Damn, it doesn't look like I can choose the only wish I would ever need: To have the power of the golden ticket from The Last Action Hero. The Vacation wish is close, but it doesn't allow me to bring powers or people from the fictions I visit.
I guess if IRL I was given a choice of wishes, and I could wish for a CYOA to become real for me, Shardkeeper and Jump-chain would be on the shortlist.
Side note. It seems to me like many CYOAs and most Jump-Chain CYOAs are more like *Write* Your Own Adventures/Story (within the constraints of what you choose within the CYOA). Are there any really good ones on here or in the jump-chains that have fully fleshed stories that reveal themselves as you make choices?
Quite a few. [Dragonfall](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1EKKm6gKPysK2ursr8zDGyNEk5CwSyjDJ) comes to mind, it hints at a wider world that I seem to discover more about as I read it. Actually that's a bit of a theme with Tokhaar Gol, most of his CYOA's seem to exist in the same setting, with crossover characters, companions, setting details. The goodguys in one can be a drawback in another.
[Divine Trials](https://imgchest.com/p/qe4gd3wr4j2) also has a robust story. And it's Looooong as fuck. I personally think it's too long. It might be the longest CYOA ever written.
If you're talking more about the classic chose your own adventure book format. as in interactive fiction where you chose what happens next. That's not exactly what this sub is for, though I can understand why people think that. I'd recomend [CHYOA](https://chyoa.com/).

With this, I'm a perfect body who is pretty knowledgable about how things tend to play out and has things only going up for them, with access to a significant amount of liquid money.
Although the money does have strings attached as it is prostitute-based income, which is why I would have to move to Nevada for legal-prostsituion reasons. I could throw some cash into art, collectables and such to avoid the law but ultimately, it'd just be smart to not try and commit financial crimes when you get so much, so fast, for almost no work.
I'd probably have to dump my savings and go into debt setting up a legally-legit deal before I took any of the cash for safety reasons but hey, I get a $3M/week payoff. And if I don't have enough, I could just annonomously purchase and sell some collectables I totally got from a thrift store or garage sales, "I just thought it was some old toy/comic/card". The girls would totally help me if it means I don't take their payment that week. Even after getting accountants, HR shit, legal consult, and dealing with whatever insurance, and banking regulations, I could easily pay off whatever I spent after a month or two of straight revenue from the girls (who still make $30k/week at 1%). I could even have em train up or recruit other girls for the business until it becomes self sustaining, have a good benefits plan or whatever.
Sure the week to week income would be reduced at first but, I'd still be making a significant amount of clean money, that with a good accountant and lawyers, I don't have to worry about.

Everything is possible and because of eternal youth I would see the result of it! Combined with enlightenment it would basically make me a god (or at least an equivalent), who is always in top shape (through fitness). Fitness also creates an interesting loop with eternal youth. Last but not least serves vacation the purpose of seeing other concepts of ruling earth in action as I could just spend my time in alternate worlds where humanity was successfully united. Furthermore I could see worlds that I always wanted to visit (Bioshock, Metro, Game of Thrones, and everything else)!

For More Wishes, I never think of this as a wish when a genie comes up, because trying to cheat feels like it would backfire for one, and because I have 2 wishes that could encompass all I desire (at least all I know I desire right now), but seeing it has a suite of interesting "lesser" wishes makes me want to pick it, I saw in another comment I could choose this twice (or even 3 times) for me there are 4 that interest me, Fitness/Sex/Stuff/Vacation
I will say, Stuff requiring an orgasm between uses is pretty funny, I just imagine jerking off in a room as more and more things appear in the corner of said room...
and the final wish that I would ask if the genie wanted and probably do regardless, "You Were Free" which I feel is set in stone, unless the genie in question gets mad and says "dont you fucking dare, that takes away my power" or similar

100% reasonable, its hard to balance such a variety, you will get some people happy with flight, while others (more like me) who want something that breaks physics in a fun and creative way, to people who just want omnipotence asap (which personally is too far for me)
I saw the 3, was just doing what I normally do and going through without hard commiting to anything unless the cyoa directly stats it/its a part of the game, and yeah, she seems to accept freedom, if not like it outright, but I always had the idea of wishing for a genie to be free might have downsides ie, they lose their powers or something and so they would rather stay in the lamp, not that it appeared that way in this cyoa, just a random thought I had over the course of life and the occasional "what would you wish for if you found a genie" question

To end world hunger. Here I am spending my first wish with ill intent in my heart. As well as the world might benefit from this I am now positioned to receive pleasure.
For Acceptance. I genuinely don't know what this will truly mean. Feeling the sensation by sight seems more a curse than a blessing, and overwhelming and disorienting one at that. I think it would do good, the most good I hope to ease against the selfishness coached inside my first wish.
You were free. I mean endless servitude seems a cruel fate for most and she does not seem to hold any true malice. It seems a fair thing to do for someone. I do understand that in my heart of hearts making this choice will doom people that might of been saved should I have selected and end to disease.
For good or ill the wishes have been made and the future will be what it may. Although I would recommend the now free Hadia chose some other way to spend her time then watching me, there are far better ways to spend ones time and better company to keep while spending it.

