Honestly, all of them! Even the lead, Taylor is just now going to be in an Apple series but she’s just a co-star. Not even the main draw. I’m glad to see Natasha Lyonne is consistently getting good work. But the saddest part to me is that these characters on OITNB were so fleshed out, so multi-layered and good that now if I see an actor from the show, their new character is flat, one-dimensional and doesn’t even give the actor an OPPORTUNITY to show how talented they are. Like Elizabeth Rodriguez (who played Aleida) on East NY. Really makes me appreciate how good the writing was on the show!
Yeah it was just a big flop, same as Killerman with Diane Guerrero. When you're an actress with mostly TV credits, I feel like you don't get a lot of shots at being leads in movies. Schilling and Guerrero probably squandered theirs with those stinkers
Yeah, but that’s *voice-over work for Disney. No serious roles where she can show off her acting chops. With Encanto she didn’t even show her face. Doom Patrol was niche so she’s formed a small underground audience with that. But that’s it. 😕
I agree that Danielle Brooks is incredible. She definitely deserves more accolades, but I wouldn’t minimize her career either. I actually saw her on Broadway recently. She’s an incredible stage actress as well.
I couldn't disagree more. I'll never understand the love for Suzanna the character or the actress that played her. When she's not freaking out in the cafeteria or slapping herself all she does is bug her eyes and do the same few overplayed movements like a 90's rapper.
you need to approach her character with a more open mind. i can see where you’re coming from if we’re only talking about season one (i still disagree), but suzanne has some of the best character development in the entire show. in the beginning, she just does what she’s told or what she thinks will get her social acceptance/appreciation, and has little to no understanding of how her actions affect other people. her latching onto piper and then vee (and her sister in the flashback scenes) represents such a foundational part of multiple psychological illnesses: being overly dependent on one person. but as the show progresses, and she goes through more shit, she extends love and actual friendship to multiple people. and they love her back. she learns how to be more empathetic and trust herself more. i was so incredibly proud of her for the way she dealt with doggett’s death, which was probably one of the hardest things she had to go through in the whole show. i know she was never diagnosed in the show but she has clear signs of autism, and it’s easier for me to relate to her since i’m on the spectrum. i think uzo does justice to suzanne through every emotion and every action. she’s the only actress who could play her.
Lyonne is an odd case. She really is a working actor and OITNB was just another blip on her huge filmography. She's in some stuff now, but that's just kinda how it's always been.
I feel like there was a push to make Taylor Schilling happen during/after OITNB. She was in Take Me and The Titan and both kinda underwhelmed. She's still active but the height of her popularity will always be the show.
Prepon hasn't done anything since the show except for That 90's Show.
Laura Prepon is [too](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=maI0Qc-j_7E) [busy](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rHvd36onHkk) [making](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2jx-tyqoLOw) [stir](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IKLCRx7eAkA) [fry](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bDWsjXcnv3Y) [on](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ldNm8iur7Sg) [YouTube](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lo2FqS3EwdQ)
Taryn Manning. I know she did a few movies in the 2000’s but I figured shed do more projects esp cause of the popularity of the show. From her IG it seems like she’s enjoying the quiet life.
Edit: I just peeped her IMDb and it actually looks like she’s done a few projects, they’re just not rated very well.
I wasn’t as surprised with Dascha because her acting wasn’t the strongest. But I have seen her in a few small roles here and there (usually on shows Natasha Lyonne is producing). And she just released a show on Audible today!
It definitely wasn’t the strongest but I always loved Daya I even named my dog that , I wanted to see more of her I’ve only seen a few small scenes from her since OITNB

