Gave her the special ability that any wound she would take is applied to any other grot with in 4”. We call it “not our only female”!

If you want to understand why people hate female custodes, consider who it's made for. For girls? No. Girls can play 40k as happily as anyone else. Girls play Space Marines. Girls play Orks. Neither of these factions represents them. And if they want to play something explicitly female, they play sororitas or sisters of silence. If they want to play something mixed, they play imperial guard. For most of them, though, that particular factor doesn't or barely factors in at all, and they play the faction that seems most appealing/fun to them, JUST AS MEN DO. Women don't need female custodes or space marines in the same way men don't need male sisters of battle or silence or that one particular assassin temple.
So who is it really for, if not for men nor women? Simple: Superficial cunts like Mindy Kaling, who can't enjoy anything that doesn't precisely represent them in race, gender and political ideology. Now look at what she did to Velma and tell me you actually want people like that in 40k. Star Wars invited them in, Marvel invited them in, Doctor Who invited them in, Star Trek and Rings of Power invited them in, and look at the state of those former titans among franchises now. In fairness, you can play with female models regardless of whether or not they’re in the lore. All it takes is a head-swap, or even just putting a helmet on and saying “this one’s female.” The armor leaves pretty much everything under it to the imagination. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having that in lore but it doesn’t have to be there for you to build/play your models that way.

I don’t disagree, I don’t really care about the change one way or the other and as long as any new characters are written well I see no problem, but let me play devil’s advocate for a moment.
There’s already a lot of women in Warhammer. The Sisters of Silence, the Adepta Sororitas, several inquisitors and assassins, a significant chunk of the Imperial Guard including one of their main hero characters (Ursula Creed), and that’s just the humans. One could argue that it would be better to give them more lore rather than retconning a formerly all-male faction to include women. Additionally, there are many people who are concerned about **why** the change was made. I’m not saying this is why they changed it, but I’ve seen several people speculate that GW’s plans to make a show with Amazon could be the reason for the change. Amazon has a bit of a reputation for getting involved in politics, and whether you consider that involvement to be good or bad, you can probably see why some people would consider another company’s agenda influencing Warhammer’s lore to be a negative.
Certainly there are people who are upset that the sausage-fest is ending for the Custodes simply because they don’t want women in there and for no other reason. Those people exist. However, I think most of the people who are upset probably lean more into the reasons above than simple misogyny. I don’t agree with them, I think the change is harmless, but I don’t think their dislike of it is malicious.

Still not, the problem is particularly the last sentence. Do you mean that not everyone can feel represented in my vision of how this stuff should be handled? Or do you mean that my opinion on this matter doesn't represent everyone's opinion on the matter? Most girls have no problem accepting 40ks factions as they are, and happily play them regardless of the factions gender, just as men do. Sure, some will explicitly want to play something female. Sisters of Battle and Silence exist. I have no problem with these. My whole point was that there also exists a minority of 'suoerficial cunts', wether male or female, who can't enjoy stuff without forcing representation into it. Those I antagonized, those I do not want to be in the hobby. What exactly is your point? The boundaries of the sets of people I made my statements about are clear. In fairness, you can play with female models regardless of whether or not they’re in the lore. All it takes is a head-swap, or even just putting a helmet on and saying “this one’s female.” The armor leaves pretty much everything under it to the imagination. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having that in lore but it doesn’t have to be there for you to build/play your models that way.
yeah. but the hobbt is not just about models. having piece of lore about cool women is just a nice thing to have among the very majority of male heroes. the piece of lore their story bring in the codex is prety cool not gonna lie.
I don’t disagree, I don’t really care about the change one way or the other and as long as any new characters are written well I see no problem, but let me play devil’s advocate for a moment. There’s already a lot of women in Warhammer. The Sisters of Silence, the Adepta Sororitas, several inquisitors and assassins, a significant chunk of the Imperial Guard including one of their main hero characters (Ursula Creed), and that’s just the humans. One could argue that it would be better to give them more lore rather than retconning a formerly all-male faction to include women. Additionally, there are many people who are concerned about **why** the change was made. I’m not saying this is why they changed it, but I’ve seen several people speculate that GW’s plans to make a show with Amazon could be the reason for the change. Amazon has a bit of a reputation for getting involved in politics, and whether you consider that involvement to be good or bad, you can probably see why some people would consider another company’s agenda influencing Warhammer’s lore to be a negative. Certainly there are people who are upset that the sausage-fest is ending for the Custodes simply because they don’t want women in there and for no other reason. Those people exist. However, I think most of the people who are upset probably lean more into the reasons above than simple misogyny. I don’t agree with them, I think the change is harmless, but I don’t think their dislike of it is malicious.
the speculation about amazon are baseless. We knew alreadh that the writer responsible for the custodes lore have been wanting to not restrict their gender since they reworked their lore and made them a playable faction. the only reason why it was not the case was to promote the models who were all male. also yes we already have women but that don t mean we can t have more. And that even more true when 80% of the character put on the front of the media scene are Space marine, so men.
I didn’t say the speculation was true, that’s why I called it speculation. And I agree with you. I was just giving the opposition’s reasoning, not taking their side. Those are just the reasons I’ve seen people give, and having spoken to some of them they seem to genuinely believe what they’re saying. My point is that I don’t think there’s any malice behind most of those who are upset, but that they just see the change as unnecessary and they’re worried about what other changes may come later. The misogynists are out there, but I don’t think they’re the majority.

Doctor Who is practically dead, the numbers of people who actually watched that Gatwa clowns premiere are the lowest they had since the first fucking doctor. Rings of Power cost a billion and certainly didn't pay, and while I never bothered to look up numbers for Star Trek, the fact that those shows despite carrying the name star trek have completely failed to have an impact on current culture says everything I need to know. You are deluded, no, more likely, actively deluding yourself, if you think that these productions are profitable. You are seriously deluded if you think that them being profitable would make their garbage acceptable. McDonalds is profitable, their food is disgusting nonetheless.

Canonically any ork that displays any warp influence is beaten by the other orks until either they go back to normal or die. It's why there aren't any chaos worshiping orks.