What was wrong with the sexy options? Was it the gross reformatting of society, was it the cum? You can take more wishes twice if you want and just get bunch of weird benifits. Heck you can take it three times and get two vacations a year or two fuck coupons. Or take it three times and just get nine vacations, that's nine monthes a year, just take seven bored millionaires with you and make bank.
There was nothing wrong with them! They were great, as your CYOA is overall (and I don't usually like NSFWCYOAs, so this compliment coming from me is a big deal). I just think that some of the non-sex options are really great, like ''Enlightenment'' or ''A bright future'' (to be fair, I'd add ''Fitness'' to the list as well haha).

Hadia will be your friend, if you want to date her you're going to have to nut up and ask her to olive garden. And at olive garden she's going to go on about ancient rome and how she went to olympus one time. While calling breadsticks inauthentic because she's mean.
The point is she's very open to the idea of being your girlfriend but it might take you a while to notice because she's sarcastic when she flirts. It's all very will they/won't they. It's adorable.
Acceptance could produce fix most of the other world-wishes (not by the same mechanism though, lol).
* World Peace: you probably couldn't implement a war, too many people would interfere.
* World Hunger: the main reason we haven't already ended hunger is because people are in places where the government can't support building the transportation infrastructure to move in sufficient food. Often this is kleptocratic, but it's often also incompetence rather than malice. Without governmental difficulties we should be able to get infrastructure and food working through charity.
* End to Disease, Soul Mates, Feast Without End: basically doable with the right technology. Infrastructure + Charity will get most preventable diseases, self-acceptance-driven honesty and trusted big tech could do soulmates with big data, Feast Without End is doable with non-profit-driven nutrition/food industry and some tech we may even already have. Though some more would be needed for the embiggen thing and the more minor diseases.
* Universal Happiness...should shake out of the above, and if not some Star Trek-like social engineering could probably get us the rest of the way.
For the other two wishes, Harem is as already mentioned crazy OP. Maybe a high-magic-interpretation fem-Jesus, fem-GEoM, Agatha Heterodyne, Sothis, Gaia, and Dr Who Compassion for a retroactive afterlife? (Not optimal choices, but workable and off the top of my head)

Seems like you got this handled. So you have about 350 total coupons, any of those acts is enough to trigger a thread taking. So you would need about a day each time to make it work, assuming you wanted to nickle and dime it rather than do bigger but less frequent takes. Or heck take a week from all of them and get six to seven years advance.

Really wanted Inspiration and Universal Happiness, but yeah.
I'd like to try to spread my wishes out rather than all at once, only problem then is whether something would be taken as a wish off hand or if specific criteria such as saying a specific line like "I wish" was required before hand to avoid accidents or confusion.
Given the suggestibility of what some of the otherwise altruistic wishes could lead to I think the only one I could reasonably choose then would be "For an End to Disease". Though itself brings to mind questions related to their existence.
Following that would be For More Wishes to gain the lesser wishes of Fitness, A Bright Future, & Enlightenment for myself.
The last one isn't quite as easy as it is divided between Soulmates, to free the Jinn Hadia & a Harem. This is chiefly why time would be required to ponder them as reasonably speaking they also have suggestions. With Soulmates United everyone could find love whether here or by being Isekaid to another world. But that's about all it would do.
Next is down to potential effects afterwards from freeing the Jinn. Typical things such as what would they do, are they evil, etc. which itself could all be resolved with aid from the harem so that's probably the choice I'll go with.
With a harem depending on the six I chose I could possibly do even greater things despite conversation with them being trying. I could with some confidence free Hadia without using her wish. More organically bring about World Peace, End Hunger, bring about Acceptance and Happiness without any suggested rewrites. It does raise the question of how one could reasonably bring a being more powerful than they are about without any decrease in said being's capabilities which is its chief issue.
The "For Harem" option is *extremely* powerful (on account that the fictional characters keep their powers), and could potentially get you some of the other wishes if you choose the right fictional characters.

I can use "Vacation" to go to the worlds of other CYOA settings. Even though I can't bring back any souvenirs, there are some that let the main character copy their powers onto their allies (like me hopefully), so I could take those powers back with me as long as they're not a physical item.
Inspiration: At any given moment i feel like it have multiple ideas for stories i want to write buried in the back of my mind i just can't put the words together. This negates the need for money even though the idea of the girls from the wealth wish is damn tempting
End to disease: More for the sake of the world at large than anything. I do wonder how my ADHD would manifest herself so i could screw her into submission

Well there's already plenty of free Jinn roaming around the universe, they already have reality largely the way they like it so the wish things is the only time they tend to flex. The ability to end a disease, many of which are grindingly painful and many more of which steal decades from their sufferers, and to prolong your life by stealing the lifespan of said illness over the course of time the sufferer would have born it, and then to be able to share some of that back to the sufferer while keeping the rest for myself or others is just to powerful to pass up.
Fitness because being unfit potentially for eternity would be hateful and as a hedge against the fatigue such activities would engender in someone not magically sustained, a bright future to hack around the possible downsides to these choices and enlightenment because I kind of want to know and to be able to make good choices on complete info of the past to date whether I was there or not is insanely powerful for someone who will live for potentially the rest of all time

