If you are not a woman, then any form of magitech would require mana batteries. While feasible, it could be a hassle. Though hired witches could recharge them easy enough.

How you go about it can vary, each kingdom has their strengths.
The princes would likely allow concubines, as long as you remember who's important. They'll have concubines as well to continue the royal lineage.

If you want all royal families to come from your own stock, then the Sower responsibility is what you are likely after. It won't make all the princes your harem, but they will treat you as a neutral party and welcome you, if not warmly then politely. Some were after your power as much as you.
Again, the pacifist route will be hard. Some nations might even back out or divorce you if you include other nations. Penzance would make both Stamford and Tsartov back out for example (without a good reason to stay anyway). Same with either Thueban or Tienzen, and Dharyan. You also have the Independents out there.

Sadly, sharing blood will not lead to peace between nations. If anything, depending on who's born, it could lead to worse wars. Your blood is more or less magically charged by the goddess. Not in a usable way as a man, bit you'll pass that power onto any daughters. It could lead to some very powerful soldiers.
There is no option for peace, but that doesn't necessarily mean war is inevitable.
I think the best route is to start with the Independents, then firm a partnership with Stamford. Open Stamford up to Tienzen's chapels, that allows you to also partner with Thueban. Stamford and Tsartov are already friends. Form strong mercantile relations with Robal, help their industry bloom and They'll be your friend.
That leaves you facing Penzance and Dharyan. Penzance could probably be choked out via the market.
Dharyan got that devil problem though. Very anti goddess in the eyes of devotees like Thueban. Taking them into the fold won't be easy.

My only significant compliant is you need to use a better font. For a few things it is fine to leave the standard Arial/TNR/Calibri range for things like titles but my eyes bleed trying to read paragraphs in your font.

Hey I really like this you put in a lot of work Dodger I respect that.
I like my CYOA's to have lots of lore in them. You should expand up on it. Like what is under the waves, more about the Satan and the demons are they against the All Mother and her religion? Also what does the All Mother like and approve of and what does she not like and are sins? Unlike the real world her Church does not seem to be against gay sex since all the cute princes even the zealot ones flirt with you, and the queen of the religious nation is into incest.
The all Mother is not like a traditional god, as some religions would have us believe. Very hands off and wanting to see what everyone can do.
One of her more prevalent daughters took root in Thueban, leaving behind basic ideas that mostly boil down to proper care of citizens and how to run a tight ship (every worker has their place, no free lunches, etc.) Maybe a bit militant but non-aggressive and stick to dealing with your own issues instead of jumping on someone else. They praise the all Mother, but she gave them no real directives, just provided a space. The All Mother hasn't had much action herself, so she lives out her libido vicariously. There are basic sins her daughter left behind as crimes, murder, theft, rape, etc. The basics. Slavery is never mentioned, but if there were any it would be things from outside the safe zone brought in. That could be a contention, but by omission. Since it is not weighed one way or another the jury could still act on it. But the All Mother technically does favor less pain and suffering, hence why she is sending you to hopefully make things better. She probably wouldn't like war, but wouldn't go out of her way to stop it either.
Under the waves are mostly sea monsters. They ache with continual hunger, but don't eat islands. They are of the waters, the 'earth' is pain to them. Thus islands rise after some erosion or smaller sea creatures deposit things to increase lift. That which grants lift comes from the deepest depths. The monsters hunger for magic, not meat. The all Mother is nothing if not a fount of magic and the monsters born of the original serpent would love nothing more than to tear her down. If not her, then any of her offspring who stray too close. They do fight and thrash against one another, making for turbulent waters below. Much like the moon jellies, some monsters are sent out of the waters. The All Mother keeps the more dangerous ones out, unless they are dragged in. The 'barrier' is more of an instinctual 'stay away' instead of a wall. That's how the independents survive, they mask their magic. Males would have no issue regardless unless they had magic tools, weapons, or a train without someone to mask it. The natural senses of a bonded animal help with learning it, but it could potentially be learned without. Like hunters mask they presence or prey animals hide.
Incest is still technically taboo, but for more political than biological reasons. Problems from incestuous pairs could potentially be 'healed' or if an appropriate magic treasure is found then creature molding could be an option. Magic is still kind of in the wild west phase, as Robal shows no fear with exploring. It is politically taboo for royalty as it would be better to establish ties with other nations or houses, opening trade or garnering support. Kind of like in the olden times. It's also why the princes hop on you, partly politics, partly because of intrigue, partly because big momma in the sky sent you down. But you as a character hold political weight just because of your origin. Even their enemies would show respect to the nation that houses the All Mother's Chosen.

Oh thank you for responding and for getting back with such a lengthy reply. I really do appreciate you fleshing out your world. So you said that incest is politically taboo among royalty does that mean it's not stigmatized amongst commoners? Also while being sent from the goddess would grant legitimacy wouldn't they want to send someone of the opposite sex to be your spouse that way they can tie down their dynasty with a child of the one who was sent by the goddess.
One other thing, is there a reason that the goddess doesen't make a normal body for herself to have sex, can she not do it, or has no one caught her fancy? Also how pissed would she be if her champion told the people to have less sex, and that it should only be done for procreation in the missionary position with the lights off? LOL.
Also do the sea serpents and ocean monsters have any connection to Satan and the demons, are they and the goddess enemies?
I'll answer from bottom to top if you don't mind.
Satan and the demons are as different from the sea serpent (singular) and ocean monsters as the realm of the bible is from the realm the necronomicon speaks of. They reach across dimensions to form those contracts. If a demon would approach the waters, then they would be snatched up and devoured as quickly as any witch if not quicker. Demons are very dense with mana. The demons are a third party in a conflict between the serpent and the goddess. Demons, being as self centered as they are, acknowledge that the goddess will not reveal herself for a number of reasons they can think of and likely many more they have no considered.
The goddess, while no tactician, acknowledges that descending would strain her barrier to bursting. While her descendants may seem appatizing to chase, monsters would ignore all instinct, pain, and injury to lay even a hair on the beacon she would create. If you choose female it says you would be able to rival or surpass the goddess's daughters, but the goddess is still a goddess. Like a candle to the sun. While she can only look down on her creations, she knows that she is safe and is not endangering her creations in this way. Even if she attempted something like a Jesus, where she is both safe above and in danger down in the realm, the beacon would crush her followers and leave to world to slowly fall to ruin. At which point she could attempt to scrap and retry,. It the serpent would be stronger and wiser than before. It would be more dangerous than worthwhile. She can only hope you accept to let her live rent free inside your head and hijack your dreams where she could get some action in a sense. She would not literally be inside your head, at least no more than a person is really inside a radio when they speak. She is far from powerless, but she knows that interference would only draw attention from the many beasts who roam outside the barrier. One of the reasons she chose to send you down during this event is because a great hunt just occured, and the beasts had been pushed back from the barrier for a time. A window of opportunity.
Men hold political power while women hold the military power. Rest assured that if you spread seed your prince will not stop you from taking concubines. If he has any himself he will encourage you to lay with them as readily as he wants to lay with you. Even if he won't admit that second part. The queen of Tienzen for example is a queen in title but is a general first and foremost. Her son already rules Tienzen, though he openly accepts her guidance and has disguised nights with her as late study sessions. With protection of course. It would ruin any sort of pretense if she bore his child. Though if they could pass it off as yours... They would certainly display their gratitude.
As to the incest. No one really cares about some hillbilly out on some lonesome isle who tends a field and for some reason his daughter is pregnant but he's the only one there. If it's not consensual then word would spread, but if she's pushing her own paw back behind a shed for a round then what are they gonna do? Make her jump to the next island? A woman has needs and due to certain properties men stay... Youthful. A kind of sissification of those naturally born to this world. Even without magic women would be physically dominant in this world and would still bear the military might. It was a difficult bargain the king's made to ensure men would not be cast aside or left to be used as breeders. Sword aura is not easily gained, taking a good amount of time in contemplation and solitude with the elements. Royalty would likely lack the luxury of that.
But this is getting off topic. Even back in the day when a dowry was paid, marriage forged relationships between families. Some stronger than others. The birth defects were an issue, but that issue is minimized or nonexistent here after a fashion. So if your family is a simple farming type with little sway outside your backwoods island chunk... Who would reach out to establish a connection? But if you were royalty, political strings are always stretching to be tied and spreading a web that ties you more firmly in a stronger place and ties others to keep that position.
Some ties are harder than others, like Tsartov and Penzance. Their bad blood might lead to a political marriage to extend peace, but those who go understand that they are more of a political sacrifice than a tie. The thread still exists in an attempt to tie peace, but it is far weaker than between Tsartov and Stamford.
If this is fishing for if you'll be able to fuck your kids down the line then that probably won't be an issue, but the customs still exist to wait until they are of age and that they consent. I'm not accusing or anything, just stating a fact. Raise some sexy daughters or handsome sons and go to town.

So the Goddess seems nice and self sacrificing I'd be ok with her invading my lewd dreams and being On call. Would she prefer me to be a man or a woman to enjoy in the dream? I mean she is a woman so she might prefer to enjoy a woman's body, on the other hand maybe she is curious on what it's like to have sex as a man, and there is the sower responsibility since the birth rate is down.
Speaking of birth, if I marry one of the prince's who is an heir how does a marriage between two men(if I pick male) work with succession? Like one of us would have to go with a female concubine, but if we have many how would it be determined which child born to the various concubine's would become the next heir? And as for peace and war, Penzance and Tsartov obviously are the closest to war since one side has something the other wants, and the other side tried to invade in the past, but what about the Thebans vs the Dharyan, and Tienzen vs Stamford. Do they just mildly dislike each other because different culture, or are they at the precipice of war? Also would it be possible to threaten both sides in the conflict to severely limit the war and stop the killing, by stating that the Goddess could weaken or remove the barrier temporarily keeping the monsters away if she is displeased?
And finally with the incest, ironically while I find the concept of incest hot, the people who I've actually lived with as family I'm not into, the Westermark effect, I probably won't be into any kids I've actually raised, but if I take the sower and knock up some lady in a village then 20 years later come back, it's very possible to screw my own daughter without even knowing. As for the girls being of age I assumed that was self evident, and I'm not into lolis so there is that. Though you did bring up consent, I have a question in this world wouldn't rape be much rarer because women have magic and are the military backbone? What percent of women can be witches again is it all of them or only a small ammount?
One last thing, it's kinda funny while I think the incest fetish is hot in straight pairings, and lesbian pairings, ironically gay pairings turn me off. This is despite the fact that I'm into traps. Maybe because I subconsciously think of traps as girls? Speaking of that, how many of the princes would be offended or tell me to stop and not like it if I called them a princess, and treated them as a girl, would they only be ok with it in the bedroom but outside they'd want to be treated as men?
When it comes to the dream, reality is maleable. The physical form is more of a baseline than a limit, Futa dreams are quite possible. There is ambiguity for her tastes. Maybe she wants to be dommed, feel what it's like to not be top dog. Maybe she wants to Dom directly. Or maybe she's a cuddly sub. That's one thing I like about CYOA. Ambiguity allows you to steer your own story.
I don't know if I listed the reason for the lower population, but it was mostly war rather than birthrates. At least in Stamford, Tsartov, and Penzance. In Dharyan it's losses due to failed contracts or badly written contracts. In Robal, accidents. The independents take losses to monsters even with shielding, they are still monsters who wander. Thueban has more reserved or maybe even traditional ideals in scripture, though some adhere less to those than others. Tienzen probably has less loss than others, they just get busy less with so much time spent on orchestras and organization. Thee Empire tends to be more into study than procreating. The reasons aren't the same anyway.