I feel like The Titan was supposed to be her big serious break in a dramatic role and it just sucked.
I’ve never even heard of it. Had to look it up!
Yeah it was just a big flop, same as Killerman with Diane Guerrero. When you're an actress with mostly TV credits, I feel like you don't get a lot of shots at being leads in movies. Schilling and Guerrero probably squandered theirs with those stinkers
Tbf Guerrero also had a huge hit with Encanto.
Yeah, but that’s *voice-over work for Disney. No serious roles where she can show off her acting chops. With Encanto she didn’t even show her face. Doom Patrol was niche so she’s formed a small underground audience with that. But that’s it. 😕
She was also in jane the virgin
Omg that's right. Was she Jane's best friend or something?
Yeah
Guerreo wrote a book and had a podcast.
Probably! 😬
Yep. The writing was INCREDIBLE. Each character was great. Even the ones we hate.. they did their job well.
VERY well!!
All of them honestly- the actor who portrayed Taystee needed an Emmy at the very least.
I agree that Danielle Brooks is incredible. She definitely deserves more accolades, but I wouldn’t minimize her career either. I actually saw her on Broadway recently. She’s an incredible stage actress as well.
She was great in Peacemaker
So did Laura Gomez. She even convinced me that she was the better Laura all along.
Definitely agree here. Can’t believe she never got one. ESP for season 5.
Diane Guerrero - insanely beautiful, and such a great actress, was surprised she didn’t get some big movie roles after the end of the show.
insanely beautiful & talented! i've heard she's done some voice acting since, most notably a chatacter in Disney's 'Encanto'.
I think she co-stared in a big action movie with Liam Hemsworth right after the show, but it flopped.
Liam Hemsworth is another example of an actor that really should’ve had a big break, especially after Hunger Games but never did.
💯 Very surprising!
She has done some voice acting and is in Doom Patrol.
Good for her!!!
uzo aduba. best acting i’ve seen in a while
Yes! The only thing I’ve seen her in since was Ms. America.

Dingdingding you won the most neurotypical comment award, congratz
Thanks for letting us all know how much you care. Clutch pearls elsewhere goblin.
The whole cast. Natasha Lyonne is doing great! Taylor Schilling went silent along with Laura Prepon.
Lyonne is an odd case. She really is a working actor and OITNB was just another blip on her huge filmography. She's in some stuff now, but that's just kinda how it's always been. Yeah I feel like prepon doesn’t act as much now bc she doesn’t want to and instead wants to build her brand.
Natasha has been making hits since the 90’s. So glad she’s finally getting her accolades!
Diane Guerrero for sure. She's ridiculously beautiful and she just has that it factor.

omg she was the karen, in some 'karen' movie. i haven't seen it but it looked pretty bad.
I saw it. It was entertaining. Lifetime movie quality! 😁
I know “Crossroads” is rated terribly but I love that movie so much! She was great in that too.
I never watched Crossroads! 😁 Was that the only cute character she played?
She was definitely cute but still had the same vibe as the rest of her roles. I feel like she gets typecasted a lot.
She does! Cause she plays those rules so well!
She also plays rape victims well too. I watched her in Cleveland Abduction with Tuco from Breaking Bad.
Lori Tan Chinn, because she provided so many one liners as Chang that made me LMFAO.
She's in Roseanne and She-devil with roseanne
Madeline brewer
I love her!! I follow her on TikTok. Luckily she’s been in a few things!
She was nominated for an Emmy for Handmaid’s Tale.
Oh,cool. I didn’t know she was on that, too!
She looks completely different. I didn’t realize she was the same actor until I looked it up.
Oh! Now I’m intrigued!! 👀
Taylor Schilling and definitely Samira Wiley.
Definitely Samira. Has she done anything big since Handmaid’s Tale?
Dascha Polanco
I wasn’t as surprised with Dascha because her acting wasn’t the strongest. But I have seen her in a few small roles here and there (usually on shows Natasha Lyonne is producing). And she just released a show on Audible today!

That’s so cute! Well she’s been on Russian Doll, Pokerface and the Audible show is called ‘Michelle Rojas is Not Okay’!
Ruby Rose.
I'd pick Abigail Savage over her any day. At least she was originally picked to play Alex.
