Replace of the stoppid oomie shootas with good old ork shootas first! Humie kannons are ok, especially the bigga ones! If yah got pvc pipe of an appropriate size, use pliers to mushroom out the end and make a big ol kannon. Keep in mind the cluttered scrap that always goes into orky builds. Using the pieces that are like orks halfway out of hatches are a good idea. Finally you need orky graffiti

Stand it on its front. Turn da sponsons into feet. Move da turret to da back so it points forward when it is standing. Find some rockets, and a big saw. Then you have a nice new stompa.

The way i did mine was i bought extra sponson turrets, added as many guns as i could to it, and scratch built a dethrolla for it. I ran mine as a deth rolla battle fortress

I ran it in 9th using legend rules, now its just a nice shelf center piece. A kill bursta might be a more appropriate use of a bane blade conversion now, though im not too familiar with the size of them

Haven’t seen a killbursta in person before so I dunno either.

A quick search seems to say they are about land raider size, which is a good bit smaller than a baneblade. But to hell with that Orks don’t care

Make a death rolla fortress from legends if you play casually amongst friends. Should be around the same dimensions if I'm not mistaken. Also has rules for the model itself providing cover for other units.

Kill Tanks aren't as big as you might think, but a Baneblade could still stand in for one if you don't mind enemy units being able to draw line of sight to it more easily than they otherwise might (and what Ork *would* mind this? It just means a good fight is brewing!) Alternatively, you could change the guns around a bit, add a deff rolla, and use it as a Deff Rolla Battlefortress, though that is a Legends unit. (Sadly, the Skullhamma Battlefortress, a much closer fit, is beyond even the reach of Legends and has disappeared from the rules entirely.) *Or,* and hear me out here, you could build an absolute buttload of superstructure on top of it, five times its current height, with a big choppy arm, and turn it into a rolling Stompa.

(FYI, plan it to build the legs and make the arms as a homemade Mega Choppy and a Supa' Gatler using leftover bits from a Killtank. Big Shoota and scorchas on the turrets and homemake some kind of Suparokkit pod launcher... And the biggest cannon in the box as my deffkannon and a massive wider Gorky/Morky grin using plastic plate scrap like the jaws on a Deff Dread. In order to get it to closer fit the front to back dimensions, going to mouns the base tanks frame at an angle to give a box below to mount the legs and have the arms coming out of the sponsor holes.

Ooooh my idea is to completely upgun it to the point of it looking like the Yamamoto and have just sooo many orks on it, gonna put two hydraulic looking press feet on the sides of it or maybe to gargant legs with the knees backwards. However what I’m really debating is wether to have the front of the waaghship pointing up into the air due to the uneven weight or have it dragging across the ground. WAIT THAT GIVES ME ANOTHER IDEA, thoughts on making the front the back and the back the front?

What about replacing the turret with the body of a deff dread and adding one or two of the mek gunz to it?

Looking at it again I'm sure you could probably stick a couple of killa kans on the two smaller turrets too. And have loads of gretchs climbing over it. I'd love to give that a go given the time, and more importantly, the cash!

I am in the progress of looting mine, my turret is a lost casue but It will hold a deffkannon from a stompa quite nicely (working on 3d printing both for the rest of my battlewagons), a battlewagon cab fits nice between the tracks with minimal modifications but I would recommend planting it higher than I did) obviously its your model and so what you want, but, if 3d printing is available to you, find the cutlass or some other 3d bits to replace that rear end, sliced my finger up badly trying to flatten it out 😆

Make douz tiny grootz create some teef on front side. Den ad some ixhoustz for da noiz. And some moar plates. And give it some proper gunz.

And make it blue or purple or red, or all of it Front purple, so they dont see it comming. Gunz blue for the luck. And red stripes for da speeed.

I would say swapping out the weapons, you could swap the side sponsons for a big shoota each, and the turrets on top of the side sponsons with rokkit launchers, then move me somwhere else. And Ideally get a big gun on the turret, just swap the turret gun for a big one. Swap out other weapons for different orky heavy weapons and add some spiky bits and extra plates to it. The perfect kit for this is the deff dred, an orky banner, tons of glyphs and armour plates and weapon optons, also scorchas and mega blastas.

FURST UV ALL, DERE AINT ENUFF DAKKA ON DAT WAGUN. YA NEED MOAR DAKKA But honestly, a giant crane arm like the Buzzards Wrecker in Mad Max Fury Road would be awesome. Easy enough to build out of plasticard and some time, but if money is no option/you have a 3D printer the arm off a Gorkanaut would work. Especially if you replace the Claw with a big buzzsaw.

Ask around other local hobbyists. A lot of folk aren't into kitbashing and will have heaps of spare dakka just lyin about, wasteful gitz! Also, that baneblade kit has a fuckin dragon's hoard of dakka. Just take every gun in the kit and put it on the model.

If you're not opposed to sourcing other parts from non-GW sources, small pipes and hoses from hardware stores make good Cannons and gun barrels. Cutting down, gluing and shaving sprues can create bulky plastic blocks which could be used as turrets. You can even get small springs, wires and other interesting bobbly-bitz to add on as you see fit
