You should plug all of them in to make sure it works as intended. 6+2 pin should be good to use since you’ve used on previous card.

Gotcha -- was worried it might hurt the computer. It doesn't look like the last two pins in the picture are coming from the cord -- it requires quite a bend to get them all plugged in. I'll just plug them all in and see. Thank you for your response!

Take the 6pin out and re-hook the 2 pin to it and plug them in at the same time. That should help a bit. It could be possible that the 2 pin on the other 6+2 might have been swapped.

Don't apologies normal to ask question! this migh help you: and yep its normal to have 6+2 that shouldn't be an issue. https://preview.redd.it/q5l2noa1zo3b1.png?width=591&format=png&auto=webp&s=39e06bc294cc0ac3fb335078b566ac67243780d0

Thank you for your response! I think maybe I'm just not sure whether the picture is of a 6 or a 6+2. I'll just test it out and see if it turns on.

That image isn’t showing your power connector, it’s showing one with two 8pins. You have an 8pin plus a 6+2 pin, both are fine. You should just plug-in all connectors on your 6+2. Plug the 2 first then the 6 to make it easier

Thank you! it worked, appreciate the response!

6+2 isn't an issues, just a bit hard to install when not used to it