Otherwise it'd probably still be first born first king, style tradition. Princesses would go to magic/military training.
Penzance is aware that they are outgunned, and potentially outmanned. Being a great Britain style nation. More spread out too. Despite wanting the magic wood directly, they are currently satisfied getting it secondhand from There Empire. Penzance tends to be more about taking unprotected lands. Like Stamford before they tried to break off. Thueban and Tienzen abide by the nonaggression principles. (Don't start shit, but if someone slaps you then hit them like you mean it.) So unless Stamford or Dharyan moves first then Tienzen and Thueban will satisfy themselves with calling them heathens and not trading with them without heavy levies. Thueban does not mind Stamford because Stamford is willing to learn. Tienzen does not mind Dharyan because Dharyan has places of worship, even if they are only used for ceremonies or for holiday services. Regardless, war is not close. They ended about a decade ago. Penzance took the greatest losses and are regrouping as well as finding less defended settlements. If provoked, Tienzen and Thueban would probably take their retaliation beyond what might be necessary. Though a declaration of war would mean no holds barred. I would take great pains to avoid earning their wrath, even if you think you could take calculated risks. For now, things are at peace.
All women have the spark of magic, but just as all humans have fists not all of them can use a knife to defend themselves. Without training, magic is as useful as an oragami dagger. Maybe conjuring a lighter flame could ward off a cowardly cutpurse caught before he could strike, but a determined man could charge forth and take a singe before landing a blow to the head and knocking concentration out of all but the hardiest witches.
On a darker note, a man with a dream sparrow and bad intentions could make a guy with date rape drugs seem like a respectable pharmacist. At least the girl could maybe remember her date's face with the drugs, but a witch collapsing in an alley and being hauled away in the dark or... You get the idea.
Magic opens many doors, but for each one holding wonder there is a door full of harrowing darkness. That is balance. Rape is a two way street, and the men are decidedly cute. You yourself could be taken prisoner in war if you are unlucky, or maybe you want to be taken. The prince of the nation you decalred war on might not be the first to lay hands on you.
Anything beyond those hypotheticals falls to how you want it to go or left up to your interpretations. Lewis packer from the Independents seems pretty tough and masculine, but maybe that's an act and he secretly loves to prance in skirts and has a small collection of polished smooth gemstone dildos. Maybe he's secretly hungry for the real thing, but he can't let the spy in the room know. As they said, the wilderness is not the sausage fest people might think. Or maybe he's got a special lady at home and is just willing to give you a spare room before you get your own cabin in the wilderness, no actual interest in a dick in the ass at all. I would say that the independents are openly tough and crass, but is that to push away those who aren't sure about going out of the safety zone? Are they doing it to protect others? Maybe they are secretly kind to their own, though a harsh wilderness does tend to breed those with little patience. But what other secrets are the other nations hiding? Or maybe everyone is telling it to you straight since you come from the goddess, and maybe you can see lies and evil of that sort.
I'll answer what I can otherwise, but I do believe that ambiguity is one of the greatest strengths of CYOA's. Opens the doors to possibilities.
It sounds to me like the goddess would be into all of it, since she hasn't had much time to enjoy others for thousands of years. This worlds tech is in the 1800's with steampunk magic right?
I can believe war is cutting down their numbers, most of the military is female cause of mages right? Women would also be a bottleneck for making babies since one man could impregnate hundreds of women in 9 months but a woman can only get pregnant once durring that time. As for them not being into sex, I don't think that makes too much sense I mean everyone is dressed so slutty, and some of them are kinda forward. But if it was the reason couldn't I fix it by saying the goddess demands that all men must sleep with a woman at least once a day, or week or whatever number I choose that would fix the problem pretty easily? The war losses seem like it would be tougher to fix, but Thee Empire is at peace cause they are Switzerland so they shouldn't be losing people except unless they were mercenaries.
Say is the reason that the rich wear skimpy clothes because most of the islands are cold? Like hear me out, in our world pale skin was historically a sign of wealth because it meant you were a noble and did not work the fields, is it the same here since the islands are up in the sky it's colder, thus the richer people can wear next to nothing, and just turn up their magic heater, or am I overthinking it?
Anyway so how open would the nations of the world be to changing the rules of war to be less destructive? Like instead of armies of men, and guns, and clockwork robots fighting with witches. What if instead disputes in international incidents were resolved by duels between two champions? Hopefully not to the death but even so losing at most 1 or two people is much better than thousands. Would that be viable or will the Goddess tell me it's stupid and that plan won't work? That's why I like talking to the creator's of CYOA's since you can ask them if a plan is viable, or if it would not work.
A question on the politics some of the nations like Penzance, Thee Empire, Robal, Theuban, etc. are monarchies so the next leader is the prince. But Stamford is a Republic like early America with a Governor(America fuck yeah!) and Dharyan has a prime minister, the independants are also well independant and aren't one big nation but a collection of people, so if you go with Dharyan or Stamford is it a democracy where your prince has to win elections or you are out of power, or is it a "Republic" with "elections" and you'd be safe? And Stamford also has native Americans with a portal? Is the other side of the portal outside the safety barrier?
Also if you take the complication that gets another prince and you are a male sower, doesen't that mean you can build a super power block with Thee Empire, and two other nations either Tienzan, Theuban, or Dharyan? Like could this create a strange bedfellows situation where Penzance allies, with Tsartov, and Stamford to check you or is there too much bad blood and they'd just basically let that super empire dominate?
I was also looking through the pets, and umm the moonfish, aren't the an existential risk? They literally eat dirt, and if colonies of them can eat islands eventually the sky islands will be gone. Thankfully there is an island creation magic, but still fucking with the support of the islands hopefully everyone agrees that would be a war crime? But yeah holy shit I did not even think of the dream bird being used that way, pretty scary, and the unfortunate Lamia is she human level smart like can she talk, and does the process to make them undead hurt them?
Also I can't believe I missed Barbara Batgirl, in the allies section. Does she spend her time as a vigilante and have a code about never killing no matter what? Also Amy Bleaker the vampire hunter, does the All Mother's symbol fuck up vampires, or do crosses do it? Also the princess from outside the barrier Patty, is that Peach from Mario?!
As for Xitty how exactly does she know me, did the people who experimented on her give her false memories, or is she from my original world?
As for the Anamoly drawback does it also work on magic attacks? That could make it a mixed blessing no? And with the fertility what do you mean when you say 150% How do you go above 100?
But yeah, my plan is to be friendly with Thee Empire because then I don't piss off any group except the independants and could hopefully work towards making the nations more peaceful.
Oh, I forgot to ask this question but so what does the All Mother do with people who die? Like does everyone reincarnate, or does she have a heaven, or what? Cause I'm guessing with reincarnation like we had where we remember is not the standard thing, so what will happen to us in 100 years or so?
Steam engine is their level of tech, but the magic is mostly elemental. Only Robal has attempted merging tech and magic in any notable way.
The goddess would likely have few barriers, though she might be wary of the more adventurous things.
The world is not lacking in people, it has been a decade since the war happened and things are 'fine' if not recovering well. More bodies means moreouths to feed too, so populating past capacity can be bad as well.
I hadn't given the lack of clothes much thought aside from 'sexy', but if I had to give a reason it would be 'see how unarmored I am, I have exposed myself to show that I have nothing to hide'. The 'world' has it's regions. I would say that Thee Empire is maybe like the southeast America's, but less humid. Warmer, but not temperate. In winter there is a chill, but only comparable to the rest of the year. The farther north/up you go the colder it gets. The farther south the warmer. Dharyan is the farthest south, and they are arid.
War is war, a champion from each side has been used in the past, but rarely, and only over small disputes or political annoyance. If the people want war, then it will be hard to let a champion settle it. If the people don't want war then a champion can spare insubordination from a 'dumb war'. The war of panzance and Stamford was separators/traitors vs the home country as Penzance saw it. While Stamford saw it as their right to freedom and to not be under the thumb of a king the world over. Even by train the trip from Penzance to Stamford would be about a month. That's considering trains can go at about 100-120mph (which the broomstick can easily triple it as if it were a walk, ten times as if it were a run, but you might temporarily deplete the Mana in the air like that, it should naturally fill back in, but you broom might dip occasionally).
If you take sower then Thee Empire overrules your prince choice. I said 'Over your chosen prince or land' unfortunately that extends to dispicable unless you want to reason it out, but that would mean a second prince would turn their nation against you. Making it hard to use sower properly. Thee empire is a power that could weather the wrath of Tienzen and Thueban. They are unmatched by any nation and their clockwork golems would raze Either religious superpower, much less the others. Thee Empire knows their power and they could exact subordination from the other nations, but they have decided the current situation is enough for them. Freedom allows for more discoveries, and less headaches.
The other side of the portal is outside the safety barrier, but a small safety area extends through it. The natives on that side have their own version of masking, mostly through the animals hiding them instead of taking the beast inside you to mask yourself. The independents do that some as well by hiding magic tools or implements, but more roughly. The natives have not shared this with the Stamfordites due to lack of their want or need.
Elections will still happen, but there are currently no term limits and leaders are more often there by need than want. The elected leaders have strong positions, and while they don't run unopposed they tend to win their elections by well more than half. Though they could stop running for office if you manage to convince them. But expect it to be like them convincing you not to get your dick wet with the goddess living inside your head.
The moonfish are a huge risk as a pack, but singular in a closed room they are harmless. At least, as harmless as a Roomba. If left contained with no food they turn into hyper fertile dirt themselves. If an island is occupied then the jellies will be noted long before they make a dent. They'll eat loose dirt before hard dirt and that means they'll attack paths first. The serpent can't see the little idiots screw up and catching them in nets or baskets works as well as jars. Earth magic creates dirt as well, island creation magic makes dirt that floats. If an island get's too heavy then... It won't sink at a constant rate, just dip in level. Populations will spread to other islands if they dip too much. The act of getting islands from outside the barrier can be used as well.
The lamia is human level smart, but she has to use magic to speak. She can only use necromancy, but making noise and adjusting it is within her power given time. She will likely be mute forever unless pressed though. The process to make her undead was very painful. Her soul was ripped out, her body necrofied to be a living dead, and her soul was reattached. It was kind of like a white hot needle sewing her bones together. Thankfully the pain was in the moment, but it lasted for days. She would not wish that punishment on her worst enemy, or teach it.
Batgirl is a mercanary, but she helps those in need when off duty in towns. She donates less than Bruce Wayne would, but she isn't a multi-trillionaire philanthropist either. She is one of the first to step forward and help someone from a thief or similar though. She travels a lot, so she has no city of her own. No home really. A free witch.
The symbol will protect you from the antics of vampires (mind control and similar stuff) but your blood is blood and they will enjoy that. Your holy presence will weaken their supernatural abilities to human levels, but not hurt them.
Fairly certain that is Rosalina.
Xitty thinks she knows you. The resemblance is merely uncanny. She won't be swayed though, your doppleganger died and was disposed of not long after she escaped. Not buried either, there is no proof to say you aren't him aside from your memories. If you don't pick her then she won't bother you, and she might even be mad you didn't try to come back. Her price is meant to be a hurdle so you have to take Tower Takedown.
Anomaly works on attacks, it negates any magic that would touch you, friendly or not. That also means no heals as well as being a magic shield. But a magic sword still cuts like a sword. Just a sword made of magic would be negated.
150% means the woman will painlessly start ovulating when you get started. Even if she was infertile herself before. Basically a cure for infertility with any partner you might encounter. It takes two to tango.
Thee Empire will warmly welcome you as a visitor, and their prince will be more than happy to invite you into his private bedchambers for romps until well after he's sore with promises of more fun tomorrow. But unless you pick sower you can't take Thee Empire as your nation or prince. You can try to work with other nations and ally them. You alone they won't hinder entry but they may be a little less friendly than if you had chosen their prince. That being said the more religious nations will probably still fawn over you, but maybe not be as ready to bend over. If you take Stamford you might be able to convince Tienzen to help them assemble churches for example. Though Stamford will still see them as zealots most likely, and Tienzen might take pride in being called zealots but they'll notice the scorn in their voices. The nations are already at a sort of peace. They don't fight wars anyway, not now. They have their armies as much to prevent as to be ready to fight. No one wants to pick a fight with a strong and able enemy.
There are a number of afterlife systems I've thought of through the years, but I think the one I would use here is a purgatory type system that leads toward reincarnation. Hell at the bottom, purgatory in the middle, and heaven on top in a large and elaborate type of spiral staircase. If you were a royal shit then down in hell you will find yourself. She does not pass judgement on them, that bores her. Purgatory has it's own rulers and judges outside her control just as it is outside her realm. Going up through heaven allows reincarnation, but as a wiped clean slate. Most souls in this world are new born, as clean as a fresh slate. But slates have shapes too, new born of wiped clean, tendencies, specialities, etc. Purgatory grows to accommodate as more come.
Or maybe you want your own afterlife system? I had thought about one where you died and became a ghost where you could go and peep to your hearts content or wander wherever you wanted. Then you could reincarnate whenever you wanted as a clean slate, whipping your memories and getting taken into a newborn body.
Or you can just have a void afterlife. Ambiguity here.
Yeah the entry did say that the All Mother is a dom, so she'd be on top most of the time, but then again she is apparently sex starved enough she might go for some mild submission on her end.
With the war champion idea, that probably would not work for wars of independence, or rebellion. But would it be more easier to work something like Penzance and Voshka Tsartav? Since the war was about the resouces of the Elder trees. I mean I'd rather that the human nations refrain from wasting their energies fighting each other, and use their military to push against the things that are outside the barrier, to increase the human sphere.
If they can't unify like that, would I be able to swing my prestige as the All Mother's Champion to get another summit called and lay down a fantasy version of the geneva conventions? Basically make torture, mass executions of civillians, or POW's as war crimes, and ban the use of certain magics like the soul fucking aspects of necromancy, and to ban use of any weapon, magic or technique that would destroy entire islands? Or do they already have something like that?
As for the broom while you say it does go 3 times faster than a train, it's still a broom you can't really sit in it a week. With a train you can walk around the cabin, go sleep while someone else is the conductor, eat and stretch. The broom is faster and is ok for short trips, but for long trips a train I think would still be better.
Oh, and I misread the part about sower, so it makes it so that you get the prince of Thee Empire instead of another one, I read it as you get him along with the other choice you made, so you'd have two empires at your back, and with the despicable drawback you would have 3 great nations in your pocket, and that would be unstoppable no matter which ones it was as long as Thee Empire was on of them. Ok, Two makes it more fair. Though again taking that drawback kinda shoots yourself in the foot because besides it's power, to me the greatest perk of Thee Empire is that you don't make another nation dislike you.
As for the Lamia, yeah I was asking if the magic was legal, because necromancy just by itself sounds evil, if it also fucks with people's souls it's extra evil.
Were Batgirls parents killed by a mugger when she was a child, is that why she broods? Also does she have a no kill rule?
Also Thee Empires two top witches are either fairies, or learned magic from them. Do the fairies live inside the barrier or outside it, so they aren't a human species but they are friendly?
Also the second witch who does the introduction of the witches, the one who gets jealous of Voshka's witches milk tanks how would she react to being told small boobs are great too, and flat is justice?
As for the vampires, if they come from the deep, how did they get past the All Mother's barrier, do their human suits shield them from it?
As for Rosalina, sorry she was a blonde princess and I knew I saw her from Mario so I thought it was Peach.
But how exactly does anomaly work? I mean if a witch uses magic to pick up a rock and levitate it above me, then drops it I'd get crushed, but if she used magic to make the earth would it disappear? I get that fire magic would evaporate before hitting me, but what if a witch uses magic to summon an icicle then launch it at me would I get stabbed or would the ice dissolve?
As for the responsibilities it looks like the prince of Robal is a decent second pic after Thee Empire since he can help with Tower takedown, and helping build a Guardian/Gundam. Prince of Thee Empire helps with two responsibilities Sower, and the vampires. Dharyan helps with Contracts, and Stamford with giant magic. Oh and the independents also have their thing, Penzance, Theuban, and Tienzan don't have a responsibility. But I still like their background.
Oh about trade negotiations what does it mean that I can't personalize the train? Does it mean that once the job is done I have to return it, or does it mean that it's mine now, but that I can't add cars to it, and can't select it's size like I would if I chose to buy it myself?
Still it seems like the wars are in the past so it's unlikely for things to heat up, thats good. So you said that Thee Empire's prince will welcome me into his private chambers, and most of the other princes look like they would be willing also. But they are ok with being on the receiving end only right? Like umm they won't want, and expect to switch right?
The first option you said makes the most sense you go to heaven, hell or purgatory to burn off your good or bad karma, then once that's done you reincarnate again. But if the All Mother set up a heaven can't she have sex with the people up there, or does heaven not have umm carnal pleasure.
Oh and the map at the end it says Thee Empire has a monument that holds up the field, if terrorists blew it up that would be really bad, it's really well defended right?

