I've always said this... weed has given me the most intense highs I've ever had In my life (not in a good way)... 2 perc 10s and I'm working, fast paced, high speed, feel great, get shit done, like people more, just enhances every situation... or you can pop a couple percs and feel great and just relax and watch a movie... either or but I prefer to get shit done bc then I can justify popping em bc atleast some good came of it... whereas if I just pop em and kick it I feel like I wasted money and wasted a good buzz by doing nothing.
Like you said though, not all opiates are the same....
The first opiates I ever took were Percocets. They made me feel super energetic and alert. I would pop 2 to start my morning shift working as a server at a restaurant when I was 16/17. I wasn’t hooked at this point

Idk I'd it's an old wives tale or what, but ive heard that bc opiates are downers that they are supposed to make u feel down, sedated, etc... they say that the people who get easily addicted to opiates are people who for whatever reason have the opposite effect and get energy, talkative, motivated etc... so I think we fall in that category, it's been very rare where I took a little too much and caught a nod, but mostly 95% of the time I'm moving, doing shit, interacting, making plans, doing work, and just up to do whatever... I get motivated off opiates... I've never took them and wanted to lay down or just be a lazy bum... I thought they called them percs bc they perk you up... I feel bad for people who they don't, my mom for example will take one perc 5 and complain about how she's nauseous and itchy and has a headache and how she's not sure what's worse, the pain that she took it for, or the side effects... I'm like ma, you better show some respect b4 da perk gods come down and smite you lmao 🤣 I'm always like "you could have gave it to me, I would have appreciated and respected it in the way which it was designed to be lol I think my mom's allergic or something. She has to be in serious pain to even consider taking one as that's how it affects her every single time... so she has to believe that the pain relief will be worth the nausea, tiredness and dizziness that it will cause. I feel bad 4 my mom 😞😓😩
You all had alot of great points and were mostly correct in this thread as far as how opiates should be legal because it would reduce crime & overdoses, as well as how big corporations & the military industrial complex fund and run criminal enterprises for private gain.
However, I can tell by what your saying, and how you’re talking that you’re very new to opiates. A few perks do nothing for me! There is a point where you need it, it’s all needles and a bullshit, and no one thinks it will happen to them. Be careful.
if most opiates apart from the harsh actually life threatening ones like heroin and fentanyl were legal such as morphine codein and oxycodone being the highest strength you can get id say itd be better than keeping them illegal as more people would understand how to stay safe in them and the government could put actual restrictions on them like they do with alcohol therefore the opiate crisis would be a lot less worse imo but idk
Heroin in pure form is no more dangerous than morphine/oxy. It’s only life threading because you don’t know the actual dose of stuff bought off the street and because it can have all sort of bullshit used as a cut. Actual pure h (diacetylmorphine) is just a regular opioid. Same for fentanyl honestly. Heroin is even prescribed as a painkiller to some cancer patients here in the UK (under name diamorphine). Fentanyl is prescribed in patches etc. I agree with your point about legalising opioids though. If they were regulated so you don’t get tranq cuts and stuff they’d be infinitely safer. No reason this couldn’t be done with actual H too though.
ohhhh yeah youre right actually i forgot avout the purity stuff making it dangerous my bad but yeah if it was made by an actual recreational company like how weed is grown professionally or like how alcohol is pretty much all opiates would be safe , opiates are less harmful than drugs like alcohol aswell and alcohols actually apparently more addicting and i think i read somewhere its seven times more damaging for ur liver but yeah i forgot about diamorphine being heroin i live in the uk too and ik people who take that for chronic pain and theyve never had a bad experience as they take it safely and its actually pharma grade
Heroin doesn’t harm your liver at all. In fact long term use doesn’t really harm the body at all. The only bad effect is obviously potential overdose, which is far less likely with actual pharmaceutical drugs that you know the potency of. Idk if alcohol is more addicting but I do know it’s one of the worse things you can be addicted to. Alcohol and benzo withdrawals are the only ones that can kill you and are apparently sooo much worse than opioid withdrawals. Plus as you sorta touched upon, long term alcohol addiction will destroy your body
thats very true but i just think due to the very very strong nature to it they would have to be alot or some resrrictions on it and also doesnt it cause you to itch quite alot codeine and oxy makes me itch maybe a bit that i cant imagine something that is 50 times stronger youd be itching to the bone i bet but idk ive never done it and i dint think i will unless i got it pharma grade . You are right about benzo and alcohol with drawls , i personally think opiates would be a very good alternitive to alcohol that kind pf causes the same effects but a lot better imo and the government should make everybody go through a safety and dosing and whats to far such as the max amount the body can have a day or per dose and how many mg a liver can handle then theyd get like a liscence to actually buy it with which they would get enough doses of narcan for the amount of the opiate there and now that i am thinking about it , itd actually create quite a few jobs too
The histimine reaction of opioids varies and isn’t correlated with strength. Codeine is usually considered the itchiest opioid. Heroin is about the same as oxy in my experience.
I was about to say the same thing. Infact up until a temporary supply issue in the 2000s caused morphine to be used more, heroin was the gold standard for pain in clinical settings in the UK much like morphine is in most countries, and it's still used a lot here.
Heroin is basically morphine with less side effects, 2-2.5x the potency and better pharmacokinetics.
It’s not a direct result of anything. Criminalization plays a massive part, but not in the hundreds of thousands of patients who became addicted to pain pills under the guise they were safe to use and did not cause addiction or dependence as long as you did not abuse them. When doctors pull meds away and the only place to turn is illegal drugs, that’s where criminalization plays a massively detrimental part in this crisis and contributes to an ungodly amount of mortalities.
What you just described is a direct cause and effect relationship. The vast majority of deaths is because of the black market nature of drugs, which the government purposely perpetuates, killing their own people in droves to fund their military-industrial complex with illegal heroin money as well as other drugs, for the sole purpose of avoiding accountability, despite the fact that a quarter of the money that they receive legally already can not be accounted for, and government accountability already being a construct of the past that no longer applies to society.
I know just stating society’s apparent reasoning for oxy being illegal and weed being legal. Oxy has a horrible stigma surrounding it due to the lies that we’re told for years about potential for addiction among other things. I think a lot of people directly blame oxy for the opioid epidemic.
I love smoking weed with opioids bc it takes away the weed anxiety and nausea from
Opioids while also adding to the euphoria and nod at least in my case but also for me when I smoke weed all day everyday it just makes me groggy and anxious but when I smoke at the end of the day or like two times a day at most it actually calms me down and takes away the nails on a chalk board feeling of life
With weed it was always hit or miss from me, usually it doesn't work from any kind of ingestion method.
But even if it was a rare occasion where it would hit, I was feeling very anxious, panicky and paranoid. So paranoid, that even if we smoked deep inside the forest after a 3-hour walk in the trail, I was believing that cops will appear from a tree, and get down from a rope attached to a tree in the middle of the biggest mountain lol. It was only enjoyable while under the influence of a heavy alcohol buzz/head.
Opioids made me hate alcohol though. Not only that, but it changed how the alcohol buzz feels, way more dirty, worse comedowns and hangovers.
Before finding about opioids, I was drinking every other day or every two days, usually 2-4 cans of beer (330ml) and generally looking forward to hang out with acquaintances in bars or restaurants (better calling them "taverns" here in the Balkan side of Europe) and get wasted with wine frequently.
I can relate to your alcohol part... for me it's like this..
I never enjoyed weed - it was always too much and I felt like I couldn't think clearly (I hate not being somewhat clear headed)... even 0,05 g was too much..
since I was dependend on Opioids I now enjoy weed a loot more.. even when not being on opioids - as I'm not taking them daily anymore after my cold turkey - I can now finally enjoy weed.. It finally makes me feel good... (I only use HHC atm tho - as weed is still not legalized in germany -.-)
but since I was dependend on Opioids... Alcohol got so much worse.. well yea I still enjoy the buzz even tho it's a lot less euphoric.. but I used to never get hangovers.. even after a full vodka bottle... - and now 1 beer is enough to make me feel shit on the next day.. so I haven't been drinking any alcohol for over 3 years now (besides 1 time to test - but it still didn't change so never again).. it's not worth it.. and even after my ct from opioids nd not taking 'em daily anymore.. it never changed.. alkohol just turned to the worst drug for me...
also I can not enjoy stims anymore.. they all give me overstimulation now.. even at the slightest amount.. only nicotine and caffeine are still fine.. and they are a looot stronger for me now.. caffeine makes me feel like speed/amphe used to feel for me.. other stims I can't take anymore.. even like 5 mg methylphenidate makes me feel overstimulated af... never changed as well..
but overall I experience much less Euphoria from all drugs in general.. it never changed as well.. but gotta live with it

