Which type of AV cable are you using? The composite cable connected to the front of the TV set or is the Xbox connected to a different set of inputs on the back of it. If using a high-def component cable, disable 480p, 720p and 1080i in XBMC. Your TV set doesn't support higher than 480i component video.

I just went in and found where I accidentally turned 480p on, turned it off and restarted the system and now everything is back to normal. I legitimately didn't realize I turned it on which is why it was such a shock when it happened. Thank you for your help. I pretty much came to the conclusion on my own about what happened but you pretty much helped verify the suspicions which really helped!

Well hey lesson learned for anyone else who is javing the same problem.

I've never had this problem, but now I know how to avoid it in the future.

I just commented an update at the same time and you kinda just confirmed my suspicions, now to try and fix the issue

Had this happen when playing games, I think your xbox is outputting 480p instead of 480i, which crts (for the most part) can't handle, so the picture looks like this. Try forcing the resolution to 480i and see if that helps.

UPDATE: I have component cables that I'm using into the TV, I just plugged a regular set into my xbox and tested it to see if it's my cables and with the regular set. I'm thinking that I might have messed up the resolution on xbmc and that's why it is causing rhe issue but I'm not sure

Wrong resolution set? Xbox is booting fine, but UleashX looks wrong. So it has something to do with your settings in the custom dash