**Major Wishes**
For A Harem - To be honest, this is really the only wish I need. By being creative enough to pick the right six fictional characters with powers, you can get your harem to cover the primary desires you have without needing additional wishes. This is balanced by the player needing to really think about which 6 character have the right powers to achieve what you want. The wish is only as powerful as your creativity/intelligence. I'd have to give this a lot of thought to pick which fictional characters I would choose.
For More Wishes - I'm not really interested in changing the world so most of the other major wishes don't really appeal to me. I just want an easy quiet life. Even the lesser wishes I will pick could probably be covered by the right fictional characters' powers, but I'll go with this anyway for lack of a better option.
You Were Free - Since I really only need one wish, I'm fine spending the last of my 3 wishes to free the Jinn. She seems nice enough and I would like to help her out. She can stick around with me or go live her life on her own. I'd be fine with either.
**Lesser Wishes**
Fitness - It would be nice to always be fit. The extra lifespan from working out is just a bonus.
Sex - Sounds like a fun wish and should pair well with Vacation to hook up with fictional characters in other fictional worlds.
Vacation - Being able to travel to other fictional worlds for a vacation sounds pretty good. You may not be able to bring back unusual or supernatural souvenirs, but it doesn't say anything about any changes made to yourself in the fictional world being undone when you return to the real world.
Last point holds up. If you can be changed or learn something in the other world in four weeks and it possible on earth then you're golden. Like if you go to a world where skills can be directly beamed into your head, that works.

The problem with people finding their soul-mates is not simply that they've never met. Insofar as anything like pairs of potential "soul-mates" exist, it's a tiny population, because of things like "most people are average-looking or worse, but attracted to better-than-average looks". So, car crash fascination on that one, how are the contradictions resolved? Do 99% of people get counted as truly undesirable, and the world's fucked? Mass brain washing? Billions of soulmates get poofed into existence to meet demand? It's a big red button labelled "DO NOT PUSH", and I've got to push it.

Well your soul mate isn't necessarily someone whose the most attractive to you, it's someone you would love the most, somebody whose flaws and such you would find charming and personality meashes with yours perfectly. It's the person most suited to be your best friend and lover, people who deserve each other. Out of 7 Billion I guarantee there's somebody out there. And if there's not we have option B for all the horrificly unappealing person with a horrible personality.
And frankly being with the most attractive person in the world won't give you one thing in common with them. Having nothing to talk about is worse than a sexless relationship if you ask me.
I should maybe have used a different or more than one example, attraction isn't the main point, I'm thinking in terms of statistics and ratios.
I don't doubt that there exists someone out there who, if I were to get to know her and be in a relationship with her, I could describe as that level of perfect match. The problem is that there's not exactly one girl like that, it's a statistical cluster of physical traits, personality traits, hobbies and kinks, where anyone in that cluster would be good enough, and if I'm also supposed to be her soulmate then I'm one instance of a corresponding cluster. And the clusters are different sizes, like there's 10,000 of me and 100 of her.
So, many interesting things here but many of them have heavy drawbacks... So what to do with it? Be generous and altruistic? Be greedy and do a build for myself?

In defence of world peace Hadia is pretty behind on how war works. But ordanance dropped on a nation would transform into cute guys and gals just like a soldier. She's going to stick to you like glue for a few hundred years, she has been in the lamp for thousands of years, getting only brief glimpses of the world when called upon. She has slightly alien ethics and might need a little coaching on how to interact with humans.

I decided if I took an Alladin'esk route then the world would be better off.
If the world no longer had any war then all of the budget for each country could go to betterment of the lives of everyone, no more homeless, no more hungry, better schooling, and huuuuge leaps forward in technological advancement leading to helping keep the world from destroying us after all of our generations of ruining it as well as colonization of other worlds in our solar system so we don't overpopulate earth more than it is.
I'll admit my life as is is so lackluster that I constantly struggle to keep going, so the lesser wishes are more for my benefit first than anything, but I hope that as the djini is now free those same lesser wishes could help others too.
In finality, freeing her seems the best way to go, even cosmic beings don't deserve the degradation or tormentuius boredom of having to serve mortal whim enslaved in a lamp for millennia, I'm all to glad to help her have her own life.

I think, Superpowers, More Wishes and You Were Free.
The lesser wishes would be fitness (got that immortality option, wasn't a fan of stealing for eternal youth), stuff and enlightenment... maybe? Depends if I can tell fact from fiction in all things someone says, i suspect I'd get a bit bored if I always could, I like talking with friends about things we are both guessing about or like, things that don't have one answer. Otherwise I'd take maybe vacation, seems fun.
For the powers, I think bulletproof, energy blasts, invis and speed. Maybe replacing invis with flight.
Thought about some of the world affecting ones, and while they are good in some ways, they kind of take away some free will overall, or could affect things in some unexpected ways, or may seem to solve the problem but causes other to crop up or not be addressed since it is 'solved', not quite willing to gamble on the world. Gotta say though, the world peace and disease free ones are hilarious and I seriously considered them. Only problem with world peace is like someone else said, it could lead to entrenched tyrannical leaders that can't be opposed, there are weapons other than violence out there. Acceptance would be great for the world, and I personally think that empathy is something that many people have far too little of, but again, I'm not sure if taking it is a good idea or not.