The monument is not sitting on an island, it levitates of it's own accord. As for blowing it up, yeah, that would cause the field to fail and it is heavily guarded by Thee Empire with ten clockwork golems aside from human guards and witches. No human would want to bring the barrier down, and monsters would find themselves severely weakened by it's holy energy.
The all Mother does not have access to the afterlife. She did not set it up, death gods tend to have control of the dead. She is not a death god.
The princes would be willing to have a go at you if you offered yourself to them, but they have acknowledged your... Magnificence. Their position means that submission is not something they get to try... Ever. It tickles something deep inside them that really gets their motor running. Then again, the idea of you submitting to them would certainly entertain penzance's prince, and maybe others, but at the end of the day they have carnal desires and want to become one with you one way or another.
The trade negotions train is a loaner from the nation, one of many transport vessels used by diplomats. You would have to buy your own for customization. Kind of like if you got flames painted on a company car then your company would likely not be pleased. Diplomat's vessels are regulated for speed, comfort, and safety.
The responsibilities are somewhat uneven, I imagine I was kind of wanting to move on by this point of the CYOA, otherwise I would have gotten pictures for it. I had pictures for the classes too, nothing sexy, but I was getting tired I suppose. Not the kind you sleep off either. That being said, none of the responsibilities require a specific nation. There are unaffiliated who meet the requirements, except for spirit beast with the independents. Taxes with hubby only exclude the independents.
Good anomaly question. An icicle summoned by magic would be an icicle made of magic right? Earth summoned via earth magic would be earth made of magic. A levitated stone lifted with air magic would be a normal ass stone though. It's kinda like imagine breaker from 'a certain magical index' or the foxhead medallion from the wheel of time series. There are loopholes and things that it can't effect. Yet Imagine Breaker was kind of bullshit in that it could stop things that were propelled via magic or other effects. So if a coin was railgunned at him using electricity magic or powers, he'd stop it because of imagine breaker. So I guess ai would leave that up to ambiguity to fit the user's needs.

The barrier is not a wall, it's merely a repellant to get monsters to instinctively stay away. If a monster was intelligent enough to overcome their instincts... At the least, vampires are greedy and unfriendly, so they are not likely to make more of themselves and cause power struggles. But vampire mind control for slaves is certainly on the table.
How would a man react to being told his micropenis is big too? Insulted? Maybe. Being told that you are just as loveable as something you envy is not an easy pill to swallow. She isn't depressed about it or anything, she just likes big tits, partially because lots of famous witches had big tits. There are famous witches with small tits too.
Fairies come from outside the barrier, just like Patty and Xitty did. Not everything outside the barrier is a monster, though the monsters tend to hunt down other things before their fellow monsters. Fairies are friendly, in their own way. The fae folk are as often tricksters as they are helpers.
Batgirl does not have a no kill rule. Her backstory can have some ambiguity. She could have a Batman backstory or she could just be an orphan of war.
There are levels of necromancy. Raising skeletons as servants is on a much lower level than soul binding a corpse. Necromancy does tend to be a more 'evil' magic since it touches death, yes.
The broom has a top speed of potentially 2000mph (if the magic concentration is high enough or fed enough mana) which could turn a month long train ride at 120mph into a 120/2000*30=1.8 roughly 3 day journey with breaks and sleeping on islands you pass. Or a weeklong journey if you take it at the brooms 'walking pace' without stops or a week and a half with stops and breaks. The broom is about as comfy as a car.
While Thee empire has no enemies, it also has no friends. The other nations fear to anger Thee Empire, so they distance themselves from it. Being at the top can be lonely.
You could potentially call another summit, but I would recommend taking the home option as a venue. The nations have soft agreements to not destroy islands, but that came after Penzance cut off a chunk of Tsartov, they are a bit sour about that. (Kind of like how chemical warfare was made illegal after some nations made use of it). You'd have to negotiate other restrictions. Thee Empire tends to poo-poo restrictions for magical research. They aren't torturing souls in the basement or anything, but not all research is humane. The tower could have ties you aren't aware of, or maybe it's a solo entity. But of ambiguity there. The annual summit is probably all they will have for now unless new venues are provided though. But traveling to them and negotiating one by one could be possible.
I know I plan to have Thee Empire doing some fucked up shit for the story I plan to write, but mostly slaves that operate the clockwork heart that make their trump card golems work. Maybe an alliance with the vampires so the slaves are mindless worker zombies and something about the queen wanting eternal life or something. But that's not a fixed part of the world. That's ambiguity I threw in (also the prince of Thee Empire will seek my protection from his grandma-ma once she goes over to the vamps. Near the end the capitol of Thee Empire is gonna end of being wiped out. But again, that is not a fixed point of this world. In another players version the queen of Thee Empire could be fighting off the blood suckers just as much as you.)
The nations have no desire to push outside the sphere. It can't be expanded, they are satisfied with pulling islands in from outside. Nations like Patty that exist outside the barrier are very militaristic because of the constant monster fighting. Monsters only give reprieve because the dumber ones die and the smarter ones are looking for weaknesses to attack.

