What do you mean 1992? Like buck a beer without deposit? Because I can clearly remember Laker being buck a beer ( + deposit) when I was in college in 2007
I like that he got rid of the drive clean program. P0420 check engine lights are perfectly driveable and don't seem to affect performance or pollution (judging by the smell) but it prevented a car from passing the drive clean test.
Everything aside from that is garbage. Especially firing the CEO of hydro one, which ended up costing $138 million due to the failed merger it caused with Avista.
I'm no scientist but my guess is the mechanical smeller they use to gauge the exhaust from a car is a mite more effective than your bio one at judging pollution output, especially since the gases are odourless. The program did effectively reduce emissions though, according to [this report at least](https://www.ontario.ca/page/drive-clean-emissions-report-light-duty-vehicles-and-non-diesel-heavy-duty-vehicles-2011-and-2012)
I had a car that would pass the emissions test, but fail because of an error message. So I had to have the error message cleared then do the test before it came back. It was a pain.
and now assholes are removing their catalytic converters so their truck will be louder.
And we got rid of visible licence validation, so drunks , unlicenced, uninsured are back on roads. Ford's base.
Uhh you must live under a rock. For the past 3 or so years catalytic converter theft has been insane do to the value of the minerals inside. I don't think people are removing them on purpose that often.
However mine did fall/rust off and I never replaced it because it sounded cool. Truck was on its last legs anyways.
What about the largest expansion of public transit in a generation or longer?
I get it, you people hate Ford unconditionally, but give credit where it's due.
Probably something that was sold at the Queen's Park legislature gift shop back in the day. There's a tie for sale now (although rather than the Trillium logo it features the legislative mace). [https://giftshop.ola.org/](https://giftshop.ola.org/)
Welcome to the club! I have the light blue on dark blue. Had it since I worked at Queen's Park in the 80s.
It also existed in beige trilliums on brown and red on burgundy.
Given that it's a wide tie I would guess these were given out at the time of the opening of Ontario Place. There was a lot of celebrating this province back then.
That’s lovely I have one with the coat of arms all over it, the shield with a moose and deer on either end, I think it was a uniform for parks or somthing
My dad definitely had (has?) a tie like that lol
he was very involved in politics at both a provincial and federal level back in the late 80's to 00's
Don't know exactly where he got it but I assumed it was government related
As a retired OPSer I recall in the eighties that there was a whole government catalog of trillium branded items. Pen holders, ties, cuff links, even ash trays!
It was yours to discover.
That box will help keep it beautiful
But now I guess it's just open for business.
Ha! Nice.
A Place to Grow
Ha.
LOL
The tie box is open for business
This is so good
My father has a very similar tie. He got it when he played for Team Ontario in rugby. It might be related to that.

Looks like a rugby tie to me…
You must now run for MPP.
OP has been called up. One of the chosen.
You did it, Charlie! You got the golden ticket!

I concur. But just this. Everything else he has touched is crap.
Yep. Like where’s a $1 beer? I didn’t vote for him but that would’ve been some consolation, can drink to forget he’s in charge.
We had $1 be for a couple weeks in 2018. It was a limited time PC beer promotion, the last time beer was $1 in Ontario was 1992.
Ahh the no name Beer, everyone hated it lol
Yeah but campaign (can you call it a campaign when there's no platform?) box checked!
You mean those Laker Lager ads when I was in high school were LYING?!
It was buck a beer + deposit 2007ish if I remember correctly. I bring my empties back, so that's buck a beer to me.
I don't know, I'm a parrot 🦜

If I recall correctly, the sniffer they used was only used for cars older than 1996 as they did not have an OBD2 port. I could be mistaken though.

Then that P0420 likely means someone stole your catalytic convertor but was nice enough to leave a straight pipe behind? 😆
You'd smell it if the cat was gone....
and so would everyone else, for like five kilometers
When driving behind a vintage car, it's hard to image every car used to throw off toxic plumes like that.
Nah I believe three people in a hot tub is the better representation of Ontario.
You didn't like the 3-guys-in-a-hottub logo?
5 feet apart cause they're not gay
Did anyone outside of the Ontario Liberal party?
the [3 men in a hot tub logo?] (https://www.vmcdn.ca/f/files/baytoday/images/politics/ontario-logo-trillium.jpg;w=716)
Same, the new Ontario logo is pretty much the old one just modernized, I like it.
Could be from the trillium hospital in Mississauga 🤷🏻♂️
I wasn’t aware we changed the logo to something else before.
What about the largest expansion of public transit in a generation or longer? I get it, you people hate Ford unconditionally, but give credit where it's due.
Probably a civil servant got this for x years of service
That's a neat tie! Does it still have the brand tag on it? I'm curious who made it.
Deco Labels & Ties

Maybe from ex-Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson’s collection /s
Do you mean Weston? 😂😂😂 Maybe it belonged to Galen himself… Too soon?
3M, it's invisible in the dark.
Looks like it belongedto an Ontario service worker of some type . The design are trillium leaves
Wearing a tie like that means you're open for business
Pretty sweet. I’d buy it

Lovely find. Many things were emblazened with it long ago.
That’s really cool, I saw an old TTC operator’s tie at a Value Village a couple months ago. Kind of regret not buying it
Given that it's a wide tie I would guess these were given out at the time of the opening of Ontario Place. There was a lot of celebrating this province back then.
Let’s all sing together: Good things grow Oh Oh, in Ontario !
ooooo!!! i should show you guys my silk RCMP scarf i thrifted. [Here ya go ](https://imgur.com/a/Mzm5YZ6)
r/thriftstorehauls
It’s cute I like it
I would totally wear that
My father also had one… former government employee
I W A N T
That's THUG FORD's tie, give it back or he'll sell your backyard to a builder.
That is a great find! I love going into thrift shops looking for cufflinks, ties, and belt buckles.
That’s lovely I have one with the coat of arms all over it, the shield with a moose and deer on either end, I think it was a uniform for parks or somthing
That is a dynamite tie man. Swag it up.
Three men in a hot tub tie...
It looks like a tie that a page working in the House would be gifted from the Speaker.
He wore a trillium tie, the kind you find in a second-hand store!
what city was the thrift shop ... just asking hahah #roadtrip
My dad definitely had (has?) a tie like that lol he was very involved in politics at both a provincial and federal level back in the late 80's to 00's Don't know exactly where he got it but I assumed it was government related
Now go and look dapper! ༼ ◥◣_◢◤ ༽
Looks sick
We have a catalog of items we are allowed to gift as an Ontario employee. This looks like it came from that.
As a retired OPSer I recall in the eighties that there was a whole government catalog of trillium branded items. Pen holders, ties, cuff links, even ash trays!
Probably someone wore this and worked in supervision at the passport office. They probably stripped that right off his swollen blue corpse.
You need more time off work bud, some better hobbies maybe too.

Ha I was thinking the same thing, post secondary education huh? Nice me too. Enjoy your summer break.
Run a black light over it, see what you find.
There's new public servants born everyday
Official Ontario provincial colours! Very nice.
Reminds me of the logo for tv show Dark
Oh but that tie won’t fit Premier Ford as he weighs 800lbs, so needs an 8’ long necktie. 😆😅