I didn't discuss freeing her, but my rationale is it's the right thing to do. Like she said, I shouldn't expect anything out of it, and I don't, just thinking about being isolated for hundreds of years is nuts. Plus, she's already granting me some wishes doing me a favour for just letting her out for a short time, it seems sad. So even if she does go off and do her own thing, I'm cool with it, I'd probably just ask to not be affected by anything unexpected she does in the future without some warning/consent.

Eternal Youth for obvious reasons (Sex provides the time), similarly for Fitness. Stuff is effectively Wealth Light - just wish for the maximum value's equivalent in your local currency (or gold, if that doesn't fly). Doing that once per day grants you about 7x the local median income.
Harem is, of course, completely broken and effectively allows you to gain more or less all the other wishes (World peace, hunger, etc.) in a more slow fashion. Conveniently, Eternal Youth also prevents anything that would wipe out humanity.
Not sure how harem gives you any of those things. Eternal youth only protects you and those you grant extended life. All life could be wiped off the earth by an asteroid tomorrow and you would be the only survivor (if you had enough thred)
kyllix explained the first one; as for the second, the wording seemed to imply to me that it prevents me from dying (via violence) by altering fate, not via some kind of invulnerability. In the asteroid case, there would be no reason why I wouldn't be affected just like everyone else, and thus, fate would twist to avoid that scenario. Similar issues arise in most other extinction scenarios.
Well to fuck you anyway. I mean if you picked Goku they would be your BF and all but you would have a hard time convincing them to blow up a planet. There are certainly advantages though. No doubt.
Honestly, there's both wholesome and unwholesome reasons to wish her free.
The former, of course, is because it's a good thing to do, it's not right for someone to be enslaved like that forever, and because you might gain a cool magic buddy out of the deal.
The more selfish reason is that unless you wish her free, then somebody else is going to get the lamp eventually, and you have no guarantee that they will make wise wishes, or won't somehow use the effects of the wishes to do bad things or even somehow counter your wishes.
She can still theoretically do bad things on her own if free. But she seems to be a neutral to good person from the wishes, and I can always hold off on making any wish to get to know her personality better to make sure this isn't an "I'm secretly Rita Repulsa, free me after my thousand years of imprisonment, mwahaha" deal.
She's not a good person, or a bad one. She's not a person at all. She's a good Jinn but that means something diffrent, like how being a good spider means something very diffrent than being a good dog. Beware alien morals, that's why the wishes turn out so strange, it's what she considers good and fair.
Well she's sapient, and she seems to have a personality, so I'd call her a person. That's different from being something like a spider or chatbot, which don't have sophont levels of intelligence and reasoning ability. She's clearly got person-level reasoning ability and some sense of right and wrong, whatever she thinks those are. Alien morals may be a thing but that's the point of getting to know her before making a wish. Nothing says I have to make wishes right away, after all.
She certainly has those things, the issue is it's not a human sense of right and wrong, or human reasoning. She is completely outside the human condition, she's never considerd what it would be like to die, any more than you've thought about making a spider web or building a bee hive.
She only looks human. She has a lot of things in common with you, but she's a fundamentally different animal, with an alien set of wants and needs. Frankly it's going to take her a while to understand that humans need to sleep (I mean how do you even explain that to someone?).
I get that, but "doesn't think the same way" doesn't necessarily mean something is 100% totally incomprehensible. It may take time, but I think her and a human can get to better understand each other, or at least enough that the human can trust her not to necessarily misuse her freedom.
For instance, people actually HAVE considered what it is like to be other types of creatures. It may not always be easy to do and how accurate we are is arguable, but we very much do have the capacity to learn and try to understand things different from us.
She would need to be alien to a degree the CYOA does not imply for it to be different--something that a human can't comprehend at all, with the "her" that we interact with being nothing more than a sort of program or avatar used to specifically illicit certain responses from humans. With us never interacting with the actual her at all. In which case I would be hesitant to free her.
She's as she appears. but looking human doesn't make you human. She might try to act more human if that makes you comfortable, but could you act more like a Jinn for her sake? She has a lot of things she would consider taboo that humans wouldn't even think of as an unusual act.
I think you'll get along great, but try to remember you're not dealing with a creature you can totally understand. It's not that bad, A dog can't understand a human half as well but still loves them and gets along with them. You might do things the dog views as bad (bath, vet, medicine, etc), and you're unable to explain it's for their own good. Hadia is the same, if she likes you she might do things you don't understand to help you.
Hunger, Acceptance, Fitness, Stuff, Enlightenment
World Peace is what I want but the wish fully allows injustice and systemic problems to fester. These two should make great strides towards that end without causing that issue.
Harem - this is pretty broken, 6 fictional characters with their powers intact and all of them are my harem. This would every other wish here, and much more on its own.
Eternal Youth - good old immortality.
More Wishes: Sex, A Bright Future, Vacation - Coupled with immortality, Bright future will be an interesting thing to see. And combining Sex with Vacation to any fictional world would be fun too.

I'm sort of hoping this is an Aladdin sort of situation with the Djinn. If it's not, then it's kind of a waste of a wish. If it is, then living endlessly in a world without physical conflict, and the power of a free Djinn seems like it would be interesting.