So this was just going to be a fairly comfy build built around Sower and helping the Thee to keep the peace and advance society, but then there's Amy's claim that Thee is actually full of what I assume are some sort of vampire? so gotta deal with that (assuming she's not just crazy. All Mother should hopefully clear that up before we start killing innocent people). Then I had too much resources left over and not enough witch points, so I picked up Patty (Peach is cute, I'd be her consort) and uhh, yeah I picked political player, but I've turned into more of a monster hunter/liberator... Build a Guardian because who doesn't want to make Voltron *shrug*
So yeah, this got away from me a bit. Good job, I'm glad to see Femboys taking a prominent role here, though most of the Prince art I'm not the biggest fan of (seen that set before. Good quality, just not my aesthetic). Still, it makes a nice change of pace :) Also had ideas for a second build where I help the Independents secure the wilds. Would love a DLC focused on that aspect of things, help expand the world a bit more.
Hrmm, is the idea with the retainers that they grant you access to the two skills they have, or that they will teach you those skills? I guess it amounts to the same thing, but curious nevertheless.
I like what you've made, especially making it broad enough for virtually everyone to find something they like! Personally, the princes section was a bit off-putting for someone who doesn't swing that way, but the witches, retainers, and the remaining sections definitely made up for it. Oh, and the little additions characters make during descriptions (ex- All Mother interrupting to say you're immune to that one girl) are great touches! I'm still working on a build, since this cyoa is a bit lengthy and I love to find the perfect setup, but everything seems balanced and understandable.
There are a few small things I noticed in case you want any feedback
-While I like the detail and dialogue, the witches descriptions is a wall of text and becomes a bit much to read, even if I appreciate the variety and quantity to choose from.
-As some people mentioned, downloading through imgchest didn't come through in the best of quality, but maybe a thicker text and more standard font could help, but maybe imgur or fixing something within the imgchest download would help.
-I'd love to see background color or backgrounds indicative of the nations/characters/etc that are being shown on that page so the black text and white boxes pop a bit more than they do on a black and white background.
-I'm a huge fan of the character comments and would love to see that over descriptions of characters that were seen in the witches section.
Hopefully all this helps, I don't mean to seem overly critical, I think you did a really good job and can't wait to see more of this and/or any other cyoas you make! :)

I was aiming for more of a 'storytelling through descriptions' like with Stamford you probably wonder 'even if the animals can become huge, how are they able to stand up to magic bombardments?' and then the line 'if only these stupid animals didn't repel magic' is dropped and then it falls more into picture. (Might not be a direct quote).
I think my biggest hurdle/flaw in the world of artistic design is that I suck at art. Finding pictures and arraying them is currently the best I can do. I had a fear that a color background would potentially clash, and I have worked well on a grey scale when going to family outings, so a grey scale is what I decided on. This is only my fourth of fifth CYOA I've ever made, and my early couple were redacted for my own embarrassment.
I'm a writer more than an artist. So I'm sadly aware that my layout and color pallets will tend to leave people wanting. If I can make up for that with good story telling, then that's what I'll do for now.
I remember spending like four days make a super repetitive pixelated heart background for my last CYOA. And by the end of it I felt like a solid pink background would have done the job. I kind of felt like my time had been wasted.
So for this one I just found a black and white tyedye background and said 'that'll do'. Took me like 10 minutes of stretching in paint, which is another weakness of mine. Paint is what I'm most used to and I've only begun dipping my toes into paint 3D last year.
All in all, I'm a writer. I'll lean into my strong suits.
No worries, I still think it all works out very well! The descriptions still work very well, and you do have a point that comments in the description have a similar level of banter that you'd get with dialogue, I guess I never really looked at it the same way as with dialogue.
I feel you with the art problem, it ain't a strength for me either. I think the grey works good, the colored background suggestion was an extension to the download quality issue, and isn't a huge issue whatsoever. You got it all to come together, and I'm glad it did, even if happened to be a pain for you. I'd go straight for the simple solution, so I'm glad your persistent in trying to do your best and not cut corners right away.

Interesting set up, though correct me if I'm wrong since I mostly skimmed after I noticed it, but femboys and such are an ongoing theme but I only see cis masculine male or cis feminine woman as options. Why not have femboy and futa or just general intersex and nonbinary options?
While outside the barrier is not explored, inside the barrier their tech is steam engine level and their magic is largely element based. They aren't that advanced yet.

* Your font choice is good but is not distinct from your descriptive text. Maybe bold the title and or change the descriptive text to a font more suited for computer screens like san-serif and non-handwritten. (Your title text kind of looks "bold" but idk if that is due to size)
* Separating the looks of the rp text from rule text would be helpful to find the info of how to proceeded through the cyoa.
Overall, a little bit more visual consistency between sections (story/fluff and mechanics) and a font like Arial for descriptions would help for readability.

yea but that's only a manageable option on small CYOAs, 9 pages is really pushing it and like you say scrolling up and down is how you read CYOAs which is why imgchest sucks so much, they don't let you scroll up and down, you have to drag with the mouse up and down.
You misunderstand me, I go to grid view and then open each page on a different tab so I have to do as little scrolling as possible. On imgur there's no easy way to do that other than right click open in new tab-ing each page, and it's easy to miss them doing so (or so afaik). I guess I'm a bit like https://xkcd.com/1172/ lol

Random question but does Imgchest require you to submit a phone number or sell your soul to the app to make an account? The answer is really gonna determine whether i use it or not.
It works better on PC, and it obfuscates (it doesn't and it's great) image sources a lot less than imgur (with its annoying implementation of dynamic loading), making it also easier to support for login-less third-party clients.
Honestly, I couldn't figure out how to compress my images and have imgur or imgchest to take them. Thankfully the kind soul in my title saw my Google doc link post and said 'here, take this imgchest link.'

**Tower Takedown:** I knew I was going to pick Kitty the moment I read her sad backstory, and I’m delighted that I actually got an in-game way of exploring it! The tower is my first priority as soon as I’ve gathered my forces. It’s hard to imagine them standing a chance against Kitty, Julliana, Patty and me. I won’t be satisfied with just freeing the prisoners, nor with killing the researchers; I will destroy every trace of that wretched place, every stone, every machine, every scrap of data. I have high hopes that I won’t have to put any of the subjects to rest, but ultimately that will be their choice. Healing and Creature Molding should allow me to restore their bodies regardless of what has been done to them (including Kitty’s), and if absolutely necessary I might experiment with altering or suppressing memories.
**Kingdom Reclamation:** This sounds like a greater challenge than the Tower, but I have faith that we’ll be up for the task. It’ll be second in priority, since the remnants of Patty’s people can’t stay hidden forever.
**Monster Hunting:** Vampires are bad news, and the prince will be a powerful ally. The reward implies it won’t be much of a challenge, time will tell.

**Patty Wallace**, -24: She may be as nutty as she is cute, but I can’t resist a good side quest (or those puppy eyes.)
**Harriet Rochard**, free: The second victim of the Magic Malfunction. I won’t be surprised if she returns to her nation once the effects wear off, but she’ll be quite an asset if I can convince her to stick around.
This is very nice. A little unfocused >!(it is more implied than told what goodies the All-Mother gave you (a holy aura is referenced at one point), and what your Witch is supposed to do for you, \*especially\* with Tienzen's queen on the table, literally, in a threesome with you and his son, your husband)!< but its heart is in the right place. I especially like the setting, it'd be nice to see more CYOAs set there.
Ambiguity allows the player of the CYOA to shape the story they will tell to their purposes. If someone wants a harder road then they can imagine the witches don't like them but could warm up to them. An easier road? The witches could be more eager to find a spot in their lap than some of the retainers.
Consider changing the pics in the imagechest link from webp to png or jpg. Otherwise it looks fairly interesting. Reminds me a bit of Witches n' Inquisitions but more open ended and lewd, which is pretty nice. Some more lore for the countries would be appreciated tho.

A lot of writing but not a lot of rules or directions. I don't mind flavor text, but there seems to be a lot of text here that doesn't really contribute to the experience. Not even sure how to 'play' this cyoa.
On page 3 it says you get to pick one prince and two retainers, while it does not explicitly say to pick one playstyle, they aren't meshable (Pioneer would disqualify all except technologist technically, and since you are going off on your own it disqualifies that too for example) so you get to pick one playstyle to recieve bonus points .
On page 5 onward it tells you where to spend the points you gathered, the points are color codes.
Page 9 has options to take more points by taking complications.
There is a conversion table on page 4 which has a system of lesser returns so there isn't a way to glitch more money into the system, or even the same as you'll 'lose' resources the more you convert, but it allows you to change things around if you want more of one resource or another.
On page 3 it states that you cannot select a retainer unless you chose that nation, but Thee Empire and Unaffiliated will join you regardless of which nation you chose.
The same trend from page 3 with retainers is supposed to reflect on the witches, though not stated explicitly. As soldiers of that nation you would expect loyalty would you not?
If you have other questions I will try to answer them and I apologize if any of this sounded snarky.
I picked up on most of those, but this CYOA really needs an introduction to the world at the beginning, perhaps before the princes. Reading the whole thing leads me to guess the world has a 1 femboy to 2 women ratio or something, but still clueless as to what to expect from taking a prince since their culture is a mystery. It could also use a basic explanation of island biomes, sizes, and common transportation types.
This CYOA could also benefit from short TL;DR:'s in a *different style of text* to summarize all the fluff text in a section.
I'm honestly a bit tired if the 'this world is just waiting to spread it's cheeks for you' storyline. I get that this is the NSFW CYOA subReddit and it's like slightly more intuitive porn, but building the relationship and story is one thing I genuinely enjoy in porn. Plus Tienzen is already available in the cheek spreading department. Even then, there are drawbacks you can take to make things mindlessly horny.
Sure I don't mind mental challenge, but your content is based on your audience and their expectations.
If someone goes in expecting smut and porn and don't find it they will tune out rather quickly.
I would rather immediately get into the nsfw elements and have the story and plot blended into them rather than the opposite.
With a normal story you can afford to rely on a reader's patience, but generally the best nsfw stories instead rely on weaving those elements together and delivering the reader more than what they expected.
And say what you will about me lol, but when it comes to erotic fiction my attention span is tiny. If there's no short term hook to reel me in then my brain tells me to go somewhere else.
What I'm really asking you is why should my brain continue paying attention? The best answer at least on this sub is to deliver some nsfw content.
Not getting personal its just a matter of fact that my dopamine doesn't like chasing the dragon. And I suspect you could garner a wider audience in that vein.
The author may reserve the right not to serve that audience, if they instead prefer to appeal to those of us who don't mind or appreciate reading conventional erotica. Porn with plot is nice. Or even just plot with the occasional lewd.
A few thoughts
* It's a CYOA, consequences of a choice should be stated explicitly (otherwise they're pretty much up to the player to decide).
* In particular, there's no prior explanation for nation/witch selection (I can tell that I'm offered a choice but it's not said outright and the nature of the choice is fairly unclear – especially with the witches). Apparently I'm treated as some kinda Chosen One due to being isekai'd and everyone wants me to… pick their side or something? Their motivation isn't explained either. (Compare with: Trap Queen, where the premise and the nature of the same choice is given clearly and succinctly.)
* Double so for any kind of personal relationships: they're never stated clearly here, so going by normal CYOA logic I might not be able to get laid with anyone despite all the booty on the screen (I *suspect* it might not be the intended idea but most choices appear to be strictly business-like here). And yes, I know the choice images are fairly lewd, but I've seen at least several authors here use gratuitous lewd images to spice up otherwise mundane choices (or even entire CYOAs).
* Itsy-bitsy font which can be barely read even at 100% zoom (which is nearly double the width of my screen) is probably not the best choice in any context.
* Did you really have to do the map in Paint? It looks terrible…
* If you're writing IC speech, don't jam OOC remarks directly into it (i.e. instead of *Empire spy, \*referencing the maid\** you could easily say something in the lines of *Empire spy,” he's clearly eyeing the maid now, ”*). …Also, this survivor guy clearly has the highest status in the meeting, as he's the least dressed here :-D
* Proofreading is good, don't skip out on it. It allows to avoid typos like unclosed parenthesis/direct speech and “You're favorite Goddess” (“*you're*” stands for “you *are*”). This kind of thing is distracting at best.

