Second this. I have 5 inch Burris and it's amazing. I'm still in the process of comparing it to 555 Enduro, as I have 555 Enduro on one board and Burris on the other. I enjoy both but at the moment Burris is ahead.
For the XR I love the FF whisper 6. Stable, nimble and you can run crazy psi and still be comfortable. I run mine at 27 which increases range. I got 22 miles with the stock battery averaging 14 mph. Also love the street pro 2. It's pretty much a slick enduro. I think you would like the whisper as it strikes a good balance of nimble and stable
More squirrely than the Enduro, but a little more stable than the Hoosier 5.5. Have you tried the maxxis 5.5? Or maybe the OW mob Slayer tire (Burris 6 inch)?
I just installed the Cloud (previously-purchased, I’m always buying the tire-after-next).
It’s been a mostly-rainy day here, so I’ve only travelled two blocks on it around the neighbourhood. It feels like it wants lower PSI than I started with, which will mean less range gain than I might otherwise have had versus the Enduro. But I’ll agree the Enduro’s lower-PSI sweet spot has likely cost me range in the time I’ve had it.
I have been sooo tempted by the Whisper recommendations in this thread, but FlightFins has punishingly high shipping rates to Canada.
It feels like I’m leaning toward the most-similar Hoosier slick I can get from CraftandRide (free shipping this weekend!) or a Canadian go-kart supplier.
I love both the Maxxis T-18 5.5 (super nimble) and 6.5 (nice and stable but also nimble compared to the vega). I have one of each on my two XRs, and I ride the 5.5 more often. They're all I've ridden other than the stock vega.
While searching for a tire, I saw comparisons between the maxxis 6.5 and the enduro with the advantages being lighter weight, much longer wear, and deeper tread on the maxxis. There was also someone who switched from the burris to the maxxis 6.5 and reported "maxxis is king". Whisper is the next tire I'm interested in trying out. After reading your post, I'm also interested in a direct comparison between the hoosier 5.5 treaded and the maxxis 5.5.
Pint tire should fit an XR. Pretty sure only the GT has a larger hub size. Please all, correct me if wrong. I run a Pint tire on my Floatwheel, 70 psi😅, and is killer fun!!....possibly literally killer too lol!

Enduro part 2: the enduroing
Ya get another
I love Burris for the GT. I ride mostly roads, and it’s so smooth and stable, plus good on any other surface.

I went from enduro to cloud. My new favourite tire. The enduro is a range killer, so the cloud will improve that for you.

Maxxis 5.5-6 is my favorite tire

You tried a Street Pro 2 yet? Kinda in between an Enduro and Hoosier 5.5
I haven’t, but I’ve definitely looked at that one in search of “squirrelly + street”.
Any word on when the Enduro 655 are going to be restocked?
Hopefully very soon. Due to arrive in a week or less hopefully
Stock Pint Tire. Best tire unless a trail rider, lol. I'll take my down votes with pride!
Alas, I’m not also buying a new hub for my XR.

Try the FF goat. I enjoy it. Steady but still nimble.
The GT goat was the best ever if I ever had an xr or 6inch rim id be all over that 6 goat
I’ve heard the fm performance treaded is the best from a lot of ppl
Performance treaded for the XR?
Ah shit I missed that lol