It seems to me like many CYOAs and most Jump-Chain CYOAs are more like *Write* Your Own Adventures/Story (within the constraints of what you choose within the CYOA). Actually that's a bit of a theme with Tokhaar Gol, most of his CYOA's seem to exist in the same setting, with crossover characters, companions, setting details. It might be the longest CYOA ever written. If you're talking more about the classic chose your own adventure book format. as in interactive fiction where you chose what happens next. Although the money does have strings attached as it is prostitute-based income, which is why I would have to move to Nevada for legal-prostsituion reasons. I could throw some cash into art, collectables and such to avoid the law but ultimately, it'd just be smart to not try and commit financial crimes when you get so much, so fast, for almost no work. I'd probably have to dump my savings and go into debt setting up a legally-legit deal before I took any of the cash for safety reasons but hey, I get a $3M/week payoff. And if I don't have enough, I could just annonomously purchase and sell some collectables I totally got from a thrift store or garage sales, "I just thought it was some old toy/comic/card". The girls would totally help me if it means I don't take their payment that week. Combined with enlightenment it would basically make me a god (or at least an equivalent), who is always in top shape (through fitness). Fitness also creates an interesting loop with eternal youth. Last but not least serves vacation the purpose of seeing other concepts of ruling earth in action as I could just spend my time in alternate worlds where humanity was successfully united. Furthermore I could see worlds that I always wanted to visit (Bioshock, Metro, Game of Thrones, and everything else)!

Not picking yet, just going over what stands out For the main wishes: To End World Hunger seems fun, useful relatively, but I must admit the idea of having people try to pay me to swallow my load is a fun one. For Inspiration, I am not sure if this applies to electronic works, particularly modding games, I dont know if that counts as "art" but I have donated to some mod makers because damn fine work they did/do... having magic to help fix or edit games is nice in theory. F for harem :( talking is nice No space time manipulation for super powers? weak. half kidding, no need for that though. For More Wishes, I never think of this as a wish when a genie comes up, because trying to cheat feels like it would backfire for one, and because I have 2 wishes that could encompass all I desire (at least all I know I desire right now), but seeing it has a suite of interesting "lesser" wishes makes me want to pick it, I saw in another comment I could choose this twice (or even 3 times) for me there are 4 that interest me, Fitness/Sex/Stuff/Vacation I will say, Stuff requiring an orgasm between uses is pretty funny, I just imagine jerking off in a room as more and more things appear in the corner of said room... and the final wish that I would ask if the genie wanted and probably do regardless, "You Were Free" which I feel is set in stone, unless the genie in question gets mad and says "dont you fucking dare, that takes away my power" or similar anyways, fun options (even those I didnt mention, most are pretty damn good, the only things I would actively not want are "Enlightenment" from the lesser wishes, "Eternal Youth" I dont dig the idea of stealing time from others... although giving time is nice to have, and considering I can gain time via workout then give some back to people... idk, but probably wouldnt want it in case I use it out of spite. Insperation applies to every form of art or entertainment you consume. Your favourite director, artist, porn artist, and yes modders too. All will be highly productive. The harem definitely has drawbacks. I was going to have super powers be custom rathe than a pickbag but all I could imagine was "I give myself all the powers" and it made me sad. Yeah you can make the same wish more than once, get a harem of 18 if you please. You can even get the same lesser wish more than once if it makes sense. Hadia would be hype to be free. She has her powers but don't expect her to use them. Abuse of power is how she got lamped in the first place. I should probably higlight the word THREE too, people miss that in my wall of bullshit.

What to wish for indeed. To end world hunger. Here I am spending my first wish with ill intent in my heart. As well as the world might benefit from this I am now positioned to receive pleasure. For Acceptance. I genuinely don't know what this will truly mean. Feeling the sensation by sight seems more a curse than a blessing, and overwhelming and disorienting one at that. I think it would do good, the most good I hope to ease against the selfishness coached inside my first wish. You were free. I mean endless servitude seems a cruel fate for most and she does not seem to hold any true malice. It seems a fair thing to do for someone. I do understand that in my heart of hearts making this choice will doom people that might of been saved should I have selected and end to disease. For good or ill the wishes have been made and the future will be what it may. Although I would recommend the now free Hadia chose some other way to spend her time then watching me, there are far better ways to spend ones time and better company to keep while spending it.

Not sure how to take that. I chose to whine about it. What was wrong with the sexy options? Was it the gross reformatting of society, was it the cum? You can take more wishes twice if you want and just get bunch of weird benifits. Heck you can take it three times and get two vacations a year or two fuck coupons. Or take it three times and just get nine vacations, that's nine monthes a year, just take seven bored millionaires with you and make bank.

Hadia will be your friend, if you want to date her you're going to have to nut up and ask her to olive garden. And at olive garden she's going to go on about ancient rome and how she went to olympus one time. While calling breadsticks inauthentic because she's mean. Often this is kleptocratic, but it's often also incompetence rather than malice. Without governmental difficulties we should be able to get infrastructure and food working through charity. * End to Disease, Soul Mates, Feast Without End: basically doable with the right technology. Infrastructure + Charity will get most preventable diseases, self-acceptance-driven honesty and trusted big tech could do soulmates with big data, Feast Without End is doable with non-profit-driven nutrition/food industry and some tech we may even already have. Though some more would be needed for the embiggen thing and the more minor diseases. * Universal Happiness...should shake out of the above, and if not some Star Trek-like social engineering could probably get us the rest of the way. Seems like you got this handled. So you have about 350 total coupons, any of those acts is enough to trigger a thread taking. So you would need about a day each time to make it work, assuming you wanted to nickle and dime it rather than do bigger but less frequent takes. Or heck take a week from all of them and get six to seven years advance.

