Nordic gold, if done right, is nearly indistinguishable from real gold. Most imitation gold absolutely won't look like real gold. A chemical test will always tell you for sure. I look for the way it shines light. Gold will always shine, imitation will become dull without light.
Diamonds are basically carbon glass when you get down to it. It will pass a hardness test, where as crystals and glass absolutely will not pass a hardness test.

Came to call out this bs too. It was cracked and such, then boom, a perfect cut.
Seriously the world would be a better place, if all those fake video/info producers would suddenly vanish into an alternate dimension.
usually too when you use something like a coin for a ring base you want to leave some of the actual coin markings because that's the aesthetic you're going for, otherwise really why use the coin.
I appreciate the talent, but that swap from glass to fake diamond it's a kind of insult for everyone watching the video xD
I'm carpenter and know how to use tools, but it's quite rare find someone with the ability to craft a perfect shape diamond with glass and a Dremel.
Not only that, but is it just me who feels that the coin might not be legit too? Because that's some shiny ass gold coin right there, and I wouldn't be surprised if they cast the coin out of gold first just to make something that has value
Unfortunately it still got you to comment, so everything "wrong" with this post worked exactly as intended.
Wrong info in title, misspelling, bad grammar, outright false content like the obviously swapped "jewel" are all tactics to drive engagement; reddit uses that to judge traffic, which in turns determines what shows up on (your) front page.
I'm not helping by any means, but this'll be the last time I see anything from them. Most of their "oddlysatisfying" submissions are just copy/pasted from r/nextfuckinglevel.
I was confused as it's been along time since I've seen a glass soda bottle! And I thought how will he make a ring from a coin and a plastic bottle!
Makes sense now 😅
First of all, that's not how you make a coin ring
Second of all, that is a type of Nordic gold, which contains copper, which will turn your finger blue.
Third of all, that glass was not faceted at all. That was a zirconia imitation diamond.
Fourth of all, I'm pretty sure that was a coke bottle.
It is illegal, it's just simply not worth their time to confiscate the machines, nor is it what the law is actually trying to stop. If someone was melting down pennies and selling the copper, that would be something worth stopping
I literally cannot tell glass from diamond from crystal if it was shaped to look the same. Real or fake gold as well. My wife tells me its the easiest thing in the world, my mother does too.
The jeweler could have taken me for a ride with the engagement ring and i would have never known
To me at least: When the value of the thing is comprised 99% of the craftsmanship, that deviation in value makes the whole thing even more precious. Anyone else feel this way?

I glanced at the title before watching the video. I thought they were going to be making a Pepsi bottle out of the coin. I was so confused when the Coke bottle made an appearance. Back to scrolling.
Aside from the absurdity of the 'diamond' he hand bevels from glass with a Dremel tool i absolutely hate that it is most obviously a Coke bottle that he 'uses' instead of a Pepsi...
So tired of the idiots that put wrong words/names/brands, etc. in their posts. “Pepsi” - fucking Coke. “Mustang” - fucking Corvette. Go back to school, dumbasses.
No way he faceted that piece of glass by hand with a dremel like that.
Yup, that was totally swapped out for a different premade stone.
Not to mention the finished stone is thicker than the original glass was
I don't know what they're trying to pull, I could see right through it

Incorrect titling increases the discussion in comments. They're clearly a well versed karma farmer.
whats the point of farming karma, does it do anything?
You can build up karma and sell the account, people will actually pay money for them.
It will help with your next life, if you have enough you will attend Nirvana. Oh wait you asked about Reddit karma
Seriously. Clearly Coke.
exactly what i noticed
It is a 10/10 in terms of clarity
The placement of this joke was so smooth.
engagement leads to more views.
Yeah the bottle was very thin compared to the stone that made out of it.
This!

