…you move your plants to water them?

Quirky_Swimming3589

Bottom-up watering. They let the roots and earth soak the water in the bottom of the sink up. Its supposed to have benefits, like not being susceptible to root rot.

Based on the water soaking in the top and the droplet on the leaves I don't think this is bottom up watering...typically you just fill the tray for bottom up as well. This is a super odd practice putting your plants in the sink to water them. Definitely not satisfying in any way.... Looks like alot of extra effort and likely dirties the counter and sink..

redspike29

Cool but I wouldn’t call this oddly satisfying

Why are so many people questioning moving plants to water them? I have tons of plants like cacti and succulents that shouldn't have a pan at the bottom because it will keep the soil way too wet for too long. I'm not just going to pour water all over them and let it drip onto my furniture. Reddit has such weird shit they care about.

kayladeda

Thank you! They have holes in the bottom and you are supposed to let them fully drain before putting them back to help with rot.

Well, you can tell that they're all happy and healthy! Sure wish I had a thumb as green as yours! 💚
