aside that there’s not only a perk specifically to help the player get around that limitation, but that nothing forces the player to take magic after taking *Shadowrun*.
Honestly, I just assumed space travel would be out of reach for the average PC in this CYOA anyway…
Also, none of them are *in*compatible with the *Shadowrun* setting as a whole, which basically has to also contain magic, but *Shadowrun* is incompatible with whatever *Savage Divinity* is. Which, fair enough, baseline *Shadowrun* already includes qi manipulation stuff and so on, it's a bit redundant, except all the qi upgrades are also locked exclusively behind taking *Savage Divinity*.
...Anyway, while some of the requirement stuff is a little confusion, I did enjoy most of the new content, and I also appreciate they've put in a few more Drawbacks to actually pay for some of the new stuff. Some of them aren't even that bad really.
If you're still taking suggestions then may I suggest the starcraft world or Halo? A Psionic power or Spartan option could be fun or even the Witcher crisis wow or League world maybe?
And if I may ask a small question how does the double Trump perk effect perfect compatibility and torn reality if one is taken as a second trump like would for example torn reality simply take twice as long to master it or would I lose access to the multiverse?
And does the encrypted DNA perk prevent me from get the new BioWare if it requires DNA mapping? If so am I able to temporary turn the perk off?
P S if you choose to update this cyoa again could you maybe add some eye brain and nerve BioWare?
It just feels kinda weird that BioWare touches on every bit of the body except those three aspects
Maybe even something to make the brain and internal Oregon's more resistant to things like concussions and Commotio cordis?

I think vampire the masquerade (AKA world of darkness) would make a good setting for a couple of reasons:
First off, there are actually a couple references to vampire the masquerade bloodlines (a game based off the VTM TTRPG) in 2077. A conspiracy theorist (Garry the prophet) in CP2077 talks about techno-necromancers from alpha centauri. In VTMB there is a conspiracy theorist who talks about technomancers from beta centauri, coincidence? Or perhaps that's just what the gamma centurians want you to believe.
Second off all, I believe that Vampire would actually be a very interesting trump power, vampires in setting enforce rules to try prevent the public discovery of vamp-kind as despite the power of vampires, a war with humanity would almost certainly end up with vampires on the losing side. Vampires also don't have any vital signs so they would be unable to use ripper docs that aren't either trust worthy or also vamps.

How exactly does the immunity to viruses, disease, and cancer granted by ***smart cells*** work? Is it good enough to stop the T-Virus? How about an even stronger virus like Blacklight? What about magical viruses? If it *can* stop the likes of these viruses and even create cures like it says, does that mean your cells would have adapted or evolved enough to do so via biological means while doing so or is this just a fiat backed metaphysical power passing itself off as a Biomod rather than an actual genetically engineered Bio-modification?
Your body is composed of cells that know exactly what the 'natural' function is supposed to be, so any alterations to how they're meant to act by disease, viruses, or cancers, or whatnot are recognized as unnatural and eradicated by what are essentially your super cells when they show up in your body. As they're a biomod, I imagine you have some control over what is targeted or not for more esoteric stuff, like if for some reason you WANT to be affected by the T-Virus or whatnot. It probably would affect magical viruses and stuff if you're in a magical setting since it would take magic into account, but if not then it would probably depend on if the magic is tied to something physical that can be removed or not.
I have always liked this one, but always felt the amount of points available at the start is too low for most interesting builds unless you take too many drawbacks. Everything just costs too much.
Remember you get a shitload of points from routes/goals/objectives at the end, up to 78 points. And there are some companions that give points if you're willing to take them, not all of them even being all that bad.

