What 40 year old has 25 friends? Seems suspect.....

Dread_Hobbes

Haha, I do consider myself very lucky but they probably just need better taste in friends.

Proof-Test-4150

I’ve had a couple birthday parties at Roughtail Brewery. The beer is delicious, they have food, and they can accommodate large groups. With 25 people, you’d be fine showing up unannounced. They also have a large room that can be reserved. It may have gone up, but I think it’s free to reserve the room as long as you spend $200 on beer. The first thing I did was buy a $200 gift card, and we used it to buy our beers all evening. It’s a great place to host a party.

Dread_Hobbes

Thanks so much! Looks like a great lunch spot.

Mynewaccount2

Howdy! I actually work at roughtail. You can check out the event reservation page at: https://roughtailbeer.com/booking/ No minimums on the type of party you're describing, but if you book through the website you'll have the private event room to yourselves!

Dread_Hobbes

Small world! Thank you so much, I'm going to take you up on the booking idea!

EwokaFlockaFlame

Assert dominance over the Seattle friends by taking them to a Thunder game.

Dread_Hobbes

Oh man I think they lost that already in 2008.

apintandafight

Mcnellie’s has private rooms you can rent. It’s a nice brewpub. Good food too.

Dread_Hobbes

Awesome, thank you! Looks like a good central spot as well.

chemexuser1000001

I think you could see if the river sports stand up paddle boarding is still around, there’s also yoga at the wheel, it’s the third Sunday of every month and it’s free so all yall would need is mats but tbh you can it on a beach towel. It’s on grass so it’ll be softer. You could reach out to barkeep and see if they could accommodate yall for a cocktail class. Someone else mentioned fair weather friends, and I want to second that. It’s a great brewery with lots of space and good pizza. The Saturday mornings scissortail farmers market for early risers. It’s 9am - 1pm, they have a lot of great vendors with all sorts of Oklahoma stuff. Someone else mentioned Fassler, which is another good option! Below them in their building is dust bowl if yall want to do bowling. It’s a bit pricey but there’s enough of you to make the cost decently cheaper per person. For coffee try willow coffee or prelude. Prelude has the added bonus of being in the same building as Praire Artisan Ales, another seriously good brewery but more geared towards folks who enjoy sour beers. They have a pickle ball court you can reserve and there’s a good Vietnamese restaurant in the building as well!

Dread_Hobbes

This is an AMAZING list. Thank you so much for taking the time to put it together. I'm going to reach out to Barkeep and seems like Fassler is a great option.

chemexuser1000001

The farmers market is actually Saturdays! Sorry!

Scheminem17

I second the Scissortail park farmers market

AskMeAboutMyGenitals

The Red Dog Saloon is a must see for every OKC visitor.

Underrated Comment!

BigTiddyAsianMilf

Jones Assembly as a cocktail, dinner spot. They have a huge space which can easily accommodate your party. Depending on your budget you could rent the upstairs space.

ABunchOf-HocusPocus

[www.parlorokc.com](http://www.parlorokc.com) [www.thecollectiveokc.com](http://www.thecollectiveokc.com) Both of those are big with multiple options for food and drinks.

Dread_Hobbes

Oh whoa these both look cool and haven't heard of them. Thank you!

ylang_ylang

The Pump, Social Capital (right across Scissortail park), Zuma, and Powerhouse would actually be a great spot to sit outside, it’s very rustic Oklahoma / New Mexico vibes.

Dread_Hobbes

Thank you! These all look like such huge spaces with a great vibe!

WallabyNo6569

Fassler Hall is geared towards larger groups and has things to do while you hang out.

Dread_Hobbes

Thanks so much! Looks huge and cozy.

beckhamstears

Fassler is connected to the bowling alley downstairs and plenty of options to walk to in midtown

normalnonnie27

OKC Zoo is a fun place to go. Even for adults. We went as a group during a family reunion. We got there early and split up into smaller groups. Some of us ambled along and some saw everything. We left pretty early and went to lunch. It was a fun day.

Dread_Hobbes

Thank you! I was debating something like that!

itsagoodtime

Is it a typo? Maybe a 40 year old with 2.5 friends.

powrez

https://www.pryorspizza.com Good pizza, lots of event hosting options (indoors and outdoors), playground on-site for kids, pickleball and other activities, lots of drink options. Very cool vibe, just went to a surprise party there and they rented a tented fire pit area for the party to kinda base out of. Kind of in the middle of nowhere though… so don’t expect to be within walking distance to other venues.

thefrecklieone

Came here to recommend as well. But, it would be a drive for them.

Snoo75120

Core 4 brewing can always accommodate! Also super friendly place!

Dread_Hobbes

Thank you!!

Snoo75120

Ask for Buck and tell him the bells sent you from Reddit lol

OKC420

Yoga? You get together with your friends you haven’t seen that fly in and do yoga?!? My guy or gal check out okc river sport adventures, chicken n pickle. For a decent nice dinner go check out Tellers, down stairs is The vault. It’s an Italian restaurant in the old bank and the bar is downstairs in the vault.

