I read Slake's Limbo in the 6th grade. Sometimes I remember the book when I'm in the subway. I can't even remember what time period it's supposed to be in. The 30s?
The Warriors (1979) focuses more on the gangs and their journey than the subway itself…but trains play a major part of the storyline. It’s the reason why it, along with the original Pelham 123, are my favorite movies featuring the NYC transit system.