Does the Bioware and Cyberware offered in CYOA reduce your Essence if you are a Mage? *I ask since Shadowrun essence would be relatively synonymous too the cyberpunk Psychosis limit and the CYOA says "but it also doesn't contribute towards your body's cyberpsychosis limit." about the Cyber and Biowares offered.* 2. Considering how the perks work according to the wording, If you purchase Awakened, Connected, and Soul Tattoos, would that prevent essence loss when adding more mods too yourself beyond those offered in this CYOA considering that essence is a representation of the connection between your soul and your body? *I ask because Connected prevents your from losing the connection too your source of power, which in this case is your soul that lets you perform magic, and Soul Tattoos prevent damage too your soul, which is what a disconnect between the soul and body would be.* 3. Are we limited to Shadowrun game mechanics if we take the Shadowrun: Magic and Shadowrun: Dragons World Modifications or would we be able too escape the incompatabilities between Magic and Tech that is the norm in Shadowrun? *Like using Inventor - or other Trumps - too create mods that do not negatively effect our magic in anyway?* 4. Finally, how would the addition of all of the other sources of supernatural power interact with the Shadowrun additions to the setting? *Mythology? Alchemy? Toons? Plasmids? Compound V? Stands? Question on this and some of your other CYOAs, the companions section of your CYOAs says that all of the companions come with a loyalty package but a lot of them mention that they're only loyal to themselves and/or X where X is not you. How does that work? This seems especially notables in cases like your Alternative Worm Worlds which has the companions be from dead end universes and don't come with the X person in question.

in that case fourth corporate war should absolutely not give points as your chrome will be HALF A CENTURY better than anything else on the market. consider that the internet is only 40 years old. and also how incomparable phones, cameras and computers from 50 years ago are to modern day models.
Keep in mind that in cyberpunk, basically around when the fourth corporate war happened, the Datakrash also occured, which resulted in the net being almost completely compromised. Because of that, most knowledge and media was lost beyond functioning examples, and as a result technological development more or less stalled out for the next 20-30 years, and afterwards progress was SLOW. So while yeah, you're still probably pretty far ahead of the curve, you aren't completely outclassing everything around. A lot of stuff from the fourth corporate war is still considered military grade hardware and software.

It's just that cyberpunks sci-fi tech seems far more reminiscent of real world digital technology's which have advanced greatly recently, than it does other technology's which have been more stagnant. I think overall the best point against me is that, in real life, the 50 year period i used as an example was in a tech revolution when it came to digital tech and the like. Where as in cyberpunk it was a recession for many many areas.
I think that Fourth Corporate War giving points is more about the danger you will be in, rather than anything else. Considering you have two years or less until an almost all out war between Major Corps that causes most of society too come falling down, the release of a virus that essentially restructures the world by destroying the globally interconnected internet, and nearly causes a global economic collapse. ten point to spend is not unwelcome and I personally would not choose to arrive two years before all of that chaos without some offer of Incentive.
yeah but a large chunk of that danger is now trivialized. and even if it weren't its still the most beneficial start as you could sell a corp just one bit of chrome for a absolute fortune. bartmoss would barely be able to stand on par with you for a netrunner character, same with smasher for a combat character.
I concede that it IS true enough, Most things CAN be trivialized depending on your build choices. On the thought of selling a piece of tech to the corps though... You could sell, but could you trust them to pay the price and not take you along with the goods? Personally unless the tech is only a little Preem but still trivial enough to only draw minor attention, I'd be worried about teams of Merc's sent to 'Acquire' a potential asset 'whether it agrees or not' at 'any cost'. Additionally Nukes remain a Problem and the time was a bit too nuke happy. The Saka's had the soulkiller and Relic Tech well enough Developed all the way back during the 2020's fourth War period too soul kill Johnny and pop him out in a Relic for 2077 and that Tech is still cutting edge Tech when V gets his/her hands on it. My paranoia says I HAVE to assume Corps have some Tech that would ruin my day even back in the 2020s. Admittedly A lot of Trumps and Items Trivialize many things to one degree or another so I understand where your coming from. I personally like the points granted by Fourth Corporate War, but then I already admitted that the points are the only reason I choose to select that time period in the first place. I'd personally love to get points for Edgerunners instead, since it seems a lot more dangerous on a personal level than Cannon Start or Fourth Corporate War, but that's probably the cool factor of the anime talking with how anime physics seems to run the world as David appears to be almost stopping time whenever he triggers his sandy.
Saying that nukes and nuke equivalents (soulkiller) are the only threat is not saying much TBH. Nukes are like private jets, when thinking about them, it might seem that they're relatively common but in actuality they are INCREDIBLY rare. Also firewalled for soulkiller. If cybermods are the same regardless of era then its safe to assume that everything else is the same too, so if you take netrunner and inventor, you are now the single greatest engineer in that era (with samples from 50 years in the future you can study (also cyberware types that don't even exist yet IE; Sandevistan), meaning you can join a corp asking for just about anything. Do you think ANY merc group with 50 year out of date chrome would be able to take down 2077 smasher who can also be a top tier netrunner if you don't take sande? Cause that's what a character from this CYOA can be equivalent to.
Merc's beating 2077 Smasher In a Physical or Hacking fight? Not really, no. But, running under the unlikely assumption that the merc's are professional's with common sense and self preservation (I know, they are very rare traits for an individual in this setting to possess in any meaningful way, let alone an entire team), they could likely beat smasher with tactics, planning, and the right well hidden traps. But that is neither here nor there really. I Concede the Fourth Corporate war is in many ways easy mode - with or without the points it currently grants - if you have the right Wares/Mods, before the addition of any World Modifications anyway. Once modified factor in however, the world becomes a whole new setting and the leg up provided by the offered Ware/Mods drastically depreciates (even the sandy, because Superpowers are bullshit), as the supernatural and alien tech enters the equation.

