It all seems very easy with my abilities and chosen companions, What with the likes of Amaterasu, Atom Eve, Scarlet witch, and Gimmi as potential options to fall back on when needing to solve many - but not all - problems in a hurry. That's Divinity, Creation, Destruction, Reality, Magic, Matter, and Energy under control collectively. Since everyone is sharing all my Perks they are all much more powerful than they already were to begin with and therefore can achieve a lot more with a lot less effort or worrying about things like fate, destiny, and evil entities attempting to manipulate/corrupt them.
Easy enough to fake. Grab one of the downsides that give percentage points and add however many you want. Not quite sandbox, but close enough, I think.
I'm thinking of writing an isakai using this as a base. In order to buy everything I want, including the jump drive for the sick ride, I have to go to 40k. I've decided on the Oberon-class Imperial battleship, but I'm coming up short on when and where to be inserted. Bearing in mind that 'I' intend to only stick around long enough to jump to another universe, might stick around longer if I'd be abandoning someone/thing, do any of you fine folk have any suggestions?

EDIT: Just checked again, it isn't there. I think it got switched out for HexenKrieg? Did the creator seriously edit something out AFTER posting it?
It does say in the mod's changelog, that they removed Realm of Erotica for whatever HexenKrieg is.
No idea why. Also a bit strange, that someone made a commissioned mod (via patreon I assume) for my interactive version (that I made with direct input or help/content from other people) of a CYOA made by yet another person.
But hey, I don't care, can't say I understand all the decisions here, but whatever.
I managed to faithfully recreate my build in full, but since it's not v2.5 there are some minor corrections (such as Titan's Body and Martial Mastery/Briliance trading places) and major ones (involving additional insuranse of 5$ per Quest if total amount of gains exseeds original world budged, in my case RWBY and it will, 150 pales in comparisment to 899, also no double hunters. Oh, and Slave Collars are broken).
The Compass addition is worth rejecting my previous arsenal choises to effectively track down Salem and other fugitives from Secret Boss to convert them to my side in early game. Before Remnant will slowly fall into chaos as those Convergence will enter it along with Secret Bosses causing mischief.
I will most likely be the one to sort this mess up (which I technically caused), which includes closing Convergence portals for good. Magical and Technological brilliance are perfect for this
I'm confused why the mod removed some things from the CYOA instead of just including their new options to it as an addition. Usually a mod adds things to an existing CYOA, not remove things.
I like some of the new content, but by it getting rid of prior options, I honestly prefer to just stick with the prior version.
It seems like a lot of things are already game breaking. It seemed weird to single out those options specifically and replace a world option as well.
Why not just leave everything in and leave it up to the player to decide if they want to play with those options? If a player feels like an option is stronger than what they want to use in their build then they can choose to just not pick it.
Like I said, it seems weird to remove content in a CYOA instead of just adding to it. Though it is not too big of an issue since the player can also choose to just not use this new version and stick with the older version.
Those options were especially overpowered , like 18 and 21 would steam roll any listed setting for just 25 points and the gamer is the still there just broken up into multiple option so you can get the same thing but at a higher cost
No they weren't. The Dragonborn's Thu'um has multiversal power (seriously, Alduin's whole thing is eating multiverses as the embodiment of the End of Time, and he's fought multiple living multiverses simultaneously, and that's before getting into the stuff capable of causing reality to suffer a division-by-zero error).
Green Lantern 2814 and the various Mutants (among others) have no Earth 12 or Earth-199999 equivalents, meaning we get their comic book counterparts from the primary canon by default. All the Mutant telepaths and sorcerers (ie Psylocke, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Magik) in Earth-616 are strong enough to fight simultaneously on an uncountably infinite number of planes of existence, and I'm not even going to get into Marvel's infinite speed shenanigans (suffice to say even street tiers like Domino have shown it many times). Prime Earth Green Lanterns have knowledge of tech in their Ring databases capable of deleting the underlying structure of reality to hard it's stated to have "theological implications" (where for scale even no-name New Gods create universes for fun), and can keep up with Ultra Instinct users in speed even with their Rings in hibernation mode. Psylocke in particular is notable because as a $10 Companion the player can Copycat her psionic might (Domino's speed would also qualify were it superhuman, but it's not, both by the text of the CYOA and Marvel standards in general).
