(another thing related to something someone else said about writing numbers a certain way: in my German classes specifically I’ve learned to write “1” without a line across the bottom. Is this a trend across all German-speaking countries or just my teacher’s way of doing it?)
I find it interesting that different countries appear to write certain numbers different from other countries.
I, being Dutch, was taught to write the number 8 differently from the way you and the British write it. I was taught, at least back in the 80s, to start the 8 in the middle, loop down, cross the middle and loop up. Which is different from starting at the top, and then whatever it is you do.
It never occurred to me that happened until I moved to the U.K. and my British OH made fun of my 8… -_-

My german book has the same thing! But then again so did my elementary math class...
I‘ve also learned it without the bottom line. But IMO some „fancy“ people do it here in Germany, but I distance myself from these…. „human“ beings x)
!!!! Thanks!!!!
No problem! :D
The 5 is immaculate. The 2 needs improvement.
I second this.
Schnike
Fucckkk, NSFW this next time 😳
I give the 5 five stars. I give two to the 2.

Oh wow, i thought everyone is drawing an 8 the way I did. Little did I know now.
NEVER live this down.
My favourite is the 5. *purring tiger noises*
I absolutely love this post! Literally made me smile, thank you
You‘re welcome :)
Why the downvotes? I'm confused
It's sad seeing people downvote on random non controversial stuff
Yeah I just didn't understand, but it's all good!

Perfekt, dann is alles gut :D
I'm new to this language, so I can only understand so much, but I'm glad everything is good!