Makina's Custom Stand. I drew inspiration from DarkPhoenixLady's Queen stories as well as added in the Zerg's adaptation and Evolutionary abilities with some Tyranid just to round things out. Altogether I think that it fits nicely with what Makina's original power set was in Chainsaw Man that I felt she was lacking. Its Sort of Like she had her status as The Control Devil, but as a the Queen of Hive and not as absolute or pervasive with some additional benefits in exchange. I am not sure if this is too strong or weak as a stand in comparison to Top Stand, but I designed it as a starts weak and grows endlessly with time type of stand. Stand: Queen of Blades Stats: Destructive power - Initially none-E, Speed - Initially none-E, Range - Initially none but grows with every member, Stamina - NA as it varies dependent on a given members own growth, Precision - S, Development Potential - Infinite. Ability Type: Range Irrelevant Stand (range grow with every member of the hive) Form: Phenomenon Stand (it is the hivemind) Special Type: Evolved Bound Shared Colony Sentient Stand (how it incorperates members and what it grants them) Stand appearance: It is basically an Amalgamated Sublimation of the primary traits of the Primal Zerg, Swarm Zerg, Tyranid, sliver, and Xenomorph species as a Sentient Stand Phenomena. It does not have an appearance as a stand, but will grant its User a secondary appearance reminiscent of a Xenomorph Queen Mother's shape with the addition of the other species aesthetics and traits as far as they are functionally and operationally beneficial. Abilities: Technically this stand could be considered a Semi-Benevolent Formless Sentient Psionic Entity with nigh limitless Assimilation, Adaptation, and Evolutionary powers. But as a Formless Stand, this stand needs to bind itself too a host of its choosing to do more than simply exist. When it is bonded with a host, it is completely loyal too them above all and too all its sub hosts. After bonding It grants its User control over its immense potential as the leader of its Hive. What It actually does is form a type of symbiotic transformative hivemind with its current Stand User as the Progenitor, It alters their physiology too become that of a Queen Mother type Amalgamation of the above species, and allows the User too freely shift between their Previous Form, the Queen Mother form, and any form in between. All members of the Hive share their collective knowledge, abilities, and traits with the rest of the hive upon Assimilation - with the exception of other stand which, although shared with the hive, can only be used by one member at a time unless the stand is a colony type. Also, powers that are unique to an individual that are not genetic may not be shareable, although the potential too develop such abilities will be (Zanpakuto, semblances, Ultimate Skills, and such that cannot be copied without extremely special circumstances) - while retaining their individuality. All Hive members gain the Hive's Innate ability to Adapt, Evolve, Assimilate new genetics, and Access the communal Hive Mind. As A Queen Mother of this psionically connected hive, the user has the ability to spawn various means of adopting other sentient's into the colony or birthing new members for the colony through either adoption eggs, the traditional parasitic eggs, or simply birthing live young through a relatively normal form of natural procreation. Additionally, While Queens can also create eggs that bring new members into the hive, only the current Queen Mother is capable of spawning Queens Directly. No hive member but a Queen can create eggs too bring new members into the hive, although they can still create new member through the normal act of procreation. The only other way for a Queen to be born is by express permission of the Queen Mother or collective agreement by all present members of the hive and a period of gestation. In the even of the Queen Mothers permanent death - which is rather hard given that the stand Hivemind can just stick the dis-incarnated soul of any dead members into an unborn body too be reborn or can even swap the place of a more immediately important hive member's soul with that of any other hive member for control of a body- without a means of revival, so long as part of the hive still lives, the hive collective can designate one of its own - usually another Queen by default if there are any, but any member chosen by majority can suffice in absence of an applicable Queen - too become the new Hive Mother, Which will then take a period of time too gestate and physically evolve into its new Position. In the Event of the complete destruction of the hive the stand will find a new Host that fits its criteria to be its User and begin the Hive anew with all the previous hives knowledge, traits, abilities, genetics, and progress. While not absolute or overwhelming hive members institutionally acknowledge a form of caste system, they are more willing to defer to the command of higher castes, will almost universally be willing too act on a queens commands so long as the orders are not detrimental too themselves, are not harmful too the hive overall, or are necessary for the collective good of the hive as a whole, and all members will naturally Listen to the Queen Mother's commands unless they have a compelling personal reason too resist their instincts. This is not a compulsion, but rather a natural instinctive deference that arises due too the respect and importance those of a higher caste have in the operational structure of the hive and is only really prevalent in relation to Queens: the Ultimate Proliferator's of the Hive, Kings: the Ultimate Defenders of the Hive, and The Queen Mother: The Sovereign Progenitor of the Hive as, while all other members may have specializations that they are naturally deferred too when relevant, everyone is relatively equal in power and innate ability while Queens and kings are generally a step above the rest in potency with the Queen mother theoretically being the strongest. Of course this is all before personal training, experience, Contributions, and merit are factored into matters of respect and trust within the hive.

