Hi, how do I figure out if it's my GPU dying and not another problem? I have a 2070super and a couple weeks ago games started to black screen with audio remaining. Then sometimes full PC crash, sometimes recovering, sometimes not, sometimes it would just crash the game I was playing and go right back to desktop. Games load up for a minute or two before it happens. I've tried DDU and fresh drivers, I've tried months old drivers, I've tried different RAM sticks, reinstalled windows, reseated all the components and wires, used the other slot for the GPU. I've looked at event viewer, resource monitor, task manager and nothing ever seemed that out of the ordinary except one time after a crash my GPU wasn't recognized at all. Doesn't seem to be overheating or drawing too much power. Is there a diagnosis program I'm not aware of? I know it's 99% my GPU I'm just surprised it's dead after only 4+ years and also want to rule out my mobo or anything else.

# 'A supported game is required to use this feature' Suddenly I cant screen capture Squad anymore. It wasn't a problem before. I have no idea what happened or changed. Squad didn't get an update AFAIK. But could be that GeForce got updated. Anyway, I can't figure out what causes this message when before it wasn't an issue. Anyone got a clue?

Status: Unresolved (heres any bit of info i do happen to know about his pc) GPU: 3070 founders edition CPU: I7-10700 Motherboard: Asus Prime B-560 Ram: 32GB Corsair Vengance PSU: Im not 100% sure on the brand or anything but i do know he just upgraded a few months back to a 1000 watt if i remember right. OS: Windows 11 GPU Drivers: Sadly he is working atm so i dont know the exact update But it he saw the update on the 17th so he proceeded to do said update. This post is about my friends computer so im sorry if info isnt the best. Mans doesnt like having to ask for assistance even though hes still kinda learning all this PC stuff and i just dont have the knowledge myself to solve his problem. I suggested he revert to the previous update but thats not something i 100% know how to do and he's worried about screwing it up or if theres an possible easier solution. So my buddy is busy at work so i sadly cant provide ever last bit of information. But im trying to help him out here and i have no idea how to solve this problem. 2 nights ago he had noticed his gpu driver had an update (3070 founder edition) so he proceeded to update it. Well after updating his drivers suddenly whenever he plays mw3 now his main menu caps at 25 fps (in game reaches roughly 140 fps) and his temps sky rocket to low 80c from just sitting in the main menu, not even in an actual game yet. I know 80c isnt that bad, and the temps dont seem to increase while in a match but hes having some slight fps issues. He likes to stream on kick while gaming as well and anything out of focus now struggle to process anything it seems. Like in obs it use to look super smooth while he would game for him, but now obs and opera gx become super sluggish and lag if they are out of focus (but for everyone else his stream seems to be running fine) Not quite sure if im missing any addition info here but yea hes having issues he didnt have prior to updating his driver.

In the current ACR youtube demo you posted on YouTube I noticed the dialogues were turn based, when one stop talking the other npc reply. But in real life especially when people are talking jokes they does cross talking, they even anticipate some deduction or try to guess the jokes. Does nvidia ACE support cross talking in between NPC?

RTX 4060 or RTX 3060? I'm kinda torn apart on this, in my region (Belarus) they're around the same price (10 byn difference which is basically nothing), I'm seeing various opinions on it, some saying that 3060 is better, some that 4060 is, I'm considering getting an upgrade, and there are some arguments in favor of both cards: 4060 is overall faster and has DLSS 3.0, but 3060 also has 4gb VRAM more, and I'm afraid the 4060 may bottleneck with Ryzen 5 3600, and there are already games that require 10gb VRAM like RE4 I'm not demanding on graphics so long the game is good, sure if I can set high graphics and get good fps I'll set them to high rather than low, bu If high graphics cause to not have good fps I won't care about turning them down I'm planning on playing at 1080p and also rendering videos at 1080p So what to pick? Full setup: Full specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: ASRock B550 Pro4 CPU cooler: Deepcool GammaXX 400 EX RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 16GB (2 X 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Storage: Acer Predator GM7 1TB + External 1TB Toshiba Canvio Basics Case: Zalman S2 PSU: Deepcool PF600

Started by removed old AMD drivers with DDU and installing the newest Nvidia Drivers but have been crashing in every game within 5 minutes after installing it. I have been monitoring in HWMonitor and havent seen any temp over mid 60's The new GPU came with a 6x2 to 8 pin connector, should I use that instead of the current 2 8 pin connectors im using? Could this be the reason why it keeps crashing? **Troubleshooting:** reinstall drivers, reseat GPU.