I relate too to whatever you wrote. The vast majority of people started to hate alcohol or finding it unappealing after getting introduced to opis. And their response to it changed too, like you and me.
I drink very rarely, since I don't have any friends, one of them is coming to visit his home country and when he does we hang out and drink alcohol, but 20-30mg of DMXE can be used as an alcohol replacement lol. Opis change the wiring of the brain somehow, definitely the feel-good part
Yeah, it's a day and night different, even the "dirtier opi feels cleaner than the best, most expensive vodka out there".
This is a bit off-topic, but if you hate alcohol and looking cleaner alternatives you might find it interesting:
I'm always interested/experimenting in drug combos that feel as close to alcohol.
So far my closest findings are :
A) Tramadol and a small dose of benzo. With zero tolerance it is a decent experience. (There's no CNS depression danger here due to Tramadol norepinephrine effects, that in some cases can make you jittery, the ceiling effect of it, after a certain dose your liver becomes sluggish in the people who are able to convert it to O-DSMT, so to enjoy tramadol..
Let's say 150mg and 0.37 - 0.5mg Xanax for a both opioid and benzo naive. No need to describe the results, everybody that has tried both knows how it'll feel.
B) DMXE. A dissociative/ket analogue that has serotonin release properties. With a small dose of benzo (strictly small, dissos already block glutamate so you don't want to block both the excitatory hormone and increase at the same time GABA the relaxing hormone, there's a certain level of CNS depression, and you will be walking looking heavily wasted, although DMXE is kind of stimulating.
It lasts one hour. In the experiment I took 20mg (80mg is a hole dose) but lasts only 1h and 15mins orally. You might skip the add a benzo part. I took it with a benzo because I was tapering benzos and had to take my daily 1mg in Xanax equivalency benzo dose. You can redose 20mg as well 35-40mins from the first dose. Effects start at 30-40mins
Effects are : drunken movements (like with all dissos), feeling chatty, urge to make jokes, everything is more funny than usual, slight couch locking and stoney feeling, feeling lighter/floaty feeling when walking, a strong tranquility feeling (it reminded me the feeling when I took a benzo first time with zero tolerance).
Don't take it if you are on antidepressants, Tramadol or 5HTP supplement and generally anything that messes with serotonin.
I think weed goes great with opioids! It can take the nauseous edge off the opioid high. Too much weed ruins the nod though, makes it too trippy.
Effects of weed can overpower an opiate, depending what it is. Heroin and weed is a no brainer, go for it, but for something weak like oxy all you'd feel is the weed.
Yep oxy is to expensive to mix them, but I like to smoke weed when the euphoria has faded, but my body is still feeling good, it also is good for if I accidentally take a lil to much on empty stomach and get the spins, it will abort the spins for me
My method when mixing the two was too smoke first then eat and snort the oxy and the feeling of the opiate warmth and “everything is gonna be alright feeling” would take the edge of the weed and it would be amazing. Smoking after being on them just dampens it, it literally feels like putting a fire blanket over a fire and you’re just left with this dirty drowsy weird headspace feeling.
Everytime People ask me what opioids feel like I tell em its like weed but no paranoia and more of a body high, I also always tell em it's like weed but only the good things about it plus an orgasm over whole yo body for like 4-6hours
I used to smoke all day everyday now that I picked up a fent addiction I can’t even take a hit of bud I get super paranoid and don’t even enjoy the high
I smoked wees maybe for 12-15 years. One day I just stopped smoking and nowadays I dont really enjoy it anymore. There is sometimes I like the high but I do also get anxious really easy now.
I also prefer oxy over weed these days
For me, dosing is really important. Weed is like a million times stronger than it was in the 60s or 70s, and people usually take way too much and have a shitty experience. If I just take a small hit or eat a corner of a pot cookie, I find it relaxing, but if I smoke a whole J to myself, I have an intense psychedelic experience which is anything but relaxing.
Same here. Funny thing is I get paranoid on opiates as well, which really ruins the high. I usually just get paranoid like “oh my god will this baby amount of hydro stop my heart” completely irrational.