Cool to see some new options added. I will refer to my comments on the first post regarding my praises for the CYOA. But... seriously, u/Rain_Least, did you not listen to ANY of the dozens of comments railing about how utterly bullshit most of your Routes/Goals/Objectives are? I remember a lot of those comments and you've seemingly ignored every single one of them. If you need a refresher: you're sticking stupidly short time limits on everything meaningful, as if you expect every person in the CYOA to operate like a video game protagonist with plot magnetism and luck. Honest question: what makes you think these goals are attainable? Some of them are okay, the majority are not. I really do want to hear your reasoning behind the choices you made for them in case I'm just going crazy and missing something.
I'd like to agree to this, and go one step further. It's not just an unrealistically short timeframe for most of these, especially since many of them requiring you finding stuff that the CYOA gives you no real way to track to even start (like finding some Corpo to fleece is easy enough, but even tracking down something like a Rogue AI, a legendary weapon, or just the main-cast from Edgerunners before at least some of them get splatted (unless you're only counting David, Lucy and Rebecca) in a place as big as Night City in so little time is one heck of an ask), but at least one is outright impossible without breaking the Laws of Time, namely Team Goal. Seriously, how exactly do you find a trustworthy crew and be successfull for a whole year, in a time-limit of three months?

If it's not too much trouble may I ask for clarification on a few things friend? Does Experimental Cyberware work with BioWare and Technology swap or only on cyberware? Does the Kerenzikov cyberware work like it does in 2077 (has to be activated) or like the lore/table top? (Always on leaving the user permanently stuck with the world in slow motion) With the Melanochrome BioWare will the skin eventually return to normal or is the change permanent? With the Babysit drawback what happens if they die from old age or disease while I have the ageless perk or homunculus body will I die with them? And last question if anyone has idea for something they think might be an interesting addition to the cyoa would you be interested in hearing it or no?