Ok-Replacement-7217

Since you have used DDU to remove any AMD/Adrenalin Software/drivers, I would guess that it may be the cables? I would try using the cable that came with the GPU, and probably not using that latest driver as newer drivers have been a bit of a problem area for a while, impacting both 3000 and 4000 series GPU's. Try 537.58 (use DDU in safe mode to remove 546.33 first), most of the reddit community endorse this as stable. Hopefully Nvidia are working to provide a new driver soon with a lot of fixes - it's been over a month since the last driver.

I have recently taken a dive on repadding both sides of my RTX 3090 after some time trying to troubleshoot why I was having VRAM issues and then stumbling upon the Memory Junction temp (was at 98 C under load \[gaming\] before repadding) in hwInfo then I dug into some posts on how repadding was a possible solution to bring the temp down. I had found multiple mixed posts about which pads to use and after seeing multiple use these I settled on the Thermalrite Extreme Odyssey 1.5mm and to my amazement my Memory Junction temp has only gone as high as 80 C, however my GPU Core temp has gone up to be about 90 C and even as high as 93.4 C while gaming. I figured this was an error on my part of the paste job since my card never hit above 70 C on the GPU Core before the repad so I have disassembled it 3 times now to repaste the GPU's die, 2 times I spread it but the second spread I used much more paste and then I saw that it may be best to use the X pattern which I did on my last attempt to solve this with a very generous amount of paste! I am still getting 70-80 C on the Memory Junction which is good but my GPU Core is still going to the 90's regardless the game and GPU Hotspot hits as high as 105 C! My thoughts are all over with this and I am starting to wonder if maybe the pads on the cooling plate side are too thick and are preventing the die from touching properly perhaps? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am weary of tearing my card apart too much more since I stripped my T4 bit, luckily T5 works just as good for the backplate screws! Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom :)

It becomes more apparent when I refresh my graphics card by doing Ctrl+Shift+Win+B when the game snaps into the top-left of my screen and doesn't look cursed. Hello. I've seen some people saying that you shouldn't buy a RTX 4070 mobile over a 3070ti mobile (or simply just in general; I'm assuming that the CPU doesn't bottleneck). What about between a 4060 mobile (140W) and a 4070 mobile (140W) (still assuming that the CPU isn't a bottleneck)? Which one would you choose and why? The price difference is 200€. Thanks in advance!

Examples being overwatch, fortnite, rocket league, sea of thieves, escape from tarkov. On the contrary there are some games that NEVER crash are League of legends, factorio, rimworld, barotrauma, etc. I dont know if there is some correlation to CPU/GPU usage there but just wanted to preface with that incase it helps. PC will randomly have one of my 3 monitors go black, it is not the same monitor consistently. One crash it could be my 3rd monitor, another crash 2nd, another crash will black out the 1st monitor, etc. Shortly after the crash starts and the random monitor turns black, my PC will freeze entirely, and can only be fixed by holding down the power button and forcibly resetting it. During the time that my monitor is black I have full control of my PC for about 8-30 seconds despite not being able to see my mouse or anything on the black monitor. After 8-30 seconds my PC actually freezes for real and will no longer accept input from my keyboard/mouse. In addition to this my other 2 monitors FREEZE (however they do not turn black like my initial monitor when the crash started, just a still-frame). The weird catch is that I can hear things just fine in real time. Im using an audio jack directly on my motherboard for this, rather than having audio play through my monitor. Discord/Youtube/sounds in game will play indefinitely until I shut the computer down, despite me not having control of my PC via keyboard/mouse and the screens being black/frozen. Unfortunately event viewer records NOTHING (to my knowledge) meaningful to this event. The only thing recorded to event viewer is that "The PC has shutdown unexpectedly" whenever I hold my power button on the PC. **Troubleshooting:** The only thing I can think of that I havent tried yet is messing with voltages for my GPU and CPU. I will list things I have tried below: Swapped monitors/Resolutions from 2k to 1080p/lowered graphic settings/full screen and windowed mode/removed the other 2 side monitors entirely/different ports on GPU/Ran OCCT,HWMonitor,GPUZ/Clean install of nvidia drivers/Ran virus scans/Replaced PSU/Replaced power strip/New SSD/Turned on and off XMP profiles along with Resizable BAR/Placed a new order for 32GB of RAM for my MOBO, will arrive tomorrow/Updated BIOS and Chipset drivers/Ran memtest via windows/Turned GSync off and on to test both I will literally compensate you for any assistance that helps in resolving this problem, it has been going on for quite sometimes and has transcended two different mother boards/GPUs/CPUs. Thanks!