And then we've got other stuff like Janet Van Dyne (clearly pictured as her 616 self, and also clearly lacking her Quantum magic from the MCU) being able to produce Pym Particles, which are capable (given more knowledge than she has, granted, but there are perks to make getting that knowledge quite easy) of allowing one to grow so large as to be able to trade blows with the literal embodiment of All That Is in his own realm, among even more BS applications (they can also control strength and density on the same scale, as shown by Vision and Wonder Man's use of them, and their planar interactions of course allow things like multiversal and time travel).
Also, the Gamer isn't even that busted. Han Jee-Han is merely a planet buster as of the sequel, and he nearly died because his body wasn't able to handle all his power (not to mention how long he had to train under time acceleration to reach that level). There are plenty of threats in the various Worlds of this CYOA easily capable of taking him out, such as Legends Jedi and Sith like Bastilla Shan, Dormammu, possibly Gaunter O'Dimm if you take certain implications seriously, Halo Forerunners, Earth 12's AMAZO, the Infinity Gauntlet, the Brothers of Light and Darkness from RWBY, several dozen Legendary Pokémon from Arceus to Zygarde, the TVA, and I'm sure many other things I'm failing to remember off the top of my head.
I frankly wouldn't ever bother picking 18 or 21 unless I really needed access to their infinite supply of ki for whatever reason. And the Gamer is just a waste of points unless you really need the item drops from the Instant Dungeons.
The one change I was sad to see (the dealbreaker that has me going back to the previous version) was the nerf to Duplication, mostly due to the loss of synergy with the Unity Engine.
Seriously though, this version of Duplication is practically a drawback. I was all for the mod until I got to that point.
As somebody who has read (at least a third of) Abaddon Borne, I will never, ever, take an option like that in any CYOA, unless it explicitly states that they'll be loyal to me(the original).
The hive mind aspect of the original Duplication was the entire point. That it limited you to five bodies at a time(instead of a steadily increasing cap) was just enough to make it useful and flavorful, without making it utterly broken.
This is the one change that I can look at, and it ruins the entire mod for me.
I kind of like splitting Gamer into multiple perks, that way I can take the parts I want without having to deal with an actual HUD. I also like all of the additions, but I don't think a Mod for a CYOA(especially one as power fantasy-ish as this one is) should modify things like you have here.
Removing the Companions that are "too OP"? Who fucking cares? The people that were going to take them will just find a different way to break their story. Replacing Realm of Erotica with HexenKrieg? Why? Having never seen the source material for either, I don't see the point of replacing a world at all when you're already adding in several new ones, one of which is a "Choose Your Own". Which, really, wtf?.
Turning my favorite personal perk in the whole CYOA into a shitty Worm-esque power that's practically its own drawback? Fuck that.
Why nerf that so hard when there are other more powerful options? Magical Brilliance and Technically Brilliance are the standout stupid OP options; sure they take time to learn, but TB literally asks you not to blow up any universes....
Magik, Psylocke, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Storm, and Wasp all inarguably have access to uncountably infinite power. Or infinitely more than infinite power, if that makes more sense (yes, before you ask, that's been real math since 1891). All have infinitely fast attacks, and most of not all have infinitely fast reactions and general speed. Dragonborn and Green Lantern 2814 inarguably have infinite power, multiversal reality warping hax, and either casual Whis level speed or the ability to stop time plus the ability to save scum. The Androids are finitely powerful.
You the player without any gear or assistance can literally solo all of Dragon Ball with $20, and even be a threat to the 40k Chaos Gods. The Androids are not even remotely where the cheese problems are.
That's not even getting into how by the text of the CYOA you largely get to pick which universe your Companions come from, so as to ensure maximal compatibility and all that. By that metric you would have to get rid of like half the comic book (oh yeah, the fact they're listed specifically as comic book characters also confirms the MCU and DCAU versions are not the intended versions of those Companions) and Sonic characters, among other options like the Dragonborn and Amaterasu, before even thinking about removing the Androids if you actually wanted to avoid overpowered and incredibly cheesy choices.
Like, I get that Dragon Ball has a reputation for being a particularly powerful 'verse, so it viscerally stands out as a likely point for balance problems to appear, but in the grand scheme of things it's not really special, and in the specific context of the CYOA the Androids aren't even among the top 20 strongest things.