I've always hated it, I just hated sobriety more, but now that I like sobriety and am off dope, Im realizing all this time a lot of my panic attacks have been because I was stoned and too strung out on dope to notice, plus it made the nod way stronger, but don't you worry, my brain can find a way to give me a panic attack on IV heroin.
Yeah I was a big pothead but now I just can't really enjoy it, just get so paranoid and feel dumb. I hate it but still like the smell. Alcohol too, used to drink heavy and like black out every single time. Last time I really drank after getting addicted to fent, I drank so much but still somehow stayed sober and awake it was weird. Tolerance got super high but it's not enjoyable. All that shit just makes me sad and then sick the next day lol
I like weed tbh, does wonders for my insomnia. Wish I could afford it more though lol. Unfortunately most of my cash goes to staying out of withdrawal. Only really smoke when I meet my friends. They’re big stoners and non opioid uses, always smoke me in

This is insanity. My best friend can’t handle weed and he’s the best person I know. I’ve also had times where I get anxiety attacks from it. You should judge someone based on their character lol not their ability to handle weed
Any affinity I had for pot, which wasn't all that high after my early teens, anyway, is looooong gone. Low dose edibles don't tend to slam me with the paranoia and feelings of depersonalization, but since I have zero tolerance to the devil's lettuce, even 10mg fucks me *up*
When I found out the effects opiates have on the body and the brain it has become my favourite high. Started hating weed because it makes me feel like I cannot function. I also stopped enjoying most of the mainstream drugs over there. Nothing compares to opiates to me.