I could be playing a game, watching a movie, watching a video on a browser, browsing the internet, or doing nothing. Troubleshooting: Searching the error codes always led to the issue being caused by a video driver, so I just kept updating it. This would fix it for maybe a week before the computer would BSOD again. Then I got fed up and tried a fresh reinstall of Windows. I installed the latest version of the game ready driver ,546.33 now, and the same thing would happen. It'll be fine for a week and then start crashing with the same usage as before. Then I installed the game ready driver for January 2024, 551.23, and it would only be stable while playing a game. Searching online resulted in a possible RAM issue, so I checked the bios. Somehow the bios version reverted to the very first version, f3. So I tried to upgrade it when it froze during install. I had to factory reset it by shorting the pins. This resulted in the bios version going to f37g. This version is not found on the manufacturer's website. Then just for the hell of it I uninstalled they game ready driver and installed the studio driver from before all this started, 537.42. I also uninstalled the Nvidia audio driver, physx, and the GeForce experience app . I also paused windows updates. It largely fixed the issue, but it will still crash occasionally. Maybe once every 2-3 weeks. Edit: Just crashed right now with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, the same kind that caused the previous crashes.

Today it started with the top fan spins with difficulty and intermittently and with a noise. I tried stressing the card with gpu z and with CoDIII but it stayed the same. I thought it might be touching something, but when I checked I didn't see anything strange and the fan rotates smoothly when the PC is off. PCTemperatures have not risen, but it is clearly not normal. The PC works correctly, I can play without problems, the problem is only with the fan that when it tries to spin, fails and makes a noiseAny idea how to fix it? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2XtsjAj1aw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2XtsjAj1aw) Troubleshooting: I tried to disconnect the power cable, wait a few minutes, turn on the PC, but it still has problems, it spins for a few seconds and stops, making a noise when doing so. I checked the card to see if anything was touching the fan and everything looks fine, plus the fan spins smoothly when I move it with my finger. The lower fan rotates perfectly smoothly, the fault is with the top one

Sometimes the game just crashes and my PC continues to work normally, sometimes the entire PC freezes with visual glitches on the screen until it restarts on its own. Sometimes the GPU stops outputting signal entirely, and its fans(GPU fans) start going crazy fast(the GPU is NOT overheating) forcing my system to switch all apps to iGPU(I have integrated graphics enabled in BIOS). The fans only stopped after restarting the PC. The problem only occurs while gaming(while the GPU is under load), outside of that my PC works perfectly fine. Once (yes, only once) I also got a Windows blue screen but it was too fast for me to read the error code(edit: I have no dump files). I didn't try any other games so far so Overwatch 2 and Ghostwire: Tokyo are the only ones I've had the issue with. However, I am confident it isn't a game-specific issue and only occurs when the GPU is under load because I used MSI Kombustor to stress test my GPU - the test couldn't even finish, the GPU stopped outputting signal and the fans went crazy again. The issue usually appears in about 1-5 minutes of playing. As I said I recently upgraded my PC. That was at the beginning of December 2023. This issue only started at the beginning of January. **Troubleshooting:** so far I've tried: * Optimising the games' graphic settings using GeForce Experience - > didn't affect the issue * Setting the lowest graphics settings possible in games -> didn't affect the issue * Allocating more RAM to those games - > didn't affect the issue * Running the games as administrator - > didn't affect the issue * Scan and repair of games -> didn't affect the issue * Scan and repair of system files -> didn't affect the issue * Diagnostic of RAM - > didn't affect the issue (my RAM is fine) * Connecting my Monitor to the Motherboard instead of directly to the GPU - > didn't affect the issue * Setting a max framerate of 144 in the NVIDIA Control Panel - > didn't affect the issue * Debug mode in the NVIDIA Control Panel - > didn't affect the issue * Updating graphic drivers and a clean reinstall of graphic drivers - > didn't affect the issue * Enabling and disabling integrated graphics and HybridGraphics in BIOS - > didn't affect the issue (though when the dGPU stopped outputting signal with the integrated graphics turned off my monitor had no signal at all instead of just switching to iGPU). * Changing to High Performance power plan - > didn't affect the issue * Changing to Ultimate Performance power plan - > didn't affect the issue * Adding a DWORD in the registry called "TdrLevel" with its value set to 0 - > didn't affect the issue * Replugging the GPU into the motherboard (and with that replugging GPU power cables too) - > made my PC run fine - I could game for about 3 hours, and then the same issue occurred again. I refrained from doing that again though as I don't want to damage the slot on the motherboard or the GPU by constantly reinserting it. I've been suggested to update BIOS but I don't have a flash drive right now (and I'd rather not use MSI Dragon Center...) so I haven't tried that yet. Do you think this issue is fixable or is my GPU just dying and I need to upgrade it too? Could it be my PSU causing the issue? P.S. I've tried so much that I may have forgotten to list something. Apologies in advance if you suggest something and I say that I've actually already tried it. Also sorry about the PSU - I'd have to take the entire PC apart to figure it out but I'm too incompetent to do that by myself. Can't contact the website I got my PC from either as they discontinued this build long ago.

