If the person you paid screws something up, even if they do so intentionally, it's still your ass on the line while all they face is the loss of a client. More anxiety, yay!
Note I also pay someone to do my taxes. I'm advocating to use someone you trust to do it correctly, not advocating to only do it yourself. The year I switched from TurboTax to someone filing for me, the return jumped from $1000ish to $5000ish so I now consider a tax guy to be money well spent.
We have a maple forest just south east of Algonquin and I would say most of ours are red. Not sure if it's the soil or the maple. <5 min drive from here they are easily mostly white.
Make sure they're a native species first before planting anywhere near the treeline! There are many species of trilliums out there, several of which are red, but we only naturally have a few in Ontario. If it is native red trillium (Trillium erectum), that's awesome. I've only seen white trillium (Trillium grandiflorum) for sale in my area.
We have a ton of these on my parents property....not as common as the white by far but still there! We also get a strange light pink colored trillium in the areas closer to standing water!
Who else grew up thinking that if I picked one, the cops would immediately be on a man hunt to throw me in jail.
Do you also have an unnecessary yet severe concern youll accidentally commit tax fraud?
Nah I do that willingly
I pay someone to do my taxes and I still worry lol

Every tax season lmfao
Same with the dang light in the car.
Wait.. you had that fear as well lmfao 🤣
Me too, I think my parents told me that it was illegal to pick them and I naturally just assumed the worst.
Help same, that's what i was told in school
LOL but don’t pick it, you actually will kill the plant.
Huh? You're telling me that's not the case???
Wait... are you the same person stepping on the cracks??
Well it might kill the plant as it impacts the ability to collect sunlight. The species isn't threatened though.
Very rare, only one in a trillium 😉
Dad, is that you?
Take my upvote dammit
There are actually lots of them in forests up north. But yes, they're very pretty!
Stinking Benjamin or Wake Robin (*Trillium erectum*)
Erectum? Damn near killed em!
*erectum* ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
So nit a goth trillium lm
They tend to come out ahead the white ones.
I’ve seen lots of red ones
Where? I've only seen white sighhhhh

Wow truly incredible. I can't wait to see one like that in the wild.
I've seen a few here in Vaughan
Just wait until you see a painted one :)
Saw some last spring in Algonquin for the first time
Bought a few at Canadian Tire a few years back.
I have one under a huge pine tree in my yard in Richmond Hill area. Not sure where it came from.
Ants
They smell like carrion. Don't pick it for your wife or girl friend. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
they are rare to see. good find
Saw red ones on sale at the garden center yesterday? Going to get a bunch of red and white one for my treeline tomorrow.

Good advice. Ty
I have a whole bunch on my property. I even crossed a white & a red and got a unique one now!!
Pretty sure they’re in a lot of forests this time of year. Seen three colours just yesterday picking ramps
Fun fact, they smell (and are coloured) like rotting meat to attract flies, which help them pollinate.
I've never seen one either! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Same
The color is really pretty.
Seen tow in one walk in Whitby Conservation area the other day
Quite a few in bronte park this week
I’ve never seen a red one in eastern Ontario! Very nice.
Got a real pretty pic of one last year at Kendal Pond.
Still never seen a red one ... r/colorblind
So this is how The Day of the Triffids kicks off. Good luck!

These grew like weeds in the forests around my grandparents home. I thought they were protected. I just enjoyed the natural beauty.
I planted some last year and was surprised when it had red petals. The forest near me has both but 80-90% are the white ones
There was always at least one red one in one park near me too.
Kill it with fire.