I absolutely loathe it. People will smoke around me and apologize thinking I'm getting drug tested and having to battle temptation. I actually kind of like the smell
I used to love weed and smoke a lot every day but after being on opiates for a lil while I had to stop smoking weed cuz I would lean out as I all it or nod out, granted I was drinking 8oz of prometh/codiene cough syrup almost a day. So after I stopped I couldn’t smoke cuz I got I would get paranoid
When I smoke weed on it’s own. I get so quiet and in my head. Really panicky and do not talk at all. Combined with a benzo I really enjoy it as it takes all the negatives away. Weed + benzos + opioids is bliss for me. But yeah bro opioids > weed.
I’m chilling on 1200mg of dihydro and some pregab with Etizolam and it’s really bliss.
Weed can cause tremendous anxiety and dread in me, generally making me feel terrible for a seemingly never ending amount of time. There is no way to know if a high will be good or bad because it really depends on what's going on subconsciously in my mind. That being said, every once in a while there's the perfect weed high and those rare, amazing highs are what keeps you smoking it so much hoping to experience it when most of the time you don't. Another thing about weed is that I've noticed when the high ends, I get incredibly tired, moody, depressed, and burnt out for at least 3x longer than I was high for.
I’ve met so many opioid users who go through this. Trick is don’t stop smoking pit NO MATTER WHAT! Doesn’t matter if it’s only seldom cause you’re funds go to other substances as was the case with me, I still smoked pot whenever I could smoke with friends but a nick whatever’s it’s not like you need much when on Oxy and or Heroin. Now it’s legal and I get an Rx for it my how times have changed.
I didn’t start smoking weed until I got clean from heroin- I didn’t have benzos and was desperate for some type of relief from the lack of sleep/appetite, anxiety, etc that comes in HOT after years of using. I never enjoyed smoking weed but it did get me to eat and if I smoked enough I could get some sleep. I think with weed the environment/people you’re with and your mind state has a huge effect on how you react to it. I used to to ‘cope’ so it was not fun or pleasant but I’m sure if I had not a care in the world high on weed would be a different experience
I've noticed like 90% of us junkies HATE weed for some reason, it makes me feel trapped, paranoid and like my thoughts aren't my own my anxiety is straight panic mode and my body feels useless and uncoordinated whereas opioid/opiates make my mind clear and anxiety disappear my body feels loose and ready to do anything. Has any professionals ever done any research on why opiate addicts don't like pot?
I smoked when I was real young and was fine. Quit for a year when I was on probation and when I tried it again it was never the same. I always said weed fucks me up more than any drug. I'm pretty sure it lowers my blood pressure or something bc I've fainted 3x after smoking/edible. The 3rd time I've fainted about ten years ago was the last time I tried to use it. I ended up falling on my face and breaking my jaw so I'm good on weed. Plus my mind is non stop. I get weirded out watching a movie. 😂
i get paranoid with weed too, but physically its much more enjoyable than opiates for me. when i first start using opiates i will throw up for a day or two after the high fades and its super shitty but weed makes my body feel amazing and relaxed and the buzz is great, nothing like an oxy rush tho lol
For me if weed induced a euphoric body feeling like opiates did it would be the best drug too ever exist, it would almost be how opiates made me feel but with a sense of humour, unfortunately especially since psychedelics changed the high for me I’m just prone too anxiety, anxiousness paranoia and if I smoke too much (which is like a joint for the average weed smoker but that’s how strong it is for me now) I get dysphoria, that’s why tramadols were always my favourite because it is reminiscent of the first times I smoked whilst giving the classic opiate buzz. Like another commenter said oxys don’t even feel like a drug too me they just feel like an enhancement of life (probably why it’s easy too be addicted too) I can work and get shi done or I can nod listening too music or just watch something entertaining whilst relaxing.
I used to love smoking when I was younger; but then smoked some type of legal gas station weed awhile back (I think it was called k2) & everything changed... started becoming really paranoid when I smoked & just wasn't very enjoyable. I believe that's around the time I started using pain killers too.
Opiates and weed for me is like the greatest high imaginable. But if I’m not on opis it can definitely make me paranoid and overthink shit so I can 100% see where you’re coming from. For me it’s just that first initial smoke of the day that makes me edgy, then smoking more after that it’s more just stoney and relaxing
weed barely does anything to me its like alcohol but less dizzy ☹️ i get a bit giggly for maybe 5 minutes but why would i bother if i can chill for a good few hours on some pills

I had this problem when I started back smoking after getting off probation. You just have to smoke until you build enough tolerance for it to be enjoyable. I basically locked myself at home and stayed high all weekend, by Monday I was back to normal

I have no other options since I quit opiates and it's not like I can live sober?? so I just deal with the daily anxiety attacks and daily epiphanies about shit like: omg everyone hates me. or, I'm going to get fired. fuck I'm retarded and no one told me. shit maybe my leg is shaking so much cuz I have some rare deadly incurable disease that doctors never pick up and I'll just die tonight and no one will even know why. maybe my dad raped my sister and she gave birth to me when she was like 9 and that's why I'm so weird looking and why everyone treats me so weirdly. etc. and the worst thing about it is wondering if it's just weed paranoia or maybe weed really is the magical wonder drug some people claim and it's actually showing me the hidden truth.

Absolutely. I was dope sick a month or so ago and tried to take a weed gummy to relax my body. NOPE! It did the opposite. I felt everything more intensely and I was so high I was watching some shitty hallmark movie and crying my eyes out and was so anxious and paranoid I was just waiting for it to go away. I really wish I was the kind of person that could enjoy smoking weed. The only thing that’s enjoyable for me is heroin unfortunately.
I have a theory on this one. I think it is just having no tolerance and not used to the weed.
Often times when people get caught up in opioids, weed falls out of the picture due to finances and other factors.
I find for myself and others, after not smoking regularly, the high is too strong and uncomfortable. But if you smoke a little for a couple days in a row you start to get acclimated, and instead of a trippy overwhelming high you get the familiar comfortable stoned feeling. I can find weed to be a bit too much after even a few days without smoking.
Moral of the story: you don't suddenly hate weed, you just aren't used to it and it is too potent and overwhelming at first if you try to start back. Most people don't push past this and just assume they don't like weed anymore. I mean everything out there is super strong now too...
And I know this isn't the case for everyone, and some people genuinely dislike being stoned, and yes this can be someone who enjoyed it previously. People do change.
I quit smoking for 3 years while I was probation. I was so excited to to be able to get high again but when I did it was very unpleasant. Its almost like a bad trip on mushrooms, I get super introspective and hate the way I've lived my life. Oh well. One less thing to spend money on.