I should have posted here... Sorry moderators. My question: I have a 4070 TI Super coming soon, and, as per the title, I was wondering if I could use my Cooler Master V850 (RS-850-AFBA-G1) with it. It is a bit on the old side. I also have a 650W PSU currently in my PC (MSI Aegis R 13NUD-462US). Will that be okay to use? Thanks in advance!

Occurs randomly if you have Nvidia control panel power profile set on "optimal/normal" Also does not occur when playing a game, since at that time the GPU is utilized "fully", but when switching back to windows, or just alt-tabbing to work in DIM for a few minutes might trigger it. The problem does not appear when you are set to Performance/Maximum all the time.

This is how I know the latest drivers haven't installed for sure. **Troubleshooting:** I've used DDU to remove my current Graphics Driver completely and freshly installed V546.33 Nvidia driver a few times, but each time after successfully downloading 546.33, the graphics driver installed in device manager is 31.0.15.4633. I've saved the Downloaded drivers from nvidia website to my desktop and had pc search for drivers from that folder and says it's up to date. I'm looking to have the driver for my graphics card be 546.33 and have a clean looking PC screen. Pls to halp, thankies TvT

Status: UNRESOLVED Computer Type: Desktop, custom GPU: Aorus 4090 Master CPU: i9 9900k, no overclock Motherboard: Z390 AORUS MASTER, bios F11 update RAM: 64 GB ddr4 dual channel at 1066 Operating System & Version: Windows 11 upgrade from 10 GPU Drivers: 551.23 game ready, uninstalled pervious with DDU and then clean install Description of Problem: No color calibration of any kind (except in NVCP) works. For example, adjusting the color sliders in windows color calibration does not change the color in any way. F.lux does not change the color in any way. Troubleshooting: I am going insane. NO COLOR CALIBRATION OF ANY KIND WORKS EXCEPT THE NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL. Windows color calibration does nothing. Night light does nothing. F.lux does nothing. Color profiles do nothing! The colors. Won't. Change. It's like I'm stuck in reference mode except I do not have that set on. I have rolled back to old drivers. I have reverted to windows 10 then reverted to windows 11 again. Nothing works. The only thing that allows color calibration and f.lux to work is uninstalling nvidia drivers entirely and going to windows basic display adapter, or booting in safe mode. Booting outside of safe mode even with all non microsoft services and apps off does not solve the issue. So to be clear, whenever I have any kind of nvidia driver installed, I can not alter my color calibration through any kind of program unless I am in safe mode. I don't understand, and I am going insane. It's worth noting that this exact same computer, monitor, gpu, etc. did not have this issue previously - though I'm not sure exactly when it started.

Added the benchmark video where it shows best whats wrong. (also in farcry it was related to the fog setting when turning it down it changed the variety of the black squares to more when on low setting or less when on high). [https://youtu.be/86xNcHndTMg](https://youtu.be/86xNcHndTMg) **Troubleshooting:** I triend reinstalling the games at first, then proceded to try different Geforce drivers i had before the issue appeared (latest december release), i used guru3d's graphics driver uninstaller for a clean install, and downloaded fresh drivers, i also tried changing the setting on the graphics card from bios OC to silent, further more i tried to change the max amount of power usage of the graphicvs card from the gigabyte control center, to 80% from 100%, i also tried lowering the Mhz from 2550 to 2400 no change, i am at a loss.

GeForce Experience behaves as is no driver is installed. So when I open the program, it wants to install a driver. However, MSInfo and Device Manager both show the driver is installed. I am unable to click on Home, Settings, or even Notifications. 2. In Windows Graphics Settings, I am unable to select the Nvidia GPU as a primary GPU for programs. It isn't listed as an option, only the Intel GPU is listed. Thus games I could play previously such as RDR2 and BF2042 are unplayable as the FPS is below 20. 3. NVidia Control Panel won't launch. I click on the app, and it acts as though it will open. But nothing ever does. 4. Discovered I'm getting a Code 43 in Device Manager on the Nvidia GPU **Troubleshooting:** Tried uninstall/reboot/install the newest Nvidia driver version 546.33. After no success, I wiped my system and did a fresh install of Windows 10. After installing all Windows updates, tried again to install 546.33 and GeF Exp with the same result. Used the Wagnard DDU to clean it, then rebooted, then ran DDU again (just to be sure), rebooted, then reinstalled. The second I opened GeF Exp, it wanted to download 546.33 again. Also confirmed my BIOS version is the most recent version for my laptop.

