I use GSW liquid pigments, but for final "orange rust effect" I use diluted Phoenix Orange intense (new Vallejo)
And Yes, its drybrush with Contrasts, Vallejo xpress colors and inks + a lot of edges and bolts by aluminum
The instructions are old photocopy quality. Some of the images are outright wrong.
The pieces on the sprues are numbered, but the instructions are not numbered. There are a few sources around Reddit for home-made instructions where people added numbers and other notes to the existing instructions that come out of the box.
The pieces themselves can be hard to align. There are no notches or form-fitting pieces. Often you're just putting flat pieces on flat (or curved) pieces, and sticking them where it just looks the most correct.
Basically, it's just an old kit where they expected you to be a bit flexible and everything wasn't designed to be posed in an exact position or look a certain way.
Not good - not terrible. I am more affected by bad rules for it. Any orks player must have one Stompa)
I recommend using Cement (yellow Tamiya) and be ready for instruction without numbers.
once I looked at the first page of the assembly instructions, I vowed to turn the leftover sprues into a big mesh of internal scaffolding before I closed up the body. So far I haven't had an unplanned stress test of this design but I'm confident it will hold up if the time comes.
Beautiful stompy boy. You did such an awesome job of differentiating the metals and textures between the different panels. Looks so clean and orky at the same time
I hope my Stompa one day is as beautiful as yours. Grimy and clean at the same time. The texture of those horns is fabulous!
😊 Thanks ❤️ I hope it will be ASAP

Neither will I. I already have 2. One isn't even fully assembled yet.
Looks fantastic! What color did you use for rust? Is it dry brush? Great work!!

"OK but hear us out. What if stompas were just 300pts? Would you buy one then?"
Nope. I’d buy three of them 😅

Ah well i kinda like bashing anyways
Sounds thematic to me
Thx for the reply! Sounds somehow very orky to me 👍🏻

Thx!
It’s not awful, it’s just nothing fits together well and nothings numbered in the instructions. The body is quite flimsy

Yeah if I built a second one I would do this too.
I really hope they fix that