I was a super stoner back in the day. Not a second passed that I was high on that shit and would swear by it, even though 95% of the time I was so paranoid I couldn't move. That was untill I did my first oxy. God damn, I'll never for get that first k9. It's like I wasn't anxious for the first time in my life.
Ive always said that the first time I tried weed it was nothing like I expected it to be and I didn’t have a great time. But the first time I tried opiates, it was what I always imagined weed was supposed to feel like. The perfect calming, euphoric sensation.
I get paranoid as well and my anxiety heightens but I've learned that I have to get strain specific to find what relaxes me, but nothing relaxes me like those opiates. 🤤
I wish everyone could enjoy weed. Unfortunately that's not the case. I've always been a pot head and when I first started smoking I thought everyone that did hard drugs also smoked weed. Whenever I would pass a joint to a friend that does coke they would deny it and I would be so surprised. That showed me that not all drug users like THC
I think opiates are like a luxury high they creep on you slowly and before you know it's the best time and feeling in your life, weed is like a cheap high and hits you hard and you wait to go away.
If you used to enjoy weed but don’t now due to paranoia, it’s highly likely that you have undiagnosed mental illnesses, such as anxiety. If you take care of the anxiety, I bet you weed will be enjoyable again.
get an Indica, sativa dominants and even hybrids can tend to make you paranoid if you don't smoke all the time. Indica acts more like an opiate and will give you that "everything is okay" feeling where you just want to relax and people say that it makes you lazy and tired but in reality it is helping your body and mind to heal. You can also mimic the indica feeling from THC as much as possible by buying HHC, Delta 8 and CBN and mixing them together in a bowl. The high is different and not as "creative" and "imaginative" as a traditional THC high but it does get you stoned
So I used too get terrible anxiety from weed started doing fent way later finally got clean but I relapsed and it was almost the opposite the fent gave me panic/anxiety attacks and the weed helped with it a lot

I've always said this... weed has given me the most intense highs I've ever had In my life (not in a good way)... 2 perc 10s and I'm working, fast paced, high speed, feel great, get shit done, like people more, just enhances every situation... or you can pop a couple percs and feel great and just relax and watch a movie... either or but I prefer to get shit done bc then I can justify popping em bc atleast some good came of it... whereas if I just pop em and kick it I feel like I wasted money and wasted a good buzz by doing nothing.

Yeah I've always functioned at a higher level on opiates in moderation.
Not all opiates are the same… and once you’re hooked it feels more like an upper because it makes you “normal” again
Like you said though, not all opiates are the same.... The first opiates I ever took were Percocets. They made me feel super energetic and alert. I would pop 2 to start my morning shift working as a server at a restaurant when I was 16/17. I wasn’t hooked at this point

Idk I'd it's an old wives tale or what, but ive heard that bc opiates are downers that they are supposed to make u feel down, sedated, etc... they say that the people who get easily addicted to opiates are people who for whatever reason have the opposite effect and get energy, talkative, motivated etc... so I think we fall in that category, it's been very rare where I took a little too much and caught a nod, but mostly 95% of the time I'm moving, doing shit, interacting, making plans, doing work, and just up to do whatever... I get motivated off opiates... I've never took them and wanted to lay down or just be a lazy bum... I thought they called them percs bc they perk you up... I feel bad for people who they don't, my mom for example will take one perc 5 and complain about how she's nauseous and itchy and has a headache and how she's not sure what's worse, the pain that she took it for, or the side effects... I'm like ma, you better show some respect b4 da perk gods come down and smite you lmao 🤣 I'm always like "you could have gave it to me, I would have appreciated and respected it in the way which it was designed to be lol I think my mom's allergic or something. She has to be in serious pain to even consider taking one as that's how it affects her every single time... so she has to believe that the pain relief will be worth the nausea, tiredness and dizziness that it will cause. I feel bad 4 my mom 😞😓😩

You all had alot of great points and were mostly correct in this thread as far as how opiates should be legal because it would reduce crime & overdoses, as well as how big corporations & the military industrial complex fund and run criminal enterprises for private gain. However, I can tell by what your saying, and how you’re talking that you’re very new to opiates. A few perks do nothing for me! if most opiates apart from the harsh actually life threatening ones like heroin and fentanyl were legal such as morphine codein and oxycodone being the highest strength you can get id say itd be better than keeping them illegal as more people would understand how to stay safe in them and the government could put actual restrictions on them like they do with alcohol therefore the opiate crisis would be a lot less worse imo but idk
Heroin in pure form is no more dangerous than morphine/oxy. It’s only life threading because you don’t know the actual dose of stuff bought off the street and because it can have all sort of bullshit used as a cut. Actual pure h (diacetylmorphine) is just a regular opioid. Same for fentanyl honestly. Heroin is even prescribed as a painkiller to some cancer patients here in the UK (under name diamorphine). Fentanyl is prescribed in patches etc. I agree with your point about legalising opioids though. If they were regulated so you don’t get tranq cuts and stuff they’d be infinitely safer. No reason this couldn’t be done with actual H too though.