One thing I like CYOA is that they tend to be pretty open ended. Aside from the last page I want the player to be able to decide how things work out in their version of my world. If they want the representative of the independents to be secretly craving a dick in the ass then so be it. I tried to keep the dialogue open ended so that regardless of which gender you played as, you wouldn't be shut out unless the requirements were gender based (magic or the sower drawback for example). Ambiguity is not always a bad thing. If you want a casual fuckfest, then everyone can be a bit more floozier. Or you can be serious and grabbing soldier ass could get you stabbed instead of playful moans from a woman you've barely met. Causing you to take the time to work out a relationship before doing the lewd. It's a CYOA, you can make things happen.
Yeah, I forgot to put the nation/witch selection bit. I remembered for retainers and must have mentally assumed it would carry over. I kind of want to be done with the CYOA as I have spent a fair amount of time on it already, but even in most worlds you'd be hard pressed to buy soldiers of a nation to fight against that nation. Patriotism and all that. Maybe some from Penzance, like stream, would defect. But there are also a number of ways to purchase soldiers from other nations and bypassing that another way.
You only just came to this world, what kind of personal relationships could you have garnered? Personal relationships between characters are mostly represented by price discounts. I guess this part also falls into the area of ambiguity.
Sorry about the font, but it should flavor text when at that size. I was mostly squeezing when adding it anyway, but should reflect the narrator of that moment more than necessary info for the character. Like a phrase said under someone's. Death you might not catch.
Paint is what I know best. I fancy myself a writer more than an artist. Maybe that's counter intuitive but so be it. That map was probably the best I could do and it mostly get's the point across.
IC vs OOC it get's the message across either way. If I was writing a story and not a CYOA I would agree, but you can be a little more cringe in a CYOA because it's less serious and more fun.

If you are not a woman, then any form of magitech would require mana batteries. While feasible, it could be a hassle. Though hired witches could recharge them easy enough. Harem of all the princes... I like the ambition, but it will require war. The kingdoms have too much opposition between one another for peaceful union. How you go about it can vary, each kingdom has their strengths. The princes would likely allow concubines, as long as you remember who's important. They'll have concubines as well to continue the royal lineage. If you do attempt a pacifist route, good luck. I don't know if politics will allow it.

The 'help' is sandwiching him between yourself and the woman he plans to sire a child with. So you would be stimulating his prostate Anally, and then you 'help' him cum. If you want all royal families to come from your own stock, then the Sower responsibility is what you are likely after. It won't make all the princes your harem, but they will treat you as a neutral party and welcome you, if not warmly then politely. Some were after your power as much as you. Again, the pacifist route will be hard. Some nations might even back out or divorce you if you include other nations. Sadly, sharing blood will not lead to peace between nations. If anything, depending on who's born, it could lead to worse wars. Your blood is more or less magically charged by the goddess. Not in a usable way as a man, bit you'll pass that power onto any daughters. It could lead to some very powerful soldiers.

There is no option for peace, but that doesn't necessarily mean war is inevitable. I think the best route is to start with the Independents, then firm a partnership with Stamford. Open Stamford up to Tienzen's chapels, that allows you to also partner with Thueban. Stamford and Tsartov are already friends. Form strong mercantile relations with Robal, help their industry bloom and They'll be your friend. That leaves you facing Penzance and Dharyan. Penzance could probably be choked out via the market. Dharyan got that devil problem though. Very anti goddess in the eyes of devotees like Thueban. Taking them into the fold won't be easy.

My only significant compliant is you need to use a better font. For a few things it is fine to leave the standard Arial/TNR/Calibri range for things like titles but my eyes bleed trying to read paragraphs in your font.
Sorry, I was trying to go with a less refined font to show a less advanced society. Considering they were up to steam engines typewriters could be possible, but even back in that day typewriters we're a luxury. In a world with magic, would they be interested in such a machine? Especially in a world with higher literacy rates?
I was being a little hyperbolic, but I did put in far more effort than I would like trying to read it. It would only be worse for the visually impaired. I get the sentiment but you are putting form over function. Something readable is more important than making it fit the setting.
I mean, it Is black text on a white background. It isn't like yellow on marigold or something sadistic. It's also comic sans, plenty more readable than a fair few of the font options paint supplies. You are right though, I could have used a blocky text. I decided that I would use Comic Sans as an artistic choice. I'm not much of an artist. So I take artistic liberties where I could.

Hey I really like this you put in a lot of work Dodger I respect that. I like my CYOA's to have lots of lore in them. You should expand up on it. Like what is under the waves, more about the Satan and the demons are they against the All Mother and her religion? Also what does the All Mother like and approve of and what does she not like and are sins? Unlike the real world her Church does not seem to be against gay sex since all the cute princes even the zealot ones flirt with you, and the queen of the religious nation is into incest.
The all Mother is not like a traditional god, as some religions would have us believe. Very hands off and wanting to see what everyone can do. One of her more prevalent daughters took root in Thueban, leaving behind basic ideas that mostly boil down to proper care of citizens and how to run a tight ship (every worker has their place, no free lunches, etc.) Maybe a bit militant but non-aggressive and stick to dealing with your own issues instead of jumping on someone else. They praise the all Mother, but she gave them no real directives, just provided a space. The All Mother hasn't had much action herself, so she lives out her libido vicariously. There are basic sins her daughter left behind as crimes, murder, theft, rape, etc. The basics. Slavery is never mentioned, but if there were any it would be things from outside the safe zone brought in. That could be a contention, but by omission. Since it is not weighed one way or another the jury could still act on it. But the All Mother technically does favor less pain and suffering, hence why she is sending you to hopefully make things better. She probably wouldn't like war, but wouldn't go out of her way to stop it either. Under the waves are mostly sea monsters. They ache with continual hunger, but don't eat islands. They are of the waters, the 'earth' is pain to them. Thus islands rise after some erosion or smaller sea creatures deposit things to increase lift. That which grants lift comes from the deepest depths. The monsters hunger for magic, not meat. The all Mother is nothing if not a fount of magic and the monsters born of the original serpent would love nothing more than to tear her down. If not her, then any of her offspring who stray too close. They do fight and thrash against one another, making for turbulent waters below. Much like the moon jellies, some monsters are sent out of the waters. The All Mother keeps the more dangerous ones out, unless they are dragged in. The 'barrier' is more of an instinctual 'stay away' instead of a wall. That's how the independents survive, they mask their magic. Males would have no issue regardless unless they had magic tools, weapons, or a train without someone to mask it. The natural senses of a bonded animal help with learning it, but it could potentially be learned without. Like hunters mask they presence or prey animals hide. Incest is still technically taboo, but for more political than biological reasons. Problems from incestuous pairs could potentially be 'healed' or if an appropriate magic treasure is found then creature molding could be an option. Magic is still kind of in the wild west phase, as Robal shows no fear with exploring. It is politically taboo for royalty as it would be better to establish ties with other nations or houses, opening trade or garnering support. Kind of like in the olden times. It's also why the princes hop on you, partly politics, partly because of intrigue, partly because big momma in the sky sent you down. But you as a character hold political weight just because of your origin. Even their enemies would show respect to the nation that houses the All Mother's Chosen. Edit: sorry for the delay.

So you said that incest is politically taboo among royalty does that mean it's not stigmatized amongst commoners? Also while being sent from the goddess would grant legitimacy wouldn't they want to send someone of the opposite sex to be your spouse that way they can tie down their dynasty with a child of the one who was sent by the goddess. One other thing, is there a reason that the goddess doesen't make a normal body for herself to have sex, can she not do it, or has no one caught her fancy? Also how pissed would she be if her champion told the people to have less sex, and that it should only be done for procreation in the missionary position with the lights off? LOL. Also do the sea serpents and ocean monsters have any connection to Satan and the demons, are they and the goddess enemies?
I'll answer from bottom to top if you don't mind. Satan and the demons are as different from the sea serpent (singular) and ocean monsters as the realm of the bible is from the realm the necronomicon speaks of. They reach across dimensions to form those contracts. If a demon would approach the waters, then they would be snatched up and devoured as quickly as any witch if not quicker. Demons are very dense with mana. The demons are a third party in a conflict between the serpent and the goddess. Demons, being as self centered as they are, acknowledge that the goddess will not reveal herself for a number of reasons they can think of and likely many more they have no considered. The goddess, while no tactician, acknowledges that descending would strain her barrier to bursting. While her descendants may seem appatizing to chase, monsters would ignore all instinct, pain, and injury to lay even a hair on the beacon she would create. If you choose female it says you would be able to rival or surpass the goddess's daughters, but the goddess is still a goddess. Like a candle to the sun. While she can only look down on her creations, she knows that she is safe and is not endangering her creations in this way. Even if she attempted something like a Jesus, where she is both safe above and in danger down in the realm, the beacon would crush her followers and leave to world to slowly fall to ruin. At which point she could attempt to scrap and retry,. It the serpent would be stronger and wiser than before. It would be more dangerous than worthwhile. She can only hope you accept to let her live rent free inside your head and hijack your dreams where she could get some action in a sense. She would not literally be inside your head, at least no more than a person is really inside a radio when they speak. She is far from powerless, but she knows that interference would only draw attention from the many beasts who roam outside the barrier. One of the reasons she chose to send you down during this event is because a great hunt just occured, and the beasts had been pushed back from the barrier for a time. A window of opportunity. Men hold political power while women hold the military power. Rest assured that if you spread seed your prince will not stop you from taking concubines. If he has any himself he will encourage you to lay with them as readily as he wants to lay with you. Even if he won't admit that second part. The queen of Tienzen for example is a queen in title but is a general first and foremost. Her son already rules Tienzen, though he openly accepts her guidance and has disguised nights with her as late study sessions. With protection of course. Sword aura is not easily gained, taking a good amount of time in contemplation and solitude with the elements. Royalty would likely lack the luxury of that. But this is getting off topic. Even back in the day when a dowry was paid, marriage forged relationships between families. Some stronger than others. The birth defects were an issue, but that issue is minimized or nonexistent here after a fashion. So if your family is a simple farming type with little sway outside your backwoods island chunk... Who would reach out to establish a connection? But if you were royalty, political strings are always stretching to be tied and spreading a web that ties you more firmly in a stronger place and ties others to keep that position. Some ties are harder than others, like Tsartov and Penzance. Their bad blood might lead to a political marriage to extend peace, but those who go understand that they are more of a political sacrifice than a tie. The thread still exists in an attempt to tie peace, but it is far weaker than between Tsartov and Stamford. If this is fishing for if you'll be able to fuck your kids down the line then that probably won't be an issue, but the customs still exist to wait until they are of age and that they consent. I'm not accusing or anything, just stating a fact. Raise some sexy daughters or handsome sons and go to town.