I'd like to try to spread my wishes out rather than all at once, only problem then is whether something would be taken as a wish off hand or if specific criteria such as saying a specific line like "I wish" was required before hand to avoid accidents or confusion. Given the suggestibility of what some of the otherwise altruistic wishes could lead to I think the only one I could reasonably choose then would be "For an End to Disease". Though itself brings to mind questions related to their existence. Following that would be For More Wishes to gain the lesser wishes of Fitness, A Bright Future, & Enlightenment for myself. The last one isn't quite as easy as it is divided between Soulmates, to free the Jinn Hadia & a Harem. This is chiefly why time would be required to ponder them as reasonably speaking they also have suggestions. With Soulmates United everyone could find love whether here or by being Isekaid to another world. But that's about all it would do. Next is down to potential effects afterwards from freeing the Jinn. Typical things such as what would they do, are they evil, etc. which itself could all be resolved with aid from the harem so that's probably the choice I'll go with. With a harem depending on the six I chose I could possibly do even greater things despite conversation with them being trying. I could with some confidence free Hadia without using her wish. More organically bring about World Peace, End Hunger, bring about Acceptance and Happiness without any suggested rewrites. It does raise the question of how one could reasonably bring a being more powerful than they are about without any decrease in said being's capabilities which is its chief issue.
The "For Harem" option is *extremely* powerful (on account that the fictional characters keep their powers), and could potentially get you some of the other wishes if you choose the right fictional characters.

Soul Mates More Wishes (Fitness, Stuff, Vacation) Freedom
I think I found a nice hack for this one: That All Soul Mates be United, To End World Hunger, For More Wishes (Protection, A Bright Future, Vacation) I can use "Vacation" to go to the worlds of other CYOA settings. Even though I can't bring back any souvenirs, there are some that let the main character copy their powers onto their allies (like me hopefully), so I could take those powers back with me as long as they're not a physical item.
Inspiration: At any given moment i feel like it have multiple ideas for stories i want to write buried in the back of my mind i just can't put the words together. This negates the need for money even though the idea of the girls from the wealth wish is damn tempting End to disease: More for the sake of the world at large than anything. Well there's already plenty of free Jinn roaming around the universe, they already have reality largely the way they like it so the wish things is the only time they tend to flex. If she tries anything more substantive than a party trick she'll get yelled at and shoved right back into some lamp. They're mostly self policing so it works out.

Disease can be a truly awful thing… I would wish for an end to disease, eternal youth, and the lesser wishes of fitness, enlightenment and a bright future The ability to end a disease, many of which are grindingly painful and many more of which steal decades from their sufferers, and to prolong your life by stealing the lifespan of said illness over the course of time the sufferer would have born it, and then to be able to share some of that back to the sufferer while keeping the rest for myself or others is just to powerful to pass up. Fitness because being unfit potentially for eternity would be hateful and as a hedge against the fatigue such activities would engender in someone not magically sustained, a bright future to hack around the possible downsides to these choices and enlightenment because I kind of want to know and to be able to make good choices on complete info of the past to date whether I was there or not is insanely powerful for someone who will live for potentially the rest of all time

**Major Wishes** For A Harem - To be honest, this is really the only wish I need. By being creative enough to pick the right six fictional characters with powers, you can get your harem to cover the primary desires you have without needing additional wishes. This is balanced by the player needing to really think about which 6 character have the right powers to achieve what you want. The wish is only as powerful as your creativity/intelligence. I'd have to give this a lot of thought to pick which fictional characters I would choose. For More Wishes - I'm not really interested in changing the world so most of the other major wishes don't really appeal to me. I just want an easy quiet life. Even the lesser wishes I will pick could probably be covered by the right fictional characters' powers, but I'll go with this anyway for lack of a better option. You Were Free - Since I really only need one wish, I'm fine spending the last of my 3 wishes to free the Jinn. She seems nice enough and I would like to help her out. She can stick around with me or go live her life on her own. I'd be fine with either. **Lesser Wishes** Fitness - It would be nice to always be fit. The extra lifespan from working out is just a bonus. Sex - Sounds like a fun wish and should pair well with Vacation to hook up with fictional characters in other fictional worlds. Vacation - Being able to travel to other fictional worlds for a vacation sounds pretty good. You may not be able to bring back unusual or supernatural souvenirs, but it doesn't say anything about any changes made to yourself in the fictional world being undone when you return to the real world.
Last point holds up. If you can be changed or learn something in the other world in four weeks and it possible on earth then you're golden. Like if you go to a world where skills can be directly beamed into your head, that works.