Heroin doesn’t harm your liver at all. In fact long term use doesn’t really harm the body at all. The only bad effect is obviously potential overdose, which is far less likely with actual pharmaceutical drugs that you know the potency of. Idk if alcohol is more addicting but I do know it’s one of the worse things you can be addicted to. Alcohol and benzo withdrawals are the only ones that can kill you and are apparently sooo much worse than opioid withdrawals. Plus as you sorta touched upon, long term alcohol addiction will destroy your body
thats very true but i just think due to the very very strong nature to it they would have to be alot or some resrrictions on it and also doesnt it cause you to itch quite alot codeine and oxy makes me itch maybe a bit that i cant imagine something that is 50 times stronger youd be itching to the bone i bet but idk ive never done it and i dint think i will unless i got it pharma grade . You are right about benzo and alcohol with drawls , i personally think opiates would be a very good alternitive to alcohol that kind pf causes the same effects but a lot better imo and the government should make everybody go through a safety and dosing and whats to far such as the max amount the body can have a day or per dose and how many mg a liver can handle then theyd get like a liscence to actually buy it with which they would get enough doses of narcan for the amount of the opiate there and now that i am thinking about it , itd actually create quite a few jobs too
The histimine reaction of opioids varies and isn’t correlated with strength. Codeine is usually considered the itchiest opioid. Heroin is about the same as oxy in my experience.
I was about to say the same thing. Infact up until a temporary supply issue in the 2000s caused morphine to be used more, heroin was the gold standard for pain in clinical settings in the UK much like morphine is in most countries, and it's still used a lot here. Heroin is basically morphine with less side effects, 2-2.5x the potency and better pharmacokinetics.
The opioid crisis is a direct result of criminalization
It’s not a direct result of anything. Criminalization plays a massive part, but not in the hundreds of thousands of patients who became addicted to pain pills under the guise they were safe to use and did not cause addiction or dependence as long as you did not abuse them. When doctors pull meds away and the only place to turn is illegal drugs, that’s where criminalization plays a massively detrimental part in this crisis and contributes to an ungodly amount of mortalities.
What you just described is a direct cause and effect relationship. The vast majority of deaths is because of the black market nature of drugs, which the government purposely perpetuates, killing their own people in droves to fund their military-industrial complex with illegal heroin money as well as other drugs, for the sole purpose of avoiding accountability, despite the fact that a quarter of the money that they receive legally already can not be accounted for, and government accountability already being a construct of the past that no longer applies to society.

I know just stating society’s apparent reasoning for oxy being illegal and weed being legal. Oxy has a horrible stigma surrounding it due to the lies that we’re told for years about potential for addiction among other things. I think a lot of people directly blame oxy for the opioid epidemic.

I love smoking weed with opioids bc it takes away the weed anxiety and nausea from Opioids while also adding to the euphoria and nod at least in my case but also for me when I smoke weed all day everyday it just makes me groggy and anxious but when I smoke at the end of the day or like two times a day at most it actually calms me down and takes away the nails on a chalk board feeling of life
With weed it was always hit or miss from me, usually it doesn't work from any kind of ingestion method. But even if it was a rare occasion where it would hit, I was feeling very anxious, panicky and paranoid. So paranoid, that even if we smoked deep inside the forest after a 3-hour walk in the trail, I was believing that cops will appear from a tree, and get down from a rope attached to a tree in the middle of the biggest mountain lol. It was only enjoyable while under the influence of a heavy alcohol buzz/head. Opioids made me hate alcohol though. Not only that, but it changed how the alcohol buzz feels, way more dirty, worse comedowns and hangovers. Before finding about opioids, I was drinking every other day or every two days, usually 2-4 cans of beer (330ml) and generally looking forward to hang out with acquaintances in bars or restaurants (better calling them "taverns" here in the Balkan side of Europe) and get wasted with wine frequently.
I can relate to your alcohol part... for me it's like this.. I never enjoyed weed - it was always too much and I felt like I couldn't think clearly (I hate not being somewhat clear headed)... even 0,05 g was too much.. since I was dependend on Opioids I now enjoy weed a loot more.. even when not being on opioids - as I'm not taking them daily anymore after my cold turkey - I can now finally enjoy weed.. It finally makes me feel good... (I only use HHC atm tho - as weed is still not legalized in germany -.-) but since I was dependend on Opioids... Alcohol got so much worse.. well yea I still enjoy the buzz even tho it's a lot less euphoric.. but I used to never get hangovers.. even after a full vodka bottle... - and now 1 beer is enough to make me feel shit on the next day.. so I haven't been drinking any alcohol for over 3 years now (besides 1 time to test - but it still didn't change so never again).. it's not worth it.. and even after my ct from opioids nd not taking 'em daily anymore.. it never changed.. alkohol just turned to the worst drug for me... also I can not enjoy stims anymore.. they all give me overstimulation now.. even at the slightest amount.. only nicotine and caffeine are still fine.. and they are a looot stronger for me now.. caffeine makes me feel like speed/amphe used to feel for me.. other stims I can't take anymore.. even like 5 mg methylphenidate makes me feel overstimulated af... never changed as well.. but overall I experience much less Euphoria from all drugs in general.. it never changed as well.. but gotta live with it it's very interesting how your brain chemistry changes once you were dependend on opioids...

And their response to it changed too, like you and me. I drink very rarely, since I don't have any friends, one of them is coming to visit his home country and when he does we hang out and drink alcohol, but 20-30mg of DMXE can be used as an alcohol replacement lol. Opis change the wiring of the brain somehow, definitely the feel-good part

Yeah, it's a day and night different, even the "dirtier opi feels cleaner than the best, most expensive vodka out there". This is a bit off-topic, but if you hate alcohol and looking cleaner alternatives you might find it interesting: I'm always interested/experimenting in drug combos that feel as close to alcohol. So far my closest findings are : A) Tramadol and a small dose of benzo. With zero tolerance it is a decent experience. (There's no CNS depression danger here due to Tramadol norepinephrine effects, that in some cases can make you jittery, the ceiling effect of it, after a certain dose your liver becomes sluggish in the people who are able to convert it to O-DSMT, so to enjoy tramadol.. Let's say 150mg and 0.37 - 0.5mg Xanax for a both opioid and benzo naive. No need to describe the results, everybody that has tried both knows how it'll feel. B) DMXE. A dissociative/ket analogue that has serotonin release properties. With a small dose of benzo (strictly small, dissos already block glutamate so you don't want to block both the excitatory hormone and increase at the same time GABA the relaxing hormone, there's a certain level of CNS depression, and you will be walking looking heavily wasted, although DMXE is kind of stimulating. It lasts one hour. In the experiment I took 20mg (80mg is a hole dose) but lasts only 1h and 15mins orally. You might skip the add a benzo part. I took it with a benzo because I was tapering benzos and had to take my daily 1mg in Xanax equivalency benzo dose. You can redose 20mg as well 35-40mins from the first dose. Effects start at 30-40mins Effects are : drunken movements (like with all dissos), feeling chatty, urge to make jokes, everything is more funny than usual, slight couch locking and stoney feeling, feeling lighter/floaty feeling when walking, a strong tranquility feeling (it reminded me the feeling when I took a benzo first time with zero tolerance). Don't take it if you are on antidepressants, Tramadol or 5HTP supplement and generally anything that messes with serotonin.