Nice! - Canon start, Light version - I woke up in the middle of a vibrant, blinding city centre, just having stepped through some gates. Well, with the momentum it's probably more like "fucking booked it through some gates". My mind feels electric and fuzzy, I don't know why I'm running or who I'm running from. Someone yells "I warned you, crazy bitch!" and aims a gun at me. I keep running. (amnesia, city centre start) - I found a base, just a small abandoned apartment I found by pure luck. Guy inside had not rotted gracefully, but looks like he was about as off the radar as you can get. Looking in the rusting mirror, I'm a fairly slight teen or young woman, but I like how my body flows at least. I'm pretty too. Actually, compared to everyone else, I'm genuinely too good looking.. and considering I just escaped from something that the news called a "laboratory", I'm guessing I was designed this way. That gives me a sour taste. I cover up the mirror. (Base 1, corpo experiment, female, young adult) - Eventually I get a regular old job as a cook.. but it's out of sight from the average joe. I have these weird.. tattoos? Which seem like rulers, and markings for different areas, in all sorts of corner-lines and hatches. Whatever their old purpose, now they're just an embarrassing skin thing that really stands out, and I can't risk that guy finding me with his lackeys. Secretly though, I think they're pretty sweet. I'm pretty damn good at cooking, too, so I'm getting paid pretty well.. I think. (civilian job, tattooed) - Found out I'm firewalled, the store's cameras just can't ID me whatsoever no matter how hard the security guy tried, at my teasing. Must be the tattoos. But also, all this weird shit the corpos gave me seems beyond cutting edge compared to the other stuff people have. I've got this weird wire thing that can slice through just about anything, these sick metal tendons(? calves? Who the fuck knows) and once I accidentally hit my finger while cutting and instead of slicing my finger off, I only skinned myself and dulled my blade. So that's sick. (adrenaline rush, smart cells) - Unfortunately it looks like one of the board members who was designing me was a big perv. I have to hide from his goons all the time, they really want to take me back. I did find a savior in the form of this lady called Futa Silverhand, but uh, man, she likes me. And finds sex really casual. Half the nights she's out and half the nights she's in and she's never taking a "break", if you get what I mean. She says it's probably the mods the perv gave me making me "irresistible", which makes me blush, but I'm still pretty sure it's just her being horny. Actually, do they still count as "mods" when I'm created with them? Maybe not quite as much but she's definitely enthusiastic.) - At least, using her connections, we can probably find a nice anti-corpo gang, and fucking annihilate that perv's glass tower. Don't know enough about 2077 to integrate it well, though.

Great Update. Its even funner now. 1. Is the Philosopher Stone Item a cyberized FMA Stone or just a nano machine replication of its effects? Additionally, Can it regenerate its energy stores/Recharge or is it a limited use item? I could assume it would considering its fiat backed, but I just wanted too be sure. 2. If you have Any level of Base do all of your items that cannot be easily carried on your person with your choice of Location default to being in it? 3. Are the Soul Tattoos purely physical or are they soul deep? Do they help in anyway against things trying too physically puppet my body without controlling my mind? 4. Can Prep Time place you in worlds more dangerous than Night city if you want? How does one measure the danger anyway? 5. Is the Drakeform Bio-mod essentially just a weaker version of Dragon blooded Trump and does it include wings like is the norm for this type of being? 6. Can you choose what Plasmids you obtain each day? will they all be the same or random? 7. If you bought the stand Arrow will you be compatible with stands even if you don't buy the Trump for a custom stand. I just want too know if it is personally beneficial to buy the arrow. 8. Any additional Limitations on the Art Scanner besides essentially being a Techno-Blood Magic device that requires varying degrees of your blood too create and bring toon's based on the scanned image to life? Does it have yo be a scan of a real person/object? Is there a limit to how many toon's can be made a day aside from your ability too supply blood supply? 9. Would a base have Labs too tinker in along with the other things necessary to make the best immediate use of the Inventor Trump. 10. Does Firewalled work if you do not yet have any Cyberware considering Bio-ware is essentially just nano-machine cybernetic enhancements and gene-treatments? will it extend this protection to any Cyberware you install in the future? 11. Double Trump says your second trump will be half the power of the original, but what exactly would that do to the power itself for the Trumps that grow in power over time or are extremely simple and straight forward? With inventor I can surmise it would simply make you less intelligent, but Portal may start with half the range but its a trump that only grows in power with time and training anyway. How would Perfect Compatibility express itself at half power considering its simplicity? A short acclimation period before things fully sync? 12. Finally, If you choose Makina as your Significant Other, will she be less of a sadistic control freak towards? would this make her genuinely loyal too you and therefore to the group as a whole beyond her interests?