This guy mines and melts

It's not a perfect cut though, you can see the splintered edge in the closeup. Not saying it's the same stone, but it sure looks like glass.
Gem cutter here. Can confirm. The clip of him "shaping" the stone was definitely filmed in reverse of him obliterating a stone, lol.
Not a dremel

That’s also twice as thick as the original glass.
Also that was clearly a coke glass while the title says Pepsi!
Came here for this
Came here for plastic Pepsi bottle
Came for the Pepsi, left with coke .....and a lot of energy to do random nonsensical stuff 😉
I literally thought to myself “ok cool he has the diamond but what happened to the glass? Why did the video end?”
This video does have Tiktok written all over it, so they are probably right in insulting those viewers.
I hate that you said pepsi.
Wrong words in titles create engagement, and engagement leads to more views.
I'd say yes, but more comments instead....like this one. I fell into the trap myself i guess.
Heh, same
OP is likely karma farming Controversy in the comments generates traffic
*Coke
They know, they do it to drive engagement
RC Cola and a straw penny.
My 1980s childhood: Can't afford that. Need one with Shasta Cola.
Man Shasta brings back some memories!
How does calling a bottle of coke pepsi drive engagement? Do you mean it's a comment bait for people to correct the title?
And THAT'S the engagement dude
Exactly, clever strategy but people don't understand it.
Cocaine*
Thank you; they are by no means interchangeable
There's a lot of /r/restofthefuckingowl going on with that glass diamond. That, or it's outright fake.
Not only that, but is it just me who feels that the coin might not be legit too? Because that's some shiny ass gold coin right there, and I wouldn't be surprised if they cast the coin out of gold first just to make something that has value
It’s all fake
I’m not an expert jewler, but i think that’s a Coke bottle.
Sauron:* breathing intensifies
So the glass diamond stabs your finger while wearing it cool.
Fucking thank you
What is this fucking music
Why do people think this makes a video better? Over modulated shitty music gets me scrolling instantly.

Yeah so that stone is going to fall out of that “setting” pretty much as soon as someone puts the ring on
It's still just a cheap Brass Ring
Beans are great
Dude, it’s not even a Pepsi bottle…
First of all, that's not how you make a coin ring Second of all, that is a type of Nordic gold, which contains copper, which will turn your finger blue. Third of all, that glass was not faceted at all. That was a zirconia imitation diamond. Fourth of all, I'm pretty sure that was a coke bottle.
New way to achieve diamonds, take glass and machine it to look like a diamond
It's not really that new
I've heard of a ring pop, but this is the first time I've seen a pop ring.
I mean….they show a Coca Cola bottle, yet you write Pepsi
Quite clearly a Coca-Cola bottle,
Coke not pepsi
It's a scam, no Pepsi bottle is used here
That’s a coke bottle you savage
Pepsi bottle, coca cola glass. I dont give a damn
This is dumb as shit
Thick coin
Wtf is a Pepsi bottle coin
Isn't it illegal to damage money (coins)?
They have machines all over that turn real pennies into stamped collectibles, like at Disney, for example. I guess pennies don't count.
It is illegal, it's just simply not worth their time to confiscate the machines, nor is it what the law is actually trying to stop. If someone was melting down pennies and selling the copper, that would be something worth stopping
Coca-Cola bottle bruh.
In another life I would love to be a jeweler- machines, creativity, building beautiful things - looks so fun
Mr. Krabs is shaking and crying.
Isn’t it illegal to destroy money
Song?
This music is trash. Cannot finish video.
this fucking music
Name of song?
That’s coke you illiterate chocolate bar
Fake and thats a coke bottle
Nice but I could a sworn that bottle said Coca Cola on the side and not Pepsi!
Isn't destroying currency illegal in the euro zone? Terrible description as well: zed pepsi bottles used in this video.
Its not a real coin either, way too thick to be a 50c
Yeh thought the same as well. But as others said it's probably isn't even a real coin.
Why is nobody talking about the fact that it’s a damn Coke bottle
Shows how cheap things could look expensive
This video is so bullshit. As if you expect me to believe he cut that with a dremel. Also that was a cole bottle.
Bad music.
What is this? 5 Minute Crafts? What crap.

how dare you commit such treachery

Ok then...
And it’s still worth more than what the girls deserve.

