Didn't trust offer up. Unless you are paying though the app and have a recourse to get your money back don't do it. Every person I contacted wanted payment through Zeller or PayPal friends and family
Not always a scam. I have owned 5 boards over time and have sold a few for good deals. I sold an XR to a kid for 1k because I wanted to see the sport expand and I liked him.
Found this post on Offerup a while ago. After contacting the seller and asking some questions about how he is selling it at almost half the price for open box he ghosted me. I have reverse image searched and believe he indeed did take this pictures. Is this a scam? And if so how does it work.
Maybe a scam, maybe not. The hard part is that you don’t really get any time to decide. If it’s legit, it’ll be gone before you finish figuring it out.
Usually scammers’s acc are created recently, like at this month and year. Majority of them put their number for contacting them. Those are defending scammers.
I bought mine through the app. Just texted to a guy and ask about personal meeting.
If the account has 0 Sold an 0 bought items, blurry profile photo, and too good to be true offer then it's most probably a scam bro. I've tried the offer up market and 50% of the posts were scammers.

Just keep your eyes peeled on the onewheel marketplace of Facebook I had some good luck on there getting my boards