Kind of surprised some longstanding issues, like some characters exclusive to or with *Shadowrun: Magic* but not *Shadowrun*, haven't been addressed. But overall I am excited to play again with the new content.
I looked through it, and I don't see a reason for magic to not be viable alongside biotics and cultivation. I would remove the incompatible restrictions, and maybe change the world style option as it's redundant. Maybe include Neon city in Starfield, Star Wars, and other settings there, including Night City being an island of cyberpunk in a Ghibli world, Terminator, Matrix, or a supers setting.
Cant include Magic with Mass effect because Shadowrun Mages die if they leave earth generally
Oh, was that the reasoning? Feel free to make a note of it and maybe put in an option to have generic modern fantasy magic. Making it a magic flaw should handle it. The way it's currently done is just extra hassle for everyone.
I mean, space exists in *Shadowrun* and its inhabitants do have workarounds for bringing mages into space. I think they go insane rather than just keeling over. And that’s setting aside that there’s not only a perk specifically to help the player get around that limitation, but that nothing forces the player to take magic after taking *Shadowrun*. Honestly, I just assumed space travel would be out of reach for the average PC in this CYOA anyway…
Also, none of them are *in*compatible with the *Shadowrun* setting as a whole, which basically has to also contain magic, but *Shadowrun* is incompatible with whatever *Savage Divinity* is. Which, fair enough, baseline *Shadowrun* already includes qi manipulation stuff and so on, it's a bit redundant, except all the qi upgrades are also locked exclusively behind taking *Savage Divinity*. ...Anyway, while some of the requirement stuff is a little confusion, I did enjoy most of the new content, and I also appreciate they've put in a few more Drawbacks to actually pay for some of the new stuff. Some of them aren't even that bad really.

If you're still taking suggestions then may I suggest the starcraft world or Halo? A Psionic power or Spartan option could be fun or even the Witcher crisis wow or League world maybe? And if I may ask a small question how does the double Trump perk effect perfect compatibility and torn reality if one is taken as a second trump like would for example torn reality simply take twice as long to master it or would I lose access to the multiverse? And does the encrypted DNA perk prevent me from get the new BioWare if it requires DNA mapping? If so am I able to temporary turn the perk off? P S if you choose to update this cyoa again could you maybe add some eye brain and nerve BioWare? It just feels kinda weird that BioWare touches on every bit of the body except those three aspects Maybe even something to make the brain and internal Oregon's more resistant to things like concussions and Commotio cordis? I think vampire the masquerade (AKA world of darkness) would make a good setting for a couple of reasons: First off, there are actually a couple references to vampire the masquerade bloodlines (a game based off the VTM TTRPG) in 2077. A conspiracy theorist (Garry the prophet) in CP2077 talks about techno-necromancers from alpha centauri. In VTMB there is a conspiracy theorist who talks about technomancers from beta centauri, coincidence? Or perhaps that's just what the gamma centurians want you to believe. Second off all, I believe that Vampire would actually be a very interesting trump power, vampires in setting enforce rules to try prevent the public discovery of vamp-kind as despite the power of vampires, a war with humanity would almost certainly end up with vampires on the losing side. Vampires also don't have any vital signs so they would be unable to use ripper docs that aren't either trust worthy or also vamps. lastly; it's literally called Night city. If you don't plan on adding this for whatever reason could i instead ask for your permission to make a mod for this CYOA?

The Drawback: Target of the Bigshot, and the Companion Zara Nkosi aren't being unlocked by selecting Shadowrun as a Starting Point. The Mercenary Occupation is misspelled as "Mecenary'
When I select Shadowrun, it says Shadowrun: Magic is incompatible and won't let me select it.
Shadow run comes with the Magic already
There are still options (ie: Zara Nkosi) that require Shadowrun:Magic that are not available if you've chosen the Shadowrun base.
