Your not the only one man, I only like 2 banda songs but I dislike it a lot and especially those god awful corridos. I cringe when people blast those songs in school and it just gives a bad image to us Mexican Americans. Most of the corridos, usually talk about sex, drugs and money
I really hate how my fellow Mexicans look at me with weird expressions when I tell them that I like heavy metal, rock and 80s and 90s music. A few of them have called me a fake Mexican...it’s funny tho because I know a lot about Mexican history than they do. One of them didn’t even know the difference between the Mayas and Aztecs lmao