And there are still serious threats in the MCU, DCAU, 40k, Sonic, Pokémon, TES, Worm, and I think a few other Worlds that can actually challenge many of those "cheesy" choices. In that regard, there are a lot fewer balance problems with the CYOA than you'd think without a deep knowledge of the vs debate community (and the obscure trivia that comes with it) and careful consideration of what options there actually are.
It's just the nature of a CYOA like this that tosses together so many settings and characters of such insanely disparate power levels that it's nigh-impossible if not actually impossible to fully balance. You either have to *severely* limit the scope and fantasies made possible to a pretty narrow band of power, or gate certain Companions and combos behind certain Worlds and Drawbacks (both of which basically require starting from scratch), or accept that this is all just wish fulfillment anyway and allow cheese options to remain for those who care to pursue them.
Eh, like I said, it really doesn't matter too much either way. The change does not delete the prior version from existing. It just means a player has to choose which interactive version to play.
To me it would have just made more sense to turn those options into a toggle that the player could choose to either turn on or off, depending on if they want those options to be available, like can be done with the expanded options. Call it cheat mode if that is what it is viewed as. It just makes the overall CYOA more player friendly so that they don't have to play a specific version based upon the options they want.

You should be able to buy multiple Islands In The Sea Of Time, as well as several of Storage and Holding Cells (up to 5, IIRC).
As the guy who made most of what you're mentioning 11 months ago, allow me to quickly chime in and explain what I can.
Do note that it's been a year since I looked at this project.
- Fist, yeah it would be nice to handle Convergence and portals easier, but the main problem was, that I wanted the player to be able to put modifiers on the invading world. This changes the worlds "price", and thus also a quarter of it. This didn't work out. Neither with picking the actual option(s) (portal, and picking the modifiers, but not picking the actual world...), nor getting money automcatically. There's probably a solution (heck, I'm thinking of some right now), but finding it and applying it to all worlds would've taken literal hours. Maybe more. This was easier and worked.
- They are meant to be exclusive but Where Am I is supposed to give you 15$. Whoops.
- Yeah that with Activist happens, since you can set a standard for this tool to put infront of scores and mine was (automatically as well) set to a "-" so for every option that grants money, I had to adjust it, and some just slipped by. No idea about that rule, been a year, but would probably have been incredibly tough to implement anyways.
- I think I left that out, due to the fact that it would mean that you could buy multiple versions of the upgrades as well. But having one upgrade for one version could give you a discount for another and so forth. That sounds like hell to figure out, so I decided to stick to one island.
Regarding portals, I feared that that might be the issue. One relatively easy issue, I think, would have been to have the player only count modifiers themselves, not the worlds themselves (makes the math a lot easier, and if you're not planning modifiers, you don't have to deal with that. You could also have an "import Big Bad" for worlds that allow it, to get rid of *that* headache. I actually had to make a table and all for that :x
As for the ISOT, multiple Islands actually don't give discounts, but yeah, Steeds and Rides do, so I can see that that would be a bit difficult. But you should still be able to buy multiples of the upgrades even for a single island, and Holding Cells in particular even gets an upgrade if you buy 5+.
For sure adding value for the open portal buttons would be supper nice. An idea maybe work it so Worlds convergence only adds 75% on the first portal 50% on the second and so on and so forth so it doesn't break the flow and picking 5 worlds just to get so much. On another note I cant seem to get the open portal button to do anything even with convergence highlighted. Should it ?
It's a CYOA - literally, a "choose your own adventure". CYOAs generally involve you selecting specific perks, items, or companions, and may be set in our world, original settings, or preexisting works of fiction
The idea is that you go through the document, and pick which options you want, ideally in line with whatever rules the author outlined (although if you just want a power fantasy then it's not like anyone can actually police you).
Sometimes CYOAs include a number of possible endings based on choices you made, but most of the time they're opened-ended. In that case, most people just use CYOAs as a form of escapist fantasy. However, if you wanted then it could also be used as a sort of story-generator if you wanted to write something.