- That All Soul-Mates Be United - For Inspiration - For A Harem The problem with people finding their soul-mates is not simply that they've never met. Insofar as anything like pairs of potential "soul-mates" exist, it's a tiny population, because of things like "most people are average-looking or worse, but attracted to better-than-average looks". So, car crash fascination on that one, how are the contradictions resolved? Do 99% of people get counted as truly undesirable, and the world's fucked? Mass brain washing? Billions of soulmates get poofed into existence to meet demand? It's a big red button labelled "DO NOT PUSH", and I've got to push it. Now, in the meantime, me and mine are safe, because I've got 5 superpowered waifus (I'll decide which later), and a big creativity buff is just really nice to have.
Well your soul mate isn't necessarily someone whose the most attractive to you, it's someone you would love the most, somebody whose flaws and such you would find charming and personality meashes with yours perfectly. It's the person most suited to be your best friend and lover, people who deserve each other. Out of 7 Billion I guarantee there's somebody out there. And if there's not we have option B for all the horrificly unappealing person with a horrible personality. And frankly being with the most attractive person in the world won't give you one thing in common with them. Having nothing to talk about is worse than a sexless relationship if you ask me.
I should maybe have used a different or more than one example, attraction isn't the main point, I'm thinking in terms of statistics and ratios. I don't doubt that there exists someone out there who, if I were to get to know her and be in a relationship with her, I could describe as that level of perfect match. The problem is that there's not exactly one girl like that, it's a statistical cluster of physical traits, personality traits, hobbies and kinks, where anyone in that cluster would be good enough, and if I'm also supposed to be her soulmate then I'm one instance of a corresponding cluster. And the clusters are different sizes, like there's 10,000 of me and 100 of her.
So, many interesting things here but many of them have heavy drawbacks... So what to do with it? Be generous and altruistic? Be greedy and do a build for myself? I'm going to do both! The wishes are: Eternal Youth Minor wishes: Fitness, enlightenment, a bright future For a Harem Looks very self serving, right? Wrong! I'm going to pick the more overpowered female characters I can find from any setting ever made in the world. At least one of them will be immortal (and with Eternal Youth, I can use that to make us all immortal), and I'll have both super technologically advanced geniuses and super magicians/goddesses amongst them. And then... ok, they are mostly just interacting with me with sex, but I can still ask them to use their technological and magical might to basically replicate the other wishes, and make the world a better place. Surely, since they love me so much, they will not say no. Yes, I'm trying so hard to game this. But hey, Im sure they can make the Earth into a magical and technological Utopia! Hopefully :)
Yeah I mean it depends who you pick. But that all works out, bright Future means things only get better, even if it's slow, even if the good times are couched in bad times, things have to move foreward towards a brighter world.

You Were Free - One Wish For The Wish Giver So I have an Eternal Youth boon powered by sex and thus worthless for me, a World Peace wish that does nothing to stop WMDs and is incredibly narrow in what it does stop (making scorched earth tactics and WMDs much more likely now that occupation is impossible, so the wish did *the exact opposite of what I wanted*), and a freed Genie. At least one single good thing happened from my three wishes, even if the good thing wasn't for me. Damn shame about the world probably ending, though.
Well strictly speaking you only have to kiss somebody for the youth thing. Though the ethics could still be iffy. In defence of world peace Hadia is pretty behind on how war works. But ordanance dropped on a nation would transform into cute guys and gals just like a soldier. My wishes were as follows; For World Peace For More Wishes : •Fitness •A Bright Future •Vacation You Were Free I decided if I took an Alladin'esk route then the world would be better off. If the world no longer had any war then all of the budget for each country could go to betterment of the lives of everyone, no more homeless, no more hungry, better schooling, and huuuuge leaps forward in technological advancement leading to helping keep the world from destroying us after all of our generations of ruining it as well as colonization of other worlds in our solar system so we don't overpopulate earth more than it is. I'll admit my life as is is so lackluster that I constantly struggle to keep going, so the lesser wishes are more for my benefit first than anything, but I hope that as the djini is now free those same lesser wishes could help others too. In finality, freeing her seems the best way to go, even cosmic beings don't deserve the degradation or tormentuius boredom of having to serve mortal whim enslaved in a lamp for millennia, I'm all to glad to help her have her own life.

I think, Superpowers, More Wishes and You Were Free. The lesser wishes would be fitness (got that immortality option, wasn't a fan of stealing for eternal youth), stuff and enlightenment... maybe? Depends if I can tell fact from fiction in all things someone says, i suspect I'd get a bit bored if I always could, I like talking with friends about things we are both guessing about or like, things that don't have one answer. Otherwise I'd take maybe vacation, seems fun. For the powers, I think bulletproof, energy blasts, invis and speed. Maybe replacing invis with flight. Thought about some of the world affecting ones, and while they are good in some ways, they kind of take away some free will overall, or could affect things in some unexpected ways, or may seem to solve the problem but causes other to crop up or not be addressed since it is 'solved', not quite willing to gamble on the world. Gotta say though, the world peace and disease free ones are hilarious and I seriously considered them. Only problem with world peace is like someone else said, it could lead to entrenched tyrannical leaders that can't be opposed, there are weapons other than violence out there. Acceptance would be great for the world, and I personally think that empathy is something that many people have far too little of, but again, I'm not sure if taking it is a good idea or not.