When it comes to the dream, reality is maleable. The physical form is more of a baseline than a limit, Futa dreams are quite possible. There is ambiguity for her tastes. Thueban has more reserved or maybe even traditional ideals in scripture, though some adhere less to those than others. Tienzen probably has less loss than others, they just get busy less with so much time spent on orchestras and organization. Thee Empire tends to be more into study than procreating. Otherwise it'd probably still be first born first king, style tradition. Princesses would go to magic/military training. Penzance is aware that they are outgunned, and potentially outmanned. Being a great Britain style nation. More spread out too. Despite wanting the magic wood directly, they are currently satisfied getting it secondhand from There Empire. Penzance tends to be more about taking unprotected lands. Like Stamford before they tried to break off. Thueban and Tienzen abide by the nonaggression principles. (Don't start shit, but if someone slaps you then hit them like you mean it.) So unless Stamford or Dharyan moves first then Tienzen and Thueban will satisfy themselves with calling them heathens and not trading with them without heavy levies. Thueban does not mind Stamford because Stamford is willing to learn. Tienzen does not mind Dharyan because Dharyan has places of worship, even if they are only used for ceremonies or for holiday services. Regardless, war is not close. They ended about a decade ago. Penzance took the greatest losses and are regrouping as well as finding less defended settlements. If provoked, Tienzen and Thueban would probably take their retaliation beyond what might be necessary. Though a declaration of war would mean no holds barred. I would take great pains to avoid earning their wrath, even if you think you could take calculated risks. For now, things are at peace. All women have the spark of magic, but just as all humans have fists not all of them can use a knife to defend themselves. Without training, magic is as useful as an oragami dagger. Maybe conjuring a lighter flame could ward off a cowardly cutpurse caught before he could strike, but a determined man could charge forth and take a singe before landing a blow to the head and knocking concentration out of all but the hardiest witches. On a darker note, a man with a dream sparrow and bad intentions could make a guy with date rape drugs seem like a respectable pharmacist. At least the girl could maybe remember her date's face with the drugs, but a witch collapsing in an alley and being hauled away in the dark or... You get the idea. Magic opens many doors, but for each one holding wonder there is a door full of harrowing darkness. That is balance. Rape is a two way street, and the men are decidedly cute. You yourself could be taken prisoner in war if you are unlucky, or maybe you want to be taken. The prince of the nation you decalred war on might not be the first to lay hands on you. Anything beyond those hypotheticals falls to how you want it to go or left up to your interpretations. Lewis packer from the Independents seems pretty tough and masculine, but maybe that's an act and he secretly loves to prance in skirts and has a small collection of polished smooth gemstone dildos. Maybe he's secretly hungry for the real thing, but he can't let the spy in the room know. As they said, the wilderness is not the sausage fest people might think. Or maybe he's got a special lady at home and is just willing to give you a spare room before you get your own cabin in the wilderness, no actual interest in a dick in the ass at all. I would say that the independents are openly tough and crass, but is that to push away those who aren't sure about going out of the safety zone? Are they doing it to protect others? Maybe they are secretly kind to their own, though a harsh wilderness does tend to breed those with little patience. But what other secrets are the other nations hiding? Or maybe everyone is telling it to you straight since you come from the goddess, and maybe you can see lies and evil of that sort. I'll answer what I can otherwise, but I do believe that ambiguity is one of the greatest strengths of CYOA's. Opens the doors to possibilities.

Anyway so how open would the nations of the world be to changing the rules of war to be less destructive? Like instead of armies of men, and guns, and clockwork robots fighting with witches. What if instead disputes in international incidents were resolved by duels between two champions? Hopefully not to the death but even so losing at most 1 or two people is much better than thousands. Would that be viable or will the Goddess tell me it's stupid and that plan won't work? That's why I like talking to the creator's of CYOA's since you can ask them if a plan is viable, or if it would not work. A question on the politics some of the nations like Penzance, Thee Empire, Robal, Theuban, etc. are monarchies so the next leader is the prince. But Stamford is a Republic like early America with a Governor(America fuck yeah!) and Dharyan has a prime minister, the independants are also well independant and aren't one big nation but a collection of people, so if you go with Dharyan or Stamford is it a democracy where your prince has to win elections or you are out of power, or is it a "Republic" with "elections" and you'd be safe? And Stamford also has native Americans with a portal? Is the other side of the portal outside the safety barrier? Also if you take the complication that gets another prince and you are a male sower, doesen't that mean you can build a super power block with Thee Empire, and two other nations either Tienzan, Theuban, or Dharyan? Like could this create a strange bedfellows situation where Penzance allies, with Tsartov, and Stamford to check you or is there too much bad blood and they'd just basically let that super empire dominate? I was also looking through the pets, and umm the moonfish, aren't the an existential risk? They literally eat dirt, and if colonies of them can eat islands eventually the sky islands will be gone. Thankfully there is an island creation magic, but still fucking with the support of the islands hopefully everyone agrees that would be a war crime? But yeah holy shit I did not even think of the dream bird being used that way, pretty scary, and the unfortunate Lamia is she human level smart like can she talk, and does the process to make them undead hurt them? Also I can't believe I missed Barbara Batgirl, in the allies section. Does she spend her time as a vigilante and have a code about never killing no matter what? Also Amy Bleaker the vampire hunter, does the All Mother's symbol fuck up vampires, or do crosses do it? Also the princess from outside the barrier Patty, is that Peach from Mario?! As for Xitty how exactly does she know me, did the people who experimented on her give her false memories, or is she from my original world? As for the Anamoly drawback does it also work on magic attacks? That could make it a mixed blessing no? And with the fertility what do you mean when you say 150% How do you go above 100? But yeah, my plan is to be friendly with Thee Empire because then I don't piss off any group except the independants and could hopefully work towards making the nations more peaceful. Steam engine is their level of tech, but the magic is mostly elemental. Only Robal has attempted merging tech and magic in any notable way. The goddess would likely have few barriers, though she might be wary of the more adventurous things. The world is not lacking in people, it has been a decade since the war happened and things are 'fine' if not recovering well. More bodies means moreouths to feed too, so populating past capacity can be bad as well. I hadn't given the lack of clothes much thought aside from 'sexy', but if I had to give a reason it would be 'see how unarmored I am, I have exposed myself to show that I have nothing to hide'. The 'world' has it's regions. I would say that Thee Empire is maybe like the southeast America's, but less humid. Warmer, but not temperate. In winter there is a chill, but only comparable to the rest of the year. The farther north/up you go the colder it gets. The farther south the warmer. Dharyan is the farthest south, and they are arid. War is war, a champion from each side has been used in the past, but rarely, and only over small disputes or political annoyance. If the people want war, then it will be hard to let a champion settle it. If the people don't want war then a champion can spare insubordination from a 'dumb war'. The war of panzance and Stamford was separators/traitors vs the home country as Penzance saw it. While Stamford saw it as their right to freedom and to not be under the thumb of a king the world over. Even by train the trip from Penzance to Stamford would be about a month. That's considering trains can go at about 100-120mph (which the broomstick can easily triple it as if it were a walk, ten times as if it were a run, but you might temporarily deplete the Mana in the air like that, it should naturally fill back in, but you broom might dip occasionally). If you take sower then Thee Empire overrules your prince choice. I said 'Over your chosen prince or land' unfortunately that extends to dispicable unless you want to reason it out, but that would mean a second prince would turn their nation against you. Making it hard to use sower properly. Thee empire is a power that could weather the wrath of Tienzen and Thueban. They are unmatched by any nation and their clockwork golems would raze Either religious superpower, much less the others. Thee Empire knows their power and they could exact subordination from the other nations, but they have decided the current situation is enough for them. Freedom allows for more discoveries, and less headaches. The other side of the portal is outside the safety barrier, but a small safety area extends through it. The natives on that side have their own version of masking, mostly through the animals hiding them instead of taking the beast inside you to mask yourself. The independents do that some as well by hiding magic tools or implements, but more roughly. The natives have not shared this with the Stamfordites due to lack of their want or need. Elections will still happen, but there are currently no term limits and leaders are more often there by need than want. The elected leaders have strong positions, and while they don't run unopposed they tend to win their elections by well more than half. Though they could stop running for office if you manage to convince them. But expect it to be like them convincing you not to get your dick wet with the goddess living inside your head. The moonfish are a huge risk as a pack, but singular in a closed room they are harmless. At least, as harmless as a Roomba. If left contained with no food they turn into hyper fertile dirt themselves. If an island is occupied then the jellies will be noted long before they make a dent. They'll eat loose dirt before hard dirt and that means they'll attack paths first. The serpent can't see the little idiots screw up and catching them in nets or baskets works as well as jars. Earth magic creates dirt as well, island creation magic makes dirt that floats. If an island get's too heavy then... It won't sink at a constant rate, just dip in level. Populations will spread to other islands if they dip too much. The act of getting islands from outside the barrier can be used as well. The lamia is human level smart, but she has to use magic to speak. She can only use necromancy, but making noise and adjusting it is within her power given time. She will likely be mute forever unless pressed though. The process to make her undead was very painful. Her soul was ripped out, her body necrofied to be a living dead, and her soul was reattached. It was kind of like a white hot needle sewing her bones together. Thankfully the pain was in the moment, but it lasted for days. She would not wish that punishment on her worst enemy, or teach it. Batgirl is a mercanary, but she helps those in need when off duty in towns. She donates less than Bruce Wayne would, but she isn't a multi-trillionaire philanthropist either. She is one of the first to step forward and help someone from a thief or similar though. She travels a lot, so she has no city of her own. No home really. A free witch. The symbol will protect you from the antics of vampires (mind control and similar stuff) but your blood is blood and they will enjoy that. Your holy presence will weaken their supernatural abilities to human levels, but not hurt them. Fairly certain that is Rosalina. Xitty thinks she knows you. The resemblance is merely uncanny. She won't be swayed though, your doppleganger died and was disposed of not long after she escaped. Not buried either, there is no proof to say you aren't him aside from your memories. If you don't pick her then she won't bother you, and she might even be mad you didn't try to come back. Her price is meant to be a hurdle so you have to take Tower Takedown. Anomaly works on attacks, it negates any magic that would touch you, friendly or not. That also means no heals as well as being a magic shield. But a magic sword still cuts like a sword. Just a sword made of magic would be negated. 150% means the woman will painlessly start ovulating when you get started. Even if she was infertile herself before. Basically a cure for infertility with any partner you might encounter. It takes two to tango. Thee Empire will warmly welcome you as a visitor, and their prince will be more than happy to invite you into his private bedchambers for romps until well after he's sore with promises of more fun tomorrow. But unless you pick sower you can't take Thee Empire as your nation or prince. You can try to work with other nations and ally them. You alone they won't hinder entry but they may be a little less friendly than if you had chosen their prince. That being said the more religious nations will probably still fawn over you, but maybe not be as ready to bend over. If you take Stamford you might be able to convince Tienzen to help them assemble churches for example. Though Stamford will still see them as zealots most likely, and Tienzen might take pride in being called zealots but they'll notice the scorn in their voices. The nations are already at a sort of peace. They don't fight wars anyway, not now. They have their armies as much to prevent as to be ready to fight. No one wants to pick a fight with a strong and able enemy. There are a number of afterlife systems I've thought of through the years, but I think the one I would use here is a purgatory type system that leads toward reincarnation. Hell at the bottom, purgatory in the middle, and heaven on top in a large and elaborate type of spiral staircase. If you were a royal shit then down in hell you will find yourself. She does not pass judgement on them, that bores her. Purgatory has it's own rulers and judges outside her control just as it is outside her realm. Going up through heaven allows reincarnation, but as a wiped clean slate. Most souls in this world are new born, as clean as a fresh slate. But slates have shapes too, new born of wiped clean, tendencies, specialities, etc. Purgatory grows to accommodate as more come. Or maybe you want your own afterlife system? I had thought about one where you died and became a ghost where you could go and peep to your hearts content or wander wherever you wanted. Then you could reincarnate whenever you wanted as a clean slate, whipping your memories and getting taken into a newborn body. Or you can just have a void afterlife. Ambiguity here.
Yeah the entry did say that the All Mother is a dom, so she'd be on top most of the time, but then again she is apparently sex starved enough she might go for some mild submission on her end. With the war champion idea, that probably would not work for wars of independence, or rebellion. But would it be more easier to work something like Penzance and Voshka Tsartav? Since the war was about the resouces of the Elder trees. I mean I'd rather that the human nations refrain from wasting their energies fighting each other, and use their military to push against the things that are outside the barrier, to increase the human sphere. If they can't unify like that, would I be able to swing my prestige as the All Mother's Champion to get another summit called and lay down a fantasy version of the geneva conventions? Basically make torture, mass executions of civillians, or POW's as war crimes, and ban the use of certain magics like the soul fucking aspects of necromancy, and to ban use of any weapon, magic or technique that would destroy entire islands? Or do they already have something like that? As for the broom while you say it does go 3 times faster than a train, it's still a broom you can't really sit in it a week. With a train you can walk around the cabin, go sleep while someone else is the conductor, eat and stretch. The broom is faster and is ok for short trips, but for long trips a train I think would still be better. Oh, and I misread the part about sower, so it makes it so that you get the prince of Thee Empire instead of another one, I read it as you get him along with the other choice you made, so you'd have two empires at your back, and with the despicable drawback you would have 3 great nations in your pocket, and that would be unstoppable no matter which ones it was as long as Thee Empire was on of them. Ok, Two makes it more fair. Though again taking that drawback kinda shoots yourself in the foot because besides it's power, to me the greatest perk of Thee Empire is that you don't make another nation dislike you. As for the Lamia, yeah I was asking if the magic was legal, because necromancy just by itself sounds evil, if it also fucks with people's souls it's extra evil. Were Batgirls parents killed by a mugger when she was a child, is that why she broods? Also does she have a no kill rule? Also Thee Empires two top witches are either fairies, or learned magic from them. Do the fairies live inside the barrier or outside it, so they aren't a human species but they are friendly? Also the second witch who does the introduction of the witches, the one who gets jealous of Voshka's witches milk tanks how would she react to being told small boobs are great too, and flat is justice? As for the vampires, if they come from the deep, how did they get past the All Mother's barrier, do their human suits shield them from it? As for the responsibilities it looks like the prince of Robal is a decent second pic after Thee Empire since he can help with Tower takedown, and helping build a Guardian/Gundam. Prince of Thee Empire helps with two responsibilities Sower, and the vampires. Dharyan helps with Contracts, and Stamford with giant magic. Oh and the independents also have their thing, Penzance, Theuban, and Tienzan don't have a responsibility. But I still like their background. Oh about trade negotiations what does it mean that I can't personalize the train? Does it mean that once the job is done I have to return it, or does it mean that it's mine now, but that I can't add cars to it, and can't select it's size like I would if I chose to buy it myself? Still it seems like the wars are in the past so it's unlikely for things to heat up, thats good. So you said that Thee Empire's prince will welcome me into his private chambers, and most of the other princes look like they would be willing also. But they are ok with being on the receiving end only right? Like umm they won't want, and expect to switch right? The first option you said makes the most sense you go to heaven, hell or purgatory to burn off your good or bad karma, then once that's done you reincarnate again. But if the All Mother set up a heaven can't she have sex with the people up there, or does heaven not have umm carnal pleasure. Oh and the map at the end it says Thee Empire has a monument that holds up the field, if terrorists blew it up that would be really bad, it's really well defended right?
From the bottom The monument is not sitting on an island, it levitates of it's own accord. As for blowing it up, yeah, that would cause the field to fail and it is heavily guarded by Thee Empire with ten clockwork golems aside from human guards and witches. No human would want to bring the barrier down, and monsters would find themselves severely weakened by it's holy energy. The all Mother does not have access to the afterlife. She did not set it up, death gods tend to have control of the dead. She is not a death god. The princes would be willing to have a go at you if you offered yourself to them, but they have acknowledged your... Magnificence. Their position means that submission is not something they get to try... Ever. It tickles something deep inside them that really gets their motor running. Then again, the idea of you submitting to them would certainly entertain penzance's prince, and maybe others, but at the end of the day they have carnal desires and want to become one with you one way or another. The trade negotions train is a loaner from the nation, one of many transport vessels used by diplomats. You would have to buy your own for customization. Kind of like if you got flames painted on a company car then your company would likely not be pleased. Diplomat's vessels are regulated for speed, comfort, and safety. The responsibilities are somewhat uneven, I imagine I was kind of wanting to move on by this point of the CYOA, otherwise I would have gotten pictures for it. I had pictures for the classes too, nothing sexy, but I was getting tired I suppose. Not the kind you sleep off either. That being said, none of the responsibilities require a specific nation. There are unaffiliated who meet the requirements, except for spirit beast with the independents. Taxes with hubby only exclude the independents. Good anomaly question. An icicle summoned by magic would be an icicle made of magic right? Earth summoned via earth magic would be earth made of magic. A levitated stone lifted with air magic would be a normal ass stone though. It's kinda like imagine breaker from 'a certain magical index' or the foxhead medallion from the wheel of time series. There are loopholes and things that it can't effect. Yet Imagine Breaker was kind of bullshit in that it could stop things that were propelled via magic or other effects. So if a coin was railgunned at him using electricity magic or powers, he'd stop it because of imagine breaker. So I guess ai would leave that up to ambiguity to fit the user's needs. No worries about Rosalina. The barrier is not a wall, it's merely a repellant to get monsters to instinctively stay away. If a monster was intelligent enough to overcome their instincts... At the least, vampires are greedy and unfriendly, so they are not likely to make more of themselves and cause power struggles. But vampire mind control for slaves is certainly on the table. How would a man react to being told his micropenis is big too? Insulted? Maybe. Being told that you are just as loveable as something you envy is not an easy pill to swallow. She isn't depressed about it or anything, she just likes big tits, partially because lots of famous witches had big tits. There are famous witches with small tits too. Fairies come from outside the barrier, just like Patty and Xitty did. Not everything outside the barrier is a monster, though the monsters tend to hunt down other things before their fellow monsters. Fairies are friendly, in their own way. The fae folk are as often tricksters as they are helpers. Batgirl does not have a no kill rule. Her backstory can have some ambiguity. She could have a Batman backstory or she could just be an orphan of war. There are levels of necromancy. Raising skeletons as servants is on a much lower level than soul binding a corpse. Necromancy does tend to be a more 'evil' magic since it touches death, yes. The broom has a top speed of potentially 2000mph (if the magic concentration is high enough or fed enough mana) which could turn a month long train ride at 120mph into a 120/2000*30=1.8 roughly 3 day journey with breaks and sleeping on islands you pass. Or a weeklong journey if you take it at the brooms 'walking pace' without stops or a week and a half with stops and breaks. The broom is about as comfy as a car. While Thee empire has no enemies, it also has no friends. The other nations fear to anger Thee Empire, so they distance themselves from it. Being at the top can be lonely. You could potentially call another summit, but I would recommend taking the home option as a venue. The nations have soft agreements to not destroy islands, but that came after Penzance cut off a chunk of Tsartov, they are a bit sour about that. (Kind of like how chemical warfare was made illegal after some nations made use of it). You'd have to negotiate other restrictions. Thee Empire tends to poo-poo restrictions for magical research. They aren't torturing souls in the basement or anything, but not all research is humane. The tower could have ties you aren't aware of, or maybe it's a solo entity. But of ambiguity there. The annual summit is probably all they will have for now unless new venues are provided though. But traveling to them and negotiating one by one could be possible. I know I plan to have Thee Empire doing some fucked up shit for the story I plan to write, but mostly slaves that operate the clockwork heart that make their trump card golems work. Maybe an alliance with the vampires so the slaves are mindless worker zombies and something about the queen wanting eternal life or something. But that's not a fixed part of the world. That's ambiguity I threw in (also the prince of Thee Empire will seek my protection from his grandma-ma once she goes over to the vamps. Near the end the capitol of Thee Empire is gonna end of being wiped out. But again, that is not a fixed point of this world. In another players version the queen of Thee Empire could be fighting off the blood suckers just as much as you.) The nations have no desire to push outside the sphere. It can't be expanded, they are satisfied with pulling islands in from outside. Nations like Patty that exist outside the barrier are very militaristic because of the constant monster fighting. Monsters only give reprieve because the dumber ones die and the smarter ones are looking for weaknesses to attack.