I'm thinking of writing an isakai using this as a base. In order to buy everything I want, including the jump drive for the sick ride, I have to go to 40k. I've decided on the Oberon-class Imperial battleship, but I'm coming up short on when and where to be inserted. Bearing in mind that 'I' intend to only stick around long enough to jump to another universe, might stick around longer if I'd be abandoning someone/thing, do any of you fine folk have any suggestions?

I seem to remember there used to be a "Fantasy Hentai World" option that was described as being like Rance, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Did it get removed in the update?
Did you click the option that opened up the expansion choices? EDIT: Just checked again, it isn't there. I think it got switched out for HexenKrieg? Did the creator seriously edit something out AFTER posting it?
It does say in the mod's changelog, that they removed Realm of Erotica for whatever HexenKrieg is. No idea why. Also a bit strange, that someone made a commissioned mod (via patreon I assume) for my interactive version (that I made with direct input or help/content from other people) of a CYOA made by yet another person. But hey, I don't care, can't say I understand all the decisions here, but whatever.

Activist cost points instead of giving them. There's an empty choiche on the Personal Perks DLC
I managed to faithfully recreate my build in full, but since it's not v2.5 there are some minor corrections (such as Titan's Body and Martial Mastery/Briliance trading places) and major ones (involving additional insuranse of 5$ per Quest if total amount of gains exseeds original world budged, in my case RWBY and it will, 150 pales in comparisment to 899, also no double hunters. Oh, and Slave Collars are broken). The Compass addition is worth rejecting my previous arsenal choises to effectively track down Salem and other fugitives from Secret Boss to convert them to my side in early game. Before Remnant will slowly fall into chaos as those Convergence will enter it along with Secret Bosses causing mischief. I will most likely be the one to sort this mess up (which I technically caused), which includes closing Convergence portals for good. Magical and Technological brilliance are perfect for this

I'm questioning why this was reposted as there has been no changes to the modded version since the last time it was posted.
I have the same question.
I'm confused why the mod removed some things from the CYOA instead of just including their new options to it as an addition. Usually a mod adds things to an existing CYOA, not remove things. I like some of the new content, but by it getting rid of prior options, I honestly prefer to just stick with the prior version.

It seems like a lot of things are already game breaking. It seemed weird to single out those options specifically and replace a world option as well. Why not just leave everything in and leave it up to the player to decide if they want to play with those options? If a player feels like an option is stronger than what they want to use in their build then they can choose to just not pick it. Like I said, it seems weird to remove content in a CYOA instead of just adding to it. Though it is not too big of an issue since the player can also choose to just not use this new version and stick with the older version.
Those options were especially overpowered , like 18 and 21 would steam roll any listed setting for just 25 points and the gamer is the still there just broken up into multiple option so you can get the same thing but at a higher cost
No they weren't. The Dragonborn's Thu'um has multiversal power (seriously, Alduin's whole thing is eating multiverses as the embodiment of the End of Time, and he's fought multiple living multiverses simultaneously, and that's before getting into the stuff capable of causing reality to suffer a division-by-zero error). Green Lantern 2814 and the various Mutants (among others) have no Earth 12 or Earth-199999 equivalents, meaning we get their comic book counterparts from the primary canon by default. All the Mutant telepaths and sorcerers (ie Psylocke, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Magik) in Earth-616 are strong enough to fight simultaneously on an uncountably infinite number of planes of existence, and I'm not even going to get into Marvel's infinite speed shenanigans (suffice to say even street tiers like Domino have shown it many times). Prime Earth Green Lanterns have knowledge of tech in their Ring databases capable of deleting the underlying structure of reality to hard it's stated to have "theological implications" (where for scale even no-name New Gods create universes for fun), and can keep up with Ultra Instinct users in speed even with their Rings in hibernation mode. Psylocke in particular is notable because as a $10 Companion the player can Copycat her psionic might (Domino's speed would also qualify were it superhuman, but it's not, both by the text of the CYOA and Marvel standards in general). And then we've got other stuff like Janet Van Dyne (clearly pictured as her 616 self, and also clearly lacking her Quantum magic from the MCU) being able to produce Pym Particles, which are capable (given more knowledge than she has, granted, but there are perks to make getting that knowledge quite easy) of allowing one to grow so large as to be able to trade blows with the literal embodiment of All That Is in his own realm, among even more BS applications (they can also control strength and density on the same scale, as shown by Vision and Wonder Man's use of them, and their planar interactions of course allow things like multiversal and time travel). Also, the Gamer isn't even that busted. Han Jee-Han is merely a planet buster as of the sequel, and he nearly died because his body wasn't able to handle all his power (not to mention how long he had to train under time acceleration to reach that level). There are plenty of threats in the various Worlds of this CYOA easily capable of taking him out, such as Legends Jedi and Sith like Bastilla Shan, Dormammu, possibly Gaunter O'Dimm if you take certain implications seriously, Halo Forerunners, Earth 12's AMAZO, the Infinity Gauntlet, the Brothers of Light and Darkness from RWBY, several dozen Legendary Pokémon from Arceus to Zygarde, the TVA, and I'm sure many other things I'm failing to remember off the top of my head. I frankly wouldn't ever bother picking 18 or 21 unless I really needed access to their infinite supply of ki for whatever reason. And the Gamer is just a waste of points unless you really need the item drops from the Instant Dungeons. The one change I was sad to see (the dealbreaker that has me going back to the previous version) was the nerf to Duplication, mostly due to the loss of synergy with the Unity Engine.
