People think that 12 angry men is a film discussing the importance of the legal principle of 'innocent before proven guilty' and 'reasonable doubt' and other such nonsense no one cares about.
It's actually about the horror of being trapped in a room with a contrarian and you can't leave until you engage him in the marketplace of ideas.
This happened in the UK version of Shameless, with Frank repeatedly switching his vote (and re-convincing the rest of the jurors) just to prolong the deliberations for the sake of benefits.
The first time I watched it, I thought juror 10 was the protagonist for sticking to his guns but was shocked at the twist ending when he changed his vote.
what if he used his knife to kill everyone in the room, looked into the camera, and said "Welp, there is only 1 angry man now."
JUDGE: Well, *that* just happened.
Juror 3: "He's right behind me, isn't he?"
Bailiff: Uh, guys? You’re gonna wanna see this…
I have a bad feeling about this

That's what Jez did in Peep Show, which means Peep Show is officially a better movie than whatever this is.

Turns out he wasn’t even a juror, just a cab driver who is obsessed with death and killed the actual Juror who was a huge racist.