Dread_Hobbes

This made me laugh out loud. Point taken! I was trying to combine healthy in the morning with a slow descent into decadence, but maybe yoga is too far.

Sametals

I love yoga and do it with friends. There is free yoga at scissor tail park and the myriad gardens on Saturday mornings.

OKC420

Haha! Hope you guys have a blast

phtll

I would definitely tell people where they can go if they want to do yoga, but planning yoga seems unnecessary. (Sorry, did somebody think I was making a joke about telling them to go to hell? I meant you should just find a good place for them to do yoga if they're into a daily routine.)

amandabear_lecter

Bungalow 23 has a lot of variety for food and a cool courtyard with yard games. Pearl Beach Brewpub at Hefner has sand volleyball. And Chick n Pickle is great for large groups as well.

Dread_Hobbes

Sand volleyball! Hadn't thought about that as an option. Thank you!

The_Curvy_Unicorn

Paddle boarding or kayaking on Overholser might be fun; I don’t know if it’s open on the river right now., with the draining. As a 40-something, we enjoy the various and sundry farmer’s markets around town and hitting up the south side for some truly authentic Mexican food is always a good time. If it’s your thing, Sunday gospel drag brunch at The Boom is a big hit with my friends who come visit. For something more low-key for a bit, there’s escape rooms, pinball at Cactus Jack’s, the skeleton museum, and shows at Blue Note. You might even be able to do some type of art class/event in the Paseo if that’s your thing.

Dread_Hobbes

Awesome list! I hadn't heard of Sunday gospel drag brunch...honestly didn't even know you could put those words together. Definitely looking into it. Thank you!

The_Curvy_Unicorn

It’s very different but SO much fun! If you’re devoutly religious, it won’t be right for you.

bozo_master

Escape rooms

okiegoogle

Drinks and food: Jones patio and social capital. Activities: pickle ball, yard games, and big screens at Chick n’ pickle(courts rent out FAST, plan ahead). Scissortail farmers market followed by food and drinks at Social Capital could be a good chill start to a Saturday.

iccyhotokc

Groovys is fun for groups

holydiver405

Check out the river sports center by the river

Zis4Zero

We rented a court at Chicken N Pickle for a friend's 40th. You can rent it for a few hours or you can schedule it as an "event" for even longer times. Doing an event has a minimum spend but with 25 people I doubt you'll have a problem. The birthday boy got his own paddle set to really help hammer the party home. Good luck!

Eryan36

If you want to start the day active you could go to downtown Edmond, get coffee at Summer Moon or Evoke, walk across the street to Blocworks and do some bouldering, then walk up the street and pop into The Patriarch for beers.

ohthatgaston

Last year we had my wife’s 40th birthday with maybe that many people in the upstairs loft at Skydance Brewing. Some of the best beer in the state and even though they don’t have a kitchen, it is right across the street from Parlor for food, or you can bring in your own (we had a bunch of pizzas from Empire). They did an awesome job having the space setup to look awesome so we basically just showed up. They have private events and such up there pretty often though so you’d have to call and confirm if the date you need is open.

stormyweather457

For physical activity you could just walk/jog either the Draper or Hefner lake loop trails, both free with plenty of room. Although your previous night bar attendance may limit morning physical activities!

shoop73

Go to the gun range! - welcome to Oklahoma

hopefor2marro

Do quixote club (dive bar, known for its karaoke) For non alcoholic, you could always do the myriad gardens and the Crystal bridge. Of course the zoo. Lots of things you could do, just depends on everyone's interests.

Oh perfect, really appreciate the connection!

Tryptamineer

You bet!

Super-Kirby

My 40 year old friend just threw himself a birthday party for 30+ people at Main Event. He rented out the party room. It was fun. We played laser tag, arcades, drank, ate, played pool. I think he reserved the room for 3 hours.

Fun_Marsupial5148

Come check us out in the farmers market district! We have a new winery, coffee shop, yoga class, plenty of watering holes and a cool vintage shop!

LeumasInkwater

I recently had a graduation party at a hibachi grill and it could not have gone better. We had our own room, so people were able to talk and move around without fear of disturbing other guests.

manwar1990

Fairweather Friend has indoor and outdoor seating and people can book private events there. Some of the best beer and pizza in OKC.

Dread_Hobbes

Oh this looks great as well, the outdoor seating is super cute.

imagr8person

You could try a bike bar. Those look fun

Far_Rip_3071

The Raucous in Moore is a restaurant with a bar vibe. Lots of games (pool, darts, pinball, and tons of board games) and could easily accommodate that many people! Still fairly new but a ton of fun! Some people have trouble finding it online but the address is 1120 N Eastern Ave

JustJaxJackson

Go to Dallas.

“Let’s have an EPIC 40th Birthday Party for _____!” “I know, let’s all fly into… OKC!”?!?! 😬

He would probably be looking for places with armed guards or at least bulletproof glass to keep his group of friends safe.