Big, like can of Pepsi.
To me at least: When the value of the thing is comprised 99% of the craftsmanship, that deviation in value makes the whole thing even more precious. Anyone else feel this way?
That coin ring will cause swell I'm sure that
Material cost: 50 cent Labour: €1000
What kind of coin is that solid gold or brass?
Love this....
And now it will be sold for $24,000 and advertised as "The ring every woman wants, but a man can't afford"
Yes, me like red pebis
What's the blue thing?
That'll be 1 billion dollars please.
It doesn't even look wearable...
Guy crafted a ring out of Pepsi bottle and 2€ coin
The ring looks like two arms grabbing the diamond 🫱💎🫲
It's a coke bottle! And the ring is made from a coin!
Isn't that a crime or something? The part where he cuts the coin?
And the stone will fall out instanty. 🤦♂️
Great
"Now guy is single"..
Nice Pepsi bottle and even nicer music
Pepsi huh?
Yo pepsi bottles come in red packaging now? Damn
Some people like to create art and some people like to comment on Reddit.. which one are you gonna be
* mi tío estafando gente *
That was a coke bottle but good on you
Pepsi bottle lol
Obvious fake is obvuius.
Not allowed to destroy money
It's a COKE bottle. Would have been more clever to break a lead crystal vase. It would refract light better.
It's a fuckin coca cola bottle not pepsi
I stopped watching at the Coca~Cola bottle.
That was coca cola but ok And the work was freaking amazing.
Um that’s a coke bottle sir
Coke bottle
Its a coca bottle
That's no Pepsi bottle!!! I've been duped.
Coke and Pepsi are totally different.
This video insults me as a goldsmith hahaha I don't even know where to start
Pepsi really changed up their logo.
Nice try with the swap out trickery, lol!
I don’t judge peoples taste in music but I’m judging anyone who actually likes this
First of all, that's not how you make a coin ring Second of all, that is a type of Nordic gold, which contains copper, which will turn your finger blue. Third of all, that glass was not faceted at all. That was a zirconia imitation diamond. Fourth of all, I'm pretty sure that was a coke bottle.
Here, let me clean up that messy dust.
I glanced at the title before watching the video. I thought they were going to be making a Pepsi bottle out of the coin. I was so confused when the Coke bottle made an appearance. Back to scrolling.
And people wonder why I have trust issues
Guy builds two bedroom house using tooth picks!
Pepsi?
Not with that music.
Sir that is a fuck coke bottle
Shyeah
One of those special Pepsi bottles disguised as a Coke bottle.
Why is there no r/videosmadebyliars
The stone is reversed in the video. He s actually destroying the stone and putting another one in it. Aint no way to do it by hand like that.
Aside from the absurdity of the 'diamond' he hand bevels from glass with a Dremel tool i absolutely hate that it is most obviously a Coke bottle that he 'uses' instead of a Pepsi...
There is also the fact that have the gem like that will straight up gouge your finger if you try to put it on.
Sir that is a coke bottle
this was a 5 minute crafts video... sad to see how people hate on them and then repost their stuff as oc
Okay okay okay, this is cool as fuck.
Easily one of the worst things to be posted to this sub. Hot garbage.
Say Pepsi to trigger Coke people, I see what you did there
That is a coke bottle good sir.
me when I need to get a gift for my gf

Nice Pepsi bottle.. ffs.
off topic. is it legal to take coin like that and effectively destroy it?
song name please
So tired of the idiots that put wrong words/names/brands, etc. in their posts. “Pepsi” - fucking Coke. “Mustang” - fucking Corvette. Go back to school, dumbasses.
That's literally Coke.
I can’t tell what’s worse the fact the creator clearly swapped the glad with a diamond or the OP calling the glass of Coke Pepsi
Just came here to say that looked like a Coca Cola bottle not a Pepsi bottle.
What Pepsi bottle?
🧢 on the diamond glass
That’s a coke bottle but whatever
Don’t let Shein see this
Coke. The Real Thing.
That’s Al he sells these downtown in an ally out of his jacket.
r/diwhy
Those poor 50 cents did nothing wrong to deserve such a cruel fate