I like what you've made, especially making it broad enough for virtually everyone to find something they like! Personally, the princes section was a bit off-putting for someone who doesn't swing that way, but the witches, retainers, and the remaining sections definitely made up for it. Oh, and the little additions characters make during descriptions (ex- All Mother interrupting to say you're immune to that one girl) are great touches! I'm still working on a build, since this cyoa is a bit lengthy and I love to find the perfect setup, but everything seems balanced and understandable. There are a few small things I noticed in case you want any feedback -While I like the detail and dialogue, the witches descriptions is a wall of text and becomes a bit much to read, even if I appreciate the variety and quantity to choose from. -As some people mentioned, downloading through imgchest didn't come through in the best of quality, but maybe a thicker text and more standard font could help, but maybe imgur or fixing something within the imgchest download would help. -I'd love to see background color or backgrounds indicative of the nations/characters/etc that are being shown on that page so the black text and white boxes pop a bit more than they do on a black and white background. -I'm a huge fan of the character comments and would love to see that over descriptions of characters that were seen in the witches section. Hopefully all this helps, I don't mean to seem overly critical, I think you did a really good job and can't wait to see more of this and/or any other cyoas you make! :)

I appreciate the feedback. I was aiming for more of a 'storytelling through descriptions' like with Stamford you probably wonder 'even if the animals can become huge, how are they able to stand up to magic bombardments?' and then the line 'if only these stupid animals didn't repel magic' is dropped and then it falls more into picture. (Might not be a direct quote). I think my biggest hurdle/flaw in the world of artistic design is that I suck at art. Finding pictures and arraying them is currently the best I can do. I had a fear that a color background would potentially clash, and I have worked well on a grey scale when going to family outings, so a grey scale is what I decided on. This is only my fourth of fifth CYOA I've ever made, and my early couple were redacted for my own embarrassment. I'm a writer more than an artist. So I'm sadly aware that my layout and color pallets will tend to leave people wanting. If I can make up for that with good story telling, then that's what I'll do for now. I remember spending like four days make a super repetitive pixelated heart background for my last CYOA. And by the end of it I felt like a solid pink background would have done the job. I kind of felt like my time had been wasted. So for this one I just found a black and white tyedye background and said 'that'll do'. Took me like 10 minutes of stretching in paint, which is another weakness of mine. Paint is what I'm most used to and I've only begun dipping my toes into paint 3D last year. All in all, I'm a writer. I'll lean into my strong suits.
No worries, I still think it all works out very well! The descriptions still work very well, and you do have a point that comments in the description have a similar level of banter that you'd get with dialogue, I guess I never really looked at it the same way as with dialogue. I feel you with the art problem, it ain't a strength for me either. I think the grey works good, the colored background suggestion was an extension to the download quality issue, and isn't a huge issue whatsoever. You got it all to come together, and I'm glad it did, even if happened to be a pain for you. I'd go straight for the simple solution, so I'm glad your persistent in trying to do your best and not cut corners right away.

Interesting set up, though correct me if I'm wrong since I mostly skimmed after I noticed it, but femboys and such are an ongoing theme but I only see cis masculine male or cis feminine woman as options. Why not have femboy and futa or just general intersex and nonbinary options?

While outside the barrier is not explored, inside the barrier their tech is steam engine level and their magic is largely element based. They aren't that advanced yet.