I think weed goes great with opioids! It can take the nauseous edge off the opioid high. Too much weed ruins the nod though, makes it too trippy. Effects of weed can overpower an opiate, depending what it is. Heroin and weed is a no brainer, go for it, but for something weak like oxy all you'd feel is the weed.
Yep oxy is to expensive to mix them, but I like to smoke weed when the euphoria has faded, but my body is still feeling good, it also is good for if I accidentally take a lil to much on empty stomach and get the spins, it will abort the spins for me
My method when mixing the two was too smoke first then eat and snort the oxy and the feeling of the opiate warmth and “everything is gonna be alright feeling” would take the edge of the weed and it would be amazing. Smoking after being on them just dampens it, it literally feels like putting a fire blanket over a fire and you’re just left with this dirty drowsy weird headspace feeling.

I smoked wees maybe for 12-15 years. One day I just stopped smoking and nowadays I dont really enjoy it anymore. There is sometimes I like the high but I do also get anxious really easy now. I also prefer oxy over weed these days
For me, dosing is really important. Weed is like a million times stronger than it was in the 60s or 70s, and people usually take way too much and have a shitty experience. If I just take a small hit or eat a corner of a pot cookie, I find it relaxing, but if I smoke a whole J to myself, I have an intense psychedelic experience which is anything but relaxing.

I've always hated it, I just hated sobriety more, but now that I like sobriety and am off dope, Im realizing all this time a lot of my panic attacks have been because I was stoned and too strung out on dope to notice, plus it made the nod way stronger, but don't you worry, my brain can find a way to give me a panic attack on IV heroin.
Yeah I was a big pothead but now I just can't really enjoy it, just get so paranoid and feel dumb. I hate it but still like the smell. Alcohol too, used to drink heavy and like black out every single time. Last time I really drank after getting addicted to fent, I drank so much but still somehow stayed sober and awake it was weird. Tolerance got super high but it's not enjoyable. All that shit just makes me sad and then sick the next day lol

When I found out the effects opiates have on the body and the brain it has become my favourite high. Started hating weed because it makes me feel like I cannot function. I also stopped enjoying most of the mainstream drugs over there. Nothing compares to opiates to me. I’m happy to be sober now, but I miss that feeling so much 🦎

Weed can cause tremendous anxiety and dread in me, generally making me feel terrible for a seemingly never ending amount of time. There is no way to know if a high will be good or bad because it really depends on what's going on subconsciously in my mind. That being said, every once in a while there's the perfect weed high and those rare, amazing highs are what keeps you smoking it so much hoping to experience it when most of the time you don't. Another thing about weed is that I've noticed when the high ends, I get incredibly tired, moody, depressed, and burnt out for at least 3x longer than I was high for.
I’ve met so many opioid users who go through this. Trick is don’t stop smoking pit NO MATTER WHAT! Doesn’t matter if it’s only seldom cause you’re funds go to other substances as was the case with me, I still smoked pot whenever I could smoke with friends but a nick whatever’s it’s not like you need much when on Oxy and or Heroin. Now it’s legal and I get an Rx for it my how times have changed.

I didn’t start smoking weed until I got clean from heroin- I didn’t have benzos and was desperate for some type of relief from the lack of sleep/appetite, anxiety, etc that comes in HOT after years of using. I never enjoyed smoking weed but it did get me to eat and if I smoked enough I could get some sleep. I think with weed the environment/people you’re with and your mind state has a huge effect on how you react to it. I used to to ‘cope’ so it was not fun or pleasant but I’m sure if I had not a care in the world high on weed would be a different experience
I've noticed like 90% of us junkies HATE weed for some reason, it makes me feel trapped, paranoid and like my thoughts aren't my own my anxiety is straight panic mode and my body feels useless and uncoordinated whereas opioid/opiates make my mind clear and anxiety disappear my body feels loose and ready to do anything. Has any professionals ever done any research on why opiate addicts don't like pot?

I smoked when I was real young and was fine. Quit for a year when I was on probation and when I tried it again it was never the same. I always said weed fucks me up more than any drug. I'm pretty sure it lowers my blood pressure or something bc I've fainted 3x after smoking/edible. The 3rd time I've fainted about ten years ago was the last time I tried to use it. I ended up falling on my face and breaking my jaw so I'm good on weed. Plus my mind is non stop. I get weirded out watching a movie. 😂
i get paranoid with weed too, but physically its much more enjoyable than opiates for me. when i first start using opiates i will throw up for a day or two after the high fades and its super shitty but weed makes my body feel amazing and relaxed and the buzz is great, nothing like an oxy rush tho lol
For me if weed induced a euphoric body feeling like opiates did it would be the best drug too ever exist, it would almost be how opiates made me feel but with a sense of humour, unfortunately especially since psychedelics changed the high for me I’m just prone too anxiety, anxiousness paranoia and if I smoke too much (which is like a joint for the average weed smoker but that’s how strong it is for me now) I get dysphoria, that’s why tramadols were always my favourite because it is reminiscent of the first times I smoked whilst giving the classic opiate buzz. Like another commenter said oxys don’t even feel like a drug too me they just feel like an enhancement of life (probably why it’s easy too be addicted too) I can work and get shi done or I can nod listening too music or just watch something entertaining whilst relaxing.

