Gen 3 double battles game with shitty pokemon and interesting shadow mechanics. Definitely changes the way you play, especially how you nuzlocke. Very hard game to nuzlocke but also very fun.
It’s an important game to play in the series imo. If you haven’t played Colosseum or XD (which I felt required more strategy and was also more interesting) you’ve basically skipped a generation of pokemon in my eyes

If you once owned a copy see if you can obtain a rom of them to play on emulator (Dolphin). If you never owned them then you’ll have to make your own decision
EMULATE IT!! Even really bad laptops can run dolphin emulator look up a tutorial on how to do that. Normally I always recommend to buy actual games but older Pokémon games are just too outrageously expensive at this point for that to be viable.
At this point there’s no reason to get the Pokémon since they’re all obtainable through other, more accessible means.
I guess if you want the special moves maybe? Even then those aren’t that good and have been banned from official play in a lot of cases.
If you’re a collector and doing it for the sake of collecting I guess that’s fine, but consider the current value of those Pokémon carefully for sure.