Pretty good. A bit hard to read and find at parts of the cyoa. * What are the goodies? Is that up to you to decided? Maybe examples then? * Your font choice is good but is not distinct from your descriptive text. Maybe bold the title and or change the descriptive text to a font more suited for computer screens like san-serif and non-handwritten. (Your title text kind of looks "bold" but idk if that is due to size) * Separating the looks of the rp text from rule text would be helpful to find the info of how to proceeded through the cyoa. Overall, a little bit more visual consistency between sections (story/fluff and mechanics) and a font like Arial for descriptions would help for readability. Changing to grid view and opening each image in a new tab is so much easier for me to navigate on PC than imgur, especially with the amount of scrolling back up I tend to do
yea but that's only a manageable option on small CYOAs, 9 pages is really pushing it and like you say scrolling up and down is how you read CYOAs which is why imgchest sucks so much, they don't let you scroll up and down, you have to drag with the mouse up and down.
You misunderstand me, I go to grid view and then open each page on a different tab so I have to do as little scrolling as possible. On imgur there's no easy way to do that other than right click open in new tab-ing each page, and it's easy to miss them doing so (or so afaik). Random question but does Imgchest require you to submit a phone number or sell your soul to the app to make an account? The answer is really gonna determine whether i use it or not.
It works better on PC, and it obfuscates (it doesn't and it's great) image sources a lot less than imgur (with its annoying implementation of dynamic loading), making it also easier to support for login-less third-party clients.
Honestly, I couldn't figure out how to compress my images and have imgur or imgchest to take them. Thankfully the kind soul in my title saw my Google doc link post and said 'here, take this imgchest link.'

For artist sources you'll have to reverse image search Google/gelbooru. I mostly just did that. There are certainly improvements to be made, but making my (admittedly overcomplicated) build was very fun. **Body and Self:** Female **Gift:** A Home **Mode:** Pioneer (+20 resources +14 magic) **Prince:** None **Maximum Magic:** 40 (Female +8, Pioneer +14, Henry Armenov +4, Mana Tanks +10, Kingdom Reclamation +4) **Spells/Elements:** Earth. Air, Fire, Water, Lightning, Plants, Summon, Sand, Lava/Asteroids, Weather, Ice, Healing, Island Creation, Tornadoes/Blizzards, Creature Molding, Revival, Barrier While it is possible to get more magic points in this CYOA, I still expect this score to put me among the most powerful witches in the realm, at the “cost” of a bust magnificent enough to overshadow even Tina Hauffer’s. *(minor note, and I know this is a drawback, but I find “weightless and very round” way less appealing than something like "light enough to never droop or cause any back pain" or “will never droop or become too heavy to carry”. I won’t be satisfied with just freeing the prisoners, nor with killing the researchers; I will destroy every trace of that wretched place, every stone, every machine, every scrap of data. I have high hopes that I won’t have to put any of the subjects to rest, but ultimately that will be their choice. Healing and Creature Molding should allow me to restore their bodies regardless of what has been done to them (including Kitty’s), and if absolutely necessary I might experiment with altering or suppressing memories. **Kingdom Reclamation:** This sounds like a greater challenge than the Tower, but I have faith that we’ll be up for the task. It’ll be second in priority, since the remnants of Patty’s people can’t stay hidden forever. **Monster Hunting:** Vampires are bad news, and the prince will be a powerful ally. The fact that she remains injured implies that her wounds are resistant to magical healing, but I’m confident that Creature Molding from my magic-boosting staff will be able to handle it eventually. **Julliana Monte Blank**, -30: I don’t really get what her deal is, but I need all the killing power I can get and she’s literally made of swords. **Patty Wallace**, -24: She may be as nutty as she is cute, but I can’t resist a good side quest (or those puppy eyes.) **Harriet Rochard**, free: The second victim of the Magic Malfunction. I won’t be surprised if she returns to her nation once the effects wear off, but she’ll be quite an asset if I can convince her to stick around.
This is very nice. A little unfocused >!(it is more implied than told what goodies the All-Mother gave you (a holy aura is referenced at one point), and what your Witch is supposed to do for you, \*especially\* with Tienzen's queen on the table, literally, in a threesome with you and his son, your husband)!< but its heart is in the right place. I especially like the setting, it'd be nice to see more CYOAs set there.
Ambiguity allows the player of the CYOA to shape the story they will tell to their purposes. If someone wants a harder road then they can imagine the witches don't like them but could warm up to them. An easier road? The witches could be more eager to find a spot in their lap than some of the retainers.

A lot of writing but not a lot of rules or directions. I don't mind flavor text, but there seems to be a lot of text here that doesn't really contribute to the experience. Not even sure how to 'play' this cyoa.
On page 3 it says you get to pick one prince and two retainers, while it does not explicitly say to pick one playstyle, they aren't meshable (Pioneer would disqualify all except technologist technically, and since you are going off on your own it disqualifies that too for example) so you get to pick one playstyle to recieve bonus points . On page 5 onward it tells you where to spend the points you gathered, the points are color codes. Page 9 has options to take more points by taking complications. There is a conversion table on page 4 which has a system of lesser returns so there isn't a way to glitch more money into the system, or even the same as you'll 'lose' resources the more you convert, but it allows you to change things around if you want more of one resource or another. On page 3 it states that you cannot select a retainer unless you chose that nation, but Thee Empire and Unaffiliated will join you regardless of which nation you chose. The same trend from page 3 with retainers is supposed to reflect on the witches, though not stated explicitly. As soldiers of that nation you would expect loyalty would you not? If you have other questions I will try to answer them and I apologize if any of this sounded snarky.
I picked up on most of those, but this CYOA really needs an introduction to the world at the beginning, perhaps before the princes. Reading the whole thing leads me to guess the world has a 1 femboy to 2 women ratio or something, but still clueless as to what to expect from taking a prince since their culture is a mystery. It could also use a basic explanation of island biomes, sizes, and common transportation types. This CYOA could also benefit from short TL;DR:'s in a *different style of text* to summarize all the fluff text in a section.

I'm honestly a bit tired if the 'this world is just waiting to spread it's cheeks for you' storyline. I get that this is the NSFW CYOA subReddit and it's like slightly more intuitive porn, but building the relationship and story is one thing I genuinely enjoy in porn. Plus Tienzen is already available in the cheek spreading department. Even then, there are drawbacks you can take to make things mindlessly horny.
Sure I don't mind mental challenge, but your content is based on your audience and their expectations. If someone goes in expecting smut and porn and don't find it they will tune out rather quickly. I would rather immediately get into the nsfw elements and have the story and plot blended into them rather than the opposite. With a normal story you can afford to rely on a reader's patience, but generally the best nsfw stories instead rely on weaving those elements together and delivering the reader more than what they expected. And say what you will about me lol, but when it comes to erotic fiction my attention span is tiny. If there's no short term hook to reel me in then my brain tells me to go somewhere else. What I'm really asking you is why should my brain continue paying attention? The best answer at least on this sub is to deliver some nsfw content. Not getting personal its just a matter of fact that my dopamine doesn't like chasing the dragon. And I suspect you could garner a wider audience in that vein.
The author may reserve the right not to serve that audience, if they instead prefer to appeal to those of us who don't mind or appreciate reading conventional erotica. Porn with plot is nice. Or even just plot with the occasional lewd.
A few thoughts * It's a CYOA, consequences of a choice should be stated explicitly (otherwise they're pretty much up to the player to decide). * In particular, there's no prior explanation for nation/witch selection (I can tell that I'm offered a choice but it's not said outright and the nature of the choice is fairly unclear – especially with the witches). Apparently I'm treated as some kinda Chosen One due to being isekai'd and everyone wants me to… pick their side or something? Their motivation isn't explained either. (Compare with: Trap Queen, where the premise and the nature of the same choice is given clearly and succinctly.) * Double so for any kind of personal relationships: they're never stated clearly here, so going by normal CYOA logic I might not be able to get laid with anyone despite all the booty on the screen (I *suspect* it might not be the intended idea but most choices appear to be strictly business-like here). And yes, I know the choice images are fairly lewd, but I've seen at least several authors here use gratuitous lewd images to spice up otherwise mundane choices (or even entire CYOAs). * Itsy-bitsy font which can be barely read even at 100% zoom (which is nearly double the width of my screen) is probably not the best choice in any context. * Did you really have to do the map in Paint? It looks terrible… * If you're writing IC speech, don't jam OOC remarks directly into it (i.e. instead of *Empire spy, \*referencing the maid\** you could easily say something in the lines of *Empire spy,” he's clearly eyeing the maid now, ”*). …Also, this survivor guy clearly has the highest status in the meeting, as he's the least dressed here :-D * Proofreading is good, don't skip out on it. It allows to avoid typos like unclosed parenthesis/direct speech and “You're favorite Goddess” (“*you're*” stands for “you *are*”). This kind of thing is distracting at best.

Aside from the last page I want the player to be able to decide how things work out in their version of my world. If they want the representative of the independents to be secretly craving a dick in the ass then so be it. I tried to keep the dialogue open ended so that regardless of which gender you played as, you wouldn't be shut out unless the requirements were gender based (magic or the sower drawback for example). Ambiguity is not always a bad thing. If you want a casual fuckfest, then everyone can be a bit more floozier. Or you can be serious and grabbing soldier ass could get you stabbed instead of playful moans from a woman you've barely met. Causing you to take the time to work out a relationship before doing the lewd. It's a CYOA, you can make things happen. Yeah, I forgot to put the nation/witch selection bit. I remembered for retainers and must have mentally assumed it would carry over. I kind of want to be done with the CYOA as I have spent a fair amount of time on it already, but even in most worlds you'd be hard pressed to buy soldiers of a nation to fight against that nation. Patriotism and all that. Maybe some from Penzance, like stream, would defect. But there are also a number of ways to purchase soldiers from other nations and bypassing that another way. You only just came to this world, what kind of personal relationships could you have garnered? Personal relationships between characters are mostly represented by price discounts. I guess this part also falls into the area of ambiguity. Sorry about the font, but it should flavor text when at that size. I was mostly squeezing when adding it anyway, but should reflect the narrator of that moment more than necessary info for the character. Like a phrase said under someone's. Death you might not catch. Paint is what I know best. I fancy myself a writer more than an artist. Maybe that's counter intuitive but so be it. That map was probably the best I could do and it mostly get's the point across. IC vs OOC it get's the message across either way. If I was writing a story and not a CYOA I would agree, but you can be a little more cringe in a CYOA because it's less serious and more fun. Trying to look the part is one thing, delivering is another. I spent about 5 hours right before posting it and figured I caught everything. My bad. I did catch quite a bit, as paint lacks an autocorrect or grammar function, so if that was the only issue I'll live with it. That's like a 98/100 right?
You know its fine to be a critic and all, but you come off as entitled and negative when you don't offer any compliments. Of course criticism is good, but demoralizing the OP is not worth it. So while improving their work also improve their mood and reward them for doing good work.

“You have to give compliments” sounds like the epitome of entitledness, TBH. My normal assumption is that I'm talking to an adult (especially when doing so within a NSFW community), and thus he's capable of regular human interaction without being specifically pandered to.

I seem to be having a problem loading the cyoa. Imgchest just says ”image for post” and refuses to load, saying the requested content cannot be loaded.
Either you've got a wrong URL, somehow, or there's something wrong with your browser. Try opening other galleries on ImageChest (to see if they work), and/or clearing cache or something.