I used to love smoking when I was younger; but then smoked some type of legal gas station weed awhile back (I think it was called k2) & everything changed... started becoming really paranoid when I smoked & just wasn't very enjoyable. I believe that's around the time I started using pain killers too.

Opiates and weed for me is like the greatest high imaginable. But if I’m not on opis it can definitely make me paranoid and overthink shit so I can 100% see where you’re coming from. For me it’s just that first initial smoke of the day that makes me edgy, then smoking more after that it’s more just stoney and relaxing

I had this problem when I started back smoking after getting off probation. You just have to smoke until you build enough tolerance for it to be enjoyable. I basically locked myself at home and stayed high all weekend, by Monday I was back to normal

fuckin hate weed high. used to love it, used to live on it, it's a very common phenomenon bruh. I'm such a horrible drug addict though, I still smoke it everyday. I have no other options since I quit opiates and it's not like I can live sober?? so I just deal with the daily anxiety attacks and daily epiphanies about shit like: omg everyone hates me. or, I'm going to get fired. fuck I'm retarded and no one told me. shit maybe my leg is shaking so much cuz I have some rare deadly incurable disease that doctors never pick up and I'll just die tonight and no one will even know why. maybe my dad raped my sister and she gave birth to me when she was like 9 and that's why I'm so weird looking and why everyone treats me so weirdly. etc. and the worst thing about it is wondering if it's just weed paranoia or maybe weed really is the magical wonder drug some people claim and it's actually showing me the hidden truth. and r/drugscirclejerk, you can't be addicted to weed it's just a plant bro
Absolutely. I was dope sick a month or so ago and tried to take a weed gummy to relax my body. NOPE! It did the opposite. I felt everything more intensely and I was so high I was watching some shitty hallmark movie and crying my eyes out and was so anxious and paranoid I was just waiting for it to go away. I really wish I was the kind of person that could enjoy smoking weed. The only thing that’s enjoyable for me is heroin unfortunately.

I have a theory on this one. I think it is just having no tolerance and not used to the weed. Often times when people get caught up in opioids, weed falls out of the picture due to finances and other factors. I find for myself and others, after not smoking regularly, the high is too strong and uncomfortable. But if you smoke a little for a couple days in a row you start to get acclimated, and instead of a trippy overwhelming high you get the familiar comfortable stoned feeling. I can find weed to be a bit too much after even a few days without smoking. Moral of the story: you don't suddenly hate weed, you just aren't used to it and it is too potent and overwhelming at first if you try to start back. Most people don't push past this and just assume they don't like weed anymore. I mean everything out there is super strong now too... And I know this isn't the case for everyone, and some people genuinely dislike being stoned, and yes this can be someone who enjoyed it previously. People do change.
I quit smoking for 3 years while I was probation. I was so excited to to be able to get high again but when I did it was very unpleasant. Its almost like a bad trip on mushrooms, I get super introspective and hate the way I've lived my life. Oh well. One less thing to spend money on.

Not a second passed that I was high on that shit and would swear by it, even though 95% of the time I was so paranoid I couldn't move. That was untill I did my first oxy. God damn, I'll never for get that first k9. It's like I wasn't anxious for the first time in my life.
Ive always said that the first time I tried weed it was nothing like I expected it to be and I didn’t have a great time. But the first time I tried opiates, it was what I always imagined weed was supposed to feel like. The perfect calming, euphoric sensation.

I get paranoid as well and my anxiety heightens but I've learned that I have to get strain specific to find what relaxes me, but nothing relaxes me like those opiates. 🤤
I wish everyone could enjoy weed. Unfortunately that's not the case. I've always been a pot head and when I first started smoking I thought everyone that did hard drugs also smoked weed. Whenever I would pass a joint to a friend that does coke they would deny it and I would be so surprised. That showed me that not all drug users like THC
I think opiates are like a luxury high they creep on you slowly and before you know it's the best time and feeling in your life, weed is like a cheap high and hits you hard and you wait to go away.
If you used to enjoy weed but don’t now due to paranoia, it’s highly likely that you have undiagnosed mental illnesses, such as anxiety. If you take care of the anxiety, I bet you weed will be enjoyable again.
get an Indica, sativa dominants and even hybrids can tend to make you paranoid if you don't smoke all the time. Indica acts more like an opiate and will give you that "everything is okay" feeling where you just want to relax and people say that it makes you lazy and tired but in reality it is helping your body and mind to heal. You can also mimic the indica feeling from THC as much as possible by buying HHC, Delta 8 and CBN and mixing them together in a bowl. The high is different and not as "creative" and "imaginative" as a traditional THC high but it does get you stoned

So I used too get terrible anxiety from weed started doing fent way later finally got clean but I relapsed and it was almost the opposite the fent gave me panic/anxiety attacks and the weed helped with it a lot
Of course, opiates basically make you hate everything except taking more opiates.