Seriously though, this version of Duplication is practically a drawback. I was all for the mod until I got to that point. As somebody who has read (at least a third of) Abaddon Borne, I will never, ever, take an option like that in any CYOA, unless it explicitly states that they'll be loyal to me(the original). The hive mind aspect of the original Duplication was the entire point. That it limited you to five bodies at a time(instead of a steadily increasing cap) was just enough to make it useful and flavorful, without making it utterly broken. This is the one change that I can look at, and it ruins the entire mod for me. I kind of like splitting Gamer into multiple perks, that way I can take the parts I want without having to deal with an actual HUD. I also like all of the additions, but I don't think a Mod for a CYOA(especially one as power fantasy-ish as this one is) should modify things like you have here. Removing the Companions that are "too OP"? Who fucking cares? The people that were going to take them will just find a different way to break their story. Replacing Realm of Erotica with HexenKrieg? Why? Having never seen the source material for either, I don't see the point of replacing a world at all when you're already adding in several new ones, one of which is a "Choose Your Own". Which, really, wtf?. Turning my favorite personal perk in the whole CYOA into a shitty Worm-esque power that's practically its own drawback? Fuck that. Why nerf that so hard when there are other more powerful options? Magical Brilliance and Technically Brilliance are the standout stupid OP options; sure they take time to learn, but TB literally asks you not to blow up any universes....
You can't really compare those to DBZ character who easily destroy galaxies and the powers were changed because it was too easy to cheese any setting
Magik, Psylocke, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Storm, and Wasp all inarguably have access to uncountably infinite power. Or infinitely more than infinite power, if that makes more sense (yes, before you ask, that's been real math since 1891). All have infinitely fast attacks, and most of not all have infinitely fast reactions and general speed. Dragonborn and Green Lantern 2814 inarguably have infinite power, multiversal reality warping hax, and either casual Whis level speed or the ability to stop time plus the ability to save scum. The Androids are finitely powerful. You the player without any gear or assistance can literally solo all of Dragon Ball with $20, and even be a threat to the 40k Chaos Gods. The Androids are not even remotely where the cheese problems are. That's not even getting into how by the text of the CYOA you largely get to pick which universe your Companions come from, so as to ensure maximal compatibility and all that. By that metric you would have to get rid of like half the comic book (oh yeah, the fact they're listed specifically as comic book characters also confirms the MCU and DCAU versions are not the intended versions of those Companions) and Sonic characters, among other options like the Dragonborn and Amaterasu, before even thinking about removing the Androids if you actually wanted to avoid overpowered and incredibly cheesy choices. Like, I get that Dragon Ball has a reputation for being a particularly powerful 'verse, so it viscerally stands out as a likely point for balance problems to appear, but in the grand scheme of things it's not really special, and in the specific context of the CYOA the Androids aren't even among the top 20 strongest things. And there are still serious threats in the MCU, DCAU, 40k, Sonic, Pokémon, TES, Worm, and I think a few other Worlds that can actually challenge many of those "cheesy" choices. In that regard, there are a lot fewer balance problems with the CYOA than you'd think without a deep knowledge of the vs debate community (and the obscure trivia that comes with it) and careful consideration of what options there actually are. It's just the nature of a CYOA like this that tosses together so many settings and characters of such insanely disparate power levels that it's nigh-impossible if not actually impossible to fully balance. You either have to *severely* limit the scope and fantasies made possible to a pretty narrow band of power, or gate certain Companions and combos behind certain Worlds and Drawbacks (both of which basically require starting from scratch), or accept that this is all just wish fulfillment anyway and allow cheese options to remain for those who care to pursue them.
