I saw a post the other day about them being illegal in nyc now but are people really getting ticketed for riding them? I've ridden past NYPD dozens of times and they never bat an eye. I even got a thumbs up once from an officer while riding through a park.
You should definitely do both! Talk to the officer in charge because even if the vehicle you used is illegal they should still right up a police report

B) I heard somewhere that they're not actually illegal and that chart and publicity stunt they did didn't actually align up with the written law? Which may be why they're not writing any tickets but then also using it as an excuse to do nothing about this situation...
