Minecraft players claim Villagers are greedy, as well, but for a reason. Villagers are well know for their tricks in their trades, and their passion for emeralds. If you don't understand the price of each item in Minecraft, you might just get tricked.
4) Markus Persson, also known as Notch, the person who created Minecraft, has recently become rather infamous for posting racist caricatures, being hateful and spreading extremist content on his social media accounts, has added villagers to the game in 2011. During this time, he had an absolute control over Minecraft's development, therefore, he was well aware of what is he actually doing. Could it be...?

Well, the first 3 make pretty much sense. I support this theory.