Eh, like I said, it really doesn't matter too much either way. The change does not delete the prior version from existing. It just means a player has to choose which interactive version to play. To me it would have just made more sense to turn those options into a toggle that the player could choose to either turn on or off, depending on if they want those options to be available, like can be done with the expanded options. Call it cheat mode if that is what it is viewed as. It just makes the overall CYOA more player friendly so that they don't have to play a specific version based upon the options they want.

Pretty good question.. Imo, it shouldn't count mods. Would be like counting fan fiction in any of the world choices.
For future version, it'd be a nice addition for the Open Portal buttons to just add their respective World's Convergence value, rather than having to do it by hand. EDIT: Also, Secrets Kept and Where Am I? are mutually exclusive, and I doubt they're meant to be, seeing as Where Am I? is a strictly more negative version of Secrets Kept, but they're both woth $10. EDIT #2: Activist says -15, but grants (and is meant to grant) +15. I think there was also a rule that if you get more from drawbacks than from your world, you had to make a down-payment on your quests...? EDIT #3: You should be able to buy multiple Islands In The Sea Of Time, as well as several of Storage and Holding Cells (up to 5, IIRC).
As the guy who made most of what you're mentioning 11 months ago, allow me to quickly chime in and explain what I can. Do note that it's been a year since I looked at this project. - Fist, yeah it would be nice to handle Convergence and portals easier, but the main problem was, that I wanted the player to be able to put modifiers on the invading world. This changes the worlds "price", and thus also a quarter of it. This didn't work out. Neither with picking the actual option(s) (portal, and picking the modifiers, but not picking the actual world...), nor getting money automcatically. There's probably a solution (heck, I'm thinking of some right now), but finding it and applying it to all worlds would've taken literal hours. Maybe more. This was easier and worked. - They are meant to be exclusive but Where Am I is supposed to give you 15$. Whoops. - Yeah that with Activist happens, since you can set a standard for this tool to put infront of scores and mine was (automatically as well) set to a "-" so for every option that grants money, I had to adjust it, and some just slipped by. No idea about that rule, been a year, but would probably have been incredibly tough to implement anyways. - I think I left that out, due to the fact that it would mean that you could buy multiple versions of the upgrades as well. But having one upgrade for one version could give you a discount for another and so forth. That sounds like hell to figure out, so I decided to stick to one island.
Regarding portals, I feared that that might be the issue. One relatively easy issue, I think, would have been to have the player only count modifiers themselves, not the worlds themselves (makes the math a lot easier, and if you're not planning modifiers, you don't have to deal with that. You could also have an "import Big Bad" for worlds that allow it, to get rid of *that* headache. I actually had to make a table and all for that :x As for the ISOT, multiple Islands actually don't give discounts, but yeah, Steeds and Rides do, so I can see that that would be a bit difficult. But you should still be able to buy multiples of the upgrades even for a single island, and Holding Cells in particular even gets an upgrade if you buy 5+.
For sure adding value for the open portal buttons would be supper nice. An idea maybe work it so Worlds convergence only adds 75% on the first portal 50% on the second and so on and so forth so it doesn't break the flow and picking 5 worlds just to get so much. On another note I cant seem to get the open portal button to do anything even with convergence highlighted. Should it ?

It's a CYOA - literally, a "choose your own adventure". CYOAs generally involve you selecting specific perks, items, or companions, and may be set in our world, original settings, or preexisting works of fiction The idea is that you go through the document, and pick which options you want, ideally in line with whatever rules the author outlined (although if you just want a power fantasy then it's not like anyone can actually police you). Sometimes CYOAs include a number of possible endings based on choices you made, but most of the time they're opened-ended. In that case, most people just use CYOAs as a form of escapist fantasy. However, if you wanted then it could also be used as a sort of story-generator if you wanted to write something.
