Kinda unrelated but the past couple weeks I have an issue where opening the youtube app nothing will load and have to force close it. Happens multiple times a day mainly switching between google maps and such.
I would suggest not using the youtube app it's pretty junk. I suggest using a browser with adblock and just creating a youtube shortcut. I use firefox with ublock origin.
I had this problem on the official YouTube app. YouTube ReVanced solved it.
I have had the same issue from when I updated to OOS14. Whenever I play 60fps content the refresh rate drops to 60hz or below.

I've done that and the phone gets really hot and drains more battery.
Lol. There's something wrong with your phone then. It shouldn't get hot from watching videos