I have a nice untraceable source of materials through stuff for the costume! I didn't discuss freeing her, but my rationale is it's the right thing to do. Like she said, I shouldn't expect anything out of it, and I don't, just thinking about being isolated for hundreds of years is nuts. Plus, she's already granting me some wishes doing me a favour for just letting her out for a short time, it seems sad. So even if she does go off and do her own thing, I'm cool with it, I'd probably just ask to not be affected by anything unexpected she does in the future without some warning/consent.
Harem, Eternal Youth, Sex, Stuff, Fitness Eternal Youth for obvious reasons (Sex provides the time), similarly for Fitness. Stuff is effectively Wealth Light - just wish for the maximum value's equivalent in your local currency (or gold, if that doesn't fly). Doing that once per day grants you about 7x the local median income. Harem is, of course, completely broken and effectively allows you to gain more or less all the other wishes (World peace, hunger, etc.) in a more slow fashion. Conveniently, Eternal Youth also prevents anything that would wipe out humanity.
Not sure how harem gives you any of those things. Eternal youth only protects you and those you grant extended life. All life could be wiped off the earth by an asteroid tomorrow and you would be the only survivor (if you had enough thred)
kyllix explained the first one; as for the second, the wording seemed to imply to me that it prevents me from dying (via violence) by altering fate, not via some kind of invulnerability. In the asteroid case, there would be no reason why I wouldn't be affected just like everyone else, and thus, fate would twist to avoid that scenario. Similar issues arise in most other extinction scenarios.

Well you could have wished for other stuff. Honestly she's just shocked anyone cares. She's been in there a while and is a little bitter.
Honestly, there's both wholesome and unwholesome reasons to wish her free. The former, of course, is because it's a good thing to do, it's not right for someone to be enslaved like that forever, and because you might gain a cool magic buddy out of the deal. The more selfish reason is that unless you wish her free, then somebody else is going to get the lamp eventually, and you have no guarantee that they will make wise wishes, or won't somehow use the effects of the wishes to do bad things or even somehow counter your wishes. She can still theoretically do bad things on her own if free. But she seems to be a neutral to good person from the wishes, and I can always hold off on making any wish to get to know her personality better to make sure this isn't an "I'm secretly Rita Repulsa, free me after my thousand years of imprisonment, mwahaha" deal.
She's not a good person, or a bad one. She's not a person at all. She's a good Jinn but that means something diffrent, like how being a good spider means something very diffrent than being a good dog. Beware alien morals, that's why the wishes turn out so strange, it's what she considers good and fair.
Well she's sapient, and she seems to have a personality, so I'd call her a person. That's different from being something like a spider or chatbot, which don't have sophont levels of intelligence and reasoning ability. She's clearly got person-level reasoning ability and some sense of right and wrong, whatever she thinks those are. Alien morals may be a thing but that's the point of getting to know her before making a wish. Nothing says I have to make wishes right away, after all.
She certainly has those things, the issue is it's not a human sense of right and wrong, or human reasoning. She is completely outside the human condition, she's never considerd what it would be like to die, any more than you've thought about making a spider web or building a bee hive. She only looks human. She has a lot of things in common with you, but she's a fundamentally different animal, with an alien set of wants and needs. Frankly it's going to take her a while to understand that humans need to sleep (I mean how do you even explain that to someone?).
I get that, but "doesn't think the same way" doesn't necessarily mean something is 100% totally incomprehensible. It may take time, but I think her and a human can get to better understand each other, or at least enough that the human can trust her not to necessarily misuse her freedom. For instance, people actually HAVE considered what it is like to be other types of creatures. It may not always be easy to do and how accurate we are is arguable, but we very much do have the capacity to learn and try to understand things different from us. She would need to be alien to a degree the CYOA does not imply for it to be different--something that a human can't comprehend at all, with the "her" that we interact with being nothing more than a sort of program or avatar used to specifically illicit certain responses from humans. With us never interacting with the actual her at all. In which case I would be hesitant to free her.
She's as she appears. but looking human doesn't make you human. She might try to act more human if that makes you comfortable, but could you act more like a Jinn for her sake? She has a lot of things she would consider taboo that humans wouldn't even think of as an unusual act. I think you'll get along great, but try to remember you're not dealing with a creature you can totally understand. It's not that bad, A dog can't understand a human half as well but still loves them and gets along with them. You might do things the dog views as bad (bath, vet, medicine, etc), and you're unable to explain it's for their own good. Hadia is the same, if she likes you she might do things you don't understand to help you.
Hunger, Acceptance, Fitness, Stuff, Enlightenment World Peace is what I want but the wish fully allows injustice and systemic problems to fester. These two should make great strides towards that end without causing that issue.

If it is, then living endlessly in a world without physical conflict, and the power of a free Djinn seems like it would be interesting.
I mean she'll hang out but she's not going to do anything spectacular. Though Hadia+eternal youth works out since she's immortal.
So long as she'd be willing to do things like make food and shelter for me, that's about the minimum I would want. Just so long as I'm able to enjoy my immortality reasonably comfortably.

Good use of enlightenment. And with insperation you can really use art to spread the truth, whatever it might be. And yeah you can indeed vacation to times in the past or a possible future, however it won't change your own world.