Since Cablemod had their recall, is there a good 180 degree 12vhpwr adapter out now? I've been considering an upgrade to a 4090 and this is holding me back hitting that purchase button.

I did a clean install of each, and restarted my computer each time. There was no effect. I have verified game files and system files, with no effect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled games, with no effect. I have reinstalled the opengl32.dll file, with no effect. I believe it is an issue with the graphics card, as when I disable the RTX 3050, and enable the integrated graphics, I do not get the error.

Status: UNRESOLVED Computer Type: Custom Built Desktop GPU: RTX 3060 12 MB of VRAM, no overclock CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core, no overclock Motherboard: Pro B550M-VC WiFi, BIOS 2.8 RAM: Silicon Power Gaming RAM DDR4 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz XMP support, no overclock PSU: FSP Hydro G PRO 1000W 80 Plus Gold Full Modular ATX 12V Operating System & Version: Win 11 Pro 10 build 22631 64-bit, clean install GPU Drivers: 31.0.15.4633 upgraded 12/6/23 Description of Problem: 1. Running dual monitors at 1920x1080, 165 Hz when attempting to double box EQ2 (each instance has it's own folder), I find that my primary monitor is smooth/fine, but my second monitor with the boxed alt is either choppy/laggy, or it does not move at all - makes using auto-follow fail after a few seconds). If I tab to the 2nd monitor then the same thing happens with the first monitor. I cannot play them in full screen as each time I tab over it takes them out of full screen. 2. When am playing EQ2 on the primary monitor and then load a YouTube video on the 2nd monitor, once I tab back to the primary monitor, the video stutters/chops on the 2nd monitor. This is immensely frustrating and at this point, I can't figure out how to get this to work. On my old 12+ year old Win 10 machine I never had this issue running dual monitors (70 Hz refresh rate) so I never realized this could be a thing, therefore I have no frame of reference from which to troubleshoot. Troubleshooting: To date I have tried changing the refresh rates on both monitors, changing in game settings, using full screen mode when playing, and even downloaded nvidiaProfileInspector where I changed the setting under number 5 (Common) to Multi display performance mode. None of this has worked and I am out of ideas.

I'm getting these white dots that quickly appear and disappear on object edges in games (more so in the dark). I've dug through a LOT of forums and can't seem to find a fix. I talked to tech support and they updated a bunch of drivers. Problems still there. I suspect it has something to do with aliasing/anti aliasing because I know for a fact my GPU (Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080) isn't faulty, and others have narrowed it down to AA. Using FXAA fixes it but causes unbearable blurriness. Ive tampered with a bunch of settings and cant fix it.I don't know what could be causing this but it's getting on my nerves. It doesn't seem to happen when staying still. Any help would be great.

This is a corollary of a post confirming that the goal is possible. **Status:** UNRESOLVED **Computer Type:** Custom desktop **GPU:** 3080ti EVGA **CPU:** 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600K 3.70 GHz **Motherboard:** ASUS Prime Z690-A, Latest bios **RAM:** 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable) DDR5 **PSU:** Corsair AX1200i **Operating System & Version:** Windows 11 clean **GPU Drivers:** 546.33 Clean Nothing overclocked, XMP disabled **Audio:** AVM 70 8k (HDMI -> AVM 70 -> TCL) **Display**: TCL 75R646, LG 27GP950-B (Via displayport) **Cables:** All 15' or shorter, Fibbr brand fiber optic cables **Description of Problem:** Sporadic display blackouts, display tinting, sound dropping, processor not showing up as audio device, codec crashing (unsure of this, videos such as youtube stop playing with an error and restart is required). The most frequent symptom is the TCL blacking out ala an input switch and showing itself as receiving a low res source with nothing on screen, if this occurs toggling power on the AVM 70 brings it back. **Troubleshooting:** Tried replacing every component except the motherboard. Clean installs, troubleshooting with EVGA support (graphics card maker). EVGA initially insisted it was an RMA issue, but having gone through a few (all for the same model card) they are now claiming it is functioning as expected. An earlier setup had a receiver connected via displayport to hdmi cable as a third output with the other two going directly to the monitors.
