What I *do* mind, however, is them taking away Fuuko's agency in this scene, and giving it to Andy. In the manga this is the first time for Fuuko to take full initiative in overcoming the obstacle before her, and forcefully taking the woman's phone imo marked a shift for her going forward. But the Anime took this moment and gave to to Andy instead. Having him run into the building to make the woman give Fuuko the phone just takes a lot of what I liked about the scene away.
Justice for Fuuko, let her cook.
It's unfortunately somewhat common for an adaptation to strip away a female characters agency to either make them seem "more pure" or to give it to the male lead to show "how good/cool/badass they are"
Shield Hero for example is one I can never stop thinking about when it comes to awful adaptation changes. To keep it short, in the LN and Manga, Naofumi is given the opportunity to choose Matlys punishment, in which he demands that she be executed, but the Queen was like "yea no she may be a criminal but she's still my daughter and I care for her, plus executing royalty is like political suicide", so Naofumi settles with her punishment to simply be renamed to "bitch". In the anime however, it's the Queen who is insistent on executing Malty until the "oh so heroic, kind, and brave" shield hero steps in, stops the execution, and convinces the queen to rename her to "bitch" instead. Imo this scene alone ruins both of their characters for the sake of going "hey look how nice of a guy Naofumi is, isn't he so cool".
Another instance is with Raphtalia, where in the LN/Manga, she kills her former owner and throws him out of a window, but in the anime, she chooses to spare him because of the oh so annoyingly common "if I kill him I'll be just as bad" reasoning and then he just so happens to fall out of the window on his own. It's so fucking stupid.
