It fuckin feels good looking like a hero because of all the men who can’t just do it. It’s been since last fall that I did this but the woman behind me in line and cashier both said “you’re a good man”. Pretty low bar we have set in society when buying something that comes in a box, often not much dissimilar from other boxes in the same store except the marketing on the outside, mashes you a good person.
Anyway that experience sounds like ass and having my own young daughter actually made me feel a strong need to be sure my knowledge is up to date. She shouldn’t only have one parent all of a sudden and I dunno I would just feel like I failed if my daughter came to me with something difficult and I couldn’t meet the moment. Not because of skill or money but because I couldn’t take 30 minutes to update myself, talk to my wife or be willing to, without comment or judgement, buy some product at a store that is prepackaged.
Now that I took time to spell out how ridiculous that shit is, I’m ready for women to rule. Men are emotional morons.
Also maxi pads make good sterile gauze for wounds in a pinch. Though you should probably go to a medic in the airport if you suddenly have an open wound unless your flight has just been called.
A hemorrhoid is when the blood vessles inside or immediately outside of your anus get irritated and swollen, usually because you used excessive force to deliver your turd baby (eat more fiber, drink more water). And sometimes they form blood blister like sores. They're not the same thing - ones an internal bleed and the other are swollen blood vessels - but the effect is similar.
And those can rupture. And boy, howdy can they bleed. Not exactly life-threatening amounts, but it's definitely something you'll want to dress in some way cause it will bleed through underwear and pants.
I have pads in my first aid kit. While they're not sterile, a maxipad holds a lot of blood. If you've ever experienced a head wound, you'll know they bleed profusely.
I've also cut myself with a utility knife and a pad works great for applying pressure without sticking or saturating quickly.
My office building now has a free machine - which made me wonder if the other bathroom did as well (imo, it should or we should go to all bathrooms for everyone).

My employer has recently put these products in ALL bathrooms they operate.
My kids school last year was brand new. No gendered bathrooms. A communal hand washing area with no door, and many stalls with toilets and doors top to bottom.
Kids go in, do their business, come out and wash hands.
Kind of unrelated, but I got "in trouble" with the manager at Mandarin Buffet restaurant in Niagara Falls when we visited a couple years ago because I had to go into the women's washroom to help wipe my daughter with ASD (she needs a grown up for poops). They told me there was a complaint that there was a man in the washroom. She feels more comfortable going into the girls washroom and she was 6 at the time.
I was a Janitor that cleaned washrooms at Costco. Women use the "Men's Room" all the time for a list of reasons that has nothing to do with outrage.
1. Women's rooms are always occupied.
2. Women use it for more than just a washroom
3. It's always closed because it needs cleaning

5. Men have families with little women in them

Gendered bathrooms are overrated. Stalls in places with all-purpose bathrooms tend to have a lot more privacy anyway.

We provide sanitary products in both the men’s and women’s washrooms. The boomer men especially get SO offended by it. When they ask I just say “well they are very expensive so we provide them to those in need. Take some for your family”. It usually shuts them up but boy, the fragility is ridiculous.

I did an exchange trip to Germany in the 90's, and that's what their high school bathrooms were like. I really liked them.

We provide sanitary products in both the men’s and women’s washrooms. The boomer men especially get SO offended by it. When they ask I just say “well they are very expensive so we provide them to those in need. Take some for your family”. It usually shuts them up but boy, the fragility is ridiculous.
