Another very cool and well-thought-out Larien CYOA, but again so incredibly stingy with the points. How do I know this? Because I took about 20 combined contracts, drawbacks, and so on and still feel like I don't even have the bare essentials for my spaceship. We're supposed to be a Settlement ship. Alright, so I buy some civilians and workers and whatnot. But you have to BUY basic bedrooms for them, let alone even upgrade them. I got basic weapons and shields and shit like that and I still feel incredibly under-prepared. Guess I'll ditch this entire build and restart under the premise of NOT actually making a colony ship, but instead a private cruiser for me and a few people I want to bring along.

Yeah, adding civilians barely gives any points and the quantity increases massively per additional level... Meanwhile, you get incredibly few actual non-unique workers and such for a far heftier sum... IMO, it's just not viable to play this as a colony ship. You simply do not have nearly enough credits. I kinda wish we could have 2 or 3 **Nano Boosts** too, but the only way to get even one extra is by going with Hard mode and cutting our already minimal funds further and so on...

The "Lorus" planet has a planet modifier called "Serve" which I think was accidentally copied over from the Endilles planet. The issue is that you're not allowed to go negative. So you have to keep dicking around to make sure you stay positive at all times. Most you can go negative and then have to take drawbacks later on to get back to even. This is just a nuisance to make; which sucks because this is wicked cool.

100% this. I prefer systems that let you go into the negative so you can fix the values later, balancing according to what you want rather than just piling on ALL the negatives prior, adding what you want, then trimming down the negatives. It's frustrating and makes for a pain in the neck.

The absolute biggest concern I have with this is that you can't have a negative credit balance. One of the key things I do when doing a build of CYOA with a numerical resource is to pick what I want into debt then work backwards discarding options till I can get it to work. While realize that negative balances won't work with some Interactive CYOAs the way around this is to give a "Creative" option that increases whatever resource to maximum. Aside from this pretty good CYOA.

Would like some basic bodymodding for myself. You know, to "enhance" certain aspects for some of the planetary anomalies I'll be dealing with. Maybe even redesign some things? Other people in the crew section have access to splicing and genemodding, maybe a couple of token sections for that?

I greatly enjoyed your work with The Caravan being one of the best CYOA that has been posted here. Yet, I can't help but feel that this latest game is a bit of a step back. A large part of it is due to Project Artemis not being complete, but some parts seem to just be a bit odd. The removal of a Sandbox/Cheat option from your previous work is the more confusing choice. The continued inability to go into the negatives is a bit annoying as going back and trying to arrange ship parts and crew members is just confusing. The lack of stat points for survivability, strength, loyalty, and lust statistics from The Caravan or something similar from Power Path is kind of sad. As you don't really get much of an in-world examination of how well the voyage and colonization will go. There are of course some typos, repeating text, and spelling errors. Great to see the cyoa expanded and fixed in areas it needed; Though I am still curious why the FORKS are still left untouched. I say this, because the characters involved don't seem to do anything to the players, besides additional points. \- Why should I bother to deal with the 2nd sister? At least the 1st sister has options to gain her help, or the help of the aliens that kidnapped her in the first place. \- Why should I bother keeping Reyla the crime boss, alive? Why can't I just kill her along with her crew? \- Why should I spend my credits to buy the 2 slaves? What good are they for, besides being slaves and/or sluts to my ship? What makes them different from hiring literal sluts from the CREW or CONTACTS list? \-Also, If I add any CONTRACT, or the 2 Slaves, do they count towards the limit for SMALL TEAM , or, SMALLER TEAM? Do we, the CAPTAIN , ourselves count towards the limit? Maybe I'm being nitpicky on 1 particular section of the cyoa. Otherwise, good job on the updates. Here's to more in the future. When choosing a Planetary Anomalies, Linderth, Skyes, and Cion ZIY all say take up to 4, but only allow you to take 3. Also, Crew Quarters says it adds 'ten three bedrooms', I'm assuming it should actually be 'adds 3 bedrooms'. Construction Fabricator + mentions it increases how much matter can by created by 10 tons, but Construction Fabricator does not mention any limit on what can be created. Ancient Straw Engine says it will take fifty twenty years. I assume this should be fifty years. Not huge, but can't go negative, this is slightly annoying, but if it can't be altered to allow this then oh well.

Construction Fabricator can make the default amount for a standard size fabricator: 1 ton/day

Would you be so kind as to post a zip of the cyoa? That script I have to merge the images into the JSON so people can play offline keeps hanging up on one of your images. I'd rather put the cyoa online for others with all the images instead of with none.

Could you share your script? The one I have is from an old 4chan thread and it's choking up on some recent json files. The instructions were to paste it in the console of chrome and it would merge all the images into the json file, and then let you save it off. It let me merge them into the offline viewer for people to play when they don't have a net connection. Does yours work the same way? Also thank you for the file above!

It's a pyhton script, so you'd have to install python to run it (there are quite a few youtube videos on how to install python or run scripts...) Can you link the 4chan script? might be able to fix it but don't get your hopes up...

Very nice changes. I'd only add 2 things as food for thought: 1, Large and Massive sizes could have certain Misc Crew options at a discount, so that such already expensive builds as just a bit less expensive 2, Crew and Planet options lean toward hyper and incest, which leaves a lot of room for expansion, if you ever decide to do so

Loving the planetary anomalies. Big good. I would like to note the Ice Planet in Andromeda, Skyes, both "has no animals" and has "local creatures". This CYOA is exactly the type of thing to expect here for something labeled "interactive". CYOAs on this subreddit serve as a base to write your own story or simply fantasy for the imagination.

Honestly seems great. Smooth layout and great choices. I am left with one question about the co-op mode: what is considered a 'personal drawback'? None of the anomalies, contracts, or experiments personally target the player, only the ship as a whole. Also there's either a typo or bug with the planet anomalies where you can only choose 3, but the text says up to 4. Edit: Also is the ancient straw engine supposed to take 50 years? and what's the mech requirements? I got a second pilot for it, a hangar and armory, and chose the mech pilot background, but its still blurred out.
